T.I. and Tiny paid a visit to 106th & Park yesterday evening, and during their stop, Hip-Hop’s favorite couple reflected on the life of Don Cornelius and the impact he had on African Americans.

“For me, it was about him creating a platform for us to be able to see ourselves. Every Saturday morning after cartoons went off, I was waiting and hoping Run-DMC or somebody was on there. If not for him, we wouldn’t have had that. And not just my generation, but generations before me.” Tip said.

Tiny recalled her first time ever being on the show was with her group Xscape.

“When I first started out, we were on ‘Soul Train’ and it was a great experience. It was the first time I realized that they lip-sync, so it was something different, but I loved it. He paved the way for a lot of us to make it and be seen.”

The couple also discussed rumors regarding them having another child.

“Ya’ll know I can’t give it away.” Tiny told Rocsi….with T.I. chiming in, ”The television channel said yal are gonna have to watch the TV Show”

Rapper T.I. and his wife Tiny, with the help of T.I.’s clothing label Akoo, hosted a premiere screening for their upcoming VH1 reality show at the Yotel Hotel in New York City last Thursday evening (Dec 1).

Rapper/producer Swizz Beatz also stopped by the event and posed for a few photos with the Hip-Hop couple. “Swizz is my brother. I support him; he supports me. He’s part of the family. Love,” T.I. told XXLmag.com when they asked him to share his thoughts on those who came out to support him at the screening.

“Thank everybody once again for showing up and for continuing to support us as a family, both personally and professionally. We hope you guys enjoy it as much as we enjoyed presenting it to you,” T.I. said before the screening.

“T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle” officially debuts on VH1 tomorrow night (Mon. Dec 5) at 9pm ET.

Lil Wayne and Toya threw their daughter Reginae a huge Cinderella-themed party to celebrate her 13th birthday over the weekend.

The lavish affair was hosted at the private Callenwolde Mansion in Atlanta Saturday night, and all of Reginae’s close friends and extended family all came out to help her celebrate her big day.

In addition to her famous parents and her step-dad Memphitz, the celebrity guest list for Reginae’s birthday party included Birdman, T.I. and Tiny, and Phaedra Parks and Kim Zolciak from the “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

Hip-Hop couple T.I. and Tiny pose in a family shot with their young ones in this newly released promo shot for their new VH1 reality show “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.”

The show, set to premiere on December 5th at 9 pm, will reportedly give viewers a rare look at Tip, following his recent prison release, as he’s readjusting to life as an entertainer, a businessman, a husband and father of six to King, Domani, Zonnique, Messiah, Deyjah and Major).

“Tameka and I have a strong, loving family,” said T.I. “In this family documentary, you will see the challenges of raising children while balancing a career. It’s like a lot of families, only our home is in the spotlight.”

According to the press release:

• Fans will get to know T.I.’s children and see their reactions as they realize their father is a member of Hip Hop royalty.
• T.I. teaches his eldest son, Domani, the secrets to putting on a great concert performance .

The intimate affair, sponsored by Ciroc and T.I.’s Akoo clothing brand, also saw an appearance from the rapper/author’s wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle.

In honor of his new-found freedom, T.I. hosted a private brunch in his hometown of Atlanta Sunday afternoon (Oct 2).

The rapper teamed up with his AKOO clothing line and his Grand Hustle Entertainment record label for the First Annual A King of Oneself Brunch, which was also attended by his wife Tiny, Tiny’s BFF Toya, rappers Nelly and Young Jeezy, Toya, manager to the stars Kevin Liles, producer Jazze Pha, Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed and more.

According to sources at the party, there was an open bar stocked full of Ciroc (courtesy of Diddy) and reps from AKOO measured VIP guests for custom-made clothing gifts. The whole party cost around $100K, with $20K just on food and an additional $8K on dessert.

We don’t know about you, but Tiny has more than proven to us on several different occasions throughout the course of her relationship with rapper T.I. that she is most DEFINITELY what we would call a “ride-or-die chick.”

According to the slang bible, aka UrbanDictionary.com, a ride-or-die chick can be defined as “A girl who is down for her man in any situation,” and between her getting arrested with her man and giving him a helping hand during a prison visit, Tiny fits the description quite well.

