Beyonce hosted a screening of her "Live at Roseland: The Elements of 4" DVD on November 20th 2011 in New York City.

The word on the street right now is that Beyonce gave birth to a daughter named “Tiana Marie Carter” over the weekend of Christmas, however a new report from People Magazine states that the 30-year-old singer was clearly eating for two when she was spotted out with her husband Jay-Z on New Year’s Eve at Buttermilk Channel in Brooklyn.

“She was definitely a pregnant lady that night,” said an onlooker. “They sat side by side and had a cozy and intimate dinner. They seemed to be having a lovely time.”

The source said that the parents to be feasted on fried chicken and oysters, and also noted that Beyonce’s fashion sense was on point, as usual.

“She looked amazing. She wore sky-high heels. It was really impressive for an enormously pregnant woman,” added the source. “She looked like she was about to give birth.”

Beyonce also got props from her sister Solange, who tweeted on New Year’s Day, “Shout out to my sister for being THE cutest pregnant woman ever!”

So we guess that’s confirmation that Beyonce Baby Watch is still on.

Solange is currently in the studio with super producer Pharrell Williams putting the finishing touches on her third album. And to hold fans over, she recently released a song called “Favors,” a previously unreleased track she wrote four years ago while recording her “Sol-Angel and The Hadley St. Dreams” album.

“‘Favors’ is no way related to my album,” Solange tweeted, making it clear that this song doesn’t reflect the sound of her new project.

According to reports … and Solange … Miami police pulled a weapon on her outside Cameo Club in Miami Beach this past Saturday night (Aug 27) in the middle of an altercation between the two parties. And apparently, it was all over a banana balloon.

Knowles says she did absolutely nothing wrong, and immediately took to Twitter to air out her grievances. She tweeted:

“I have literally had my last leg with discriminating police! Miami police department will be notified. A police officer just pulled a weapon on me…. I have done NOTHING illegal, against the law, or anything of the sort. I am simply tired of police using arrogance, ego and authority as an offense.

“Been on the phone for the last 20 minutes reporting this incident. Yes, I have the officers name. Yes, I have the location. Scare tactics don’t WORK.”

But an eyewitness who claims to have been at the scene at the time of the incident said otherwise.

“She came with 3 people in shorts, was wasted, and wouldn’t put down a 3 foot balloon … then took it upon herself to accuse the Cuban cop across the street, [Miami Beach Police Department] as a bunch of racists – how do you think that went over?”

Days later, Solange still maintains her side of the story, telling E! News, “Never once during the incident did I even raise my voice. I feel very strongly about standing up for myself when something is wrong, and am very disappointed in the way that the Miami [Beach] Police Department has handled this case.”

Knowles’ reps also spoke to the website via a statement and further explained her side of the story.

Given the “sequence of false statements” made by police in the matter, “it is necessary to shed some clarity and tell her side of the story,” Knowles’ rep tells E! News.

She says that Knowles and two friends went to a club, where she somehow obtained a large balloon that they planned to give to a pal’s kid the next day.

They cabbed it to another night spot, where the bouncer informed them that they couldn’t take the balloon inside.

“They decided to go across the street to deflate the balloon, where they encountered two police officers who had casual, light-hearted conversation with them,” Knowles’ rep states. “One officer pulled out a switchblade and threatened to pop the balloon. They felt it was inappropriate, but the turning point happened when he then took out the switchblade a second time with the blade open and said to them, ‘I don’t find the humor in this, anymore.’ The blade was less than a couple feet away from Solange and her friends.”

The officer proceeded to “forcefully” ask them to move, gesturing that they cross the street though there was oncoming traffic, the rep continues.

“Solange then asked the officer what was it that they did wrong, and he forcefully responded again to move,” she told E! News. “When a taxi pulled up, they got in and headed home. Solange made a series of calls to report the incident and was told to be prepared to be arrested when she came in to report the incident if her story was false. Solange simply wanted to report that the officer pulled out a weapon, when she had done nothing illegal, disruptive or belligerent.”

