Posts about The Game

Whoa! Peep the NSFW video above to check out an explosive diss by my new favorite rapper, The Game! Anybody who is against 50 Cent and Gay-Unit is cool in my book. Period.

This is basically a response to what went down with Young Buck and G-Unit, and the recorded phone conversations and what-not. Put on some headphones if you’re at the office. You’ve been warned!

I can’t wait to see what unfolds next…

Apparently this is the official album cover for The Game’s upcoming album “LAX” which is scheduled to drop July 22nd. The cover features Game with his two sons, Harlem and King. I’m feeling the pic of him and his sons, but I wish The Game would have did something that complimented the title of the album. Are ya’ll feeling this cover?

Shout-out to The Rap-Up for the pic!

I just confirmed a short phoner with rapper The Game for this Friday, May 23rd 2008! If you would like to submit any questions, please do so by leaving a comment in this post before Friday. I can’t promise that I will be able to use all of them, but as usual, I will try my best to slide them in. And you already know that I only consider legitimate questions.

And for those that are wondering and have been hitting me up via e-mail, the Mario interview will be posted early next week!

Here’s the video for Pain, The Game’s new single featuring R&B songstress Keyshia Cole. Word on the sidewalk is that home boy is trying to recruit the dude that knocked Suge Knight senseless to his record label.

“He’s the Knockout Kid. We was looking for him, we found him, and trying to sign him. (Suge’s) not a boxer. It’s not like he’s Muhammad Ali, and he’s been in the game and somebody finally beats you. Suge, back in the day, he had it locked in Los Angeles. But now, your time comes and goes, and you have to respect the new breed, and now that’s me.

I got L.A. locked, and 10 years from now there will be a new dude. Ten years from now, when I’m 40, there’s gonna be a new kid and I gotta respect that dude. Hopefully, the Knockout Kid’s little brother don’t hit me or something … or step to me. I don’t want no problems with the Knockout Kid.”

Jayceon “The Game” Taylor covers the July 2008 issue of The Source Magazine. The Game has recently reached out to former G Unit member Young Buck to show his support.

In an interview last Friday, Buck said:

“To the homie Game. I’m aware of you reaching out. I haven’t gotten on no phone conversations and actually spoke to Game, but he’s reached out to a few people that’s around me just to show his support like, ‘Yo Buck, f**k whatever’s going on, I just wanna see your well being, as long as you aight.’ (He said) that type of thing.

‘That’s love and I ain’t even got that call from (remaining G-Unit members, Lloyd) Banks and (Tony) Yayo, and we ain’t got no issues with each other. The issue was from 50.”

Glad to see they could squash whatever “beef” they had going on.

Here West-coast rapper The Game, as well as R&B singer Keyshia Cole, can be heard on his new single Pain from his forthcoming album L.A.X. (Los Angeles Times) in all markets June 24th, 2008! I like the song, it’s like a little homage to all the people that paved the way for them, even Keyshia shouts out Mary J. Blige at the end, even though people say she “bites” off of her which is lame! However came up with that word needs to get shot immediately.

West coast rappers Ice Cube and The Game are featured on the cover (2 separate covers) of the June 2008 issue of XXL Magazine. Kudos to XXL for not recycling the same ol’ shit over and over again every month! It’s nice seeing some new faces every now and then.

The Game Released Early from Prison

I guess white girls aren’t the only celebrities who get sprung from prison early. For the past week, there have been reports going back and forth stating that rapper The Game had been released, and shortly after that, the reports changed to him being transferred over to another facility, and then back to him being reelased. Well now the official word from the rapper is that he’s free and back at home.

After serving eight days of jail time, rapper The Game walked out of Los Angeles’ Twin Tower Correctional Facility a free man on March 9. And after conflicting reports as to whether he was indeed free, the Game has officially released a statement confirming that he’s back home.

“I apologize for the conflicting news on my release,” says The Game. “But due to the sensitive negotiations on this matter, I felt it appropriate not to give an exact date on my release. I am truly grateful to my attorney, family and management for doing a great job in this respect. Upon my release I went directly to the studio with producers Cool & Dre and recorded several records including my street record ‘Big Dreams.’ Thank you to all my fans as well for the support.” [ VIA BILLBOARD ]

Rapper The Game turned himself in last night (March 2nd 2008) to begin serving a 60-day weapons possession prison sentence. 28-year-old Jayceon Taylor was sentenced to a 2-month prison sentence last month after he pleaded no contest to a felony charge of possession of a firearm in a school zone.

Dozens of friends and supporters showed up with the rapper rocking “Free the Game” t-shirts as he turned himself in, accompanied by his lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley. Game will reportedly be held in a separate area from the general population. In addition to serving the 60 days, The Game was sentenced to 150 hours of community service and three years probation.

It is rumored that the rapper probably won’t even serve his full term, but once he is released, he is expected to continue work on his upcoming album, titled LAX., which will reportedly be his final album before “going into retirement.” The album features production from Dr. Dre, Cool & Dre, Scott Storch and others.

RIHANNA IN POST-GRAMMY CAR ACCIDENT » Singer Rihanna, who claimed an award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards, was reported to have been involved in a minor car accident after partying at a Def Jam-sponsored afterparty. This is the same party where she and Chris Brown have been rumored to be getting “cozy” with each other. Early reports suggested that shortly after leaving the party, the singer, popular for her smash hit “Umbrella,” was in her car when it was hit from behind by another car. According to a Def Jam spokesperson, fortunately, no one was hurt.
