Snoop Dogg … oh, excuse us … Calvin Broadus rang the opening bell Monday morning (Nov 16) at the NY Stock Exchange in New York City. With his pimp suit on and everythang!

He was a panelist at New York’s Global Entrepreneurship Week, which is part of the 2nd annual “Mentoring Madness,” an organized event that focuses on mentoring young entrepreneurs and exposing them to the business world. During the panel discussion, the 38-year-old rapper dropped some knowledge on the young people in the audience.

“If you stop at general math, you’re only going to make general math money,” he said.

And the former Crip gang member isn’t just talking to hear himself speak. Home boy knows what he’s talking about. He reportedly excelled in Calculus while in high school.

Rappers Snoop Dogg and Soulja Boy are homies now! Rapper/producer Snoop Dogg gave fans in New York City a taste of his new album when he performed live on stage at the Nokia Theater Thursday night (Oct 29) as a part of his “Wonderland High School Tour.”

Accompanied by back-up dancers, an electric guitar, and an turntable, Snoop’s energy spread over the room like smoke, with goodies “The Next Episode,” “P.I.M.P.,” and “Gangsta Luv,” a joint off his new album, Malice N Wonderland. “New York, New York” had the crowd high, but it was The Lady of Rage, with her puffy hair in tow, that really awakened the audience. She blasted off “Afro Puffs” spitting, “I rock rough and stuff with my afro puffs.” She elicited the encouraging chant, “Hey, rock on wit cha bad self!”

Snoop Dogg is a big fan of HBO original series “True Blood” and he likes the show so much he wants to get his chance to portray a vampire in a future episode!

The rapper, who has starred in movies including Bones and Hood of Horror, professes his love for the hit drama in the lyrics of his new single Gangsta Luv, and now he’s hoping producers and casting agents can find him a part in the series, starring Anna Paquin and her real-life fiance Stephen Moyer. He says, “You know I’m down with it. I love that show. I wish I could be on it. I’d be a hell of a vampire, don’t you think? So what’s happening True Blood, get at me – Snoop Dogg wants to be a vampire”

Michael Jackson’s three children, Prince Michael (12), Paris (11) and Prince Michael aka “Blanket” (7) were not inside the vehicle that was involved in an accident in Los Angeles Wednesday afternoon (Oct 21). Reports previously stated that the kids were on their way to a Karate class when the car they were riding in was rear-ended by a thirsty paparazzo.

But after further investigation, the LAPD are saying that the car that was hit was a security vehicle, and not the car the Jackson kids were in. The unidentified photographer who rear-ended the Jackson security car was charged after he reportedly fled the scene without exchanging insurance information. He was charged with a hit-and-run misdemeanor.

The damage done to the security vehicle was reported to be minor and the kids’ grandfather Joe Jackson told reporters that the kids and his wife Katherine, who was also in the vehicle, were okay.

The 2009 BET Hip Hop Awards went down in Atlanta, GA Saturday (Oct 10). We hear Jay-Z and Young Jeezy opened the show in a big way with a surprise performance! Other tidbits from the show include the late DJ AM being the recipient of the “DJ of the Year” award, Kid & Play popping up during New Boyz‘ performance and Gucci Mane performing like 3 or 4 times.