“Solange is actively filing a report and has not yet decided on further legal action,” her rep concluded.

The MBPD previously said that a 5-foot-banana-toting Knowles was the one who became unruly with two off-duty police officers, who then guided her across the street to calm her down. They say that she had been loudly complaining that she was turned away from the nightclub for racial reasons.

“The whole entire incident was about the fact that she was not allowed in a club,” Officer Juan Sanchez told E! News. “And when she became abusive, she was pulled to the side. There was no mention of a gun. Considering it might be an internal investigation, I can’t tell you much other than that.”

Solange Knowles isn’t a fan of Katy Perry!

The R&B singer blasted Perry on Twitter after she caught her son sneaking to watch Katy’s music video “California Gurls”. Peep what the much more outspoken Knowles sister said by clicking below:

“Seriously, I [d]on’t like the fact dat Julez thinks he gotta sneak [and] watched ‘California Gurls’ on [You]Tube. Katy Perry is polluting the chirrens. It is like kiddie porn tho. All them damn colors, candy and sh– … and then Daisy Dukes, breast[s] shooting cream,” Knowles tweeted.

Solange also went in on Perry about the Sesame Street incident and called it a personal problem.

“And then Elmo and tits! ‘Dat sound like a personal problem.”

It sounds like there is a bit of tension going on…

Solange has been trying to find herself personally and musically for quite some time now. Her physical appearance has changed over the years and she has yet to reach any respectable success musically. Now it appears that she is giving her music another try and literally went crazy trying to create her new album, which does not have a title as of now. Here’s what she told Vibe.com recently:

“There was definitely a little bit of a breakdown involved. I literally gave up my sanity for a while to do this record. To the point to where I started doing it in Santa Barbara and I had to relocate to L.A. because I was losing it. We literally were waking up in the morning and just making music all day and all night. We left the house maybe three times! It just started to wear on me in so many different ways. I started having these crazy panic attacks. I can say that I totally sacrificed so much mentally, emotionally and financially to get this record the way I wanted it to be. It’s more than an album to me. It’s a transitional time in my life. This is a dance record, but the lyrics can get pretty dark at times.”

So where was her son, Julez when all of this was happening?

“It brought me closer to my family, my dude and my son. My mum, sister and brother (in-law) all kept Julez for a week. Everybody cancelled work when I was going through it.”

Well it’s good to see Solange trying to take her career serious. It’s definitely needed. If her next album doesn’t succeed, she needs to call it quits.

Are you ever tempted to put up a middle finger to those fans that said you were just being weird to separate yourself from your sister Beyonce?
I could really care less what Suzie B. fan, who fits a certain profile and only shops at a certain place and only goes to the spots that blogs tell her to go to, thinks. Those people have never driven me. I wouldn’t take back any of the things I did because I gained the people who I needed to have on my side. The people who don’t understand that don’t have the integrity that I want anyway. I felt really good that my songs were at the Best Of The Year-End lists in places like Pitchfork and Spin. I get my love. It may not be what everyone else’s perception is, but I definitely get respect and I feel really good about that.

You surprised a lot of people when your 2008 album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams was lauded as one of the years most critically acclaimed works. What was your reaction to all of the positive press?
I felt really good about it. I felt like I established myself as an artist with the people that I needed to and I weeded out the people that I never intended to have as part of my fanbase. Being able to tour and actually see and touch the people who are trying to really hear and feel your music is how you actually see what your fanbase is made of. These folks were not just people who wanted a radio song or wanted a particular record just for the catchiness of it. I had the people who were true music lovers; those kinds of fans will grow with me. If I want to do something more adventurous they wont abandon me.

