Shaquille O’ Neal recently stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to promote his new book “Shaq Uncut.”

During his guest appearance, the retired NBA star talked about having his own statue at LSU, being a police officer, what a date with him is like, writing about Kobe’s rap skills in his book and more.

While on the show…..Hoopz also came on stage and carried Shaq — who stands at 7-foot-1 tall — on her back. (Yikes!)

Retired NBA player Shaquille O’Neal is on the verge of releasing a tell-all book later this month titled “Shaq Uncut: My Story.”

The book is basically an autobiography of sorts where Shaq opens up about everything, including his beef with his former L.A. Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant, how he wrote Halle Berry a love letter back in his college days (and she responded!) what it’s like being retired now, and much more.

Shaq even explains what exactly sparked his big feud with Kobe, and it had a lot to do with Kobe’s sexual assault charges back in 2003.

On public feud with Kobe:

So I’m on edge because I don’t have a new deal, and Kobe is on edge because he might be going to jail, so we’re taking it out on each other. Just before the start of the ’03-’04 season the coaching staff called us in and said, “No more public sparring or you’ll get fined.” … Phil was tired of it. Karl Malone and Gary Payton were sick of it. … So what happens? Immediately after that Kobe runs right out to Jim Gray and does this interview where he lets me have it. He said I was fat and out of shape. He said I was milking my toe injury for more time off, and the injury wasn’t even that serious. (Yeah, right. It only ended my damn career.) He said I was “lobbying for a contract extension when we have two Hall of Famers playing pretty much for free.” I’m sitting there watching this interview and I’m gonna explode. Hours earlier we had just promised our coach we’d stop. It was a truce broken. I let the guys know, “I’m going to kill him.”

Kobe stands up and goes face-to-face with me and says, “You always said you’re my big brother, you’d do anything for me, and then this Colorado thing happens and you never even called me.” I did call him. … So here we are now, and we find out he really was hurt that we didn’t stand behind him. That was something new. I didn’t think he gave a rat’s ass about us either way. “Well, I thought you’d publicly support me, at least,” Kobe said. “You’re supposed to be my friend.”

Brian Shaw chimed in with “Kobe, why would you think that? Shaq had all these parties and you never showed up for any of them. We invited you to dinner on the road and you didn’t come. Shaq invited you to his wedding and you weren’t there. Then you got married and didn’t invite any of us. And now you are in the middle of this problem, this sensitive situation, and now you want all of us to step up for you. We don’t even know you.” …
Everyone was starting to calm down when I told Kobe, “If you ever say anything like what you said to Jim Gray ever again, I will kill you.”

Kobe shrugged and said, “Whatever.”

From that day on, I was done dealing with Kobe. I was done dealing with Jim Gray, too. What goes around, comes around. When he got fired, he actually had the nerve to call me and ask me to help him out. What, did you lose Kobe’s number?

On Kobe being immature and a tattle tail:

He was so young and so immature in some ways, but I can tell you this: everything Kobe is doing now, he told me all the way back then he was going to do it. We were sitting on the bus once and he told me, “I’m going to be the number one scorer for the Lakers, I’m going to win five or six championships, and I’m going to be the best player in the game.” I was like, “Okay, whatever.” Then he looked me right in the eye and said, “I’m going to be the Will Smith of the NBA.”

My first Lakers season we had a couple of rookies, and we hazed them pretty badly. We were dogging them out constantly. It was “Go get my bags, go get me something to eat.” It was kind of a rite of passage in the NBA that a lot of teams do, but we probably went a little too far with it. One of the rookies—Derek Fisher—just took it. The other rookie—Kobe Bryant—ratted us out to Jerry West.

On getting into it with Miami Heat team president Pat Riley:

My ticket out of Miami was punched in mid-February 2008. There was a lot of tension between Pat and the players. So we’re about to start practice and Jason Williams comes in about ten seconds late. Pat being Pat, he starts swearing at him and screaming, “Get the hell out of here!”…

I tell Pat we’re a team and we need to stick together, not throw guys out of the gym. Pat is screaming at me and says if I don’t like it, then I should get the hell out of practice, too.

That’s when I said, “Why don’t you make me?”

I start taking a couple of steps towards Pat. Udonis Haslem steps in and I shove him out of the way. Then Zo tries to grab me. I threw him aside like he was a rag doll. Now it’s me and Riley face-to-face, jaw to jaw. I’m poking him in the chest and he keeps slapping my finger away and it’s getting nasty. Noisy, too. He’s yelling “Fuck you!” and I’m yelling back, “No, fuck you!”

