Reality TV personality Kandi Burruss brought in the new year by throwing a Ciroc-sponsored party in Miami Beach, Florida Saturday night (Dec 31).

Kandi’s “Ciroc the New Year 2012″ event saw a performance from R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo, as well as appearances from BET personality Terrence J and supermodel Selita Ebanks.

BET‘s top-rated scripted series “The Game” is set to return for a brand new season beginning Tuesday, January 10th 2012 at 10pm.

As the #1 sitcom debut in the history of all cable TV, season four of The Game left viewers on the edge of their seats.

The seduction continues as infidelity, ambition, secrets and betrayal collide to make season five the most compelling yet.

Picking up where it left off, Melanie (Tia Mowry Hardrict) contends with Derwin’s (Pooch Hall) abortion accusation; Malik (Hosea Chanchez) and Tasha (Wendy Raquel Robinson) struggle to wrangle an intoxicated Jenna (Tika Sumpter); and Kelly (Brittany Daniel) is still off in the world trying to find herself, leaving Jason (Coby Bell) forced to come to terms with his feelings towards Black women.

The new season also ushers in a new love interest for Jason, who is sure to shake things up!

BET also revealed that R&B singer Brandy will join the cast of “The Game” as a recurring character (Maybe she’s Jason new love interest?).

According to recent reports, viewers can also expect guest appearances from Selita Ebanks, NeNe Leakes, Estelle, Shawn Marion,  Rockmond Dunbar, DeRay Davis and the Emmy Award winning Loretta Devine, among others.

“The Game,” created by Mara Brock Akil (who also created the hit UPN series “Girlfriends”), was canceled by the CW due to low viewership after three seasons back in May 2009 when it was averaging only 2 million viewers.

BET picked the show up in 2010, and its subsequent Season 4 premiere in January 2011 drew 7.7 million viewers, making it the best showing ever for the series on cable broadcast, and BET’s most watched telecast.

With renewed interest in the show and a star-studded list of guest appearances, it will most definitely be interesting to see how many people watch the show when it premieres in January 2012.

Ne-Yo rubbed shoulders with supermodel Selita Ebanks and tennis phenom Serena Williams at The Compound Foundation’s 2011 Annual Benefit in New York City this past Wednesday night (Sep 14).

Ne-Yo’s mom Lorraine Smith and singer Corrine Bailey Rae were also at the event, which was held to raise awareness and funds for the non-profit founded by the R&B singer.

Fashion’s Night Out is arguably the biggest event held during New York Fashion Week to kick-off the week-long festivities. Naturi Naughton — who stars in NBC’s new show The Playboy Club — showed up at a Fashion’s Night Out event at a Bloomingdales in Chicago, IL.

And designer Nicole Richie attended a Fashions Night Out celebration at The Beverly Center in Los Angeles.

“I mean I technically wore a ring but I don’t think I was really engaged,” Ebanks told celebrity gossip columnist Rob Shuter. “I want a Prince. I want Prince Harry. Do you think the queen would accept me?”

And as far as kissing she gives Cannon a “meh” but was less enthusiastic about his other, most private asset giving it an even less passionate “meh.”

Ebanks, who is now one of the top earning models in the industry, says she knew she was beautiful at just 6 years old. Sitting in front of her mother’s vanity and catching a glimpse of herself she said, “Oh, I could make some money,” and boy was she right. Now she’s making millions, modeling Victoria Secret’s signature Angel wings — which she says protect her.

“Well if you’re an angel those other bitches don’t mess with you,” Ebanks dishes. “Behind the scenes you do hear snide remarks. I’ve heard girls literally talk about another girl in her face, and literally if she had claws she would be minced meat.”

And although she says she doesn’t judge other people, she does has some advice for larger ladies.

“Listen, I love voluptuous women, what bothers me is when they wear spandex. Don’t wear spandex ladies if you are over size 16. Just because it comes in your size does not mean it’s for you. As women we can wear whatever we want, be sexy but just know the difference, everything has a time and place.”

Selita Ebanks shows off her sexy figure inside the pages of the August 2011 issue of FHM UK Magazine, where the supermodel talks about her shoe obsession, appearing in Kanye West’s “Runaway” film and what it feels like modeling underwear worth $1 million for Victoria’s Secret.

