T.I. and Tiny paid a visit to 106th & Park yesterday evening, and during their stop, Hip-Hop’s favorite couple reflected on the life of Don Cornelius and the impact he had on African Americans.

“For me, it was about him creating a platform for us to be able to see ourselves. Every Saturday morning after cartoons went off, I was waiting and hoping Run-DMC or somebody was on there. If not for him, we wouldn’t have had that. And not just my generation, but generations before me.” Tip said.

Tiny recalled her first time ever being on the show was with her group Xscape.

“When I first started out, we were on ‘Soul Train’ and it was a great experience. It was the first time I realized that they lip-sync, so it was something different, but I loved it. He paved the way for a lot of us to make it and be seen.”

The couple also discussed rumors regarding them having another child.

“Ya’ll know I can’t give it away.” Tiny told Rocsi….with T.I. chiming in, ”The television channel said yal are gonna have to watch the TV Show”

50 Cent may act like a loose cannon at times….but he knows which battles are worth fighting!!

In an interview with Vibe, the G-Unit head honcho revealed that he has avoided any possible beef with T.I. after firing shots at the southern rapper via Twitter.

According to Fif, he recently had a conversation with “The King” through a mutual friend over the phone and the two were able to reach a happy medium.

Rapper T.I. and his wife Tiny, with the help of T.I.’s clothing label Akoo, hosted a premiere screening for their upcoming VH1 reality show at the Yotel Hotel in New York City last Thursday evening (Dec 1).

Rapper/producer Swizz Beatz also stopped by the event and posed for a few photos with the Hip-Hop couple. “Swizz is my brother. I support him; he supports me. He’s part of the family. Love,” T.I. told XXLmag.com when they asked him to share his thoughts on those who came out to support him at the screening.

“Thank everybody once again for showing up and for continuing to support us as a family, both personally and professionally. We hope you guys enjoy it as much as we enjoyed presenting it to you,” T.I. said before the screening.

“T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle” officially debuts on VH1 tomorrow night (Mon. Dec 5) at 9pm ET.

Who knew rap veteran Q-Tip played a role in T.I. not originally going by the rap name “Tip?”

Last night, The King stopped by “Jimmy Fallon” to promote his new VH1 reality show “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle” and got into details about having to drop the “P” from his name and having discussions with his kids about “booty tag.”

50 Cent is still being a drama queen during his free time….

After viewing T.I.‘s recent comments in VIBE magazine regarding people who said Tiny should have taken the charge in his drug case (Fif being among those),  the G-Unit head honcho decided to fire shots via Twitter.

He posted the following:

T.I.”s statement in VIBE about Fif and others saying Tiny should have taken the charge:

“I’ma tell you, 50 Cent and anybody else, we not gonn’a have no discussion about what my ole lady should’a, would’a, couda done for anything as it pertains to me.  We ain’t gonn’a do that. I’m the only one in my family that’s gonna take a lick when it pertains to the legal system. Since me, none of my other family members have seen a jail cell. Nobody. I’m the last one. The buck stops here. I feel that a person that stands behind [his woman for a criminal charge] is a coward anyway.”

Regardless of who’s wrong or right in this situation….50 needs to just grow a pair of balls and stop getting so offended by what others say, especially when he goes around saying whatever pops up in that mind of his.

When you speak recklessly on a regular….expect others to have something to say back in return. GEEZ!!!

T.I. is featured on the cover of the December 2011 issue of VIBE Magazine, where the Kang makes one hell of a controversial statement that has gotten the gay community all riled up:

“Man, I will say this, the funniest joke I ever heard Tracy say during a stand-up was, ‘C’mon man, I think gay people are too sensitive. If you can take a d**k, you can take a joke.’ [Cracks up laughing.] That sh*t was funny to me. And it’s kind of true.’”

While T.I. makes clear that he supports anyone’s sexual preference, he then connects, in his opinion, a current oversensitivity among gay people with a consequential and ironic offense of the First Amendment. “They’re like,‘If you have an opinion against us, we’re gonna shut you down.’ … That’s not American. If you’re gay you should have the right to be gay in peace, and if you’re against it you should have the right to be against it in peace.’”

In addition to that, the rapper also talks about being skeptical about Osama Bin Laden’s death and even gets a little defensive when questioned about why his wife Tiny didn’t take the drug charge that sent him to prison for another year

The conversation shifts from Muammar Gaddafi’s death—which occurred five days prior—to Osama Bin Laden’s assassination to both Eastern giant’s once empowered relationship with the U.S. government. “It’s like everybody that the U.S. was besties with, years later they’re the worst person in the world,” says Tip. “My question is what character traits do they possess now that they didn’t possess when y’all were besties? What made it go astray, and who’s to say they were on the dishonest end of that?”

The politic’n doesn’t stop there. Before an article can be selected from the “Osama Bin Laden killed” search, T.I. twists his lips in sarcastic fashion and shoots, “If that really happened.”

