T.I. and his 16-year-old daughter Zonnique Pullins (one-third of the “OMG Girlz”) sat courtside at the Philips Arena in Atlanta last Tuesday night (May 1) as the home team — the Hawks — took on the Boston Celtics during Game Two of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals of the 2012 NBA Playoffs.

R&B singer/songwriter/producer The Dream was also in attendance at the basketball game, which resulted in the Celtics defeating the Hawks, 87-80.

R&B singer/songwriter The Dream recently performed in concert at New York nightclub S.O.B.’s Sunday night (Mar 11), and during his set, he made a couple of comments in an apparent diss to male R&B singers “that sound like me,” as he put it.

“I haven’t done a show in close to two years. And ever since then, there’s like, four n*ggas that sound like me now. I’m just being honest.”

After R&B newcomer The Weeknd caught wind of the hit-maker’s comments basically directed towards him and a few other up and coming male singers, he lashed out at The Dream via his Twitter page.

In a series of tweets, The Weeknd pulled no punches as he expressed to The Dream how he felt about him:

Hamburglar lookin’ ass n*gga…

All i need are my brothers and my fans… f*ck the bullsh*t.

This n*gga is so hood, he thinks my name is the weekender…

I was raised old fashioned, you get at me, I get at you… ain’t no sideways sh*t about it…

After a second show in New York, The Dream responded with his own Twitter rant that was much longer and a lot more detailed. In it, he explains that he meant no harm with his statement, and he’s got “nothing but love” for The Weeknd:

Like my father said. Say ur piece son if a man feel uncomfortable enough a cheat, and a liar will identify his self. Amen. Now I know 4 Sure. I said I was Honest not petty. Joke all you want. Grown Man.

Love killed Hate. I’m going to support the movement where if u can’t say it in person don’t say it. Nothing but love from here lil homie. Don’t get fooled or tricked and try to come up on a n*gga like me, won’t work just do you if u truly are then what we talkin bout.

He continued some hours later:

R&B singer/songwriter The Dream dropped by Power 105′s “The Breakfast Club,” where he was grilled on a number of topics, including writing hit songs for Beyonce, Rihanna, Justin Bieber and others; working with Kim Kardashian; his former marriage to Christina Milian and how he got caught cheating, and lots more.

Of course Charlemagne The God held nothing back, and threw several shots towards The Dream, who brushed them off and fired back with a few jokes of his own.

The Dream takes it back to the 90′s in his music video for “Roc,” the first single from the R&B singer/songwriter’s upcoming fourth LP “The Love IV: Diary of a Madman.”

“It was really natural,” The-Dream told Billboard.com about the Miami video shoot. “I just wanted to have fun and go back to those 90s videos where it’s always like you got the camera for the first time. Like, ‘Oh shit! Let’s just shoot this shit! Let’s see what happens!’”

He continued, “We had a house down there for one part of it, and another part, it was this theatre that has all these old games, like the ones that you would probably know from childhood. We were walking in there just to go to a movie, and I was like, ‘Hold up… oh shit! This is old school! This is like Six Flags!’”

Chris Brown and Rihanna did a lot more than just raise a few eyebrows this week when they released two songs together: the remixes to Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake” and Chris’ “Turn Up the Music.”

Many have questioned Rihanna and Chris’ decision to reunite on wax just three years after “the incident,” but songwriter The Dream, who wrote and produced “Birthday Cake,” says you shouldn’t judge the collaboration against what went down between them in 2009.

“For me, it’s just music — two talented people doing a record together, doing two records together, and that’s what it was,” The-Dream (real name: Terius Nash) told Billboard.com in a recent interview. “It wasn’t about an incident that happened. The true thing really is to forgive, and… you want to believe in people.”

He continued, “It was Rih’s idea. Not only do we work together, but [Rihanna] is a friend of mine. And it’s like, ‘You wanna do something? Then cool, let’s do it.’ I don’t know how she got the logistics and how it happened — maybe she’ll talk about it one day. I showed up at the studio, and it was like, ‘All right, cool, let’s finish this record,’ which we probably should have finished the first time we did it.”

The Dream also discussed the whole process of adding Chris Brown to “Birthday Cake” with MTV‘s Sway Calloway this week, recalling the first time Rihanna told him what she wanted to do with th song.

“I think I’m gonna put Chris on it,” The Dream said he remembers Rihanna saying nonchalantly to him over the phone. “I don’t know which Chris you talkin’ about, [but] OK, cool, whatever you say,” he remembers responding.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

“The Roc” serves as the lead single from The Dream‘s upcoming fourth studio album “The Love IV: Diary of a Madman,” due in stores sometime this year.