What was it like being the Phoenix?

“It was such a strange character that it was almost like an out of body experience. It was also very stressful. Partly because we filmed 21 hours a day and partly because Kanye’s vision was so out of the box that the video was a real hit or miss idea. I did not want to be the reason it became a miss.”

Your outfit ensured it was a hit for us…

“Yeah, it wasn’t very substantial, but to be honest I didn’t really worry about it, as I was more concerned about the character and I am really free spirited about my body. For me the most nerve-wracking thing about the outfit was persuading my grandmother that I was actually wearing something, as since the feathers were nude she thought I was naked.”

How did you prepare for kissing Kanye?

“I didn’t. There was no, ‘Okay. Breath check,’ or anything it was just like: ‘Okay sweetie here are your lines, now kiss me.’ So it was very weird and more than a little awkward because it was my first onscreen kiss and Kanye is a good friend of mine. Fortunately the lighting was really dark, so that made it less intense.”

Do you still hang out with Mr. West?

“He hangs with me, darling. I’m only kidding. Our schedules mean we don’t see a lot of each other, but we had dinner at the Cannes Film Festival. It was good to catch up about work and his album.”

We hear you need a maths degree to count how many pairs of shoes you own.

“I stopped counting a long time ago. I don’t want to sound pretentious, but I reckon I have over 300 pairs. I do donate some to charity, but others I’ve had for over ten years and love so much I simply can’t let go.”

So are shoes the best way to your heart?

“Let me tell you something. If a guy bought me a limited edition of the fiercest, highest heels straight from the runway then I would be in love so yes, shoes are the quickest way to win me over. Absolutely.”

Co-stars Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks met up on the red carpet of the premiere of their new movie “Larry Crowne” at Grauman’s Chinese Theater Monday afternoon (Jun 27) in Hollywood. Serena Williams‘ BFF Selita Ebanks recently paid a visit to the Wendy Williams Show and was asked about Serena and Common’s rumored “secret engagement” that allegedly occurred over the Holidays. And while reps for Serena Williams continue to deny the engagement rumors, Ebanks played coy when Wendy Williams grilled her on her friend’s rumored engagement.

“I’m the best friend, and I wouldn’t be the best friend if I told you, so I don’t know … #KanyeShrug” Selita jokingly told Wendy, later adding: “You know what, he would be smart if he did marry her. So, he’d be a very smart man.”

Jay-Z and Coldplay helped the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas celebrate its grand opening at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Day (Sat. Jan 1) with a live concert held inside the hotel’s Marquee nightclub.

During Jay-Z’s set, he invited Chris Martin from Coldplay and musician John Mayer to the stage, as well as rapper Kanye West to perform alongside him. Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce also sang a duet of his “Forever Young” song later in the evening. Some of the celebrity attendees at the event included Alex Rodriguez, Brandy, Taraji P. Kanye West gave his “Runaway” mini-movie its big premiere Saturday night (Oct 23) on MTV.

The nearly 35 minute visual co-stars model Selita Ebanks and features several track from Kanye’s upcoming album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (due in stores November 22nd). The video also features a Phoenix (played by Selita Ebanks), a huge Michael Jackson head, tons of fireworks, a lot of ballerinas and an opening scene narrated by Nicki Minaj (in her British accent).

Finally some good news for Poison frontman Bret Michaels! The rocker turned reality television star walked away Sunday night (May 23) as the winner for the latest installment of NBC‘s “Celebrity Apprentice” over his opponent, actress Holly Robinson Peete. This comes just one month after Michael suffered a brain hemorrhage and just days after being re-admitted to the hospital for a warning stroke.

As a prize for winning the show, Bret received $250,000 to donate to a charity of his choice: The American Diabetes Association. And since both Bret and Holly did so well in the final challenge, Snapple decided to donate $250,000 as well to The HollyRod Foundation, Holly and her husband’s own charity for autism.

Shortly after the “Celebrity Apprentice” Season 3 Finale, an after-party was thrown to celebrate Bret’s win at Donald Trump‘s hotel in Soho, New York City. In keeping with hosting events in the name of charity for Haiti, supermodel Naomi Campbell threw a fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2010 Friday night (Feb 12) in New York City.
