Smokey Robinson and Stevie Wonder  // 25th Anniversary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concert

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame celebrated its 25th anniversary Thursday night (Oct 27) at Madison Square Garden in New York City, and legendary entertainers Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson were on hand to perform in honor of the occasion. VH1’s Divas 2009 aired live from the Brooklyn Academy of Music Thursday night (Sep 17) in New York City and was hosted by former American Idol judge Paula Abdul. The “divas” for this year’s concert were Jennifer Hudson, Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis, Adele, Jordin Sparks and Kelly Clarkson.

Other celebrities at the show who either performed or presented included India.Arie, Stevie Wonder, Toni Braxton, Sheryl Crow and more.

Lil Kim and Cyndi Lauper // Mandela Day 46664 Celebration Concert

In a move that surprised damn near everyone, Lil Kim and Cyndi Lauper performed “Time After Time” on stage together Saturday night (Jul 18) at the Mandela Day 46664 Celebration Concert … and Lil Kim sang! Albeit, Kim didn’t do very well with her vocals but we give her credit for being bold enough to do something like that in front of so many people. With a little more confidence and some vocal training, homegirl might be able to carry a little tune!

The 2009 ESPY Awards went down Wednesday night (Jul 15) at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, CA. Kobe & Vanessa Bryant, Venus & Serena Williams, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Michael Phelps, Wyclef Jean and other celebrities/athletes showed up to the ceremony, which was hosted by award-winning actor Samuel L. Jackson.

Barack Obama and Stevie Wonder

Music legend Stevie Wonder will receive a huge honorary award (The Library of Congress Award) next Wednesday, February 25th 2009. President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama will present the award to Wonder.

The White House says the president and first lady will present Wonder a Library of Congress award on Feb. 25. The concert will be broadcast the next day on PBS as part of its “Performance at the White House” series. The award-winning Motown legend performed at the Democratic National Convention in Denver on the night Obama accepted his party’s nomination. He also sang at a concert during the week of Obama’s inauguration. His song “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours” and “Higher Ground” were used as theme songs during Obama’s campaign stops.
