Teen country music star Taylor Swift was met by a group of cheering fans and of course her biggest fans (the paparazzi) as she left her hotel in London Wednesday (Nov 18). Taylor signed a few autographs and let the paps snap a few pics of her as she made her way to her vehicle.
The young singer made history last week when she became the youngest winner to be given the “Entertainer of the Year” award at the 43rd Annual Country Music Association Awards in Nashville. She also pulled in an average of 17 million viewers throughout the ABC evening telecast. Other awards she took home were “Best Music Video,” “Best Album,” “Best Female Vocalist” and “Entertainer of the Year.”

Fresh off of her big SNL appearance, which gave them their best ratings of the season, all eyes were on Taylor Swift as she helped the CMA Awards to their biggest audience in over four years. The 43rd Annual Country Music Association Awards aired on ABC live from Nashville and it’s being reported that Swift alone pulled in an average of 17 milion viewers throughout the Wednesday evening (Nov 11) telecast.
The 19 year old country music sensation (who will celebrate her 20th birthday a month from today) also made history by becoming the youngest winner to be given the “Entertainer of the Year” award. She also took home 4 more awards: Best Music Video, Best Album, Best Female Vocalist & Entertainer of the Year.
It’s crazy what Kanye West snatching a mic out of your hand will do to your career LOL. More pics of Taylor at the CMA Awards when you continue reading…

Sorry about the big gap in updates today, we had some biz to handle … just like these celebrities we caught on the scene handling their business this past Tuesday! Rapper Wale visited Fuse Studios in New York City Tuesday (Nov 10) to appear on Fuse TV’s “Hip Hop Shop” to promote his new album Attention Deficit, which dropped that day. In a series of tweets following his debut album’s launch, the D.C. born emcee said that each song on his album tells a story:
“On the train, bumpin’ my album,” he wrote. “I feel like telling y’all facts about Attention Deficit. Why not? There’s a story behind every song. On ‘Mama Told Me,’ I had something stuck in my teeth. At the beginning you can hear me making this weird noise tryin’ to get it out.” (Warning: Once you know that fact, that’s the only think you can hear.)
A few minutes later, he added that producer Mark Ronson actually encouraged Wale to tone down the lyrics of “90210,” where he skewers Paris Hilton (among others). “I admit i was too mean on that,” he wrote. Finally, he said that the album’s best track almost fell by the wayside. “‘Contemplate’ almost didn’t make the album. Jay-Z was a writer on the song sampled and we couldn’t reach him until the last minute.”

Ever since Kanye West temporarily stole her shine at this years VMAs, it seems like Taylor Swift’s stock has shot up a bit. Hell, we’re not even going to lie. She’s generated some interest amongst us over here at Gossip On This too. Let’s be real now. Trust and believe if Mr. West hadn’t snatched that mic out of her hand a lot of people who are checking for her today wouldn’t even be given her a second thought right about now.
The young country music/pop star hosted NBC’s Saturday Night Live over the weekend and opened up the show with a pretty funny song she wrote called the “Monologue Song (La La La).” In the short melodic parody, Swift took some shots at her ex boyfriend Joe Jonas, “douchebags who cheat on her,” and her new friend (sarcasm, people) Kanye.
I like writing songs about douchebags who cheat me, but I’m not gonna say that, in my monologue / I like writing their names into songs so they’re ashamed to go in public, but I’m not gonna say that, in my monologue
You might think I’d bring up Joe, that guy who broke up with me on the phone, but I’m not gonna mention him, in my monologue / Hey Joe, I’m doing real well! Tonight I’m hosting SNL, but I’m not gonna brag about that, in my monologue
You might be expecting me to say something bad about Kanye, and how he ran up on the stage and ruined my VMA monologue… / But there’s nothing more to say ’cause everything’s okay, I’ve got security lining the stage, it’s my SNL monologue
Taylor got jokes! LOL… Continue reading to peep the video!

