The 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards were taped Saturday (Sep 29) at the Boisfeuillet Jones Civic Center in Atlanta, and featured performances from Wiz Khalifa, Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz, T.I., Future, Rick Ross and many others.

The show, hosted by Mike Epps, also featured a tribute to Violator manager Chris Lighty from Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Diggy Simmons and A Tribe Called Quest.

Hip-Hop legend Rakim also received the “I Am Hip Hop Icon” award from T.I. and Kendrick Lamar, who was honored as “Lyricist of the Year.”

Diddy, Machine Gun Kelly, Kirko Bangz, Omarion, French Montana and Meek Mill also took to the stage during this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards, scheduled to air on Tuesday, October 9th.

It’s been at least five years since they called it quits … but at Monica‘s party at Club Liv in Miami over the weekend, Lil Wayne took the mic and professed his love for Trina.

While on stage with funnyman Kevin Hart in front of a packed crowd,  Weezy told his former love that he misses her.

“I just want to say if Trina’s in here, hey Trina. … I love you and I miss you baby.”

R&B singer Monica played host to a HUGE party at Club Liv in Miami on the night of Mother’s Day (Sun May 13) that was attended by several of her music industry friends.

Lil Wayne also hit the stage for a three-song performance set, while comedian Kevin Hart took the mic every now and then to crack a few jokes with the crowd.

Yesterday afternoon the nominations for the 2011 BET Awards were announced, and longtime musical talents like Keyshia Cole and Trina were noticeably not among the names called. This overlook didn’t sit too well with the ladies who expressed their disappointments via their Twitter accounts.

Cole didn’t bear any ill will toward the awards show despite her snub in all categories including Best Female R&B Artist.

“Its like this. Been on the scene 7 years. I was 21 when I got signed. 7 # 1 records. No awards 4 none of them/still touring. It is Wht it is,” tweeted Keyshia. “These types of thing R the way they R. I’m not upset about any of it in any way. I hope everyone that goes has a wonderful time.”

However, Trina’s response was a bit more brash and direct. “fuck BET……” fired off an upset Trina.

The Miami bred femcee was excluded in the category of Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, although she released her album Amazin’ last year.

Earlier this morning, Keyshia added her additional thoughts about the snub, tweeting,

“That awkward moment when u realize in everyone’s eyes your not the sh*t anymore. #POW. I’ve officially got the memo. Thank mtv/bet.”

Chris Brown partied his tail off — and apparently his shirt too — as he celebrated his birthday last night (May 6) at Club Play in Miami Beach. Lil Wayne, Trina, and a few others were also spotted in the building.

Next stop: Sin City! Chris is scheduled to head to Las Vegas tonight to celebrate his birthday once again at PURE nightclub where the 22-year-old will be joined by close family and friends.

Chad was said to have been “pleasantly surprised” when he walked in and saw familiar faces like rapper Trina and his teammate/BFF Terrell Owens. The now 33-year-old Cincinnati Bengals Wide Receiver’s daughters also surprised their dad by showing up to his first big birthday party.

Kim Kardashian turns the big 3-0 soon, and celebrated the occasion about a week early with a party Friday night (Oct 15) at TAO nightclub at the Venetian Hotel & Resort in Las Vegas!

Even though her actual b-day isn’t until later on this week, the celebrity socialite, along with her sisters (Kourtney & Khloe Kardashian), her brother (Rob Kardashian), her mom (Kris Jenner) and some of her closest friends, including Kelly Rowland, Lala Vazquez and Trina, partied the night away at the popular Vegas hotspot.

“I have mixed feelings,” Kim told PEOPLE on on the red carpet of the party. “Sometimes I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I’m turning 30,’ and I’m freaking out. Like, it sounds so old,” she said. “And then the other half of me is like, I feel so accomplished and it’s really no different than 29.”

After a 5-year engagement and a lot of wedding planning, basketball star Carmelo Anthony and former MTV VJ Lala Vazquez are now man and wife.

The happy couple exchanged vows over the weekend (Sat. Jul 10) in front of 300 of their closest friends and family at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. Insiders say the pair’s 3-year-old son Kiyan served as the ceremony’s ring bearer and escorted his parents to the alter before they said their “I do’s.” According to UsMagazine.com, the bride wore a Vera Wang gown as she walked down the aisle.

