Singer Janet Jackson and musician Will.i.am hit up the UFC 104: Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida vs. Mauricio “Shogun” Rua fight Saturday night (Oct 24) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Janet’s late brother Michael Jackson was reportedly a big fan of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Other stars spotted in the crowd were Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore and if you look closely, Michael Strahan and Nicole Murphy were in the crowd too.

Well known philanthropist and television personality Oprah Winfrey helped her friend Cicely Tyson open her brand new school, “The Cicely L. Tyson Community School of Performing & Fine Arts,” Saturday evening (Oct 24) in East Orange, NJ.

In a move that surprised damn near everyone, Lil Kim and Cyndi Lauper performed “Time After Time” on stage together Saturday night (Jul 18) at the Mandela Day 46664 Celebration Concert … and Lil Kim sang! Albeit, Kim didn’t do very well with her vocals but we give her credit for being bold enough to do something like that in front of so many people. Polow Da Don and Will.i.am sat courtside together Sunday night as the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Dallas Mavericks in LA. We can’t put our finger on it, but something is definitely wrong with this picture. Can you help us out?

According to Contact Music, Michael Jackson, the undisputed King of Pop, wants to work with Ne-Yo, Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas for comeback tracks that are set to be released this summer. Kanye West also wants to join in the mix and has submitted a track for Jackson’s approval.

Jackson is heading back into the studio to record new songs ahead of his live dates – and he’s calling on the music heavyweights to make a killer tune for release this summer (09). Britain’s News of the World reports that the King of Pop is being helped by Will.i.am and R&B star Ne-Yo on his comeback efforts, and adds that Kanye West has submitted a track for Jackson’s approval.

After Barack Obama’s historic win this past Tuesday, happiness has hit an all-time high! And Will.i.am’s brand new video, appropriately titled “It’s A New Day” shows that happiness in all its many different forms. The video was directed by Ben Mor.

Sidebar: I had no idea so many Obama supporters are GOT readers! In our exclusive election coverage post, which remained perched at the top of GOT’s home page for several hours before Obama’s victory was announced, over 1,300 visitors participated in the poll which posed the question “which ticket did you vote for?” I’m sure several people who are not registered, and who probably didn’t vote, took a part in the poll, but the fact of the matter is over 1,200 votes went to Barack Obama, while only a little over 180 voted for McCain. And I’m sure a few people out of that small number, a few of them took time out of their lives to make hateful comments on our announcement post about Barack Obama’s win. Losers.

Us everyday Americans weren’t the only ones excited last night when it was officially announced that Barack Obama had been elected the 44th President of the United States of America! (Sidebar: Wow, it feels really good to be able to say that) Stars like Oprah Winfrey, Spike Lee, the Rev. Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and Kevin Garnett of the Boton Celtics were spotted leaving the club as well. Not sure what’s going on with Kelis, but aside from that glum look on her face, she looks okay from the eyebrows down to her shins. Now below the shins, and above her eyebrows … not sure what’s going on in those departments. I don’t think she knows either. Maybe that’s why she’s sad. At least she took the time to sign an autograph for a fan … how nice!

(J Records), which is in stores now – I highly recommend you buy this album! I think the single is gold, really every song from that album I find single-material. The song is really subtle with melodies and harmonies, it’s “whip-listenable,” as well as pleasurable, in my opinion.

Chris Brown ft. Will.i.am » “Picture Perfect” » LISTEN » (Full) » “Picture Perfect” featuring domestic-producer Will.i.am will be Chris Brown’s forth single from Exclusive (Jive). It’s interesting they’re making this a single; Chris Brown co-produced it. “PP” took me a minute to get into, it wasn’t my immediate favorite when I first heard Exclusive, but I’m feeling it now! I can’t wait to see how this plays out, with the promotion, video, etc.

