The trailer for the fourth season of VH1‘s hit reality show “Basketball Wives” has finally been released, and if this nearly 5 minute clip is anything to go by, this upcoming season is going to be filled with even more drama than the last 3!

VH1′s “Love & Hip-Hop: Reality Check” episode aired on TV last night, giving viewers a behind the scenes look at the second season of “Love and Hip-Hop” in a way that is very different from the usual reunion specials.

The girls did separate interviews with the show’s producer Mona Scott Young, who pointed out that some of the ladies refuse to be in the same room with one another, making it impossible for VH1 to host a traditional reunion show.

The second season of “Love and Hip Hop” may be over, but that doesn’t mean the drama is!

It’s no secret that many of the show’s cast members don’t like each other. So to combat that, and the fact that none of the ladies can sit in the same room with each other, instead of wrapping up the season with a traditional “reunion special,” VH1 came with the unique idea to host what they’re calling a “Reality Check” reunion-like special that will feature one-on-one interviews with all of the “Love and Hip Hop 2″ ladies.

“Love and Hip Hop 2: Reality Check” is not your traditional reunion show. Due to all the fights and arguments the cast had with each other, the producers were forced to do something different since several of the ladies refused to be in the same room together!

In revealing, one-on-one interviews with Executive Producer Mona Scott-Young, all of the Love and Hip Hop stars speak frankly about which cast members they get along with, who they hate, and answer all of the burning questions that the fans want to know.

Can Emily and Fab work it out? What exactly was in Yandy’s explosive e-mail? Are Chrissy and Jim ever getting married? And, most shocking of all, find out who quit the show and may be gone for good.

This special episode is not so much a season recap as it is a revelation of all the dramatic moments that never aired as well as a candid look at how being a reality TV star can change your life forever.

In an effort to get viewers ready for the special, VH1 has released a couple of sneak peak clips. In one of the clips, Chrissy and Yandy (who we all know basically hate each other) each give their own version of the beef that brewed between the two throughout the entire season.

Chrissy says it was her idea to bring Yandy on the show in the first place, and she apparently wasn’t having it when producers decided to “expand” Yandy’s role, giving Yandy more screen time than her.

So Chrissy and Jim Jones gave Yandy an ultimatum. She could either continue to be Jim Jones’ manager and fade into the darkness when it comes to her role on the show … or she could quit as Jones’ manager and continue to be on the show. (And we all know the decision Yandy obviously made in the end.)

“I am so good at what I’ve done, I’ve made an avenue for you!” Chrissy says in clip #2, in reference to Yandy. “We want to talk about paychecks and who is doing what? Bitch you on my show! I am so good at what I’ve done, I’ve made an avenue for you! Bow down!”

The checks are about to start coming in for Vanessa Bryant.

In addition to receiving three houses and $75 million, the estranged wife of Kobe Bryant will soon be made an offer by the producers of VH1′s “Basketball Wives.”

According to TMZ:

Producers are putting together “an extremely lucrative pitch for Vanessa” … for her to become a recurring character.

As one source put it, “Vanessa has more than enough storyline and would bring the show to another level.”

As for the timing — we’re told producers never dreamed of approaching Vanessa while she was married to Kobe … and our sources say Vanessa would NOT have been receptive.

If Vanessa accepts, we’re told producers would instantly make her a LEAD on the LA edition of the show.

This would definitely give us all something to look forward to on the upcoming new season. Wonder what Jackie Christie has to say about this???

VH1 hosted their “Divas 2011″ concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City Sunday night (Dec 18).

Among the celebrities who walked the red carpet just before the ceremony took place were R&B singers Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott and Chaka Khan, as well as rappers 50 Cent and Common, Pop singer Jessie J and country music legend Dolly Parton.

Fans of VH1′s “Love and Hip-Hop“ will be glad to know that a new franchise of the show is said to be in the works.

According to our friends over at Straight from the A, industry insiders say that “Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta” could be making its way to your TV screens one day soon:

Former Crime Mob member Diamond (Lil Scrappy’s long time ex, and Soulja Boy’s jump off) has reportedly been offered a role on the upcoming show.

Things are still in the beginning stages and Diamond has a few details to hash out before she’ll ink the deal. Apparently, the producers of the show want her to be 100 percent herself in front of the cameras, but her publicists would prefer to finesse things a little bit. “Diamond would definitely be the Chrissy [Lampkin] of the group.”

Others mentioned on the list include A-town rapper Rasheeda, Lil Wayne baby mama #3(?) Nivea, and I’ve also heard talks of Cee-lo Green‘s ex, Christina Johnson being approached as an addition to the Atlanta Love & Hip Hop cast.

With all of the other reality shows already out there, we think adding another one to the mix this soon would probably be overkill.

