Sandy “Pepa” Denton Throws Launch Party for Her New VH1 Show “Let’s Talk About Pep”

Sandy “Pepa” Denton, Jacque Reid, Joumana Kidd and Kali “Kittie” Troy posed for a group pic on the red carpet of the launch party for Pepa’s new VH1 reality series “Let’s Talk About Pep” at Quo nightclub in New York City Tuesday night (Jan 19).

Let’s Talk About Pep is a real life comedy following Sandra “Pepa” Denton of Salt-n-Pepa fame as she emerges from several years of romantic and sexual dormancy, brought on by some seriously lousy relationships. Now she’s ready again to search for love and action in the capital of hooking up, New York. She’s joined by three friends also trying to negotiate the romantic minefield of NYC.

Here’s the sitch: After years of celibacy–yes, real bona fide celibacy, as in ‘the kitchen is closed’– Pep has realized that giving up sex actually got her nowhere. She didn’t “evolve,” she didn’t land a rich husband, and the only close relationship she formed was with her exercise bike. Pep is now single and determined to get back in the game–but only with the right men. And she’s turning to her support group of friends as they all try to figure out this whole sex-n-love thing.

Actress Gabrielle Union sat with Miami Heat basketballer Dwyane Wade at the Zo Summer Groove Publix charities benefit dinner titled “Deco After Dark” in Hollywood Saturday (Jul 11). No, not THAT Hollywood … the one in Florida. Oh, you didn’t know there was a Hollywood in Florida? You learn something new every day!

But anyway, we would have loved to know what was really going on when this pic was snapped. Is D.Wade giving ol’ Gabby the side-eye? Sure does loo like it!

Chilli from TLC & Pepa from Salt N Pepa Land their Own Reality Shows

R&B singer Chilli of TLC fame has signed with VH1 to star in her very own reality show about her search for love. Chilli will have help from Tionna Smalls, a relationship expert, while she searches for a mate.

Also, rapper Pepa of the hip-hop group Salt-N-Pepa has also landed a deal with VH1 for her own reality show where she also will be looking for love after being celibate for four years. According to the NY Daily News, Pepa will meet with 3 of her single closest friends over brunch each week to discuss both the highs and lows of the past week.