Zo is trying to calm us both down and he has this kind of singsong panic in his voice. He keeps saying, “Big fella, no big fella, big fella!” I finally turn around and tell him, “Don’t worry, I’m not going to hit the man. Do you think I’m crazy?”

On writing a love letter Halle Berry and getting a response:

I remember being in the dorm room one night and we were watching the movie Jungle Fever with Halle Berry in it, and I thought she was so stunning, so I wrote her a letter. I was just kind of kidding around, telling her I was a big fan and I’d love to meet her sometime. The guys totally goofed on me for doing it, but I didn’t care. A few weeks later, no lie, Halle Berry wrote me back. She sent me a signed picture that I still have hanging in my office. Turns out she’s a basketball fan. She wrote, “I’m a big fan of yours, too. I can’t wait until you get to the NBA.”

On retired life:

They’ve already got some things cooking in Hollywood for me. Adam Sandler called me in June 2011 and said, “I want you to be in some of my movies.

I’ve stayed fairly low-key about what I own. For instance, out of the fifteen twenty-four-hour fitness places I own, only three have my name on it. None of the Five Guys I own have my name on it. None of the clubs I own in Vegas, either.

“Shaq Uncut: My Story” will be released via Grand Central Publishing on November 15th!

Shaquille O’Neal has a thing for Rihanna! Or at least he used to.

In a set of newly leaked text messages and e-mails from 2008, the now retired NBA star can be seen trying to get Newsweek reporter Allison Samuels to set him up with either her … or Pop superstar Rihanna.

Shaq and Samuels met when she was covering a Lakers game, and they’ve been friends ever since. In fact, Samuels helped write Shaq’s mom’s autobiography.

It is believed that Shaq was still with his wife Shaunie at the time the messages were sent (they were reconciling following their divorce in 2007).

During their conversation, Samuels tries to set the then basketball star up with several models and actresses, including Sessilee Lopez, Lauren London and Robinne Lee. Shaq also drops a bomb in the text exchanges when he reveals that Lauren London is “d wade’s girl” (referring to his former Miami Heat teammate Dwayne Wade, who is dating Gabrielle Union, and has been for a while now.)

But wait, there’s more. Not only was Shaq crushing on a Newsweek reporter and a Pop star … but he was also getting it in with a hot supermodel too!

In addition to the messages between the former NBA star and Newsweek’s Allison Samuels, a “freaky” text exchange between Shaq and model Dominica Wrestling (one of his mistresses) from February 2009 has been leaked too.

In these messages, Shaq’s thirstiness gets the best of him as he expresses his excitement after she texts him, and he responds with asking her where she wants him to “cum at” when he sees her.

The Boston Celtics announced Tuesday (Aug 10) that Shaquille O’Neal (pictured above with the team’s head coach, Doc Rivers) will be playing for their team in the upcoming basketball season.

The 38-year-old, 7-foot-1, 325-pound basketball player was officially announced as a Celtic at a press conference yesterday morning and he said that the sole reason he came to Boston was to WIN!

“When I came into the league, I wanted to compete with Bill Russell for titles,” O’Neal said with Russell’s 11 championship banners hanging above him. “That’s not going to happen, but I’d like to almost get half of what he got. … I still have hunger, I still can play, I still want to win,” O’Neal said. “When I close my book at the end of the day it’s all about winning, nothing else.”

Shaq, who has played for a number of NBA teams including the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns and most recently the Cleveland Cavaliers, has won 4 NBA titles over the course of his career and hopes to end his career with at least 5 or 6 titles.

Shaq’s brand new $1.4 million dollar (?) deal with the Boston Celtics is for 2 years and he says that this will most likely be his final NBA contract.

“This summer I had many options but I wanted to be with a team that was used to winning, with a team that was one or two pieces away,” O’Neal said. “I think it’s a good fit. … I realize I only have 730 days left in this game. I just wanted to be with a group of guys that like to win,” O’Neal said. “This was a good team with or without me. I don’t mind playing a role. I know where I am at this point in my career. It’s about coming to a team that is one or two pieces from a championship.”

Shaq’s new team (the Celtics) will play his old team (the Cavaliers) for the first time in the Cavs’ season opener on October 27th.

The divorce battle between Shaquille O’Neal and his estranged wife Shaunie is getting uglier by the day, just like all divorce battles between celebrities and their spouses. According to a new report from TMZ, Shaq has been interrogating the couple’s children and firing off death threats to Shaunie’s new boyfriend by way of their 6-year-old son.

