Solange – “Favors”

Solange is currently in the studio with super producer Pharrell Williams putting the finishing touches on her third album. And to hold fans over, she recently released a song called “Favors,” a previously unreleased track she wrote four years ago while recording her “Sol-Angel and The Hadley St. Dreams” album.

“‘Favors’ is no way related to my album,” Solange tweeted, making it clear that this song doesn’t reflect the sound of her new project.

Trey Songz – “Whoever Else”

Trey Songz continues to show off his rap skills (of which he’s very fond of) in his newest music release “Whoever Else,” a cut from his “#Lemmeholddatbeat 2″ & “Anticipation 2″ mixtapes (both dropping Nov 1st).

Nick Cannon – “I Remember”

Nick Cannon takes a moment to reflect on a number of things, including his rise to fame, as well as his children, his wife Mariah Carey and his beef with Eminem on “I Remember,” a song Cannon posted to his site yesterday.

“Don’t forget where you’ve come from, and you’ll never lose sight of where you’re going,” Cannon wrote on NickCannon.com.

Romeo – “N**as in Paris (Freestyle)”

Not too long ago Jim Carrey professed his love to Emma Stone over the Internet, then Kathy Griffin parodied that by professing how much she loves Justin Bieber.

Now “Dancing with the Stars” alum Romeo is telling the world how much he loves starlet Demi Lovato by means of an on-camera conversation he had with a RumorFix.com camera man.

“Next time y’all see Demi Lovato, tell [her] Romeo said, ‘Hi,” the rapper/actor said. “Demi Lovato, if you see this, this is me proposing to you right now. I don’t got the ring, but that’s nothing. You know, I listen to Beyonce’s song, when she said ‘put a ring on it,’ so I got you!” he continued.

As if that wasn’t enough, he further added, “So, Demi, if you’re ready, we’ll have the craziest wedding — and that’s all I’ve got to say, a $50 million wedding. If I get the right chick, it’s worth it, right?”

So what in the world brought this gush of emotion out of Romeo? “I met Demi Lovato probably, like, three years ago, before she was who she was. She had a nice smile.”

Romeo is confident that he’s the right man for Demi too. “First off, once you go black, you don’t go back,” he laughed. “We got a few toys at the house, we’ll have the best wedding. I’ll keep her out of trouble…That’s all that matters. She needs a strong, solid man”.

Romeo, Raven Symone, Jill Marie Jones, Brandon T. Jackson and Brian J. White all posed for photos on the red carpet of the 21st Annual NAACP Theater Awards.

The 2011 BET Awards went down in Los Angeles last night (Sun. Jun 26) … and the green carpet was JAM PACKED with celebrities! So many, that we’re going to have to split this post into 2.

Some of the big names who graced the green carpet outside the Shrine Auditorium in L.A. included Nicki Minaj, Kelly Rowland, Meagan Good, host Kevin Hart, Eve, Ashanti, Nick Cannon, YouTube sensation “Karmin,” Nelly, Bruno Mars and dozens of others.

Romeo and his dance partner Chelsie Hightower were the seventh couple to be eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars” on Tuesday night (May 10).

The 21-year-old actor/rapper was voted off the show after his Monday night routine earned him the evening’s second-lowest total, with 52 out of 60 possible points.

After his elimination, Romeo said, “I’m surprised because that was one of my best dances last night. But at the same time I’m not surprised, because of the competition this year. To be honest, I feel good. If this was last week, my head would be down. It’s one of those things. If you go out with a bang, you have no regrets. I gave it 110 percent yesterday.”

Romeo also disclosed that in addition to his father Master P, he had a few celebrity supporters, including Miley Cyrus and Will Smith, throughout his time on the show.

“Will Smith, he watched me every Monday and he gave me inspiration by saying, ‘Go out there and give it everything,” he said.

“[Miley] said her and her mom was voting for me. I don’t know about Miley, but her mom was voting for me! A lot of my friends. My dad called me every morning after the show and give me inspirational words, tell me that he’s proud of me no matter the outcome, how you’re a winner in my eyes.”

So why did the rapper never dance before? He explained, “I was terrified of it … I didn’t even dance at my own prom.”

At the end of the evening, Romeo took to Twitter and tweeted:

“I was taught to never hold your head down if u go down fighting giving 100% & thats what I did! This #DWTS journey has def. been magical.”

Still in the running for the DWTS trophy are Kirstie Alley, Chelsea Kane, Ralph Macchio and Hines Ward.

Black Hollywood came out in a big way Wednesday night ( May 4) to support the release of Sony Pictures’ newest film “Jumping the Broom” at the ArcLight Cinemas Cinerama Dome in Hollywood. The film’s stars, including actresses Paula Patton, Angela Bassett, Tasha Smith and Loretta Devine, as well as actors Romeo, Laz Alonso, Pooch Hall and Mike Epps all came out to catch the big premiere.

Other celebs, like Meagan Good, Christina Milian, Eva Marcille, Teyana Taylor and plenty more, were also spotted on the white carpet of the movie premiere. “Jumping the Broom” hits theaters tomorrow (May 6), but until then, check out the pics from the Hollywood premiere below!

Lots of celebrities participated Friday night (Feb 18) in the annual Celebrity All-Star Game. The all-star line-up included Trey Songz, Rob Kardashian, Romeo Miller, Rick Fox and others repping for the West; and Nick Cannon, Common, Scottie Pippen and more representing for the East Coast.

In the end, the East came out victorious (54-49) with Justin Bieber (from the West) scoring the coveted MVP trophy (as voted by the fans). Also spotted at the 2011 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game were Magic Johnson, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom.

