Toni Braxton gets the dance floor moving in the video for her new single “I Heart You,” which she co-produced and wrote herself.

“When I wrote this song I was thinking about the feeling you get when you walk into a club and you hear the melody,” the R&B singer said about the Bille Woodruff produced track. “You feel the beat and you just know it’s going to be a good night.”

“I Heart You” is the first single from Braxton’s upcoming double-disc album “Heartstrings & Synagogue Vibes.”

According to US Weekly, the singer/reality star is dating actor Eddie Murphy!

“They are seeing each other and very into it,” a source revealed, adding that the romance started up to four months ago.

Just a few weeks ago, the “Tower Heist” star was spotted backstage cheering Toni on at her L.A. concert.

Braxton’s rep is denying dating rumors, however a source close two both parties claim they have already introduced their families to each other.

“Toni and Eddie are just friends and have been fans of each other’s work for a long time,” the rep said, while the insider says, “Their kids have met and everything. It’s getting very serious.”

Toni Braxton and Eddie Murphy? Dating? Sounds like an odd pairing, but at the same time we could see them becoming a Hollywood power couple.

Hollywood gathered on a somber note last night (Sat Feb 11) at Clive Davis’ 2012 Pre-Grammy Gala, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, the same hotel where R&B legend Whitney Houston was found dead earlier in the day.

When the sad news broke, there were reports that the annual Clive Davis event would be canceled, but Davis — Houston’s longtime friend and mentor — said that the R&B/Pop icon “would have wanted the music to go on.”

“She loved music and she loved this night that celebrates music,” said Davis, adding that Houston’s family requested that the party continue.

Some of the many celebrities in attendance at the Pre-Grammy Gala and Salute to Industry Icons Honoring Richard Branson and Diana Ross included Diddy, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, Quincy Jones, Kelly Rowland, Dr. Dre, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Wiz Khalifa, Amber Rose, Jamie Foxx, Kim Kardashian, Gabrielle Union and more.

The star-studded event also featured performances from Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo, Pitbull, Marsha Ambrosius, Wiz Khalifa, Jessie J and others. Monica and Brandy were slated to perform their new single “It All Belongs to Me”, but we’re told they were unable to because they were too devastated about Whitney Houston’s passing.

Diana Ross, who was being honored at the event, told a red carpet reporter, “I won’t be able to enjoy it,” when she was asked how she felt about being the night’s guest of honor.

“By now you have all learned of the unspeakably tragic news of our beloved Whitney’s passing,” Clive Davis said at the start of the evening. “I don’t have to mask my emotion in front of a room full of so many dear friends. I am personally devastated by the loss of someone who has meant so much to me for so many years. Whitney was so full of life. She was so looking forward to tonight even though she wasn’t scheduled to perform.”

He continued, “Whitney was a beautiful person and a talent beyond compare. She graced this stage with her regal presence and gave so many memorable performances here over the years. Simply put, Whitney would have wanted the music to go on and her family asked that we carry on.”

Grammy Award winning R&B diva Toni Braxton paid a quick visit to Chelsea Lately Monday night (Dec 12) where she talked about her WE reality show with her sisters ‘Braxton Family Values,’ and how she’s “playing in the snow” these days … or in other words, she’s dating a white man, which she says is very different.

“I’m playing in the snow. It’s great, white people smell different. I can’t explain it, but they just do. [...] He likes to go hiking–black people don’t hike. He likes kayaking and stuff like that. But other than that, it’s the same.”

During the discussion, Toni also revealed how she’s working on her “inner-slut,” and how she’s playing both sides of the field by going out on dates with her ex-husband while she’s “playing in the snow.”

“I’ve gone out on a couple dates with my ex husband, but the white guy I’m dating doesn’t know,” Toni said before Chelsea joked that he knows now. “We [Toni and her 'snowman'] haven’t had sex yet. I’ve been locked down for 10 years. I’m not comfortable with the slut in me yet. I’m working on her though.”

Justin Bieber hangs out with his girlfriend Selena Gomez and his mentor/big bro Usher backstage at the 33rd Annual Georgia Music Hall Of Fame Awards in Atlanta.

Held this past Saturday night (Sep 17) at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center, the ceremony was also attended by R&B singer Tony Braxton, who posed it up with Usher backstage.

Usher and Justin Bieber were there to honor vocal coach Jan Smith as she was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.

Bieber performed a three-song acoustic set for his voice coach, who appears in his “Never Say Never” movie, and is currently working with the 17-year-old as he records his first Christmas album at her studio.

Usher surprised Smith, who was once his vocal, by joining her on stage during her performance of the classic tune “Georgia” during the show.

For years, many have wondered why soul diva Toni Braxton filed for bankruptcy after selling 40 million records.

Speaking candidly in a recent interview with BlackEnterprise.com, the Breath Again singer opened about her past financial woes. Check out the excerpts from the interview below:

You’ve been candid about your bout with lupus and microvascular angina. Recently, you’ve explained that your money woes are health-related. How has your condition had an adverse effect on your finances?