The Dream has obviously made some serious dough after writing hit singles for big name acts like Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Justin Bieber and others.

But none of the checks he’s received from his skills as a songwriter compare to the $15 million the famed producer/hit-maker banked following the success of Rihanna‘s hit single “Umbrella,” which he co-wrote with Jay-Z and Tricky Stewart.

The Dream, who also professionally goes by his government name Terius Nash, made the big money revelation while talking to UK radio personality Tim Westwood just before the Holidays.

“That record is probably somewhere around $15 mill,” he said in the interview, where he also confessed that he ‘gave’ his former wife Christina Milian writing credit on Justin Bieber’s “Baby,” you know … just to be “generous.”

He went on to joke: “I’m just trying to pay the bills, man. I got child support bills, I got old wives’ bills, I got new wives’ bills. I’m working on my third wife, so I gotta pay those bills.”

Speaking about the night he wrote Bieber’s mega hit ‘Baby’, The-Dream explained: “I was in my building at Def Jam and my friend Chris Higgs who was A&R-ing the project at the time said he wanted me to write a song for Justin Bieber.

“I said, ‘OK. You pay for my hotel room and I’ll write you a record’. He was like, ‘No, we’re not paying for your hotel room’. So I was like, ‘OK, I’m not going to write you a record’.”

He added: “So I guess everybody thought about it for a while and then they were like, ‘OK, we’ll pay for your room’. My hotel room is usually $3,200 per night, but my percentage for hit-and-miss is pretty high, so I was like, ‘Just pay for it’.

“I went to the studio that night and made the beat and the melodies. I let Christina Milian try the first verse melody and basically finished the track.”

Asked if Milian tried to claim a credit for the song, the producer replied: “She didn’t have to claim anything. I gave her a percentage of it.”

Questioned on whether she got the credit because she wrote the melody, The-Dream quipped: “No, that was just because I’m generous.”

Hot on the heels of the announcement that he will be releasing a free album at the end of this month, R&B singer/songwriter The Dream has put out a video — more like a silent trailer with a backing track — for his new song “Murderer.”

The track is slated to appear on both The Dream’s free project “1977″ (released under his birth name Terius Nash) and the upcoming movie Columbiana, starring actress Zoe Saldana, who stars in the clip.

The Dream has announced his plans to release a free 10-Track LP under his legal name Terius Nash in the next few weeks to hold fans over until his next album “The Love, IV: Diary of a Madman“ drops later this year.

The R&B crooner broke the news late last night via his Twitter account.

The-Dream isn’t retiring after all…..

At the Los Angeles premiere of Justin Bieber’s “Never Say Never” documentary Tuesday night, the R&B singer/songwriter announced that he will be releasing an album at the end of the summer.

“Everybody’s calling for an album now, so I should have one out by August,” the singer said o the red carpet of the premiere.

But for right now…the Dream says he’s working on some tracks for JB’s next album.

“We’ve actually been working on the next record, so I’ve been writing, just to get ready,” he added.

We knew that whole I’m quitting music thing was for attention anyways. He just better come harder than Love King this time around!

The Dream and Christina Millian are back at each others throats again.  However this time Pop sensation Justin Bieber is involved!

According to TMZ, The Dream previously filed docs in Georgia agreeing to pay Milian 10% of his publishing interest in the Bieb’s hit single “Baby”, which he co-wrote. Well now, The Dream pissed because Christina is trying to renegotiate the settlement by demanding more support, including a greater percentage of the Bieber gold mine.

Since she has tried to renegotiate, The Dream is trying to pull the plug on any payments to her Christina is fighting back. Her lawyer tells TMZ:

“Mr. Nash filed for divorce. He wanted the divorce, not our client. She then agreed to resolve it peacefully and outside of the court. Now his lawyer is writing me saying there’s no agreement when we 100% made an agreement on the record.”

This is starting to sound like Nas and Kelis all over again. SMH!!!

Amid reports that Kim Kardashian is working with The Dream on an upcoming music project, the (single) celebrity socialite and the (soon-to-be divorced) producer/singer were spotted last night at a basketball game!

Kim and The Dream kicked it courtside at Madison Square Garden Sunday night (Nov 14) in New York City as the Houston Rockets took on the New York Knicks. The pair snacked on nachos and pizza as they watched the game, which ended in a victory for the Rockets.

The Dream has been exposed!