“I’m down for him. You have to know this person would do the same for you. Being down [for T.I.] is the easiest thing to do. He makes it so easy. He sets it out so great and perfect for me,” she told VIBE in December. “He’s like ‘You ain’t got to work, you ain’t got to do this or that.’ Just be with me. And we enjoy each other. It’s not hard to stay down. The least I can do is give back, and make sure I’m 100 percent and a strong woman.”

One of the ways Tiny gave back to her hubby was by showing her support all throughout his drug rehab for painkillers. “I attended a couple of his group meetings to support him. I didn’t want to leave him out there by himself,” she says. “I really wanted to be there and support him and help him get through whatever he had to do. I just felt like it was something very small. It takes an hour of my time. He was going, we’d be together, so why not?”

So is there anything to miss when life is a wonderland? “The only thing in my old life that I miss is working. Before I got with [T.I.] I had stopped working and going on the road, anyway,” she explains. “Life has changed with him. It’s worry-free. I don’t have to worry about getting up and going to work every day. I don’t have to stress about trying to get money or trying to make more money. He’s upgraded my life. I wouldn’t want to take back nothing.”

In related news, Tiny’s drug possession case has reportedly been dropped by the LA County District Attorney after she provided evidence that she had successfully completed 24 sessions of a drug diversion education program in Georgia.

Tiny and her husband, rapper T.I., were pulled over and arrested in Los Angeles late last year and booked for possession of a controlled substance. T.I., on parole at the time, was charged for violating his probation and sentenced to 11 months prison.

The newlywed couple got into some trouble with officials at the Arkansas jail where T.I. is currently serving his time after prison guards caught Tiny giving Tip a quick hand job during a family visit.

Ride-or-die chick indeed.

T.I.‘s wife can’t keep her hands off of him…….literally!

The rapper and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, got into big trouble with officials at the Arkansas prison facility where he is currently serving time after guards caught the newlyweds getting a little too “freaky-deaky” during visiting hours.

Details are below:

According to TMZ, T.I. and Tiny were alone in a room together during normal visiting hours, and during their brief solitude, some things that shouldn’t have gone down….went down. Way down. Down into his pants. In other words, Tiny got a little too “hands on” with her hubby “down there,” if you know what we mean, and obviously, the freaky couple got caught in the act.

Tiny confirmed that this really went down, and says that Tip was punished by being sent to a “Special Housing Unit” that is much more strict than the unit he was previously staying in. She says she hasn’t spoken to her husband since the incident, but is hoping to see him again soon. “No Hands” the next time though….

Tiny had her lawyer submit her plea on behalf because she was in Arkansas saying goodbye to Tip (who began his 11-month sentence Monday as well).

Tiny and T.I. were arrested in September in a traffic stop when authorities allegedly smelled marijuana coming from their vehicle.

Upon searching the car, police found pills (later determined to be ecstasy) and charged the rapper and his wife with drug possession.

But since T.I. was already being charged with violating his probation, his drug charges were dropped and now Tiny faces those charges along.

Tiny is due in back in court January 6th for a pre-trial hearing, and she faces up to 1 year behind bars. However, since this is her first run-in with the law, the judge is likely to give Tiny a stern warning along with community service or some other “non-jail” alternative.

Since this is Tiny’s first offense, it is likely she won’t serve any jail time. But all of that is up to the judge, and if he does decide to send her to prison, she could face up to 1 year behind bars.

Tiny is due in court today, and T.I. is due to begin his 11 month prison sentence today as well.

Following Trey Songz‘ album signing at Best Buy and his album release party (sponsored by Target) at Ventanas Rooftop in Atlanta, the R&B crooner and some of his celebrity friends continued to celebrate the release of his new project Passion Pain & Pleasure at Ludacris’ Straits restaurant last Tuesday night (Sep 14).

Rapper T.I., along with his wife Tiny and of course the restaurant’s owner Ludacris all came through to support Trey and congratulate him on the release of his 4th studio album (which released just 1 year after his third).

The mug shots of the 2010 version of Bonnie & Clyde — rapper T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle — after they were arrested on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood Wednesday night have been released (via TMZ).

The couple was taken into custody after police found a controlled substance in their car. They are now saying that substance was ecstasy pills.

Damn Tip….so that’s how y’all roll??? SMH…..

With all that rapper T.I. has been through over the past few years, you’d think when it comes to the law, the guy would “cross his t’s and dot his i’s” (PUN INTENDED) ….. but apparently, that’s totally not the case!