The star-studded guest list included folks like Kim Kardashian, Ciara, Kelly Rowland, Ludacris, Serena Williams, Trina, Kenyon Martin and more. LeBron James was also there and caused quite a scene when New Yorkers greeted him (with his girlfriend Savannah Brinson and BFF Chris Paul by his side) with a series of boos as he made his way into the building for the wedding.

Today is a big day for NBA basketball star Carmelo Anthony and his fiancee, TV personality Lala Vazquez. Anthony and Vazquez have been engaged since Christmas Day 2005, and are set to finally tie the knot tonight in New York City in front of their families and closest friends. The pair, who are mother and father to a 3-year-old son named Kiyan, have also been documenting the festivities and the planning that surrounded the wedding for an upcoming VH1 reality show to air in September.

Rapper Trina had her privacy compromised when her phone was stolen last year, and the person whole swiped the device went and posted ALL of her personal pictures, including some nude images, to the web for the world the see this week.

Speaking to MTV, the female emcee explained how her cell phone was stolen during the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta last October. And ever since, the person who had possession of the phone has been trying to get her to pay up. But she didn’t and they went and leaked the pics, and now she and the FBI have launched an investigation to look into the situation.

“[The images are] me on a very upset day — I think I was in Canada, upset crying,” she explained. “Just personal stuff. Photos in the studio. I think [one] was me having an allergic reaction, breaking out. I just think it was my personal stuff and for someone to do that is so, so wrong. So now I’m actually having it looked into by the FBI and it’s gonna be a bigger situation than just leaked photos. Hopefully we can deal with the situation and put an end to it.”

Trina admitted she took some racy photos of herself, however all the images that appeared on various sites aren’t from her phone. The rapper said whoever stole the images also placed some photos that are not her in an attempt to sensationalize the set. In addition to a few of the nude images, Trina said some of the photos are clean images of her at birthday celebrations, her with friends and an image of her fresh from a facial.

The set also contains several of Trina holding up her arm, which appears to have a rash of some sort, and she explained those pictures were taken in order to show her doctor — the rapper broke out but wasn’t sure what was causing the ailment. “I don’t recall being allergic to anything, but obviously, yeah [I am],” she said. “I was in the studio recording for a couple of days and just started having breakouts. And my doctor said you’re allergic to shellfish or makeup bronzer.” Her doctor, she said, diagnosed her with Urticaria, which essentially is hives and has since gone away.

“With the current state that Haiti is in right now, I personally feel like donating monetary and physical possessions is an enormous and vast donation; however, I would like to contribute on a higher level for more personal reasons like being ready to raise/nurture a child and by being involved on a day to day basis,” Trina states.

Hundreds to thousands of children have lost their family and parents in this natural diaster. There is no alternative for them due to flooding, hurricanes, and now this massive earthquake. Sadly, a series of a 6.1 tremor caused more diaster and killed and injured many people.

“The tragic and untimely list of events that have happened in Haiti–even before the recent “Earthquake”–have made me realize how blessed I am as an individual. I want to share that with a child who is a victim in this disturbing time, in addition to adding on to my immediate family circle.

“I am in the financial position to adopt, therefore, I am taking it into deep consideration at this time. I have always admired other individuals for adopting children not so much for their celebrity status, but more so because of the nurturing and invaluable change and joy it will bring to a child’s life.”

The release of her new album entitled Amazin is due out later this year. Trina is at the point in her career where she feels she can take on the responsibilities of motherhood and her infamous rap career. And she has a little Haitian in her too, which she says, makes this decision a logical choice.

“Lastly, the fact that I am considering adopting a child from Haiti is even more significant to me because a great deal of adopted children come into the United States from larger countries–like China, Russia and African countries. I also have family members that are of Haitian descent.”

So Trina is really trying to adopt a Haitian orphan? This should be pretty interesting. But good luck to her anyway!

Expect rumors of Soulja Boy and Trina to start running rampant though because we hear those two were pretty close that night and are supposed to be an “item.” Interesting… If that’s the case, major props go to the 19-year-old rapper for pullin’ a chick like Trina (who just turned 31)!