Now … if Usher’s ex wife Tameka were to somehow join the cast, then we might have a reason to tune in, just because we know she’s gonna probably end up being like Jackie Christie on BBW L.A. Couldn’t you see that?

Stacey Dash fans were shocked when the actress announced back in August that she was leaving VH1′s new show “Single Ladies” after just one season, and would not be reprising her role as Val in the upcoming second season.

A few months later, VH1 announced that former soap star Denise Vasi (“All My Children”) would be filling Stacey Dash’s spot, and would not be playing Val, but instead, a new character named “Raquel.”

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Vasi — who many say resemble Stacey Dash — talks about her new role and how she got the job. See what she had to say below:

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: How did this come together?
DENISE VASI: Obviously the show was a huge success and I had the conversation with my manager. “Let’s keep an eye out if anything comes up even guest-star wise for the show.” A casting sheet went out and I went in and read the first time and I was lucky enough to come back again and read a second time. Then I read in New York and I read one more time in LA. We had a few work sessions and then I screen-tested.

It sounds kind of intense?
It was but it was fun. When you see a network take so much time and they’re really specific, you know that they care about het show and it makes you wanna get the job even more because you know they appreciate who their audience is and what they’re looking for.

Did you get a chance to read with the other actresses?
I got the great opportunity to screentest with LisaRaye which was really fun.

So your character Raquel is a friend of Keisha’s right?
Yes. A long time friend of Keisha’s.

So how will Raquel be introduced?
Raquel is going to come back and stir the pot in a different way and bring some exciting new energy. We don’t wanna say too much.

Is she kind of a villain?
No no she’s not at all but the way she’s discovering herself will be different than what we’ve seen before.

You actually look a little bit like Stacey Dash. Has anyone told you that?
Thank you. Yes. We have similar features so that’s a great compliment, yeah.

Are you gonna have to relocate to Atlanta?
I am for the shooting time which is January to May. I’ve really excited to explore a new city. I hear there’s great food and good shopping.

This seems like the biggest role yet of your career. Is that exciting?
Yeah it’s the big next step which is very exciting.

Are you single lady in real life?
Well I’m not a married lady [laughs]. Trust me I’ve done a lot of dating. I’ve got a lot of stories. I definitely have a lot to pull from.

VH1 has finally made their decision on who will replace actress Stacey Dash on “Single Ladies.”

After Stacey left the show a few months back, she left a huge void in the show’s cast. Well, according to Deadline.com, that void has been filled by former soap actress Denise Vasi … but not “exactly.”

Instead of playing Val (Stacey Dash’s old character), Vasi will star as an entirely new character. Apparently, Val will somehow be crossed out of the show.

Deadline reports:

Denise Vasi has been cast as a new lead on VH1?s hourlong comedy series Single Ladies. On the upcoming second season of the show executive produced by Queen Latifah, Vasi will star opposite co-leads LisaRaye McCoy and Charity Shea.

She fills a void left by the departure of Stacey Dash after the end of the first season. Vasi will play the new role of Raquel, a close friend of Keisha (McCoy) who is a savvy business woman from a prominent Southern family on a quest to discover passion.

“Denise is the perfect addition to the Single Ladies cast,” Queen Latifah said. “She is bringing a fun, new element to the show.”

“Single Ladies,” VH1′s first original scripted series, is a romantic comedy that follows the lives of a group of ‘Urban’ women — Keisha (LisaRaye), Raquel (Denise Vasi) and April (Charity Shea) — living life as an eligible ‘single lady’ in the city of Atlanta.

Last season, the show, created by Stacy A. Littlejohn and produced by Queen Latifah and others, averaged 2.8 million viewers. Production for the show’s upcoming second season is scheduled to begin in January to prepare for an early summer 2012 premiere.

Looks like Meeka has been kicked to the curb!

According to VH1 sources, Tami’s punching bag will not be returning to “Basketball Wives” next season, which begins shooting next month.

Basketball wives will have one less cast member next season.

Season four of the VH1 show “Basketball Wives” will have one less catfighter when shooting starts next month — cast member Meeka Claxton is getting the boot.

According to sources involved with production … Meeka has not been invited back — and we’re told she hasn’t even heard from producers since the reunion show was taped a few months back.

We’re told the final straw for producers came when Meeka filed a lawsuit against fellow cast member Tami Roman. Tami made it clear — if Meeka came back to the show, she would not.

A rep for Meeka could not be reached for comment.

Ah, well! Nobody really liked her anyway… Wonder who they’re gonna replace her with???

He hasn’t even been out of jail for a hot minute yet, and self-proclaimed “King of the South” rapper T.I. has already landed himself a new VH1 reality show!

After being incarcerated for 10 months, and released from an Arkansas federal prison on August 31^st, the rapper/actor will allow cameras to follow him and document his life.