Singer Christina Milian is pissed off by the divorce papers filed by her hubby The Dream a.k.a. Terius Nash nine days before she gave birth to their only child……and wants the judge to know that he is a big fat liar! In her legal response filed last week according to TMZ, Milian is claiming that their marriage was not broken when The Dream filed the docs and even goes on to say that he cheated on her during their relationship.

But this isn’t even the worst part….

Christina also admits in the documents that she signed a settlement agreement with in which both parties waved any alimony or ownership right’s to the other person’s property. However she is claiming the only reason she signed the docs was because The Dream brought them to her bedside when she was 9 months pregnant and was in no state of mind to sign such papers.

Now that’s just downright dirty!! The things people do these days, SMH…

R&B singer/songwriter The Dream wants everyone to know that he’s not perfect.

In an open letter posted on his website, the “Makeup Bag” singer apologized for misleading everyone into thinking that his marriage with singer Christina Milian was fine when in reality it was far from that. The guy also goes to say that at one point he even attempted to commit suicide over the matter. (Wow… that’s a bit much!)

First I want to thank God for the trials of life, without them we can’t know purpose!

I would love to tell the truth as to why my relationship wasn’t successful, but today that is between me and Christina. Its easy to say that it’s because of another woman or a new relationship but truthfully, IT’S NOT.

I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for misleading everyone into thinking everything was fine and okay when we knew problems existed for awhile! I wanted to speak up but we decided it wasn’t for anyone to know. I would NEVER intentionally hurt a soul and everyone around me knows that! There was so much going on in me and Christina’s personal world that I tried to deal with it as delicately as I could and tried to regain my footing. Instead of being direct in order not to cause even more hurt or hurt someone’s feelings, I carried the weight in secret!

I am Human and people fall in and out of Love all the time… This is Life. Nothing’s promised or perfect, neither am I. I am not proud that I lost something we once had…LOVE! I’ve always been a Loving Father, Hard Worker, Generous, Stern and Eager to prove myself. My faults are I can be irresponsible and an ass sometimes, but I HAVE NEVER and WILL NEVER be a malicious person or wish harm to anyone, especially those I love or the mother of my child. I’m sorry for the embarrassment to everyone involved! If there’s anyone to blame and you can’t fathom this happening, please blame me and me alone for not being upfront! Even though we were trying to overcome personal things between us, I was just simply scared and embarrassed to let everyone know we WERE FAILING and HAVE NOW FAILED!

This is not to justify anything, it’s true emotion! It’s a real thing that involves real people! I’ve cried about this for months, after interviews, after prayer and I’ve tried to take my own life at a point because of the failure that was looming.

But I was reminded by my MOTHER that I am not “Superman” and its okay to lose sometimes…

This too shall pass! And everything will be fine!

R&B singer Christina Milian and her producer/songwriter/singer husband The Dream have officially split up as noted by a rep for The Dream who confirmed the news to UsMagazine.com earlier today.

“Terius ‘The-Dream’ Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful. The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet. They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward,” The Dream’s rep told UsMagazine.com.

Official word of the split came shortly after questionable photos of The Dream (real name: Terius Nash) and his assistant Melissa Santiago frolicking on the beach in the Caribbean hit the Internet. A few hours after the pics made their way to the web (and before the split was officially announced), Christina Milian took to her Twitter and said:

After being spotted out and about together in early 2009 around the time The Dream started working with Christina on a new album project that never saw the light of day, the couple initially denied that they were dating. But only a few months later in July, Nash, 32, and Milian, 28, were engaged and were married by September of the same year.

Milian gave birth to their daughter Violet back in February of this year.

We don’t know exactly behind their break up but based on the current circumstances, this divorce battle should be pretty interesting to watch. So many questions, so few answers.

Songwriters were honored Friday night (Jun 25) during the 23rd Annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards, which was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. R&B singer Ne-Yo, along with the songwriting/production team Christopher “Tricky” Stewart and Terius “The Dream” Nash, were presented with the night’s top honor: “Songwriter of the Year,” while rapper Dr. Dre was honored with the “Founders Award,” which was presented to him by his good friend Eminem.

Other celebrities and honorees at Friday night’s ASCAP awards were Jermaine Dupri, his artist Dondria, singer Janelle Monae, rapper Gucci Mane (who performed during the show) and more. Even Ron Artest from the Los Angeles Lakers made a random appearance at the 2010 ASCAP awards.