Famous designer Tommy Hilfiger, his wife Dee Ocleppo and actress Rosario Dawson posed for a group picture on the red carpet at the Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2010 Men’s & Women’s Collection fashion show at Bryant Park in New York City Thursday (Sep 17). The event was held during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2009, also known as “New York Fashion Week” or NYFW for short.
Other celebrities at the event were hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, country music/pop singer Taylor Swift and fashion model Chanel Iman.

By now the whole world knows that Kanye West rudely interrupted Taylor Swift’s VMA acceptance speech Sunday night after it was announced that her video for “You Belong to Me” beat out Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” for a moon man. Kanye thought the award deserved the Beyonce and wasn’t ashamed to let the thousands of people in the crowd and the millions of people tuning in know it. Immediately after the show, he wrote this apology on his blog, that was later taken down:
“I’m sooooo sorry to Taylor Swift and her fans and her mom [Andrea]. I spoke to her mother right after and she said the same thing my mother would’ve said. She is very talented! I like the lyrics about being a cheerleader and she’s in the bleachers! …………………… I’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment!…………….. Beyonce’s video was the best of this decade!!! I’m sorry to my fans if I let you guys down!!!!! I’m sorry to my friends at MTV. I will apologize to Taylor 2mrw. Welcome to the real world!!!! Everybody wanna booooo me but I’m a fan of real pop culture!!! No disrespect but we watchin’ the show at the cribe right now cause…. Well you know!!!! I’m still happy for Taylor!!!! Boooyaawww!!!! You are very talented!!!!! I gave my awards to Outkast when they deserved it over me… That’s what it is!!!! I’m not crazy yall, I’m just real. Sorry for that!!! I really feel bad for Taylor and I’m sincerely sorry!!! Much Respect!!!!!”
The interest in this story and the apology that followed drove tons of people to his blog and the server couldn’t handle the traffic so they took the site down temporarily. But when it came back up, that post was gone and was replaced with this:
“I feel like Ben Stiller in “Meet the Parents” when he messed up everything and Robert De Niro asked him to leave… That was Taylor’s moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry.”

Here are the videos featuring the performances from Sunday night’s (Sep 13) MTV Video Music Awards: Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga and more! Even with all of the mishaps (Kanye and Lil Mama, we’re talking about YOU!), the show turned out great. This year’s VMAs were possibly the best in a while: fun, entertaining and definitely unpredictable. Continue reading to check out all of the performance videos!

When Kanye West hit the red carpet with a partially drank bottle of Hennessy and started passing it around to everybody, we should have known the night wasn’t going to go well. As country music star Taylor Swift accepted her award for “Best Female Video,” Mr. West bum rushed the stage and snatched the mic from her hands.
“Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you and I’m gonna let you finish … but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!” Kanye exclaimed to a booing audience.
The camera quickly cut to a very shocked Beyonce and by the time Kanye shrugged his shoulders left the stage, Taylor was at a loss for words and didn’t even get to finish her acceptance speech. What a way to remember your very first moon man. Kanye and his girl, Amber Rose, were later asked to leave the venue.

But near the end of the show, Beyonce’s Single Ladies video won the award for “Music Video of the Year” and Beyonce being the classy lady that she is, allowed Taylor to come up on stage and finish her acceptance speech.
“Thank you, wow … this is amazing,” Beyonce said to the crowd. “I remember being 17 years old, up for my first MTV Award with Destiny’s Child, and it was one of the most exciting moments in my life. So I would like for Taylor to come out and have her moment.”

Here are some pictures featuring performances from pop singer Lady Gaga, singer/songwriter Pink and young country music sensation Taylor Swift.
Gaga performed her hit single, “Paparazzi” and left everyone thinking “what the hell…?” after her performance ended with her hanging above the stage with blood all over her body.
Pink took to the stage with “Sober,” a song from her most recent album, Funhouse. She performed her entire set (live) in the air with a trapeze artist. Dope!
Taylor started her performance of “You Belong with Me” underground in an NYC subway terminal before making her way to the streets of Manhattan, where she ended her set on top of a taxi cab.
