Looks like Foster is taking the animosity surrounding her in the media not too well, proceed:

The mother of R&B star USHER’s baby boy has lashed out at the singer’s jealous fans, who have made her life a misery ever since the couple announced its engagement.

Tameka Foster, who wed Usher in September (07) and gave birth to their son last week (26Nov07), can’t believe how the black media and black women, in particular, have turned on her.

She insists her love for the Yeah! hitmaker is for real, despite claims she’s using Usher to boost her fashion empire.

Foster tells Essence magazine, “We (black women) don’t like ourselves. If I were Hispanic, Usher would have the sexiest wife alive. If I were mixed, he’d have the sexiest wife alive.

“But he has a black girl, and it’s like, ‘She’s horrible and she’s ugly!’ “OK, maybe I don’t fit the cookie-cutter standard - 25 and a size two - but this is who he loves.” And Foster insists those that just want to bad mouth her should turn their attentions to more pressing matters.

She rants, “There are women getting raped in Darfur, young girls being turned out every single day right here in Atlanta. We have bigger issues to worry about than two people in love with each other.” And soul star Patti LaBelle, who refers to Foster as her “second daughter”, backs her up in the article, adding, “Tameka is a pretty black woman who has been married before… but Usher knows her past and he loves her.”

Damn, did I mention how much I love her? She has a point, you know. I could care less about Usher’s personal life, much less who he weds, hell — Usher can marry a man (no pun intended) — I wouldn’t care. As long as he is happy (and making good music of course) and truly loves this beautiful black woman I see no cons. I must admit, we as black people, are our own enemies. White people love and adore Britney, Lindsay, etc. How come we don’t support each other more? It’s sad.

EDIT: It’s been confirmed by PEOPLE that Usher and Tameka Foster welcomed a baby boy Monday night. Usher Raymond V was born in Atlanta, GA at 9:55 P.M., and weighed in at 7 pounds 9 ounces, according to a statement released by the proud parents. “We are so happy and proud of our beautiful son,” the couple said. “What a blessing!” The family is expected to return home sometime today.

The 2007 American Music Awards went down last night at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. The show was telecast live on CBS and featured performances from Fergie, Chris Brown, Beyonce (and Sugarland), Rihanna & Ne-Yo, and more. Winners included Justin Timberlake, T.I., Akon, Rihanna, and Beyonce, who won the most prestigious honor of the night! Beyonce took home the “International Star of the Year” award, an honor only previously given to Michael Jackson, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and Rod Stewart. This makes her the first female to ever win that award, which was presented by Usher (who fumbled through 95% of it I might add lol — what’s on his mind??). Other than that I think this is a stellar pop ballad that is sure to top the charts almost effortlessly.

The moment I heard this, I went into several mild seizures. Then it grew on me, tentatively, it’s different. My music tastes are a little weird, I know, but this may be that hit factor Usher needs. Some might disagree (or jump me), yeah, but just imagine if this came on in the club! I’m telling you, let it marinate, it will grow on you too… Look how dangerously big “Yeah” was.

Ooh, I like this! Nice, mellow, guitar driven ballad. Will.i.am was also a nice touch to “Pick It Up,” as he always is.

Tameka’s starting to piss me off again. I’ve done a pretty good job over the past month or so not calling her by her famed alias “Man-eka,” but that’s about to end … now. I used to be a diehard Usher fan, and while I haven’t been fond of the way he’s been acting since meeting his new husband/baby-daddy, I’ve still managed to anticipate this upcoming album. Because let’s face it, the man can make some good music! Confessions, anyone? But back to the matter at hand…

According to recent reports, Man-eka has “ordered him” to focus on their impending parenthood instead of his musical career. Gossip column PageSix claims that “she has banned” Usher from making his big comeback - which was scheduled for next month, November ‘07 - until long after Usher Raymond XXV is born. Here’s what an anonymous source is saying:

Usher only listens to Tameka now, and she wants all Usher’s focus to be on her and the baby. The album had been in the works for over a year… now it looks like it’s never going to happen.

Ordered? Banned? WTF?! What kind of “man” is he? I guess we all know who wears the pants in this relationship. The twat can’t be THAT good, can it?!

Haha I don’t know about y’all but to me, Usher appears to be a little annoyed by Tameka’s actions. But I could be wrong … and I’m probably not. If these two were to come out with a reality show, my black behind would tune in (on time) every, single, week. And don’t act like you wouldn’t cause you know you would =). THIS DUDE JUST GETS RICHER AND RICHER! » Def Jam CEO Jay-Z, who’s also a co-owner of NBA’s New Jersey Nets, is making a bid to rename and rebrand the Continental Airlines Arena with his Rocawear Clothing line. According to various reports, Sean Carter himself is attempting to buy out the arena name since the Continental Airlines naming-rights contract recently expired. The airline relinquished their contract once the NHL Devils (another “home team” in addition to the Nets) announced plans to build a new stadium in Newark, NJ. Clothing lines Izod and Southpole are also in talks to gain the naming-rights.

“We’re looking forward to presentations by bidders next week and then we’ll get into the process of evaluation,” says New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority president George Zoffinger. “I’m optimistic that we’ll be able to over-achieve the current financial deal that we [had] with Continental.”