What was the experience like of running the entire show since this project was recorded independently?
It was great. I was really proud of myself because I produced on a lot of the songs as well. I played some drums, keys, synths and all kinds of percussion. That was the first time that I actually really set in the producers chair. I am so serious…I really don’t want to be a drama queen [laughs]. But I feel that there are at least six or seven songs we recorded that really shocked me. And there are four in particular in which we really sound like we are in the ‘80s. But we didn’t try to recreate the sound. We literally applied the techniques of that era. We used all the antique instruments and equipment that we needed to achieve those sounds. But the great thing is we are all young; mostly everyone on the record is under 26. We were all inspired by that new wave experimental music. It’s a whole other level from the Hadley St. Dreams. I knew this go-around what I actually had to do. This time I didn’t have a record label or an A&R.

Were you worried about not having that industry support system?
Absolutely not. If anything I would not have been able to achieve what I did on this record if I was signed to a label. I’m talking about a major or an indie label. I would not have been able to orchestrate things the way that I did. I literally put together the budget. I literally kept control of every dollar spent, of every flight booked. I spent my own money!

JAY-Z & BEYONCE PERFORM “FOREVER YOUNG”

It’s official. Beyonce and Solange have a brand new little brother and Mathew Knowles has that son that he’s always wanted. Over the past few months, following Knowles’ divorce from his wife Tina Knowles, there’ve been talks about a certain illegitimate child named Nixon, who was the result of an 18-month affair between Mathew and a woman named Alexsandra Wright.

Well of course Mr. Knowles wanted proof that the child was actually his, so he requested a DNA test and TMZ has received word that the test came back positive:

With the DNA test a match, we’re told lawyers for Knowles and Wright are in the final stages of negotiating a settlement for baby Nixon’s child support. Wright filed a paternity suit last October against Knowles — who was temporarily ordered to pay $8,200 in monthly child support. Wright claims she had an 18 month affair with Knowles.

Solange Knowles is gearing up to release her third solo release sometime this year and to hold her fans over, via her newly launched blog she’s released a new track that she says won’t be on the new album. The song is called “Under Construction” and is done over a Thievery Corporation instrumental.

In other news, Solange recently announced that she is one of the new faces of Rimmel London, something that’s sure to get her name out there for the release of her album.

Though a paternity test is still pending, an L.A. judge ordered Mathew Knowles to pay up for his alleged newborn son Nixon (pictured above). According to TMZ, the judge ordered Knowles to pay $8,200 per month in child support, in addition to 100% of uninsured medical costs.

A woman named Alexsandra Wright claims that Mathew is the father of her newborn son Nixon, who was born February 4th. And apparently, little Nixon is the result of an 18-month affair between Wright and Knowles. Alexsandra’s lawyer asked the judge for financial support from Mathew, who technically didn’t “confirm” that he’s the child’s father, but back in January gave Alexsandra $10,000 to cover her immediate medical costs, which proves that there’s a really good chance that Mathew is the baby’s daddy.

A DNA test is set to take place on March 1st to determine the newborn’s paternity, but in the meantime, Knowles was still ordered to pay child support, backdated to February 1st in addition to the baby’s extra expenses and uninsured medical bills. It’s unknown whether or not the judge will order that Knowles pay more if he’s determined to be the child’s father.

Furthermore, the judge ordered Mathew to pay his alleged baby mama $20,750 for the month of January.

In keeping with hosting events in the name of charity for Haiti, supermodel Naomi Campbell threw a fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2010 Friday night (Feb 12) in New York City. Proceeds from ticket sales and the auction of the outfits will go to CARE, which plans to help rebuild Haiti’s health care system.

Uh oh! Looks like Jay-Z got played. Many of you might remember when it was publicly announced that Jay-Z was in the process of building his very own hotel called “J Hotel” in partnership with Charlie Blaichman and Abe Shnay of SK Development and CB Developers. The hotel was set to be built on property in New York City at 510 West 22nd St.