First, it was his unnecessary remake of Aaliyah‘s classic “One in a Million” that received a lot of criticism and negative feedback from everyone. Then it was the accusations made by two Bay area producers who say he and singer Mariah Carey stole their hit song. And now, The Dream himself is speaking out, and according to the “Love King” singer in a recent interview with Ms Drama TV, he will not be putting out anymore albums past his latest release.

R&B producer/singer/songwriter The Dream hosted an exclusive private listening session in Atlanta Monday night (May 24) at Outkast’s Stankonia Studios. The Executive VP of Island Records (and new father) wanted to give the top DJ’s and industry heads in the area a glimpse into his upcoming 3rd studio album Love King, due to drop June 29th.

Lots of reports are going around about security being extra tight (and hella unfriendly) to folks who were invited to the session. And word is The Dream didn’t seem to mind (or care). Here’s what ATLien from Straight from the A had to say about her experience at the event:

Last night, I attended a private listening session for Terius “The-Dream” Nash upcoming “Love King” project at Outkast’s Stankonia Studios. The evening started out status quo, but eventually turned bizarre as hell after the singer/songwriter/Executive VP of Island Records arrived to the session with 5 burley security guards in tow. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m all for personal protection WHEN it’s necessary, but at a label hosted event held at a private studio full of Atlanta area industry peeps, it seemed a bit much!

Mr. Nash posted up in the corner as his 5 (yes FIVE) bodyguards assumed the protective position in front of him. As they guarded an invisible line, interaction was impossible and The Dream didn’t seem to mind, as he bobbed his head (alone) in the corner. During most listening sessions, the artist normally announces each song and explains to the listeners it’s concept. Not this time. As each song played, there was no discussion about it’s meaning or it’s inspiration, and because of the “invisible line” guarded by The-Dream’s FIVE bodyguards, attendees were immediately turned off by it all and unfortunately the music took a backseat to security.

I, personally, had a great time rubbing elbows with my peers, but was disappointed by The-Dream’s lack of interest in anyone or anything. In a room full of industry execs, DJ’s, media, bloggers… who were all personally invited to attend, the lack of interaction was a complete turn off.

Mariah Carey and The Dream are being accused of theft!

A lawsuit was recently filed against the singers and record label Island Def Jam for copyright infringement over the single “My Love,” a duet from The-Dream’s last album Love vs. Money. According to Bay Area producers Preston Marshall and Demario Driver, The Dream and Mariah’s song sounds a lot like their song “Are You the One.”

“I sent the song to (Huffman) via email. I never heard back from him. (After hearing the song on The-Dream’s album) I was hurt because you put a lot of time and effort into this. You know, music is my life. I feed my family this way.”

The gentlemen are now seeking $450,000 in damages for copyright infringement, international interference with economic advancement and fraud. Neither Mariah, The-Dream nor Island Def Jam have spoken on these accusations yet.

The Dream‘s brand new music video for his latest single “Love King” hit the web yesterday after premiering on BET’s 106 & Park. “Love King” comes from The Dream’s upcoming album, also titled Love King, due in stores May 18th.

Terius “The Dream” Nash previously stated multiple times that this would be his last project, however, last week the producer/songwriter turned performer sent out a tweet hinting at a new album possibly titled Love/Affair being in the works.

Spotted @ Hello Beautiful

Ciara and The Dream were spotted laughing it up court-side this past weekend (Sat. Apr 3) in their hometown of Atlanta at the ATL Hawks vs. Detroit Pistons basketball game. The Dream is putting in a lot of work on CiCi’s forthcoming studio album, due to be released sometime this year.

D/L: CIARA & THE DREAM – SPEECHLESS

Though this is Christina’s first, this makes child #4 for The Dream, who has 3 children from a previous marriage to another R&B/pop singer — Nivea, who recently gave birth to a baby by Lil Wayne. And we don’t even want to tell you what his track record is looking like these days… (LOL!)

But anyway… congratulations to Christina and The Dream!

Singer/producer The Dream spoke to MTV recently about he and his wife Christina Milian‘s new baby and revealed that they’re having a little girl, who will be here within the next few days, and they’re going to name her “Violet.”

“The baby will be here Sunday, no later than Sunday!” The-Dream (real name: Terius Nash) said excitedly. “The baby already has a car, I got a house just for the baby — Christina can’t get in the baby’s car. I’m giving all my attention that I usually give to Christina to the baby, all the flowers I usually give Christina, I’m giving them to the baby. “It’s a girl, Violet will be her first name,” he revealed. “I’m not telling you the middle name, you gon’ get me in trouble.”