Shaunie O’Neal’s lawyers just fired off a letter to Shaq’s people, claiming the bball star “interrogated” the couple’s children to tell him everything they knew about her new man … “to the point that they felt intimidated and scared of him.” Shaunie also claims Shaq told their 6-year-old son to tell her boyfriend that Shaq “is going to kill him” — and that Shaq even screamed at the kid and said, “Say it now! My daddy is going to kill you!”

Shaunie’s lawyers are demanding Shaq halt “further inappropriate discussions” with their children — which is an alleged violation of the non-disparagement provision of their divorce judgment.

Shaq is extra childish for that mess! Can’t deny the humor in it though: “Say it now! My daddy is going to kill you!” LOL!!

Many of you probably saw VH1′s new reality show “Basketball Wives,” which focuses on the wives and girlfriends of NBA stars. This show also stars Shaquille O’Neal‘s estranged wife, Shaunie O’Neal and the good folks at TMZ have reported that Shaq an his lawyers have sent VH1 a letter demanding that any shows which include any talk of Shaq and Shaunie’s marriage not be televised:

Shaquille O’Neal believes his estranged wife Shaunie O’Neal may be cooking up a “televised revenge” plot on her VH1 reality show — and now he’s making legal threats to keep her from Shaq-bashing on the air. Shaq’s lawyer has fired off a letter to the network — obtained by TMZ — in which he demands VH1 immediately halt production on “any further episodes of ‘Basketball Wives’ which make any reference to Mr. O’Neal.”

Shaq’s lawyer claims Shaunie signed a confidentiality agreement at some point in their relationship — so if she says anything about Shaq on TV, she and the production company will find their asses in court.

The first episode of the show already ran last week and show #2 — which reportedly features a scene centered around Shaunie’s relationship with Shaq — is scheduled to run Sunday. Sources close to the show tell us it’s unclear whether or not the next episode will make air.

Dang, sounds like Shaq ain’t playin’ no games! Even though you’ve gotta admit, he’s a little late on rounding up his legal goons. The show’s already airing. This is something that should have been done months ago…

There were many celebrities and athletes spotted in Cowboy Stadium in Dallas, TX Sunday night (Feb. 14) watching the 2010 All-Star Game from their VIP court-side seats. NBA star Shaquille O’ Neal and wife Shaunie O’ Neal have decided to file for separation. The two apparently can not seem to reconcile their difference just like in 2007 when Shaq filed for divorce when he believed his wife was stashing away money throughout their marriage. The couple, who reportedly have a prenuptial agreement, eventually reconciled after the bitter dispute.

According to recent reports, Shaunie (real name: Va’shaundya) later plans to file for divorce and she’s also seeking full custody of their four children, spousal (and child) support and visitation rights for Shaq.

Shaunie pulled her kids out of school last week in Florida and they now reside in L.A. with her.  For some odd reason Shaq’s people believe its all about money.  Wonder why that may be? Well on November 8th she flew to L.A. and filed for separation there because a spouse generally does a lot better in the spousal support department in California than in Florida.  Shaunie is now claiming L.A. as her residential area.

To date, Shaq and Shaunie have been married for 6 years 11 months.

Cleveland Cavaliers baskeball star Shaquille O’Neal has admitted more than once he is interested in a career in the law force.  This may very well be the next step after his career in the NBA.  It is said that when he gets time off from his busy basketball career, the 7 ft. 1 in. center hangs out with the 5-0 as a reserve L.A. Port police officer, and in Miami he serves as a Beach reserve officer.

Shaq was also part of the Maricopa County Sherriff Posse in Arizona, until he was relieved of his duties after going after NBA player Kobe Bryant in a rap battle. But now, “Officer O’Neal” wants to be with the po-po in Cleveland.

Black Voices reports: “Shaq applied to become a special deputy with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff. If his application is approved, he would require 36 hours of police training and take an Ohio police exam. If he completes the training and passes the test, he will be deputized.

“But what does a special deputy do? Not much, but just enough. The title allows him to carry a firearm and make arrests, but he would not be a paid formal employee. That’s right, he’s being a cop for the fun of it!”

The star players of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Lebron James and Shaquille O’Neal, were spotted by the paparazzi on Wednesday (Oct 28) as they left their hotel to go to the Air Canada Center in Toronto, Canada to play against the Toronto Raptors.