VIBE: So you’re skeptical about the legitimacy of Osama’s death?
T.I.: Man, I’m a conspiracy theorist by nature. You can’t experience the federal penal system and not be somewhat skeptical.

T.I. on people criticizing his wife Tiny for not taking the drug charge:

Atlanta’s music royalty packed into the city’s historic Cascade Skating Rink and donated their time and money Wednesday night to help the homeless and less fortunate at DeVyne Stephens’ Roll Over Hunger Celebrity Charity and Skate Jam Wednesday night.

The guest list for the charity event included Ludacris, T.I., Young Jeezy, Big Boi, Toya, Polow Da Don, Ciara (who showed up in a wheelchair and wearing braces on both legs) and many others.

Through this star-studded event, DeVyne Stephens and his DeVyne Intervention foundation were able to raise thousands of dollars to help feed Atlanta’s homeless.

All of the proceeds went straight to he Hosea Feed the Hungry Foundation Holiday Dinner Program, which provides four major meal service events for Atlanta’s homeless, serving over 200,000 hot meals every year.

No word just yet on why Ciara rolled up to the event (literally) in a wheelchair, though it looks like she (and everyone else) had a ball!

Lil Wayne and Toya threw their daughter Reginae a huge Cinderella-themed party to celebrate her 13th birthday over the weekend.

The lavish affair was hosted at the private Callenwolde Mansion in Atlanta Saturday night, and all of Reginae’s close friends and extended family all came out to help her celebrate her big day.

In addition to her famous parents and her step-dad Memphitz, the celebrity guest list for Reginae’s birthday party included Birdman, T.I. and Tiny, and Phaedra Parks and Kim Zolciak from the “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

As promised, The King released his banging hot new single “Pyro” yesterday!

The track comes from the T.I.‘s upcoming album “Trouble Man,” due in stores sometime early next year.

T.I. is taking us back to his roots on his upcoming eighth studio album.

Inspired by Marvin Gaye’s 1972 soundtrack, the King has titled the album “Trouble Man.”

In the next few days (possibly even today)…..he will be releasing his new single “Pyro,” which is supposedly a stand-out track on the project.

“I have this one record [called] ‘Pyro’ that I’m proud of. Pyro’ is a straight party record. It’s nostalgic of those crazy nights, early mornings [but] just turned up,” he tells Billboard.

As for “Trouble Man”, T.I. admits it will be more focused on things he’s experienced in the past rather than the present.

“A lot of times I’m taking myself out of my element,” Tip explained. “This is the first project where I’m talking about things that I’ve experienced before that I’m not necessarily experiencing now ’cause I’m not doing a whole lot of partying. I do a little bit but not a lot, nothing like when I was in that life.”

Hip-Hop couple T.I. and Tiny pose in a family shot with their young ones in this newly released promo shot for their new VH1 reality show “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.”

The show, set to premiere on December 5th at 9 pm, will reportedly give viewers a rare look at Tip, following his recent prison release, as he’s readjusting to life as an entertainer, a businessman, a husband and father of six to King, Domani, Zonnique, Messiah, Deyjah and Major).

“Tameka and I have a strong, loving family,” said T.I. “In this family documentary, you will see the challenges of raising children while balancing a career. It’s like a lot of families, only our home is in the spotlight.”

According to the press release:

• Fans will get to know T.I.’s children and see their reactions as they realize their father is a member of Hip Hop royalty.
• T.I. teaches his eldest son, Domani, the secrets to putting on a great concert performance .
• Tiny reveals how she kept the family together while T.I. was away.
• We meet the OMG GIRLZ, a new up-and-coming pop group that Tiny manages.

T.I. cruises through his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia in a candy red Chevrolet Chevelle in the video for his street single “I’m Flexin.”

The rapper is joined by the song’s producer and featured guest Big K.R.I.T. in the clip, directed by Motion Family.

Ever since Tip was released form prison at the end of September, the King of the South has jumped on a number of Hip-Hop’s biggest hits of the moment, including most recently Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “N**gas In Paris,” in an effort to whet the appetites of his many adoring fans as he prepares his next album.

T.I. is also currently promoting his first foray into the book world, a fiction novel titled “Power & Beauty.”

After making an appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show yesterday, T.I. — currently on a book tour for his new novel “Power & Beauty” (in stores now) — paid a visit to “The View” to chat it up with the ladies about staying clean and sober, shielding his kids from his past, the importance of family, how he wrote his new book while he was in prison.

Tip acknowledged responsibility for his actions which led him to prison twice in the past two years. Speaking on his new-found clarity, he told the ladies of The View, “I’ve accepted in order to have a different result, you have to take a different approach, which is staying clean and sober.”

“I understand why people are so critical of me,” he added. “Nobody is tougher on me than I am on myself.”

