Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z // 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards

Miranda Cosgrove and Brody Jenner presented Beyonce with the award for “Best Video” at the 2009 MTV EMA last night (Thur Nov 5). And when Beyonce made her speech she said she only wanted to thank one person:

“Okay, there’s only one person I wanna thank. …. And that is Jay for putting a ring on it”

Wait, this can’t really be the first time Beyonce has publicly acknowledged her marriage to Jay-Z in the past year and a half can’t it?? Better late than never we guess but damn!

Beyonce’s music video for “Single Ladies” beat out “Waking Up In Vegas” (Katy Perry), “Circus” (Britney Spears), “We Made You” (Eminem), “She Wolf” (Shakira) in the category. Earlier in the night she performed her hit single “Sweet Dreams.”

Promoting her latest album She Wolf, Colombian Latin-pop singer/songwriter Shakira performed a great rendition of her new single “Did It Again” at Thursday night’s (Nov 5) 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin.

We love how the performance started out just like the music video! Truth be told, we have no idea what she’s saying (who really listens to the words anyway? LOL) but that doesn’t take away from the energy of the overall performance one bit. The ending was dope too, when she put the mic down and did the choreography with the drummers.

Shakira recently premiered the video to her second international single “Did It Again.” We’re feeling the catchy track and we’re definitely loving it even more after the video. Shakira does an amazing job with the choreography and the portrayal of sex in a new way. Rather than dressing slutty and shaking her (ass)ets, she uses dance to show meaning. Amazing video! Shakira and her chi-chi’s are front and center on the cover of the November 2009 issue of Rollingstone Magazine. And the 32-year-old singer says she’s ready to make some babies now she’s sold over 50 millions records and racked in over $100 million in doing so. At this stage in the game, the Colombian entertainer is on the verge of releasing her third English album She Wolf and now she’s ready to “reproduce.”

In Rolling Stone’s new issue, on stands today, Shakira tells Vanessa Grigoriadis about the pressures of becoming a true superstar in the U.S. now so she can indulge a “physical calling” soon: “My body feels like it is asking to reproduce,” she says, revealing that a baby could be in her post-She Wolf future.

To meet that goal, Shakira hit the studio hard for She Wolf, and gave Rolling Stone an up-close look at her coffee-fueled sessions at the Bahamas’ Compass Point Studios, a location she chose specifically for its rock & roll cred. “I am such a huge fan of Bob Marley, the Cure and AC/DC, and when I heard about this legendary studio where all of them recorded, I knew I had to be here,” she says.

Shakira also talks about Lil Wayne being on her new song, why she refuses to marry her boyfriend of nine years and more in the latest issue of RS, on stands now!