But since the economy tanked, the project has been put on hold. Since then Jay and his company has been trying to sell it back to investment firm Highland Capital Management, but they have bnen procrastinating in getting the deal done, which has cost Jay over a million dollars in interest. Now, the Jigga man has filed a lawsuit against the company for $3.7 million.

“This action arises out of the efforts by defendants to bleed additional funds from the plaintiff,” the rapper’s lawyers stated in legal documents.

Cold game. This is what the Business World is all about. Poor Jay. Alot of people wanted to see him build this hotel. Maybe next time.

With her sister Solange behind the turntables mixing up hits as the DJ, Beyonce celebrated the launch of her new “Heat” fragrance with a a party Tuesday night (Feb 2) at 15 Union Square in New York City. The VIP guest list included Beyonce’s husband Jay-Z (who turned down photo opps) mom Tina, her former Destiny’s Child group mate Michelle Williams, R&B singer Usher and TV personality Sherri Shepherd. We all know who wasn’t invited.

“If I had one scent that I would leave as my signature, it would be Heat. I hope that everyone is ready to catch the fever!” So said Beyoncé Knowles of her debut fragrance, Beyoncé Heat, at a star-studded launch party last night (complete with light show) in New York City’s Union Square.

The sultry 28-year-old, clad in a body-hugging red dress by Marc Bouwer, is (Sasha) fiercely proud of the signature eau she created with Coty. “I wanted it to be original and I didn’t want it to be like all the other celebrity brands.” explained Knowles. “It’s been two years in the making. Every little detail is very personal, so I’m extremely proud.”

And so far, the fragrance has been getting good reviews. Knowles has been testing the fragrance herself, wearing it on tour for the past year — “I never got so many compliments” — and, just the other night, to a little event called the Grammys. “My husband was like ‘You got 6 Grammys and you smell good.’”

Well what do ya know. Mathew Knowles (Beyonce and Solange’s daddy) really did father an illegitimate child while he was married to Tina, which prompted her to file for divorce last fall.

Sources say that Alexsandra Wright had a paternity test done recently after giving birth to her daughter, and Mathew Knowles is indeed the father. No word on how Bey Bey, Tina or Solange are taking the news of their newest family member, but we’re sure they aren’t too happy. It is said that Tina’s recent file for divorce was due to Mathew’s cheating.

**UPDATE: New reports say that the newborn is a little boy and not a little girl. And Matthew Knowles’ reps continue to deny the allegations … at least until a DNA test is done.

Wright — who filed a paternity suit against Mathew Knowles back in October — gave birth last Thursday to a baby boy. The name … Nixon. Priceless. Wright — who once appeared on “Scrubs” — claims she had a relationship with Knowles that lasted 18 months. And, sources say, Wright claims she and Mathew picked out the baby name together. We’re guessing they were watching “Frost/Nixon.”

Sources tell us Wright has a court date next week in an attempt to dislodge some support money from Mathew. We’re told Alexsandra hasn’t gotten a penny from Mathew for the baby. Mathew Knowles’ rep tells TMZ, “We are not aware of the birth of a child. Mr. Knowles has never had a DNA test. These rumors are untrue.”

Singer Solange has been getting her “DJ Hero” on a lot recently and dee-jayed at The Eldridge in New York City Tuesday night (Jan 26) for a charity benefit for the Yele Haiti Foundation. Beyonce and Jay-Z were among the crowd at the party, and Bey took a few pictures with her little sister, who is a regular disk jockey at the popular NYC nightclub.

“B and Jay-Z were having a blast,” a club goer tells HollywoodLife. “They were dancing and laughing and really into the music. Beyonce even got on the mic and sang Sweet Thang! She and Jay were having a genuine good time.”

We were one of the first to report that after 29 years of marriage, Beyonce and Solange‘s parents Tina and Mathew Knowles were getting a divorce and now the former couple has released an official statement confirming the news:

“The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one. We remain friends, parents, and business partners. If anyone is expecting an ugly messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter.”