According to the always reliable TMZ, T.I. and his new wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested late last night (Wed. Sep 1) and booked for the “alleged possession of a controlled substance.”

Law enforcement sources say that L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies pulled the newlyweds over in their Maybach on Sunset Boulevard last night at around 10:00 PM. Deputies say they caught a whiff of that “sticky green” (aka marijuana) and after searching the vehicle, found a controlled substance. Sources tell TMZ that the “the controlled substance was not cocaine, but rather the class of controlled substance that triggered the arrest includes methamphetamines and ecstasy.”

T.I. and Tiny, who just got married on July 30th in Miami, were booked on felony possession of a controlled substance and were in custody on $10,000 bond before being released at around 4:00 AM this morning.

T.I. is currently on probation after doing nearly 1 year in prison on federal weapons charges.

SMH is all we can say at this point……SMFH!

The new series also gave viewers a peek behind all the glitz and glamour and highlighted their personal strength and commitment to staying true to oneself. TINY’S BIO:

“I can put my mind to doing anything I want to do. …Things are not important until I say they are.”

It’s been a long time since Tiny sang with multi-platinum R&B group, XSCAPE. A long time since the Soul Train Awards and her Grammy for writing the TLC megahit “No Scrubs.” A long time spent primarily with her fiancé, rap superstar T.I., her children, and her parents. Which is just the way she wanted it.

But things are changing. Last season, T.I. went to prison for a year and a day; her beloved father, Charles’ Alzheimer’s disease progressed to the point of near debilitation, and slowly but surely, Tiny turned back to her music. Despite T.I.’s disapproval, she went back to work at the thing she knows and loves better than anything—her music. She didn’t start singing again, didn’t go that far, but by producing her own girl groups, she was able to use her experience and her talent and still keep the peace with her “honey.”

This season, she takes her music to the next level. Showcasing a couple of girl groups in Atlanta is one thing, but now she wants to put them on her own label and get national distribution. And something else… maybe it’s because her daughter, Zonnique, is in one of the groups, the OMG Gurlz—which brings back a lot of memories from back in the day—or maybe it’s just being around music again. Whatever it is, Tiny is starting to sing. For real. And despite knowing how T.I. feels about her going back to work, she’s starting to sing again anyway. The drive to perform is a powerful one, and Tiny’s no longer willing to fight her own innate desire to make a comeback.

But with Tiny, it’s never just about career. Her father’s continued deterioration is forcing Tiny to come to terms with what it means to lose a loved one to the ravages of Alzheimer’s. Tiny’s mantra has been “try not to think about it so much,” but she’s discovering that denial is no longer an option. Her mother, Dianne—the heart and soul of the family—is going to need help very soon, and Tiny will have to step up and share in this labor of love.

A house full of kids, a fiancé in prison, a burgeoning career and a dying father. Life. And, as usual, Tiny is right in the middle of it.

TOYA’S BIO:

“The old Toya just was afraid of everything. And you know, the new Toya — She’s willing to venture out and just take chances. I’m loving the new Toya.”

When she was 12 years old, Toya met Dwayne Carter in their hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. By the time she was 14, they were in love, and she was pregnant. By 22, he’d become “Lil Wayne,” and she was a divorced single mom, living in Atlanta.

Last season, Toya struggled against the insecurities that had long trapped her. She found the courage to write an autobiography, Unwrapped: Life Before and After Lil Wayne, to help other young girls who are scared and alone. With a drug-addicted mother and absentee father, “the old Toya” knew all about scared and alone, but by the end of the season, “the new Toya” had come to terms with her past—she’d realized she can’t change her mother, and she’d even convinced younger brother Rudy to clean up his act and move in with her. She’d even broken free of Wayne, going on her first blind date with NFL player, James Hardy, who was cute and sweet and an all-around gem.

Now, Toya is ready to jump into a bright new future. But when you’ve had a troubled past and little guidance, how exactly do you do that? Carefully. That’s how.

Take James, the world’s best blind date ever—is this what she wants? Another celebrity? Another powerful man with another big career? What happens to Toya in that scenario? And just as important—what happens to Reginae? For a woman who has spent half her life focusing on her nearly 11-year-old daughter, Reginae, motherhood comes first. And what about her own mother? She knows she can’t change her, but can she get Anita to change herself?

