In the shoot’s accompanying interview, Robin Thicke‘s muse talks about what it was like on the set of her latest movie “Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol,” in which she stars alongside Tom Cruise. “I was doing physical stunts – feet in the mud, fingernails full of dirt, shooting and fighting for my life,” she says.

As for her husband Robin Thicke and her in-laws, she says, “Canadians are a lot like us, actually. I’ve figured out how to blend in.”

R&B crooner Robin Thicke paid a visit to “Chelsea Lately” last night (Mon. Dec 19). While there, the singer, who had apparently just downed some scotch backstage, freely talked about his new album “Love After War,” what it’s like being a new dad and more.

Thicke also joked with host Chelsea Handler during his uninhibited interview. “I think I’ve just blossomed into a lotus flower … I’ve finally become a woman,” he quipped, before explaining how lack of sex inspired his song “All Tied Up.”

The 2011 Soul Train Awards were held in Atlanta at the Fox Theater last Thursday night (Nov 17).

Hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, this year’s Soul Train Awards saw appearances from a variety of celebrities, including R&B singer Keri Hilson, model Amber Rose, actor Lance Gross, NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey from the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Tamar Braxton, our blogger friend Necole Bitchie (who won the award for Best Soul Site — CONGRATS!!), and many more.

R&B singer Robin Thicke and his smokin’ hot wife, actress Paula Patton, spent a relaxing afternoon together on the beach in Miami yesterday (Sun. Jul 10).

The pair are currently in town for the American Black Film Festival, where Paula (who currently stars in “Jumping the Broom”) talked about a couple of her upcoming film features.

“I have Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol coming out Sept. 21, and working with Tom [Cruise] was the best experience. There is a reason he is one of the best movie stars ever, because he works so hard and he is so kind to everybody. I learned a tremendous amount working with him,” she told The Root.

When Quincy Jones released the remake to Michael Jackson‘s popular song “P.Y.T.”, MJs fans were none too thrilled.

The auto-tune heavy re-make will be on Jones’ upcoming tribute album Q: Soul Bossa Nostra (in stores Tuesday), and features T-Pain and Robin Thicke on the vocals. In an interview with our friends over at Rap-Up.com, Jones hits back at the “haters” who criticized the track, adding that they “don’t have a life.” Check out what he said below…

“Today with Facebook and Twitter and everything, I have never seen so many haters in my life,” the 77-year-old legend exclusively tells Rap-Up.com. “But it’s people sitting in their basements with their pants on the ground, just being haters. I don’t get it, man. That means they don’t have a life.”

Mr. Jones also said that he has no problems with the way the song was re-made and that both T-Pain and Robin Thicke volunteered to lend their voices to the track.

“The freedom in music is do what you want to do,” he shares. “I don’t think anybody should sit there and say you shouldn’t do that or you shouldn’t do this. That’s not up to me to say. They volunteered. I didn’t choose them. I didn’t produce this. Six years ago, Timbaland came to me with one of his assistants in South Beach and said, ‘We’d like to do a hip-hop tribute to all your old songs.’ I said, ‘Great, man. That’s a very big honor ’cause I’ve worked with a lot of the hip-hoppers anyway and have always been behind them. I just sat down with guys that were my friends and they called and asked me questions and so forth. I’m there for them, but I said use your own voice, but make it better than the one we did.”

And just yesterday, T-Pain took to his Twitter to hit back at critics who disagree with the “P.Y.T.” remake as well.

“For all the ppl that hate mr for ruining pyt just stop listening to my shit. But if Quincy jones tell you he want you to do something, no matter how much shot you know ur gonna get from the dumb asses in the world, you god damn do it. The fucked up thing is everybody being so kind to mj after he’s gone, but how can you wish a man to rest in peace when you never gave him peace in a life time? I had the pleasure of meeting MJ and when I left his house I got a call from his lawyer telling mr that MJ wanted me to remake that song. So everybody that’s being overly disrespectful, you don’t have to like me at all, but you also can keep that bullshit to yourself. Like I said I’m making it my job to stay positive on twitter but this is why the image of my ppl is so fucked up cuz we all are to envious and jealous of each other to get passed anything. While his wife Paula Patton is busy filming a new movie, R&B singer Robin Thicke is learning all there is to know about being a good dad to their newborn son Julian Fuego. And he says he’s having fun every step of the way!

Speaking on his new responsibilities as a father, the 32-year-old crooner told People:

“I’ve gotten to spend a lot of time with the baby lately, learning how to be a dad. I look forward to every day with him, watching him grow and learn … I want to teach him basketball and Al Green. I want to teach him Michael Jackson and all that fun stuff.”

But just because wifey has her hands tied with her new movie, it doesn’t mean Robin is all alone with raising little Julian.

“We got some good friends and family, some grandmas helping out. I did change a couple of diapers. And then I got tired of that. I like doing the holding and the playing more.”

High school sweethearts Robin Thicke and Paula Patton welcomed Julian into the world back in April and celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary last month.

R&B singer Robin Thicke sings about getting it in in the morning in his new Snoop Dogg featured music video “It’s in the Morning.” The Gil Green directed music video was shot in Malibu.

“It’s about romance and love in the morning, you know,” Robin told Idolator. “Obviously, it’s gotta be love because if you’re still there in the morning time, then it means you really like them. So it’ll be romantic and sweet.”

R&B crooner Robin Thicke had to pull out of his performance in Los Angeles Tuesday night (Apr 6) as the opening act for Alicia Keys for “personal reasons.” Turns out, his wife, actress Paula Patton was having their baby!

Robin and Paula welcomed their first child, a boy, named Julian Fuego, into the world Tuesday, as confirmed by People.