The ladies seemed critical of T.I.’s past arrests and wondered if he could break his drug habit, to which he responded, “I broke the habit … I think it was more recreational than anything else, and it’s just a discipline factor.”

T.I., now embraces his sobriety, puts his family at the top of his list of priorities.

“My family, my wife, my mother, everybody are the most important [thing in my life],” he says. “Together we all endured these pitfalls, these challenges in life and we move forward stronger as a family together.”

After their serious interview, T.I. had a little fun and shot some hoops with Sherri and Elisabeth. “I don’t play ball,” he warned the ladies beforehand.

Following a grand entrance in the middle of Young Jeezy‘s performance, T.I. got the crowd amped up as he performed his new Big K.R.I.T. produced single “I’m Flexin” at the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards.

This particular performance served as Tip’s first televised performance since being released from prison last month.

Ironically, T.I. was arrested just fours hours before the 2007 BET Hip-Hop Awards outside a Walgreen’s parking lot after federal agents discovered he was purchasing an arsenal of unregistered machine guns and silencers.

The rapper recently joked that he had a “Love-Hate” relationship with the show because of that particular incident. But now, T.I. is finally out of prison and back to doing what he does best: putting on a damn good show.

Young Jeezy lit the stage on fire (literally!) as he opened up the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards with fellow ATLien T.I., who just days before was released from an Atlanta halfway house.

The BET HHAs were held October 1st in Atlanta at the Civic Center, and the show finally aired on BET last night (Oct 11).

Jeezy kicked off the festivities with his latest single “F.A.M.E. (Fake A** Mothaf**kas Envy)“ and was joined by T.I., who rapped his verse on the track, and later segued into his own solo performance of his new come-back song “I’m Flexin.”

In honor of his new-found freedom, T.I. hosted a private brunch in his hometown of Atlanta Sunday afternoon (Oct 2).

The rapper teamed up with his AKOO clothing line and his Grand Hustle Entertainment record label for the First Annual A King of Oneself Brunch, which was also attended by his wife Tiny, Tiny’s BFF Toya, rappers Nelly and Young Jeezy, Toya, manager to the stars Kevin Liles, producer Jazze Pha, Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed and more.

According to sources at the party, there was an open bar stocked full of Ciroc (courtesy of Diddy) and reps from AKOO measured VIP guests for custom-made clothing gifts. The whole party cost around $100K, with $20K just on food and an additional $8K on dessert.

Taylor Swift is a true fan of Hip Hop!

The Country-Pop singer brought newly freed rapper T.I. on stage to perform “Live Your Life” last night at Philips Arena in Atlanta.

T.I. had to scold Diddy after the Hip-Hop mogul, who Forbes say is on the way to be becoming rap’s first billionaire, got really violent with a fan for choosing to drink Grey Goose over Ciroc (the drink Diddy sponsors) at a BET Hip-Hop Awards after-party at Compound nightclub in Atlanta over the weekend!

In the video footage that is floating around the web, you can hear Diddy shouting obscenities at the man, like “Bitch ass n**gas, put that sh*t down, before I come smack that purple shirt off your ass!” before grabbing what appears to be a non-Ciroc alcohol beverage, and throwing it at the man, continuing with his alcohol-fueled rant.

“What the f**k are you gonna do, b*tch? F**king f*ggot ass light skin n**gas get the f*ck out of my face!” the rapper shouted.

Minutes later, T.I., who was just sprung from prison earlier this month and released from an Atlanta halfway house last Thursday, grabbed a microphone and begged Diddy to chill out, telling his friend, “I ain’t with none of that f*ck shit. I’d get the f*ck on up out this b*tch and let y’all handle it. I’ve done enough time.”

He continued, “Puff you got too much mother f**kin money for that sh*t, n**ga. Let them ni**gas drink what the f**k they want to drink. I love you n**ga … you know I will go to war with you, but come on man … let’s go.”

Featuring Mississippi rapper Big K.R.I.T., “Flexin” serves as T.I.’s first record with him as a leading artist since being released from prison earlier this month. He just completed an 11-month bid for violating his probation, and now he’s already back to doing what he does best.

The King has finally been uncaged!

According to TMZ, the rapper made a quiet exit from a halfway house in Atlanta a little after midnight this morning.

T.I. was on probation for firearms charges when he was arrested last year in L.A. on drug charges, a direct violation of his probation. He was sentenced to 10 months in federal prison, and has spent the past month in an Atlanta halfway house.

TMZ reports that unlike T.I.’s August 31st release from federal prison, the Grand Hustle CEO left the halfway house very incognito and with no fanfare. There was no tour bus, no documentary producers and no entourage. T.I. simply got into a chauffeur-driven SUV and left the building.

Reps for the rapper say that he’s planning on celebrating his recent birthday (September 25th) and hosting a private brunch for family and friends in Atlanta this coming Sunday.

T.I. is also scheduled to perform at the BET Hip-hop Awards on Saturday, October 1st, also in Atlanta.