Our friends over at Rap-Up.com report:

VH1 has announced plans for a new show following the platinum rapper as he re-adjusts to life as a free man after his 10-month incarceration.

The half-hour, 10-episode series premieres December 5 at 10 p.m. Viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at the King of the South’s most private and personal moments as he is reunited with his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and kids.

In addition to his career as a rapper, actor, and businessman, there will be candid moments of him as a father, husband, son, and friend. Cameras will follow Tip as he returns to the studio to record his next album, while abiding by a new set of restrictions stemming from his probation. Will the King be able to maintain his kingdom under a new set of laws?

In a statement, VH1’s EVP of Original Programming and Production, Jeff Olde, said:

“Viewers have always connected with T.I. and we are definitely thrilled to show the next chapter of this incredible artist’s riveting life with this new series. T.I. is such a multi-talented artist and actor, and though he has had some setbacks, there is no doubt he will use his considerable talents to get back on top of both the music and film business.”

Regardless of his past, you’ve gotta give it to Tip. He’s a man about his business!

It’s true. Stacy Dash was fired from left “Single Ladies.” (Insert obligatory sad face here.)

Yesterday, Dash, who played fashion boutique owner Val — one of the show’s lead characters — confirmed that she had left the show, not giving a reason as to why, which leads us to believe that the rumors about the “dispute” between her and her co-star LisaRaye McCoy … were either somewhat true, or all the way true. (Why can’t we all just get along?)

Stacy’s version of the “situation,” however, includes the fact that she’s a mother and she wants to be able to spend more time with her children. Read her statement below:

“I truly enjoyed playing Val on ‘Single Ladies’, but I have decided to leave the show. I have to be back in LA with my children right now and the ‘Single Ladies’ shooting location makes that impossible. I wish VH1 the best of luck with the show and in maintaining the strong fan base we developed in season one.”

VH1 has also issued a statement on the matter:

“VH1 respects Stacey’s decision and her commitment to what she feels is best for her family. We thank her for all of her hard work in making ‘Single Ladies’ a success right out of the gate, and we wish her nothing but the best in her future plans.”

“Single Ladies,” VH1′s first scripted original series, has been renewed for a second season, and there is no word just yet on who the network will replace Stacey Dash with.

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens from here…

The drama-filled season finale of “Single Ladies” aired last night, but it looks like there is even more drama behind the scenes.

According to the rumor mill (tipped off by a tweet from journalist Jawn Murray), Stacey Dash — who plays one of the lead roles on the popular VH1 show — was fired, and a search has been underway for the past few weeks to find her replacement.

Murray also tweeted that Dash clashed with her co-star LisaRaye, as well as other cast members, which ultimately led to her being let go from the show.

Right after the “Single Ladies” season finale aired Monday night, STacey Dash Dash tweeted the following, as if she’s still a part of the cast:

WELL? Fantastic, right? Isn’t the writer brilliant? Can’t wait to see what Stacy Littlejohn has in mind for Season 2! 1 more hour here in LA

“Single Ladies,” VH1′s first hour-long scripted series, was picked up for another season. Averaging at around 3 million viewers every Monday night, the show has proven to be a success so far.

So all of these “Stacey Dash was fired” talks could, indeed, be a clever publicity stunt cooked up by the network’s publicity department.

The official cast for the L.A. spin-off of VH1′s “Basketball Wives” was announced last month, and now we can all finallysee what this ensemble cast of women will look like!

The cast includes Jackie Christie (retired NBA player Doug Christie’s wife), Draya Michele (who used to date Chris Brown — not sure where she falls in as a “basketball wife” though), Laura Govan (ex fiancee of NBA star Gilbert Arenas and allegedly slept with Shaq while he was married to Shaunie, which led to Shaunie filing for divorce from Shaq), Laura’s sister Gloria Govan (who is currently Matt Barnes’ fiancee), Kimsha Artest (Ron Artest’s ex-wife — though they’re still good friends), Imani Showalter (Milwaukee Bucks player Stephen Jackson’s ex fiancee/baby mama) and Malaysia Pargo (wife of Chicago Bulls player Jannero Pargo).

So basically, we have 2 wives, 1 home-wrecker, 2 ex-fiancees and a Los Angeles socialite who used to have sex with a famous R&B singer. Interesting.

Recently, Shaunie O’Neal, who created and currently produces the original “Basketball Wives” show, spoke on the new spin-off cast and even went as far as to call a few of the ladies “trashy.” She told BET:

“The L.A. cast — there are some wives and fiancés, which I’m fine with. But there’s a little bit of trash kind of sprinkled into that cast that I’m totally against. I was really very hands off with that cast. It’s just drama and…that’s not my vision. I don’t think that all money is good money. I don’t need it that bad. So we are having some issues.”