The 10th Annual Jack in the Box Celebrity Shoot-Out went down over the weekend (Sat. Jan 29) in Arizona. Celebs like Chris Brown, Common, Terrence J, Frankie Muniz, Romeo, Pooch Hall (from “The Game”) and more competed against one another in the match, held at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ.

Brown’s team, which included Common, Frankie Muniz and Pooch Hall defeated Romeo’s team, consisting of Terrence J, DJ Clue and fitness guru Billy Blanks. In addition, Chris Brown was named MVP of the game. Proceeds from the shootout were donated to Phoenix Suns Charities and Suns Nite Hoops.

Master P and his son Romeo are getting ready to put on a free basketball camp for over 1,000 kids, who will get an opportunity to meet retired NBA players Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Mark Jackson. The “Game of Life Basketball Camp” is designed for children ages 7 – 16 and will feature basketball lessons from the former NBA champs, who will also teach the campers the importance of good health and mental well being.

“This will be an experience that these kids will remember for the rest of their lives. My basketball coach help save my life, hopefully I can do the same for this generation,” Master P told AllHipHop.com.

Romeo also commented on the camp:

“The purpose of the camp is to allow children to have the opportunity to exercise their bodies and their minds…just because you come from a low-income community it doesn’t mean you can’t strive to be better,” Romeo stated. “We are hoping that with our camps we can inspire these kids to have vision, follow their dreams and believe in themselves. They need to know that education is essential and that they do have options.”

The free camp will hold its first session this weekend (Sat. Jun 26) at 8 AM at Pasadena High School in Pasadena, CA and will be followed by a celebrity basketball game scheduled to kick off at 4 PM.

ROMEO PICKS COLLEGE BASKETBALL OVER FILM ROLE » Rapper/actor Romeo has reportedly passed up on the opportunity to star in a film so that he can focus 100% of his time on his freshman year in college. The young entrepreneur will be attending and playing basketball USC (University of Southern California) in the fall.

According to a press release from an outlet called “Hollywood Movie Report,” the actor was supposed to star in “Sweetwater,” a biopic about the first African-American player signed by the NBA. But the release stated that “he could not appear in a film related to basketball and remain eligible to play for his college team due to NCAA regulations.”

Sunset pictures, the production company behind the film, says that they fully support Romeo’s decision and has plans on working with him after he completes college in 2012.

SCOTT STORCH’S MIAMI MANSION UNDERGOING FORECLOSURE » How is that a person can be responsible for so many hit records, and have so much money, but have nothing to show for it? Well just ask Scott Storch how he did it! Word on the sidewalk is that the hit-maker is on the verge of losing his $10 million mansion to SunTrust. According to the Palm Beach Post, Storch reportedly took out two loans with SunTrust worth a combined total of $7.75 million to purchase the house, and now the bank is foreclosing on it because he has not made payments in several months, despite borrowing close to 200 g’s from close friends.

In addition to possibly losing his home, the guy has a warrant out for his arrest for not paying child support. Kids, just because you make millions doesn’t mean you have to spend ALL of it on a damn house! Not to mention the jewelry, the cars, the clothes, and the hoes. After you go through all of that, and you stop making the money … yeah, you’re gonna end up broke, in debt, and running from the law … just like Mr. Storch. Did he not learn from MC Hammer???

DMX PLEADS “NOT GUILTY” TO IDENTITY THEFT » This DMX guy is a character, I swear. It has been reported that the cracked out rapper decided to use yesterday’s court appearance in Phoenix as an opportunity to plug an upcoming album that no one probably even cares about. After pleading not guilty to felony charges of theft and identity theft, he left the hearing and rapped: “If you ever fall down, get back up,” he rapped. “Drop something, stop fretting, pick that … back up, stand for something or fall for everything, wait for the right pitch or miss with every swing.” The 37-year-old rapper, real name: Earl Simmons, is due to appear in court again on August 12th to face charges of drug possession and cruelty to animals, stemming from an incident in May of this year. Somebody just needs to lock his ass in jail and throw away the key. He’s apparently a danger to himself and the people surrounding him.

I know I might catch some flack for this but real talk, Tameka looks like she’s at the show with her three sons! Anyway, the 2008 Kids’ Choice Awards went down Saturday night in L.A. and you know all of the adult stars brought their kids to Nickelodeon’s annual awards ceremony. Every year around this time, the KCA’s honors the year’s biggest television, movie and music acts, as voted by kids who watch Nickelodeon.

Now this is one reality show I’ll make sure to be tunning into most definitely! Romeo is doing it so big right now, I ain’t even mad at him, especially with the production of his forthcoming reality show Romeo’s World. It looks like it’s going to be interesting – I didn’t know he went to a regular school?!

Uh-oh, are we gonna have to schedule a trip to Maury? The latest rumor in the “Spearsgate” saga is that rapper Romeo could be the father of Jamie Lynn Spears’ baby. Crazy, huh? Word is going around is that Jamie Lynn may have been carrying on a secret relationship with rapper, and according to the New York Daily News, the two have been dating for some time.

Poor child. First off, she’s a pregnant teenage celebrity. Now there’s a chance that she doesn’t even know who the father of her child is! What’s really goin’ on in this crazed world we live in?

Rap mogul Master P and his son Romeo (collectively here as the Miller Boyz) have set out on a journey to change the landscape of hip-hop through their new, clean-lyrics label, Take A Stand Records. With Hip-Hop History, the label’s first release, the duo prove once again that they are a force to be reckoned with. P’s self-reflective “My Life” lays much of the grand-work for the album while radio-friendly “Be Like U” bursts forth from the record with enough intensity to top the charts.