Tina apparently filed for divorce from Mathew shortly after word got out that he had an illegitimate child on the way. According to official divorce court records, Papa Knowles was served on November 16th. In addition, the pair had been legally separated as of January 2009. What will be most interesting about this all is how they will split their fortune, which (for the most part) can be accredited to the success of their oldest daughter Beyonce.

Meanwhile, a friend of the family says that the divorce has been “unraveling for some time” and had nothing to do with Mathew’s affair, which turned public in October 2009 after reports hit the Internet that he had gotten a women (who is not Tina) pregnant.

“It’s a rough time for the family — especially over the holidays,” the source tells Us. “The kids are sad, but it’s been unraveling for some time.” And while infidelity reports have circulated, the pal clarifies that the divorce “really wasn’t about affairs.” Instead, Tina, 55, and Mathew, 58, simply “drifted apart” and led “busy, separate lives.” (Mathew manages his daughters’ music careers, while Tina heads up the House of Dereon fashion line with Beyonce.) “They will try to make it cordial. They put their kids first, and will still be around each other.”

Looks like Tina and Mathew are becoming the next Joe and Katherine (minus the divorce). We were tipped off from a seemingly reliable source that Beyonce and Solange‘s parents are getting divorced! And just in time for the Holidays.

Tina, who goes by Celestine when the courts are involved, has filed for divorce from Mathew. Documents were actually filed last month and Mathew was officially served his walking papers on the 16th of November. All of this is pretty new info so stay tuned and keep checking back for more!

PROPS: ALL EYES ON WHO

Up and coming rapper Wale recently sat down with Honey Mag and touched on a few things, including relationships, his female fans, his new album and a hot topic we all would like to know more about … his “relationship” with singer Solange:

“I do love her,” he admits of Solange, flashing a Cheshire. “We’re friends. She’s amazing. She’s a good person. Any single mother contributing to society the way she does — I got a lot of love for them. She’s got to do a lot on her own and raise a young black man in this day and age, so my hat goes off to her. She’s definitely an anomaly. And the way she can do that and manage to do the same things that I complain about having to do.”

His affection is as obvious as a set of flushed cheeks. And impossibly adorable. Wale, the former mixtape rapper from inner city DC, is borderline giddy.

“Did you interview Solange about me?” Wale asks. He’s sprawled across his bed; head practically buried in the pillow. “Did she smile when you mentioned my name?”

Wale is dead ass. But not in a corny, love sick pit-bull way. His honesty is endearing. Wale insists that he and Solange are just friends but it didn’t take a crowbar to pry his desires out of him. He stops singing MGMT’s “Electric Feel” long enough to address his future.

“It would be nice to settle down,” Wale says. “I wish that was coming soon. I’ve done a lot, man. I have no interest in accidentally getting a groupie pregnant, I’ll tell you that much. I don’t want to be the 50-year-old pops. I wanna be like, Yo, I’m bout to take off tour, go fly to see the wife, the girl, the kids or whatever I got, then come back to this bullshit-ass lifestyle with all these fair-weather friends. It’s about real love.”

There may be another child joining the Knowles clan, but not by the woman we know as Tina Knowles! Beyonce and Solange‘s father, Mathew Knowles has had a paternity suit filed against him by TV actress Alexandra Wright. Wright is in her late 30s, lives in LA, and has appeared as a guest in shows like “Scrubs” and “JAG.” She has been pregnant for six months and has hired attorney Neal Hersh to handle the case.

Mathew Knowles has been married to Tina Knowles since 1980 (and are now separated), but we’re not so surprised. There have always been scandals involving Mathew but they’ve always been resolved outside of the court so we can’t wait to see his this one pans out.

Singer (and mommy) Solange recently sat down with Honey Magazine and talked about a lot of interesting things, including raiding Bjork’s closet, fashion, her new haircut, her son  and her new album, among other things. She even touched a bit on her “relationship” with rapper Wale, which she sort of denied but at the same time left the possibility open.