Singer/songwriter/producer The Dream released the first single from his upcoming album Love King yesterday. As noted by the album’s lead single of the same name, The Dream wants people to know that he is the king of love. And we want him to know that he just might have another hit on his hands because this song is kinda hot!

Taking to his Twitter, Dream told his followers that he plans on releasing “singles and four videos before May 17th” so he has a lot of work ahead of him, with that and the new baby and all (it should be making its way in any day now).

Newlyweds Christina Milian and The Dream (and their un-born child) walked the red carpet of the 2009 BET Hip Hop Awards, held this past Saturday (Oct 10) in Atlanta. Other couples on the red carpet were Mike Epps and his wife Michelle, Toya Carter and her boyfriend James Hardy,  Fonzworth Bentley and his girlfriend Faune A. Chambers, and Lil Scrappy and his fiancee Diamond.

Not that we really needed it or anything, but Christina Milian confirmed to People that she is indeed carrying The Dream‘s bun in her oven. She told the popular newsmag at a party she was in hosting at Las Vegas’ Tabu Nightclub that she’s about halfway through her pregnancy (4 and a half months) which means the baby should make its arrival sometime in February 2010.

“My husband and I are expecting,” she told PEOPLE Friday night. “We’re about four and a half months along, about 19 weeks.” With a noticeable bump under her flowing dress, Milian said she knows the sex of the child but wants to keep it secret. “We’re really excited,” she said.

With her husband, singer-songwriter The Dream, absent at MGM Grand’s Tabù lounge, Milian sipped water and danced on her VIP table with a group of girlfriends.

Word on the rumormill is that Christina Milian is pregnant with her first child! She and The Dream got married a couple of weeks ago at one of those Las Vegas wedding chapels, and a source tells US Magazine that marriage was always going to happen … but the pregnancy wasn’t planned.

“The pregnancy was a surprise, but they were getting married regardless,” a source tells Us. Milian has already been talking about children. “Of course, I would love to have kids,” she told Us earlier this summer at the premiere of Bring It On: Fight to the Finish in NYC. “I think that’s some of the reasons why I do movies like this.”

Even The-Dream (real name: Terius Hagert Youngdell Nash) — who proposed to Milian with a six-carat sparkler from Ivanka Trump’s jewelry line — has been talking about a family. “I love kids, and [Christina] loves kids probably more than I do,” he told Us in July. “She’ll make that time [to have a baby]. In the next couple of years, there’ll be something around.”

The newlyweds had a private ceremony Sunday (Sep 13) at the Hilton Hotel in Rome, Italy following their shotgun wedding in Vegas. Only close friends and family were invited to the wedding in Italy though. And friends/family who couldn’t make the trip to Rome will be invited to the renewal of their vows this time next year when the expecting parents celebrate their first anniversary.

Christina Milian and The Dream officially tied the knot in a quick ceremony at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. The couple’s shotgun wedding went down at exactly 12:00 AM Friday morning (Sep 4).

But sources tell MTV that this was only the first of three ceremonies. The newlyweds are set to get married overseas in Rome soon and the two will later renew their vows in the U.S. on their first wedding anniversary in front of family and friends who couldn’t make the trip to Italy.

Christina and The Dream (real name: Terius Nash) have been dating since January 2009 and have been all over the blogs since.

Christina Milian and her fiance The Dream were spotted hand-in-hand as they made their rounds Friday (Aug 28) in New York City. The two soon-to-be newlyweds were also spotted inside of American Apparel shopping for some new extra smedium outfits to add to The Dream’s collection.

Meanwhile, Christina talked to MTV recently about her upcoming studio album, Elope, due to be released later this year or early next year.

“I’m excited. I’m, like, waiting forever, like, ‘When does the single come out?’ ” she jokingly told MTV News. “I don’t even know.” She was even unsure of the title of the album, which she worked on with her real-life love and fiancé, The Dream. “It’s called Elope right now. Who knows, knowing me — I’m changing constantly,” she offered. “But it’s called Elope. I did it with The-Dream and Tricky Stewart. I’m really excited. It’s [about] a young female growing into a woman, and it’s very honest. The album’s fun, so I’m looking forward to performing it.”

She explained that the projected album title does reflect events in her own life, just not in the way that you might think. “Actually, the name change came … I don’t know if I was engaged yet, but it really didn’t have anything to do with it — more so about taking a step as a woman and making decisions on my own and doing things without necessarily the permissions of others. And I think that’s really more about adulthood and coming into adulthood,” she explained. “I think that’s where we came up with that one.”