Female rapper Trina and her boyfriend, NBA player Kenyon Martin, were both involved in a fender bender in Belize today, reports TMZ. Kenyon is in town for a charity basketball event he is hosting Saturday night. According the popular news/gossip site, when they were leaving the airport, their car was side-swiped by another vehicle, which resulted in them being run off the road. Kenyon’s rep says that the two of them are fine, and no one was seriously injured.

The 2008 BET Awards aired last night and yours truly is here to inform you of the hottest (and not so hot) styles worn at the award show. Some of the best dressed female celebs of the night were Rihanna, Gabrielle Union, Jennifer Hudson, and Alicia Keys. Rihanna wore a neon yellow Giambattista Valli dress from his spring/summer 2008 line, Gabrielle Union wore a gorgeous white Celine Vonn dress, Jennifer Hudson wore A brown Peter Soronen corset dress, and Alicia Keys wore a strapless pink David Meister David Meister dress with Melody Ehsani Hate/Love Rings. I also loved Alicia’s Sergio Rossi heels. Keep reading for more styles from the show.

Some more looks I thought were hot came from Ashanti, Lauren London, Cassie, and Trina. Ashanti wore a black Marchesa gown, Lauren wore Givenchy Open Toe Ankle Booties and a strapless French Connection “Wizard” dress, Cassie wore a cute pink Vivienne Westwood dress, and while I loved the yellow dress Trina wore, her Louis Vuitton Murakami Monogramouflage speedy really took away from the look.

Each of my picks for my best dressed guys had on Guccci! Chris Brown, Mario, and David Banner were all dressed to impress and weren’t the only ones rockn’ Gucci. Rick Ross, Flo-Rida, Shawty Lo, and Soulja Boy all had on the brand as well.

For worst dressed we have Soulja Boy, Keyshia Cole, Lil’ Mama, Angel Lola Luv, Keri Hilson, and Solange. I liked the yellow dress Keyshia wore and the black Betsey Johnson Dahlia Dress Angel wore but, I hated it on them. The yellow dress looks to big on Keyshia and the Betsy Johnson dress just doesn’t look right on Lola. Soulja Boy and Solonge just have too much going on in their looks, Keri Hilson’s 70′s inspired style is NOT working for her and Lil’ Mama is just … unique.

From sporting top hats to wearing four watches on one arm, T-Pain was BY FAR the worst dressed celeb at the BET Awards. I can’t knock T-Pain too much, I mean, weren’t we all expecting him to wear something foolish? T-Pain is just different and I guess he likes to incorporate that into his “style.” Hey, at least it’s not stopping him from selling records!

Jermaine Dupri’s baby-sitter, Janet Jackson, took some time off of her 24 hour job of tending to little JD to appear at the 19th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Hollywood Saturday night (Apr. 26th). Of course she had to run home after she did her duty at the ceremony because child neglect charges aren’t something anyone wants on their record!

Halle Berry showed off her post-mommy figure at the Silver Rose Awards And Auction Gala in Beverly Hills last night (Apr. 27th). Hubby Gabrielle must be at home tending to the kid.

So NYC actually lit up the Empire State Building in honor of Mariah Carey‘s new album, E=MC²? As if there weren’t more important things to honor in the world. Not hating, just stating. The obvious. I can’t knock her hustle too much though, she’s still making that bread. Her album sold close to 500,000 copies in its first week.

Singers Mario and Jesse McCartney hit up Life Magazine’s 10th Annual Young Hollywood Awards hosted by Crest Whitestrips at the Avalon last night (Apr. 27th) in LA. My boy Mario is still doing his thing on Dancing With the Stars.

Actor Denzel Washington was spotted on location yesterday afternoon (Apr. 27th) in NYC for “The Taking Of Pelham 123,” his new movie, directed by Tony Scott. Be on the look-out for the movie when it hits theaters summer 2009.

Rapper Trina performed at the Beach Ball Festival in Miami yesterday afternoon (Apr. 27th). The festival is best known for its competitive activities that include staff members of some of South Beat Miami’s hottest nightclubs and restaurants going head-to-head in games of dodgeball, tug-of-war, rock climbing, and more. And to keep it even more interesting, there’s a liquor-tasing tent, and of course, musical performances.

[Begin Sarcasm] On a side-note, you’d neverrrr catch Khia aka “The True Miss Rap Supreme” performing at a “low-class” event like this. [End Sarcasm]