Maybe what Toya really wants more than anything is to help the little girl inside her who never got to be a daughter. The little girl who still needs her mom. And Toya knows Anita needs to be a mom. Maybe she can ‘t change her mother, but what she can do is get Anita to take a bold step and check herself into rehab. After all, if she can’t use her money and privilege to help her family, then what’s it all for anyway?

Rapper T.I. will officially be a free man come next Friday (Mar 26), and his wife to be Tameka “Tiny” Cottle told VIBE that she and Tip will be getting married sometime this year.

“There are wedding plans coming soon, sometime this year,” said Tiny, adding that there’s no rush and that she wants it to be a small affair with about 200 guests. “Not too big ’cause I want it to be as private as possible. There’ve been a million rumors about us getting married. It’s taking away from the day that we really do get married so I just want to kind of have that moment for myself.”

Tiny also said she doesn’t bother with the chatter that the nuptials are taking too long. “I don’t really worry about what people say about what’s taking so long. Like, it ain’t none of your business what’s taking so long,” said Tiny of the engagement. “If we happy, why are you so concerned? We living, we’re happy, we’re in love. I mean, it’s no doubt in my mind that he doesn’t love every piece of me and vice versa so we’re just doing what’s comfortable and what works for us. Tiny and T.I.: Not for the world. When we get ready to make a move, we will make it. We just can’t do it for everybody.”

T.I. and Tiny have been together for almost an entire decade and have two children together. The second season of Tiny’s popular BET reality series “Tiny & Toya” is scheduled to premiere on April 6th.

We are getting word that rapper T.I. recently made his first public appearance since being released from prison. While currently holding residence in a half-way house, the rapper showed some love to his longtime girlfriend Tiny by making a surprise appearance at her and Toya‘s “For The Love of Our Fathers” fundraiser for Alzheimer’s research. Tiny’s father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a few years back.

Several sources have reported that T.I. (who wasn’t allowed to take ANY pictures) took to the stage to show his support for the fundraiser, which included performances by classic R&B group The Tams (which includes Tiny’s father Charles Pope, and was led by her brother Little Redd); newcomers The OMG Girlz (which includes the daughters of both Tiny and Toya), QT Jazz and Lil Shun and New Nu (from T.I.’s Grand Hustle label); as well as established R&B singers Kandi, Jaheim and Pleasure P.

“I am very well, very happy to be seen,” is what T.I. had to say as he accompanied Tameka “Tiny” Cottle on stage at the “For The Love Of Our Fathers” fundraiser for Alzheimer research.

GLOBAL GRIND

Along with making the appearance, Tip surprised Tiny with a brand new blue Porsche Panamera, which was parked right in front of the venue with a big red bow. Clearly, T.I. wanted to show how much he loves and supports his boo!

As Tiny sits at home holding down the fort, she briefly discusses with her fiancee  T.I. on the phone, “How is everything going?” And she’s provided an update on everything going on with the rapper.

“He hears things and we talk about it. He wants me to stay out the way, me being out of harm’s way. I know it’s a lot of crazy things going on so I try to stay in as much as possible because I don’t have him here. So I come out only when it’s necessary. I stay out the way…He’s doing good. He’s passing the time by working out and just doing things they do inside, you know,” she told All Hip Hop.

Tiny goes to visit T.I. every Sunday or Monday, with the only exception being an outbreak of a gastrointestinal virus in mid June swept the prison. Visitations were suspended for 18 days after 158 of the 2,000 plus inmates, along with several correctional staff members, reported symptoms of the virus. One inmate did test positive for norovirus.

But we’re glad to know all is peace in harmony in the world Tiny and T.I. as the Atlanta rapper  is still scheduled to be released from prison in the year 2010.

The 2009 BET Hip Hop Awards went down in Atlanta, GA Saturday (Oct 10). We hear Jay-Z and Young Jeezy opened the show in a big way with a surprise performance! Other tidbits from the show include the late DJ AM being the recipient of the “DJ of the Year” award, Kid & Play popping up during New Boyz‘ performance and Gucci Mane performing like 3 or 4 times. The show also featured performances from Soulja Boy, Ludacris, Jim Jones, Snoop Dogg and more.