NBA star Shaquille O’Neal attended a press conference for his new television show, “Shaq Vs,” at the Loews Santa Monica Hotel Wednesday (Aug 5) in Santa Monica, CA. In the new ABC reality series, Shaq will take on Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in football, Michael Phelps in swimming, Serena Williams in tennis and other famous athletes in their respective sports. There will, of course, be negotiations of a handicap before the big man takes on his competitors; for instance, Michael Phelps may have to swim 2 or 3 laps for every lap that Shaq swims, just to be fair.

Shaq told USA Today he came up with the idea of the show as a way to train for his upcoming NBA season as a Cleveland Cavalier. He believes people would definitely be interested in the idea of an athlete playing another sport. According to USA Today, episodes will show O’Neal as he prepares for the challenges, hosts news conferences and spends time with needy kids before climaxing with the main event.

The show premieres on ABC next Tuesday, August 18th at 9/8c.

After hooping it up with Shaquille O’Neal, Chris Tucker and Bow Wow at Shaq’s crib, Chris and Bow Wow hit up the bowling alley where he announced a new album, a new single, gave a shout-out to his fans and let everyone know that he’s “not a monster” via Bow Wow’s Justin.tv page.

“I just wanna say what up ’cause I ain’t been out there in a minute, but a new album’s gonna be coming soon, called Graffiti… I’m about to drop a single this summer for y’all, we ain’t going nowhere… Everybody out there that’s haters, they just been haters. All my real fans, I love y’all … I ain’t a monster.”

Meanwhile, there’s a new story floating around saying that Chris Brown is supposedly working on a country-inspired song called “Trapped In A Dream” for that new Graffiti album he was talking about. If this song makes the final cut, he’ll definitely be holding true to the album’s title since Graffiti is supposed to be random and let’s face it, a country song from Chris Brown will be just that … RANDOM!

Chris’ producer Robert Allen said: “Maybe we’ll see an appearance from country star Carrie Underwood or someone like that. It’s that kind of song.

“It’s just feeling like you don’t want that dream to go away. Everybody has a dream and you’re in it, but you wake up and you’re like, ‘Oh, my God.’ You feel like you’re still in that dream.”

Chris has submerged himself in work since he was accused of punching, hitting and choking Rihanna until she was unconscious in his rented Lamborghini on February 8. Robert explained to E!: “We just focus on music. We’re just happy-go-lucky people who just get into the studio as much as possible.”

Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Shaq used inappropriate racial derogatory statements and foul language, and left him no choice. Sheriff Arpaio said to the Associated Press:

“I want his two badges back,” Arpaio said, “Because if any one of my deputies did something like this, they’re fired. I don’t condone this type of racial conduct.”

Shaquille ‘O Neal claims that he was simply freestyling and he doesn’t have anything against Kobe Bryant or anything. Shaq stated:

“I was freestyling. That’s all. It was all done in fun. Nothing serious whatsoever.”

Well, if you ask me, he shouldn’t have said any of it! Shaq was half-serious when he said everything that came out of his mouth. Someone once said, “He who laughs last has the best laugh.”

In a recent TMZ video, Shaquille ‘O Neal called himself “free-styling” and trying to rap and he caught himself dissing Kobe Bryant hard! I cannot believe this! Shaq seriously needs to retire. I’m not even gonna get into why he should but check out the video above!

The Phoenix Suns become optimistic in Game 4 by winning their first game last night. The won by 19 points (105-86), but the San Antonio Spurs is still leading (3-1). Top performer of the Suns, Raja Bell, had 27 points, 5 assists and 6 rebounds. Shaquille O’ Neal had 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 1 assists. Steve Nash, who had 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists, said at the end of the game:

“A lot of woulda coulda shouldas,” Steve Nash continued. “But we’re still alive, and we played well in San Antonio and haven’t got a win yet. So we want to go down there with a very optimistic attitude.”

Tony Parker had 18 points, 3 assists and 4 rebounds. Tim Duncan had a total of 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists. Duncan knew once the score was leading by double digits there was no hope:

“You lose by two and you play all those minutes, or you lose by 20 and you get some time to rest,” Duncan said. “I guess you can find a positive there. You don’t want to lose any games like this, but it happens and we’ll be ready to go the next one.”

MVP of Game 3 went to Tony Parker, who scored a career-high 41 points and 12 assists leading the Spurs to a 16-point victory (115-99). Tim Duncan added 23 points and 10 rebounds. Manu Ginobili scored a total of 20 points.

