Pop singer Rihanna is apparently back to work on a new album, despite all of the drama surrounding her life at this very moment. The paparazzi spotted her on her way to a recording studio in Santa Monica, CA over the weekend.

Rihanna paid a special visit to 6-year-old Jasmine Anema, one of her biggest fans who is suffering from a rare and agressive form of leukemia and is currently being treated at NYU Medical Center in New York. According to People, little Jasmine could hardly believe her eyes when her idol walked into her hospital room April 2nd.

“She’s really here!” Jasmina exclaimed when Rihanna came in, shoeless, to prevent the spread of germs, and hugged her. “You are such a beautiful little girl,” the singer told Jasmina, who has a rare and aggressive form of leukemia.

High doses of chemotherapy often leave Jasmina tired, says Katharina Harf, executive vice president of DKMS Americas, the bone marrow donor registry that is helping Jasmina and others find a match. “But when Rihanna walked into the room, there was no sign of that at all,” she says. “Jasmina loves Rihanna. And Rihanna fell in love with Jasmina.”

Rihanna’s face is what you’ll see on the May 2009 issue of Vibe Magazine where they go in on the alleged fight between her and boyfriend Chris Brown, which occursed on February 8th 2009, exactly 2 months prior to today’s date. We think it’s a little too soon to be making this situation a “cover story,” unless you’re a tabloid like Star, Enquirer, etc. Accredited and respected publications like Vibe know better. Or at least we thought they did.

Some of the biggest names of the celebrity entertainment world, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Rihanna, have teamed up with Parlux and Jay-Z’s Iconic Fragrances to launch a series of new celebrity fragrances, beginning in summer 2010 with the launch of Rihanna and Kanye’s signature scents. Parlux’s CEO Neil Katz confirmed the news to People.com, adding that a yet-to-be-announced “well-established female artist” will join the trio. And no … it’s not Beyonce.

For his part, hip-hop mogul Jay-Z is looking forward to the to expanding his empire, saying in a statement, “We are excited for the opportunity to partner with Parlux and their management team in the launch of these dynamic new brands.”

Parlux’s CEO Neil Katz continues, “We are extremely excited to begin work on our projects with Rihanna and Kanye West. Each is an extremely highly regarded celebrity at the top of his or her profession who is undoubtedly going to make an indelible impression in the fragrance industry, just as each has done in the entertainment world.” And it seems that the stars are just as confident about the impending success of the scents. In an unusual move, they will receive payment in royalties, profit sharing and Parlux stocks rather than cash. And while there’s no word yet on who the mystery artist is, Parlux dismisses the idea that the star in question is Beyonce.

We believe this is the first time Rihanna has been photographed with a seemingly genuine smile on her face since the alleged fight between her and Chris Brown. She was spotted in good spirits as she spent Thursday evening with her girls, including her good friend and assistant Melissa Ford (pictured above) in the West Village in New York City. No, Rihanna hasn’t gone and got herself a pair of “real” guns. If she did, we’re pretty sure a certain someone would be somewhere peeing his pants right about now. In the midst of all of the drama, confusion and just outright chaos, Rihanna went and got some new ink. She reportedly flew in tattoo artist Bang Bang all the way out to L.A. to get a tattoo of two guns on each of her ribs. Bang Bang says she originally wanted them on her shoulders, but decided to put them in a location a tad bit more discreet.

“She loves the gun tattoo. She got the tattoo last Thursday, March 19,” Bang Bang tells Life & Style.

“She flew me out to LA for the day because she was getting a tattoo for one of her friends as a birthday gift. She’d been toying with the idea for a while to get another tattoo. I’ve done other tattoos for her; I added stars to the ones she already had. So when I was done with her friend, we talked about what she wanted to get. She was doing research on what would look good, and I drew up a couple of things on the back of her arm, but they weren’t the perfect one.

First the STD rumors, then the pregnancy rumors and now they’re saying that Chris Brown and Rihanna may have a series of tapes featuring kinky acts from the pop princess we all know as Rihanna.

In the March 30 issue of Star — on sale now — we report that Rihanna allowed Chris to record some of their, um, intimate moments and — she worries that the racy tapes could ruin her — especially after seeing how quickly Chris turned on her once before. “Rihanna has no issues with her sexuality,” a source tells Star. “But she’d be mortified if her friends and family found this out!”

Pop singer Rihanna (sans the dark shades she’s been wearing since the “incident”) hit up Les Deux nightclub last night in Hollywood with a group of girlfriends. RiRi and four of her friends partied it up in a private area of the club for about three hours and we hear among the group of girlfriends was fellow pop singer Katy Perry. After their little outing, TMZ reports that the group of ladies got pulled over by the LAPD for having no front licence plate and dark tinted windows. Meanwhile, Chris is crusing around Beverly Hills on the passenger side looking like a sick little boy.
