No one says “goodbye” like Oprah!

A bunch of the media mogul’s most famous friends, including Beyonce, Stevie Wonder, Jamie Foxx, Alicia Keys and many more packed into the United Center in Chicago for “Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular,” a star-studded send-off for the legendary talk show host.

Beyonce kicked off the festivities with a performance of her new single “Run the World (Girls),” which was followed by a poem recital from Maya Angelou (accompanied by Alicia Keys on the piano), a performance from music legend Aretha Franklin, an appearance from Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, a performance from Usher and more. The event also featured appearances form many other celebrities, including Tyler Perry, Tom Hanks, Maria Shriver (Arnold Schwarzenegger’s estranged wife), Simon Cowell, Patti Labelle, Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes and tons more.

“Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular” will air on television today (May 23) and tomorrow (May 24).

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes may need to set up a meeting with Kate Gosselin!

According to a report from Sun Magazine, the couple’s 4-year-old daughter Suri is growing up to be a regular pain in the a**.

“Whether it’s a priceless diamond tiara or cupcakes at midnight, spoiled Suri’s wish is her overworked staff’s command. She’s a champion tantrum thrower, and neither her mom and dad at home nor the cast and crew on Katie’s movie can deny her. She can be as sweet and charming as all get-out, but look out if she doesn’t get what she wants. Everyone working on the movie thought it was cute when Suri began telling people to ’shush’ as cameras rolled. But once she got a little more comfortable, she took charge. She was soon demanding cookies from crew members — and if she wasn’t granted her request right away, she’d throw a fit,” A close source told the mag.

“She loves shopping and has already developed an eye for picking out clothes for Tom and Katie. Money is no object to her parents, and they literally buy her whatever she wants. They’ve been known to spend $50,000 in one month on clothes and toys for her, and they allow their personal chefs and household staff to indulge Suri’s cravings. She knows how to mind her manners, but she’s learned that she can manipulate people a lot easier if she plays the pestering princess. Right now her diva act is cute, but it won’t be before too much longer.”

Sounds like Suri Cruise is a spoiled brat to us! Tom and Katie better nip this ish in the bud before she ends up like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and all he rest those other party animal, drug addicted rich kids.

“Knight and Day” places itself nicely amongst the many other mediocre films that have plagued this summer. While it is no doubt a fun film, it is extremely cliché and after a while you stop caring about the characters. That is, if you ever did.

We meet June Havens (Cameron Diaz) in an airport where she bumps into Roy Miller (Tom Cruise). They eventually wind up on the same plane where June, who thinks she’s headed to her sister’s wedding, engages in conversation with Roy and clearly starts to fall for him. While she’s in the plane’s bathroom engaged in conversation with herself over whether she should make out with him or not (though they just met and know absolutely nothing about each other), Miller kills everyone on the plane because *gasp*, they weren’t really just passengers. As this is happening, June remains in the bathroom, completely deaf to the gunshots.

After they crash land, Havens becomes the target of government officials because of her interaction with Miller, who we discover is a rogue agent. This is where everything becomes predictable and a bit unreal. Despite Miller’s many warnings, June enters into a vehicle with the government officials, making her a damsel in distress and causing Miller to have to save her at the last minute. This happens more times than not. Interestingly enough, though there’s a huge car chase where things explode and what seems like hundreds of bullets are shot, you never once feel like they are in danger; this is one issue I have with the film. June Havens seems impenetrable and it takes away from the audience being scared for her life; if anything, you will probably laugh at her stupidity at times. But at the same time, it takes away from the movie feeling like a “real” secret agent movie. If Superman, Batman, and Spider Man can get hurt, Roy Miller and June Havens should be able to also. Even James Bond gets roughed up sometimes.

Something else that irked me about “Knight and Day” was the lack of characterization. Because of this, we fail to feel much for either character, something that is important in a film. It seems that the writer and director spent a majority of the time on the production and look of the film instead of developing both Diaz and Cruise’s characters. They have their bits of comedy here and there which are great touches to the film but apart from that, the viewer does not know much about them.

“Knight and Day” is a good film but it leaves a lot to be desired. It is the explosions and action that you expect in an action movie. It also has the flirtation and goofiness that you expect in a romantic comedy. Unfortunately, in the process of attempting to combine both genres into one movie, things have been left out and forgotten and a lot of it is very cliché and predictable.

Overall Rating: 7.0/10 = C-

Can’t get enough of Tom Cruise‘s “Les Grossman” character? Well we have good news for you!

MTV Films and Paramount Pictures announced yesterday afternoon (Wed. Jun 9) at they are planning a movie based around the potty mouthed producer known as Les Grossman, who was brought back to life Sunday night (Jun 6) at this year’s MTV Movie Awards. Cruise and his “Tropic Thunder” co-star Ben Stiller will star and produce the film, with the help of Stuart Cornfield of Red Hour Films. Michael Bacall will write the screenplay.

Ben Stiller released the following statement:

“Les Grossman’s life story is an inspiring tale of the human class struggle to achieve greatness against all odds. He has assured me he plans to quote ‘F**king kill the sh*t out of this movie and make Citizen f**king Kane look like a piece of crap home movie by the time we are done.’ I am honored to be working with him.” Added Adam Goodman, Paramount Film Group President, “Everything I learned in this business, I’ve learned from Les. I started out as his assistant, and from the first day he threw his desk at me when I got his lunch order wrong, I have loved him like a father.”

The Paramount press release also included a “statement” from Grossman after he was asked what the screenplay would be about: “To quote my great friend Kirk Lazarus, `I don’t read the script, the script reads me.”’ Lazarus was a character in Tropic that was played by Robert Downey Jr.

Sunday night (Jun 6) at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, comedic actor Ken Jeong performed a pretty funny interpretive dance to the song “Doug” from “Hangover” with his co-star actor Ed Helms on the piano and singing the vocals. But unfortunately, the pair was rudely interrupted by a certain famous movie producer who felt that he and his dance partner could a much better job at entertaining the crowd!

Tom Cruise, who was in character as the curse word king Les Grossman from the movie “Tropic Thunder”, and Jennifer Lopez got it popping on stage and brought the audience to their feet with a hilarious dance number to J.Lo’s hit 2005 single “Get Right” and Ludacris‘ 2004 hit “Get Back.”

“It was a lot of fun – it was a blast!” Cruise told PEOPLE in the press room afterward. “You know, I can dance a bit, and we rehearsed. And my wife’s a dancer, so I like dancing!”

Award winning actress Cameron Diaz is the latest Hollywood celebrity to receive her very own star on the world-famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony was held Monday (Jun 22) in Hollywood, CA in front of the Egyption Theater and her friends Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Lucy Liu all came through to show their support. Her new movie, “My Sister’s Keeper,” hits theaters this Friday (Jun 26).

Diaz, the 2,386th star to be so honored on the sidewalk, which runs along Hollywood Blvd. and Vine St., dedicated the star to her mother and father. Her father, Emilio Diaz, passed away in April 2008, but her mother Billie and her older sister Chimene attended the ceremony.

“I dedicate this star to the eternal love that my mom and dad shared. It was what has given me the strength and courage to live this extraordinary life, and it was that powers the light that burns inside of me, bright enough for me to be honored today with this star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
