So a snippet of the video for Usher’s new single Love in this Club has hit the net, and I can’t really say that I’m feeling it. But it’s only 30 seconds, so I’ll reserve a full judgement for Monday (Apr. 7th) when it’s supposed to premiere. Oh, and I just love how I saw Keri Hilson’s face only once in that whole 30 seconds. Looks like ol’ Tameka got to the editors too! Now, you may be thinking: “But Dustin, it’s just 30 seconds! And it’s Usher’s video…” Well I figure an entire video is about 4 minutes long, right? You do the math lol. 4 minutes times 60 seconds per minute, equals 240 seconds. 30 of 240 seconds is about 12%. So that’s 12% of the video. But it might just be that 12% where you barely see her, so like I said before, I’ll reserve a full judgement for when the FULL video premieres.

Anyway, the 2008 Kids’ Choice Awards went down Saturday night in L.A. and you know all of the adult stars brought their kids to Nickelodeon’s annual awards ceremony. Every year around this time, the KCA’s honors the year’s biggest television, movie and music acts, as voted by kids who watch Nickelodeon.
The streets are talking! And they don’t have many good things to say about Usher’s new wifey Tameka. Word on the sidewalk is that home girl was acting up on the set of her husband’s new video for In This Club. You see, Usher made two big mistakes. Mistake #1: Hiring Tameka as the stylist for his video. Mistake #2 (but technically not really a mistake): Hiring Keri Hilson as the leading lady; someone who is much more beautiful than that Tameka creature whom he calls “wife.” Anyway, a spy for Page Six let the cat out of the bag, and revealed all of the dirt that you’d never hear come from the mouths of neither Usher nor his PR team. Foster was “domineering” and displayed her trademark “Tameka wrath” during a video shoot for Usher’s new song, “Love in the Club,” the weekend of March 15 in LA. Our on-set source said Foster was upset when she found out stunning singer/songwriter Keri Hilson was personally picked by Usher to play his love interest in the video.
“It was supposed to be a sexy video shoot,” our spy said. “And Tameka was there the entire time guarding like a watchdog. It was ridiculous – she knows Keri and knows she’s no video ho or Karrine Steffans.” Steffans, nicknamed “Superhead,” wrote the book, “Video Vixen,” about her alleged flings with Usher and several other artists.
“Tameka is very insecure,” our source said. “Even in rehearsals she was weird and clearly not happy that Keri is so gorgeous. Tameka threw a lot of attitude. The day of the shoot, Tameka dressed Keri very badly – she looked like an extra. Tameka wouldn’t let Keri have her hairdresser there – she had to use the hairdresser who was doing the extras.”
Foster also took a dislike to Usher’s longtime choreographer, Jamaica, and banned her from the set. When Usher and Foster were spotted at the Beverly Hills Hotel last week, “They barely said one word to each other,” we’re told.

Usher’s new song ‘Love In This Club’ featuring Young Jeezy, from his forthcoming album Here I Stand (Jive)[ 1 ], set to release this June 2008, has soared from number 51 on iTunes all the way to number 1![ 2 ] Now keep in mind that no video has been released as of yet, no television/radio appearances made, no promotion at all. Yeah … I think somebody owes somebody an a-polo-gy! With that being said congratulations Usher, tehe!
Usher ft. Young Jeezy – ‘Love In This Club (Radio Edit)’ – page link – I really love this song! Hell, I’ve loved all of the recent material I’ve heard so far from Usher, even the sonic-hit ‘Dat Girl Right There’ with Ludacris. Though I think ‘LITC’ was a more better single choice. And I guess the rumors about Usher releasing his album in 2009 are FALSE, according to MTV News, we all can expect a video to be shot soon. So hopefully we can also expect a Spring 2008 release on Usher’s new LP.
Nicole Scherzinger – ‘Happily Never After’ – page link - Irony. This is said to be Nicole Scherzinger’s 4th single from her yet-to-be-release album Her Name Is Nicole (Interscope). It seems as though Scherzinger’s people are ‘grasping at straws hits’ now, and I don’t blame them, seeing how subpar all of her previous singles have done on the charts, as opposed to Scherzinger’s moderate success with the PCD. Well, I suppose I’ll add my commentary on the song now . . . I find it kind of blah, or boring, the lyrics and production are definitely on point (courtesy of Ne-Yo) but it’s lacking something to me.
Ashlee Simpson ft. Tom Higgens – ‘Little Miss Obsessive’ – page link – This is said to be Ashlee Simpson’s second single from the album Bittersweet Word (Geffen) set to be released mid-Spring 2008. ‘Little Miss Obsessive’ features Plain White Tees’ Tom Higgens. The single, much less with ‘Outta My Head’, has more of the mid-tempo pop rock sound Simpson is most famous for. I like ‘Outta Myy Head’, it’s catchy, but so not her sound. Though she did say it was a ‘fun’ little song that was ‘personal’. Me no likey. I want that ‘Little Miss Obsessive’ Ashlee Simpson: pop rock.
Karina Pasian – Slow Motion – page link – I have seriously underestimated this young lady, named Karina Pasian, bb! I am loving all the material I’ve heard so far from her. I heard she been rolling with Def Jam for a minute which is questionable. I think Pasian has a lot of talent and charisma to offer!