Let’s just start with the question that’s on everyone’s minds: the big chop. We fell in love with the cut right away. We wanted to shoot you before the cut, but we were really excited when we saw it because we could really get fashion-y.
I guess you just go through different phases in your life. I was pretty much at the point where I needed the change and I needed to focus my energy on more productive arenas. I was putting too much into my appearance and I needed to make this about growth and going to the next stage of my life. I felt like I was being distracted by something as simple as hair. I’ve always been really fearless about change. I’ve cut my hair the same way when I was 16 and again when I was 18. This was my third time.

I saw a picture. That was really cool. I didn’t know you had done it three times.
Yeah, the picture that I supposedly Photo-shopped (laughs). A friend of mine was like ‘People are so stupid. I read somewhere that it was recent and you Photo-shopped the color.’ I was like ‘Yeah, because it’s that crucial.’

Let’s talk about the Honey shoot, you coming in and seeing all those crazy clothes that you fell in love with. How was your experience shooting with us?
It was amazing. You guys had the best energy of a shoot to me — I was just talking about it last night on Twitter. I really admire and study and respect the brilliance of fashion. I don’t live, breathe, eat, drink and depend on fashion to be more than what it is. I think when you have that frame of mind you really can go there. You really have no resignations about putting looks together that are just fun and fearless and that’s what you guys provided and allowed me to do so I was really happy.

Good. Who’s closet would you raid if you had the chance to do it?
Probably Björk. It would be a tie between her and Grace [Jones], but I think I’d have to go with Björk because over the years there have been so many different phases and extremes and color. I am a person who loves color and I think it’s the most beautiful backdrop for life.

You talked a little bit about your stages for fashion and philosophy but what would you say this stage is in your style evolution? What are you looking toward for spring 2010?
I think right now, I’m learning how to incorporate completely different extremes as to my last record, it was just like an overstimulation of extremes, which I love. Now, I’m learning how to have one more simple extreme or one more statement extreme, and learning how to blend those together. But you probably will still see me rocking animal print as I did the other day. Someone cracked up laughing and was like ‘Where the hell do you think you’re going with flannel, leopard and stripes?’ I was like ‘I’m going to tackle my day.’

I love it. Let’s talk about Julez. We are big fans of your Twitter here. A lot of your conversations revolve around your experience as a mother, your son, and your family. I think that it’s really cool to see a young mom still being herself, taking care of her child, and sharing these hilarious stories with us.

Do you have any advice to industry moms in particular, or just young working moms who still want to be themselves?
I think balance is the essential key to motherhood. I think it’s a really hard rhythm to find, but if you learn how to capture it, it makes the rewards so beautiful. I try not to ever be away from him unless he’s with his dad. We have equal custody, so we work together on it, but it definitely gets hard when I have all these opportunities coming at me. I have to say no to a lot of things because at the end of the day I know that no matter how many awards or accolades or praise or money I get, the one thing that really is a judgment of me is what kind of mother I am. A lot of people feel like their life has to stop because of the child, and they have to let go of their interests. You definitely have to compromise some of them, but I’ve been really blessed. When I went to see Grace Jones, Julez was right there with me. Julez is right there with me when I go for my bike rides. And when I go on tour, he’s with me. And I feel so blessed to be in the position to do that.

Does he realize when he’s doing these things that Mommy’s not the average mommy — going on tour, going to do this and that.
He does now. I don’t think he realized it in the beginning, but the good thing is that he’s humble about it. If I ever see that he’s not, he will get snapped back before he can blink his eyes.

Now, you have your new album.
Yes, I’m working on it now.