The losing streak Suns’ aren’t looking too good on this scoreboard. Amare Stoudemire totaled 28 points and 11 rebounds. Shaquille O’ Neal totaled 19 points out of free throws. Steve Nash finished with only 7 points with 9 assists. Star of Game 3, Tony Parker, responds he seen many opportunities last night:

“They were backing off on the pick-and-rolls,” he said, “So I took the shot and it felt good tonight.”

Spurs coach, Gregg Popovich, was very proud of his players in last night. So proud that after the game he states:

“We possibly played our best game of the year.” Coach Popovich said.

Game 4 is the Suns last chance to gain some type of lead way.

Looks like the sun has set for the Phoenix Suns, with a domination and victory to the San Antonio Spurs last night. With a final score of (117-115) including the double overtime. Tim Duncan was on fire last night especially because of his unexpected shot behind the 3-point line. Tim Duncan had 40 points and 15 rebounds, Tony Parker had 22 points, Manu Ginobili had 24 points and the winning point/layup with 1.8 seconds left in the second overtime. At the end of the game Duncan made this statement:

“It feels like a finals game,” Duncan said, “It’s the first game of the first series, and we’re going have to muster energy back up”

Hip-hop mogul and business man Russell Simmons hosted a gala for his Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation Saturday night (Apr. 5th) at the Bath Club in Miami.

Forbes released their list of the top-earning African American stars. Oprah Winfrey tops the list, earning a whopping $260 million, Tiger Woods trails behind her at a distant $100 milion, and Jay-Z is right behind him with $83 million earned. The list also includes Beyonce (#9 at $27 million) and Kobe Bryant (#5 at $33 million). The list was determined off of earnings between June 2006 and June 2007. Check out the full list below!

SHAUNIE: “I WANT TO SAVE OUR MARRIAGE” » Shaquille O’Neal’s divorce battle may be postponed, as his wife Shaunie Nelson has filed papers to the court denying that her marriage is irretrievably broken down. The basketball legend filed for divorce last month claiming that his wife had been “secretive about her assets … particularly with respect to certain properties owned or titled in either (her) name alone or in other entities.” However, Nelson denies this secrecy stating that she has “nothing to hide.” The wife of Shaquille is asking the court to grant her a three-month continuance so that she can attempt to save her marriage and ignore her husband’s divorce application. The Beyonce-branded version of the UpStage music phone originally introduced earlier this year features gold-and-burgundy colors designed by Beyonce, a Beyonce-themed startup screen and the ability to download exclusive Beyonce photos, videos and a song she recorded as a child.

“When I was 10, I recorded a song called ’632-5792′ — a phone number. It’s a little embarrassing but it’s cute. LINDSAY LOHAN: “NO MORE L.A. CLUBBING FOR ME!” » Lindsay Lohan is out of rehab and ready to turn over a new leaf … we hope. Right now she’s saying that she is going to keep away from the L.A. club scene and ditch old pals who might drag her back into bad habits. “Going out all the time was very self-destructive,” the former party girl told In Touch magazine. “The biggest thing is not being in L.A. and staying away from the nightlife,” the 21-year-old actress said. Portions of the interview were posted on the magazine’s website today. Lohan entered the Cirque Lodge rehab center in Utah back in August after being busted for drunken driving and cocaine possession. She left the facility a week ago, but may return for some outpatient treatment.

“I hit rock bottom,” she told OK! magazine. “Everything in my life came to a point where I had to make a decision.” Lohan is set to begin filming “Dare to Love Me” in Los Angeles on Oct. 15, but after that she won’t be sticking around the City of Angels. “I plan on returning to Utah so I can stay focused and avoid other distractions,” she told OK!. Those distractions include so-called friends who are more interested in partying than in her well-being, she told In Touch. “I have good people in my life now. POOR MARION… » Marion Jones surrendered the five medals she won seven years ago at the Sydney Olympics Monday, just days after she admitted using performance-enhancing drugs in U.S. District Court in White Plains. Jones also agreed to a two-year suspension from track and field even though the 31-year-old tainted superstar already announced her retirement after Friday’s appearance in court. “She has paid a very high price,” said United States Anti-Doping Agency chief executive officer Travis Tygart. “She is looking at jail time and she has lost the glory she won.”

The three gold medals and two bronze medals Jones won in 2000 were sent to the United States Anti-Doping Agency yesterday, Tygart said. USADA officials will turn the medals over to United States Olympic officials, which will then return them to the International Olympic Committee. The IOC can strip medals and nullify results eight years after competition. She won gold medals in 2000 in the 100 meters, 200 meters, and 1,600-meter relay, as well as bronze medals in the long jump and 400-meter relay. [ READ MORE HERE » ]