Wonder who she’s referring to … **cough** the Govan sisters **cough cough** and **cough cough** Draya Michelle **cough**

There is definitely some bad blood between cast members of VH1′s hit drama-filled reality show “Basketball Wives” … so much so that Tami Roman and Meeka Claxton got into a fist fight at a nightclub in Rome, Italy this week!

Sources close to the show tell TMZ that the pair have been on “frigid terms” for a few months now, because Tami feels as though Meeka is an instigator and creates animosity between the other women on the show.

Meeka denies Tami’s accusations, of course, but during a recent taping at an Italian nightclub (where the girls were filming several scenes abroad) Tami decided it was a good time to confront Meeka about the situation. And we all know how things go down whenever Tami is involved!

According to TMZ’s report, once Tami confronted Meeka … fists (mainly Tami’s) started flying and a full-on brawl broke out, ending with Tami punching Meeka right in the face!

After the scuffle, the ladies were escorted out of the club by security and no one was seriously injured.

Who else (besides us) can’t wait to see this on TV?

After recently confirming to Vibe that her reality show entitled “Behind Her Shades” will be released via VH1. A rep from VH1 has told MTV News that they have not received the memo concerning model Amber Rose’s new show…OUCH!

Amber recently told Vibe:

“I have a reality show that’s gonna come out on VH1. I start filming early June. So that’s going to be incorporated in the show. The shop isn’t up right now. You’ll see the process I have to go through to in order to.it’s not really easy to get a store and get people to come. My show’s gonna be an open book of my life, my family, my businesses. It’s called ‘Behind Her Shades’ because I usually have shades on, and it’s everything that’s behind them that people don’t know about but they’ll learn and part of that is my shade shop”.

So what in the world is Amber talking about?!?…only time will tell.

VH1 went “Behind the Music” with Nelly Monday night (Mar 7). The show did a fantastic job of chronicling the St. Louis native’s rise to fame, as well as his struggles with the death of his sister Jackie, his relationship with R&B singer Ashanti and more.

Suzie Ketcham – one of the stars of VH1’s “Basketball Wives” – won’t be returning for a third season … because TMZ has learned, she just couldn’t handle life in the spotlight.

According to a source close to the production, shooting the show was draining and Suzie “couldn’t take the heat” as a reality star anymore — so Season 2 will be her last.

And the random people constantly trash-talking her on Twitter didn’t help either — we’re told by the end of the last season, all the cyber-hate was beginning to take its toll.

The 16th Annual VH1 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards was held Friday night (Jan 14) at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, and stars like Justin Bieber, Kim & Khloe Kardashian, Amber Rose, Keri Hilson, Lala Vazquez, Mila Kunis, Natalie Portman and more all showed up to walk the red carpet before the event.

Inside, Keri Hilson took to the stage and performed “Son of a Preacher Man” from the movie “Pulp Fiction” in a special tribute to film director Quentin Tarantino. Maroon 5‘s Adam Levine also performed on stage during the show.

Other celebs who attended the 2011 CCMAs included Ashton Kutcher, Ice Cube, John Legend, Jesse Eisenberg (from “The Social Network”) and more.

Chilli is back with another season of her VH1 reality series “What Chilli Wants.”

Since the first go-round didn’t go according to plan, the 40-year-old R&B singer is at it again, and this time she’s looking for not only the “perfect man,” she’s also, according to the press release, on the hunt for a “potential husband and father.”

The first episode of the second season of “What Chilli Wants” premieres at the top of next year on January 2nd on VH1.

VH1 saluted the troops over the weekend (Fri. Dec 3) with their annual “Divas” concert celebration.

Hosted by comedian Kathy Griffin, VH1 Divas 2010 aired Sunday night (Dec 5) and featured performances from Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Keri Hilson and more. The special also featured appearances from R&B singer Brandy and rapper MC Lyte, who joined Keri Hilson and Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles for a performance.

Pop singer Katy Perry will be joined by rapper Nicki Minaj, R&B singer Keri Hilson, country duo Sugarland and rock band Paramore for the upcoming 2010 VH1 Divas concert, which will feature the ladies as they perform for U.S. troops in various military bases around the globe this Christmas.

The show will be taped at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, California where Perry, Minaj, Hilson and Sugarland will take the stage, while Paramore is set to perform via satellite at a military base in the Middle East.

“VH1 Divas: Salute the Troops” will air December 5th on VH1 and internationally through the Armed Forces Network.

R&B singer Fantasia Barrino‘s highly anticipated VH1 Behind the Music television special airs tonight at 9 pm, and video footage of the American Idol winner talking about her recent suicide attempt on the TV special has been released!

In the clip, a noticeably emotional Fantasia talks about what pushed her over the edge and caused her to down an entire bottle of pills in an attempt to take her own life, adding that she knew “exactly” what she was doing.