I’m assuming you’re going in a new direction or at least evolving with your sound.
I am definitely evolving. The interesting thing about my record is that I did it so long ago. I started writing and experimenting with that sound when I moved to Idaho. It took a few years before it actually came out. By that time I still loved it. It was definitely a concept record. I was really inspired by the ’60s and ’70s sound, mixed with electronic sounds and how to mash those together. With this record I am experimenting more with a really interesting mix of music. My describing it probably sounds crazy but I’m kind of working with tribal, Native American drums and mashing them with weird ’80s and blues. I have been exposed to so many different great forms of music. It’s definitely going to be an experimental album. I’m working with so many great people on this record, so many different bands and musicians.

Can you name a few of them?
I’ve been working with Kevin Barnes from of Montreal, an incredible band. I’m about six songs in and maybe four of them will make it. I’m still establishing the sound, but what I’m really focusing on is doing everything independently. I’ve been A&R-ing the project and staying on top of the budgets. I’ve been producing myself, and learning the backside of making the record financially because I didn’t do as much of that the last record. I really want to be in a place where I feel no pressure with my record sales. I really just want to have the experimental space to make a record that if 30,000 people like it, I’ll feel really proud — even more than the last one. There are so many adventurous artists — a good friend of mine, Janelle Monae, who’s incredible, and Santigold and some of the more popular indie artists who are opening up the doors to people’s ears. I feel good about it. I hope that people are able to take this journey with me because it is a lot different than the last record.

Is there anyone that you want to work with that you have not had the pleasure of working with yet for your own music? I hate asking this question because it’s so cliché but I feel like you would give us a cool list of people.
Yeah! It’s a crazy list. I want to work with Grizzly Bear. The thing is, I’m really wanting to — I’m so super honest, I probably shouldn’t even say this — but there’s a lot people I want to work with but they charge an arm and a leg. There are so many talented kids around that are so experimental. I would love to work with Pharrell or Kanye West because I think they’re incredibly talented. They could probably go as left as they want to and I would be that artist that would say, ‘I don’t care.’ I want to work with a lot of lesser known bands. I work with a guy, Theophilus London, who’s sort of like a rapper, but he does a lot of Afro-beats. There are so many great people now, I’m really excited to get in [the studio] even if doesn’t work out, just being able to get in there and experiment. It’s a great feeling.

Five words to describe yourself?
Water, blood, melanin, bones, and … vajajay.

Five words that the public would use to describe you?
The general perception is that I am crazy, maybe? That I am attention-seeking. But I think everyone can say that I’m smart. At least I think I come across smart. I don’t really know (laughs) because I don’t really care.

What is your favorite hangover cure?
I’m typically one of those people who’s never hung over. I really try to be responsible with my drinking. I just kind of deal with it.

Would you describe yourself as a rebel?
Yes.

I’ve met many stars in my life but I would have been completely satisfied just to have laid eyes on MJ himself. The closest I’ve come was hearing he and his band rehearsing right next door to me here in L.A. last month, while he was rehearsing for his tour abroad. I will be overseas at the same time the tour was scheduled so yet again I looked forward to being in the same place.”

Singer/songwriter Solange performed Thursday (Jun 11) night during Day 1 of the 2009 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.

And urban/alternative singer, songwriter and performer Janelle Monae performed Thursday (Jun 11) night as well.

BET Networks recently announced via press release that rappers Jay-Z, Fabolous and Young Jeezy and gospel duo Mary Mary have all been added to the official line-up of performers for the 2009 BET Awards. The annual ceremony’s star-studded line-up of performers already includes platinum-selling artists like Beyonce, Kanye West, The Dream, Soulja Boy, Ne-Yo and Maxwell so the new additions to the roster will no doubt be in good company.

The popular African American entertainment network also announced that Queen Latifah, Taraji P. Henson, Sherri Shepherd, Idris Elba, Paula Patton and Solange Knowles have all been confirmed as presenters at the show, which will take place live via Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium on Sunday, June 28th at 8:00 P.M.

Beyonce introduced her sister Solange to the stage at her “I Am… Tour” after party Monday (May 25) night at Indig02 at O2 Arena in London, England.