A lot of people don’t understand what lupus is. I have the kind that affects your organs. I tell people that if you miss that window for early diagnosis, it can be difficult to diagnose and result in heart disease or attack, which was my case when I developed pericarditis [inflammation of the fibrous sac around the heart]. My body was in a flare of the lupus, which caused my heart condition. I had just signed my contract when I was diagnosed and was forced to cancel my Vegas show because my doctor said it would take a good year before I was in any shape to get through an hour and a half performance. I was planning a tour and I had to get out of all of those contracts. Because I tied my money to brokering the [Vegas] deal, I was forced to file for a business bankruptcy to protect myself against people and vendors suing me. It was not because I was overspending or anything I did personally with my finances.

Is it true you will have to be on medication for the rest of you life?

Yes, chronic medication. When you see me looking chunky, it’s because of the steroid injections I receive which make me to appear bloated.

Your first bankruptcy occurred while you were signed to LaFace,but you weren’t able to talk about it. What went wrong?
No I couldn’t [talk about it] because I had a 10-year gag order. After TLC talked publicly about their bankruptcy [the label prohibited] other LaFace artists to talk, but now I can. I sold more than 40 million records, yet my royalties were less than $2000 dollars. People don’t understand that this issue went all the way to Congress about bankruptcy. All contracts are null and void except for a recording artist. Can you believe it? But the industry has changed now.

Some reports said that you were overspending and that the result was the financial trouble you experienced. Is that true?
People were reporting things like I bought Gucci flatware. Yes, I treated myself, and it was only $500. If I bought 1000 count sheets, they were from TJ Maxx for about $49, so I wasn’t living extravagantly. Yes, of course I spent money, but when you consider that an artist makes 4 to 7 cents on the dollar for every album sold and they have to pay back $20 million to the label for all the money that was spent to create, promote and sell that album, then, yeah, chances are you’ll end up in a whole lot of debt.

What would you say was the biggest money mistake you’ve ever made?
Tying up my own money for my Vegas show through my new company, Liberty Entertainment. Because of that, I had to file a business and individual bankruptcy. If I had to do it over again, I would get investors. I understand why you do it yourself because of the security; but putting your own money up isn’t [always] the best idea.

The Breathe Again singer disclosed intimate details of how she felt when she found out that Diesel, 8, had the condition.

During the Lindt Gold Bunny Celebrity Auction in NYC which benefits Autism Speaks, she explained to OK! Magazine:

“Diesel’s journey has been struggling. It’s been rewarding to see how he’s grown, but I remember when I first found out. I remember blaming myself; I thought it was my fault. I wish I knew what triggered it. Still, often, as a mom, I blame myself. I didn’t take my vitamins every day … maybe it was the medications I was on before I got pregnant.”

Braxton went on to explain further how having a child with special needs affected both her marriage to her husband Keri Lewis (now separated) and her eldest son, Denim aged 9:

“It was challenging when we first found out. No one tells you this part – but Suzanne from Autism Speaks told me ‘Toni, the divorce rate is 80% when you have a special needs, autistic kid.’ No one talks about that part because the parents blame themselves. Making decisions about therapy is going to cause you to bicker and fight a bit. It played a little bit of a role in mine. Not the complete role, but it was definitely a role.

“I remember my older son, though, his friend would say to him, ‘what’s wrong with your brother? He’s weird.’ Kids are honest. I remember my oldest son used to act a little different. He loved his brother, but there were moments when he was like ‘oh yeah, my brother’s different, my friends think my family’s weird.’ Once I talked to my son – you have to talk to the other siblings – once I spoke to my son and let him understand what was going on, he got it. Now he’s protective of his brother.”

You will be able to see further into Toni’s family life on her reality show, “Braxton Family Values” which will premiere April 12th on WE TV.

Toni has an autistic son, and since his diagnosis in 2007, the singer has been an advocate for Autism Speaks, the largest autism awareness group in the world.

Toni Braxton & Family will become apart of the celebreality world in April as apart of WE television network in a new series titled “Braxton Family Values.”

The 43 year-old singer, who filed for bankruptcy in 2010, will give us an inside look on how she’s surviving with her 4 sisters Traci, Towanda, Trina and Tamar, who are inspiring to be singers. Braxton has also thought about posing for Playboy in order to climb out of rising debts. This new reality show may just do the trick.

The stars shined bright at the premiere of Justin Bieber‘s 3D documentary “Never Say Never” Tuesday night (Feb. 8) in Los Angeles. Chris Brown, Usher (who brought his two sons), Toni Braxton, The Smith Family (Will, Jada, Jaden & Willow), Will.i.am, Miley Cyrus and many more all walked the purple carpet before making their way into the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live to catch the premiere.

Meanwhile, Justin Bieber was questioned on the carpet about his rumored girlfriend Selena Gomez (who was on hand for the premiere), and also talked more about his goals in starting an acting career.

After declaring bankruptcy for the second time in her life, it looks like Toni Braxton is doing whatever she can to make up for her financial troubles.

The 43-year-old singer revealed on Twitter earlier this morning that she is seriously considering doing a photo shoot for Playboy Magazine. Anything to get those bills paid we guess…

The 41-year-old entertainer is currently on a promotional tour for her sixth studio album Pulse, which hit stores last week.