Fergie » “Finally” » LISTEN » (Full) » “Finally” will be the final single from Fergie’s 3x’s platinum-album The Dutchess (A&M). The song itself was produced by John Legend, he was the pianist, and also Fergie stated that she would be performing with him at the 50th Grammy Awards. I liked this song a lot listening to Fergie’s album, the song was a nice ballad for her, it really showed her vocal capability nice.

Kanye West ft. Chris Martin » “Homecoming” » LISTEN » (Full) » “Homecoming,” featuring Cold Play’s Chris Martin, will be the fifth single from Kanye West’s 2x’s platinum-album Graduation (Def Jam). Unfortunately the song will only be released in the UK, instead of “Flashing Lights,” which is serving as the fourth single in the rest of the world. I said it once, and I’ll say it again, you UKer’s get everything! Lol. But for real, I really like this song, “Homecoming” has to be the most creative, conceptual song I’ve heard, as far as personification, this great man – is genius!

Will.i.am, Quincy Jones, Omarion, Akon, Wyclef Jean, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and Pharrell Williams talk about their influence with Michael Jackson and his Best Selling-album to date Thriller.

So the 2007 Movies Rock! show went down last night (December 7th): a night of movies, fashion and music! Performances include Chris Brown, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Will.I.Am, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J and Eve! It looked fun, I’d say my favorite performance would have to be Fergie Ferg with “Live and Let Die” (Guns N’ Roses), she did an amazing job and did that song much justice. Ooh, I also love Usher’s performance of Gene Kelly’s “Singing in the Rain” – great show! Really they ALL did a fantastic job, I’m so proud of everyone! I’m mad I missed it y’all! Ha ha, expect more performances after the cut!

Jordin Sparks feat. Chris Brown » “No Air” » LISTEN » (Full) » This is a new “rumored” single, “No Air,” featuring Chris Brown from American Idol’s own, Jordin Sparks. This is definitely a solid single, courtesy of The Underdogs, the only con I have is she oversings a tad towards the latter. Other than that I think this is a stellar pop ballad that is sure to top the charts almost effortlessly.

Usher feat. Ludacris » “Dat Girl” » LISTEN » (Full) » New material from Usher, say what? Yep, this is said to be a Rich Harrison production. The moment I heard this, I went into several mild seizures. Then it grew on me, tentatively, it’s different. My music tastes are a little weird, I know, but this may be that hit factor Usher needs. Some might disagree (or jump me), yeah, but just imagine if this came on in the club! I’m telling you, let it marinate, it will grow on you too… Look how dangerously big “Yeah” was.

M.I.A> » “Paper Planes” » LISTEN » (Full) » “Paper Planes” is said to be UK rapper M.I.A.’s next single from the critically proclaimed album Kala. Finally, I’m overzealous about how the video might turn out. “Paper Planes” is possibly one of my most songs off of the album Kala.

Will.i.am » “Pick It Up” » LISTEN » (Full) » “Pick It Up” is a new track, featuring producer Will.i.am, that can be found on the Japan re-release of Fergie’s certified double platinum-selling album, The Dutchess. Ooh, I like this! Nice, mellow, guitar driven ballad. Will.i.am was also a nice touch to “Pick It Up,” as he always is.

My two favorite songs by my two favorite artists! First up we have the video premiere of Alicia’s “No One” from her forthcoming album As I Am, I have always loved this song, I don’t know how she puts so much feeling into her art! The video is naturally beautifully. Next we have Nicole’s “Baby Love,” featuring as well as produced by will.I.am, the video is just how I expected it to be. I don’t know if that’s a good thing … but I love it! It correlates with the song beautifully, I have no cons. Her Name Is Nicole hits stores November 6th while As I Am hits stores November 13th!

It’s a nice stringy guitar ballad, I think this shows Nicole’s vocal range more than the previous singles she had, this was one of the few tracks I loved from her album. will.I.am was a nice addition as well, speaking of him, I did a crazy review on his latest (Songs About Girls), check it out HERE!