The show, hosted by comedian Mike Epps, airs on BET on Tuesday, October 27th at 8/7c and we hear it was actually the best out of the few that have gone on over the past few years.

The biggest names in hip-hop entertainment hit up the 2009 BET Hip-Hop awards, held in Atlanta, GA this past weekend. Folks like Soulja Boy, Gucci Mane, Monica, Tiny & Toya, Pretty Ricky, Shawty Lo, Plies, Rick Ross and more all walked the red carpet before making their way into the building to enjoy the show, which will air on BET Tuesday, October 27th at 8/7c.

When you first heard about BET’s new original reality series, “Tiny & Toya” we bet you didn’t think, “Hey, this show is going to be the #1 show in history!” Well, according to stats recently released by Nielson Media Research, it is!

The season finale of the popular BET series Tuesday night (Aug 25) saw an impressive 1.9 milion total viewers, while the season premiere of “Frankie & Neffe” also saw the same numbers. And with an average of 1.8 million viewers per night, “Tiny & Toya” is currently the #1 original series in the history of BET Networks! The premiere of Frankie & Neffe stands as the #2 series debut in BET history.

“Tiny & Toya” chronicled the everyday lives of two ordinary women, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle (T.I.’s fiancee) and Antonia “Toya” Carter (Lil Wayne’s ex-wife), brought together in friendship by their shared experiences surviving the pitfalls of fame alongside superstar significant others. While the brand new series “Frankie & Neffe” follows the R&B Keyshia Cole’s mother (Frankie) and sister (Neffe) as they strive to gain financial independence and take charge of their own lives.

With impressive numbers like that, we wouldn’t be surprised if BET renewed both shows for a second season!

Their show comes on television Tuesday nights at 10 PM, and believe it or not it’s a pretty good watch. Diamond from Crime Mob also partied it up with the ladies and took a couple of pics with them.

Toya is featured on the cover of the upcoming issue and the video includes a snippet of the interview where she talks about how Wayne “proposed twice” even while he was dating Nivea, who is currently due to have his baby in a month or so. She even mentions how she and Nivea are still good, saying she’s a “sweet person” and the only girl she allows she and Wayne’s daughter, Reginae, to go around. Check out that clip after the cut!

Tiny was talking about how she was going to go see her man and how happy she was. She wanted to thank everyone for all the love. Toya Talked about how everyone is hating on Wayne for bringing the girls on stage while he performed ”I wish I could fu*k every girl in the world. She said, “I hate to see everyone talking about him like this, if only they knew how much he loves his daughter he would do nothing to harm or hurt her. He didn’t even know they where on stage until they had walked all the way to the front.”

He also spoke with Sheree and when he asked her about the upcoming season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, she said: “Baby there’s nothing but mess, and I wish they would keep me out of it.” You know how people love to see how “mess” plays out on reality television. This season should be interesting…

Here Jamie Foxx can be seen paying tribute to Michael Jackson (comedically, of course) as the host of the 2009 BET Awards, which aired live from Los Angeles Sunday night (Jun 28) on BET. Jamie Foxx is probably one of the few people who can make light of a sad situation and have everyone laughing and crying at the same time. The BET Awards was supposed to dedicate the entire show to Michael, per the press release sent out Friday, but failed to impress.

The show itself was pretty good, but they should have never mentioned dedicating the show to MIchael if they didn’t have the time to do it right. That said, we really hope they put together an entire special to honor the late King of Pop so they can at least try to save face. A lot of stories are circulating about the Internet saying that T.I. and his longtime girlfriend Tameka “Tiny” Cottle tied the knot before Tip reported to Forrest City prison to serve his 366-day prison sentence. The reports state that the couple got married in a secret ceremony last Friday (May 22) in Miami.

But Gossip On This is here to let you know that although T.I. and Tiny are no doubt in love, but him going to prison for a year-and-a-day did not prompt the two to quickly get married in a “secret ceremony” in Miami. A highly placed source close to the couple revealed the news to us yesterday and T.I.’s publicist Sydney Margetson also told Sister 2 Sister that the news is “absolutely not true.”

So there you have it. They’re not married … yet! Shame on you Essence!

Rappers Nas and Young Jeezy showed off their A-list celebrity status by posing for a few photos courtside Wednesday night as they watched the Hawks take on the Miami Heat in Playoff Game 2 in Atlanta.