Actor-comedian/philanthropist Steve Harvey, his wife Marjorie and TV personality Robin Roberts hosted a charity event benefiting the Steve Harvey Foundation at Cipriani Wall Street Monday evening (May 3) in New York City. And thanks to a generous donation from actor Denzel Washington and his wife Paulette, who have a joint non-profit of their own, Steve raised over $1 million for his foundation, which empowers the lives of young men.

The music video for “We Are the World: 25 for Haiti” debuted Friday night (Feb 12) during the opening ceremony for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

This version of the song, featuring vocals from Justin Bieber, Jennifer Hudson, Lil Wayne, Janet Jackson, Miley Cyrus, Jamie Foxx, Mary J. Blige, Kanye West, T-Pain, Usher, Wyclef Jean and much more, is much more contemporary than the original but it fits today’s music era. The song’s original writer and singer Michael Jackson also appears in the song and video (his sister Janet sings the first chorus with footage of Mike thrown in). They also kept one of MJ’s original parts and show footage of him singing it (Nice!).

The 25th Anniversary recording features over 80 artists and performers. The recording of We Are The World 25 For Haiti embodied the same enthusiasm, sense of purpose and generosity as the original recording 25 years ago. Every one of the artists who participated, regardless of genre or generation, walked into the room with their hearts and souls completely open to coming together to help the people of Haiti.

The 2009 Soul Train Awards, hosted by Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard, were held earlier this month (Tues. Nov 3) at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta and were aired last night (Sun. Nov 3) on BET. We posted the arrival photos shortly after the show was recorded at the beginning of the month and here are the pictures from inside the show!

Folks like Robin Thicke, Ludacris, Keri Hilson, Fantasia and more performed. Trey Songz and Toni Braxton opened up the show with Braxton’s new single “So Yesterday” and ended their performance with a big ol’ passionate smooch on the lips! Toni says it was all planned and her husband knew about it well in advance so any speculation about that causing the separation between she and her husband is reportedly false.

Basketballers Ron Artest and Shannon Brown of the Los Angeles Lakers also star in the video as Toni’s love interests. R&B singer Toni Braxton called into The Wendy Williams Show the other day and Wendy went right in on what everybody wants to know: how is she doing now that she’s “separated” from her husband of 8 years and was the Trey Songz kiss at the Soul Train awards behind their separation?

Toni Braxton: I’m a little sad about it. I really don’t like being separated, I enjoyed being married but we are definitely separated. We’re great friends and we have kids together and we still work together, but um, yeah we are separated.

Wendy Williams: But he was there at the Soul Train Awards.

Toni: Yes.

Wendy: What did he say about that kiss?

Toni: Actually I talked to him about the kiss before hand because the team and the choreographer suggested it because we were trying to narrate the song. There is a lyric in the song, in the bridge where it says, [Singing] ‘Don’t you want to try again, started with a little kiss…’ So the kiss, you know the girl, you tell the guy it’s over, he’s so yesterday and he kisses you and you kinda get lured back in again. So we were trying to narrate the song. That’s where the kiss came from.

Wendy: I didn’t know you knew Brooke Hogan?

Toni: Yes, I do. Actually I know her dad and said, ‘Oh my god we have to get Brooke in the video.’

Wendy: A lot of your fans are concerned about your health and we want to know, ‘How you doin?’

Toni B: I’m doing good. Much better. I went from 11 different medications to three, my heart is pumping well. I’m doing good. I don’t need a heart transplant. I’m great.

R&B singer Toni Braxton is gearing up for the release of her sixth studio album, which is set to hit stores on February 2nd 2010. And a video for the currently untitled album’s debut single, “Yesterday,” was shot earlier this month in Los Angeles by filmmaker Bille Woodruff, who also directed a couple of Toni’s old videos (“Unbreak My Heart” and “He Wasn’t Man Enough“)

The music video for “Yesterday” will feature cameo appearances from NBA ballers Ron Artest (pictured above) and Shannon Brown, both from the Los Angeles Lakers. The video is set to premiere sometime in November, but enjoy these video stills from her official website for now.

VH1′s Divas 2009 aired live from the Brooklyn Academy of Music Thursday night (Sep 17) in New York City and was hosted by former American Idol judge Paula Abdul. The “divas” for this year’s concert were Jennifer Hudson, Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis, Adele, Jordin Sparks and Kelly Clarkson.

Other celebrities at the show who either performed or presented included India.Arie, Stevie Wonder, Toni Braxton, Sheryl Crow and more.

Singer Toni Braxton and her husband Keri Lewis attended the 9th annual Lupus LA Orange Ball at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel Thursday (May 28) in Beverly Hills, CA. Her sister Trina Braxton also attended the event, along with actress Elise Neal and musician Sheila E.

The event featured a live auction and a special performance by Toni herself. Lupus LA and Lupus Research Institute (LRI) are partnering up to raise funds for new lupus research that aims to prevent, treat, and cure lupus. Continue reading for all of the pics.
