Among the many celebs who walked the white carpet outside the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas were Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Trey Songz, Keri Hilson and Ne-Yo.

The King is back!

Rapper T.I. made a comeback appearance last night at the 2010 BET Awards with his new single “Yeah Ya Know (Takers).” Tip was his usual extra-hype self and returned to the stage for the first time at an awards show since his year-long jail sentence. Throughout the show, T.I. was very active and even joined Diddy and Dirty Money for their “Good Morning Remix” performance.

The 2010 BET Awards went down Sunday night (Jun 27) live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and the red carpet was full of black star power as celebrities like Ciara, T.I. (who brought along his entire family), Keri Hilson, Nick Cannon, John Legend, Diddy, Carmelo & Lala, Nicki Minaj, Brandy, the Black Eyed Peas and more arrived in style at the 10th annual show.

Singer Rihanna says that she wants to play an instrument live on stage when she goes on tour this summer in Europe. Her instrument of choice? The drums! And to try to make this dream become reality, the “Rude Boy” singer has been seeking private lessons from one of the greatest drummers in the industry himself, Mr. Travis Barker!

Word is she’s been practicing in a Los Angeles studio with the former Blink 182 drummer, who tweeted out a message and accompanying picture (above, left) early Monday morning (Mar 23).

“Teaching Rihanna some things on drums. She JAMS!!! Watch out for her!”

Rihanna on the drums? We can’t wait to see this…

Travis Barker does NOT like the paparazzi…

Over the weekend, rock star Travis Barker got into a scuffle with a couple of paparazzos outside the Cafe Marmalade, a restaurant in Calabasas, CA. Apparently, some photographers harassed him and his daughter as they entered the restaurant and Travis basically told the photographer, “I’ll kick the s**t outta you bro… if I didn’t have my little girl in my hands … give me an hour and I’ll meet you.” The photog said he’d be waiting.

As Barker exited the restaurant, he got into a yelling match with a new set of photogs and ultimately, the police ended up being called and the situation was quickly settled.

Since then, videos have been released of the incident and Travis Barker has released a brief statement via his Twitter:

Bottom line, take photos at red carpets. Take pics of hungry hollywood starlets and douche bags that are out at clubs and bars that like it. Bottom line I don’t. I’m not a socialite out begging for that kind of attention. I’m a family man out wit my kids. Don’t get the 2 twisted. And of course all the footage these lames released to the press is one sided cause they edited it.

The Black Eyed Peas performed their new upbeat single “I’mma Be” at last night’s Grammy Awards. After prepping the crowd, Will.i.am led the group into their next song, the party track “I Gotta Feeling,” which really got the crowd going. BEP ended up taking him 3 awards Sunday night (Jan 31) in the following categories: (1) Best Duo/Group Pop Vocal Performance, (2) Best Pop Vocal Album and (3) Best Short Form Music Video.

Pink opened up her circus-like performance of “Glitter” in a long white number that she eventually ditched revealing a sexy skin-tight nude colored piece. And wow… we’ve gotta give it to Pink for this performance. We don’t know many people who can perform trapeze acts in the air while singing!

Pink admitted that maybe she wasn’t the most obvious person to play on the show last night, since she had only lesser nominations. “People were like: Why is she here? This is why bitches,” she sneered, referring to her show-stopping, circus like performance.

Here Jamie Foxx can be seen paying tribute to Michael Jackson (comedically, of course) as the host of the 2009 BET Awards, which aired live from Los Angeles Sunday night (Jun 28) on BET. Jamie Foxx is probably one of the few people who can make light of a sad situation and have everyone laughing and crying at the same time. The BET Awards was supposed to dedicate the entire show to Michael, per the press release sent out Friday, but failed to impress.

The show itself was pretty good, but they should have never mentioned dedicating the show to MIchael if they didn’t have the time to do it right. That said, we really hope they put together an entire special to honor the late King of Pop so they can at least try to save face. Christina Milian was spotted arriving at the Staples Center Friday night for Britney Spear’s show in LA. Not sure why she’s trying to be “different” with her recent choices of outfits and hair styles. We’ll let you know as soon as we figure it out though.