“Mother, father and son are all doing well,” says Thicke’s rep. The crooner had canceled his portion of Tuesday night’s show at the Staples Center for “personal reasons.” But his tour mate, Alicia Keys, offered her congratulations from the stage.

A big congratulations goes out to Paula and Robin, who will celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary this June. Paula, 34, is also featured on the cover of the May 2010 issue of Ebony Magazine, where she talks about her relationship with Robin, 32, and their new baby, among other things.

R&B singer Melanie Fiona took to the stage recently on “Walmart Soundcheck,” and performed a medley of songs from her debut album The Bridge, including “Ay Yo,” “Bang Bang,” “Give it to Me Right,” “Monday Morning” and her latest single “It Kills Me.”

In related news, Alicia Keys spoke to our friends over at Rap-Up.com and had this to say about why she chose Melanie Fiona and Robin Thicke to open for her on her “Freedom” tour:

The music video for “We Are the World: 25 for Haiti” debuted Friday night (Feb 12) during the opening ceremony for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

This version of the song, featuring vocals from Justin Bieber, Jennifer Hudson, Lil Wayne, Janet Jackson, Miley Cyrus, Jamie Foxx, Mary J. Blige, Kanye West, T-Pain, Usher, Wyclef Jean and much more, is much more contemporary than the original but it fits today’s music era. The song’s original writer and singer Michael Jackson also appears in the song and video (his sister Janet sings the first chorus with footage of Mike thrown in). They also kept one of MJ’s original parts and show footage of him singing it (Nice!).

The 25th Anniversary recording features over 80 artists and performers. The recording of We Are The World 25 For Haiti embodied the same enthusiasm, sense of purpose and generosity as the original recording 25 years ago. Every one of the artists who participated, regardless of genre or generation, walked into the room with their hearts and souls completely open to coming together to help the people of Haiti.

It seems as if everyone is jumping on Nicki Minaj‘s bandwagon these days! According to MTV News, Jay-Z was so impressed with the Young Money rapper that he went out of his way to recommend her for Robin Thicke‘s new single “Shakin’ It 4 Daddy.”

“It was Jay’s idea,” Thicke said of the “Shakin’ It 4 Daddy” collabo. “We were in the studio and I played him the whole album. He was like, ‘You should get Nicki Minaj on that. She’s got that voice. She’s got that swag.’ So I leaned over and was like, ‘Somebody get Nicki Minaj on the phone! Jay-Z said so!’ Next thing you know, we called Nicki. She was excited. But once we told her it was Jay-Z’s idea to get her on the track, she started screaming on the phone. She was all excited. She’s a super, super talent. I can’t wait to do a video with Nicki. There’s a power in her. It’s not just that she’s sexy and that’s the only way she can get you to like her. She’s got charm — not just sex. Soul singer Robin Thicke and his beautiful wife, actress Paula Patton, revealed they will be having a baby boy! We reported back in October of this year that Paula and Patton were expecting.

Paula stars in in the recently released award winning movie “Precious” and Robin has just released his 4th album Sex Therapy. Thicke admits his wife and highschool sweetheart is the inspiration behind his new album. The two first-time parents are taking some time to gather their thoughts on parenthood and working out the last few jitters regarding Paula’s pregnancy. Robin is afraid of not being patient enough, but most of the time he is scared or worried about the future.

“I want to work on that. But my biggest fear is being able to be there, because I don’t know if kids ever think if their parents were there enough.”

The couple are expecting their baby boy in May of 2010.

The 2009 Soul Train Awards, hosted by Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard, were held earlier this month (Tues. Nov 3) at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta and were aired last night (Sun. Nov 3) on BET. We posted the arrival photos shortly after the show was recorded at the beginning of the month and here are the pictures from inside the show!

Folks like Robin Thicke, Ludacris, Keri Hilson, Fantasia and more performed. Trey Songz and Toni Braxton opened up the show with Braxton’s new single “So Yesterday” and ended their performance with a big ol’ passionate smooch on the lips! Toni says it was all planned and her husband knew about it well in advance so any speculation about that causing the separation between she and her husband is reportedly false.

Black Hollywood came out in droves Sunday night (Nov 1) to support the AFI Fest 2009 Screening of the new movie “Precious,” which stars newcomer Gabourey Sidibe and actress/comedienne turned late night talk show host Mo’Nique.

Some of the big names who walked down the red carpet of the big Hollywood event, held at were Oprah, Tyler Perry, Queen Latifah, Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon, Mary J. Blige, Will Smith and much much more.

High school sweethearts Robin Thicke and Paula Patton are having their first child as confirmed by their publicist Thursday (Oct 22).

Paula had recently revealed to Giant Magazine that she had stopped taking birth control over the past few months in hopes that she would get pregnant. Patton said she been on the pill since she and Robin tied the knot back in 2005.

At the 2009 Angel Ball, Robin said that he was lucky to be married to a woman like Paula.

A gushing Robin Thicke tells UsMagazine.com, “She could make a marriage work with a chair. She’s an incredible woman, and she’s very beautiful, so I’m just lucky to be with her.”

R&B singer/songwriter Alicia Keys played host to her sixth annual Black Ball to benefit the “Keep A Child Alive” AIDS organization Thursday night (Oct 15) at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. The huge celebrity guest list at the event included Halle Berry, Usher, Samuel L. Jackson, Nick Cannon, Tyler Perry, Robin Thicke, Mary J. Blige and more. Alicia performed with John Mayer at the event, and also premiered her new song “Sleeping with a Broken Heart.”

Take a listen to “So Cold,” a new song from Chris Brown. Brown confirmed via his Twitter page that the track, produced by Polow Da Don and co-written by Ester Dean and Teyana Taylor, will indeed be featured on his upcoming third studio album, Graffiti. He just hopes his album doesn’t leak:
