T.I. is proving that no one on the corner got swagger like him with a launch of his new clothing line titled Akoo. Since Beyonce decided to call herself “Sasha Fierce,” the internet has been buzzing and downright clowning the singer for doing such a thing. But why can’t she? Everybody else is doing it! Take Lil’ Wayne for example. How many names does he have? You got Dwayne, Wayne, Lil Wayne, Weezy, Wizzle, Wizzard, and however else you can mix-up the phonetics of his name. And what about Diddy, huh? Sean John, Sean John Combs, Sean Combs, Sean “Puffy” Combs, Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Diddy, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Diddy Combs, Dumb Dump Diddy. And that just covers the FIRST decade of his career. Who knows how many there’ll be when he hits the golden ages. Kanye has Ye and Yeezy, Ludacris goes by “Chris” and Luda sometimes, and T.I. calls his alter-ego T.I.P. So we ask again, why not Beyonce?

ATLANTA // WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29TH 2008 » T.I. was spotted voting yesterday in Atlanta. If you are looking at this picture like I was and wondering how was T.I. able to vote after committing a felony, here is a little info for you courtesy of MTV.

How was T.I. able to vote? Well, the Georgia Secretary of State’s office, in consultation with their own lawyers “reviewed the law and found that Mr. Harris is eligible to in Georgia because the state constitution says that to be able to vote, you have to have served your entire sentence, which includes all probation and fines and any other stipulations,” said Matt Carrothers, the Secretary of State’s director of media relations.

Because T.I. is not slated to go to prison until next year on felony gun charges and is not currently incarcerated — though he is under house arrest — and is not on probation, all he had to do was contact the county he votes in and get re-registered in order to cast a ballot.
