Actress Raven-Symone‘s new sitcom “State of Georgia” on ABC has been cancelled!

Former child star Raven-Symone’s TV show State of Georgia has been axed after just one season on air.

The Cosby Show cast member played the lead in the ABC comedy drama about an aspiring actress who leaves America’s south in a bid to make it in Hollywood.

But on Friday, TV executives cancelled the show due to disappointing viewer figures.

Bosses at ABC have renewed programs including Make It Or Break It, Switched At Birth, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and Pretty Little Liars.

Celebs were front and center last Wednesday night (Jan 5) as they attended the Covergirl 50th Anniversary Celebration at BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood, CA.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE magazine, the actress revealed that she was just as confident being heavy.

“I thought I looked fabulous before and nobody else did. So, whatever.”

Now that she has lost weight, Raven says the worst part about all of it….is being the center of attention.

“Actually, now I wear bigger clothes because I don’t like the way people stare at me. I liked it before. Now, you’re just looking at me for the wrong reasons. Before, you were actually looking at me for a real reason.”

But through it all, the former Disney star has managed to stop stressing so much…..which played a big part in her weight gain.

“That’s what stress does to you. I’ve been not stressing. I’ve been in my own house, decorating and finding hobbies.”

Tinker Bell, most known as the fairy in Peter Pan, was named the “Honorary Ambassador of Green” by the United Nations (UN) and actress Raven Symone was on hand to celebrate the occasion.

Raven plays a character named “Iridessa” in the new “Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure” DVD, which was released to stores today. In a recent interview, she spoke about the new movie and how this particular Tinker Bell story is directed at boys as well as girls:

The underlying story of friendship is universal. And it really is a story that appeals to everyone, boys and girls and young and older. There is a great boy character, Terence [voice of Jesse McCartney]. And Tinker Bell is really a guy’s girl, a best friend, not overly tomboy but very adventuresome. She is also humble and she messes up — she’s a normal person with wings!

Is she pregnant? Did she just have a baby? Short answer … no. According to a statement released by her representative, actress Raven Symone is neither pregnant nor did she give birth.

“Raven-Symoné is not pregnant nor did she give birth,” her rep tells PEOPLE.

That much should be evident when the 23-year-old actress and singer-songwriter takes the stage Thursday night at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J.

Numerous media outlets have claimed that Raven-Symoné had been hiding a pregnancy, and the stories reached a fevered pitch earlier this week with reports that the former Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper star had gone on to deliver a healthy baby girl.

Her latest album, the self-titled Raven-Symoné, is in stores now.

Young starlet Raven Symone released her fourth studio album this week, please make sure you go out and support her buying the album!! It features stellar production from Sean Garrett, who will also be dropping an album later on this year, Oak and Mario (of the Knightwritaz) and of course The Clutch!!

Lordy, I have to honest, I got a little worried about that Double Dutch Bus single, I know Raven getting her money but c’mon now … she is too grown! However, HOWEVER this album is the epitome of grown, sexy, WOMAN-she’s woman now. So yeah, that Double Dutch Bus single is misleading indeed, there are no kiddie Disney fillers — thank Baby Daniel‘s royal pimp hand!

Overall I would say Raven Symone’s new eponymous album is a good buy; and a nice birthday gift or something. There are a few bangers, with Sean Garrett, and some nice ballads. My favourite tracks would have to be Anti-Love Song, Love Me Or Leave Me, In Your Skin and Keep A Friend.

Actress/singer Raven Symone is featured on the cover of the latest issue of JET Magazine. I’ve always wondered to myself why Raven won’t step outside of the Disney persona and become a more mature artist, to fit her age a little more. But after reading the quote below, I can see why! Unlike the rest of these child stars, who grow up to be Lindsay Lohans and Britney Spears’s, she actually has a pretty solid head on her shoulders:

”I have to stay true to who I am’, says Disney star Raven-Symoné, 22, regarding her new self-titled CD, which is slated for release April 29. ‘I am not going to sing about sex, drugs and violence, that’s just not who I am’, she continues. College Road Trip is an upcoming film produced by Walt Disney Pictures. The movie will star Raven Symone (also serving as executive producer) as a college-bound teen named Melanie Porter, who goes on a road trip to different colleges with her father, a police officer, played by Martin Lawrence. I think ‘Double Dutch Bus’ was produced by The Clutch becos I hear their trademark in the beginning plus Danja is all over this track, lol!

US Magazine recently released a list of the top 10 most powerful girls in Hollywood, and R&B singer Rihanna and actress and Disney star Raven Symone snagged the 3rd and 9th spots, respectively. Rihanna’s “Umbrella” was the song of the summer, spending seven weeks at the top of the charts, but the singer says she’s not done yet: “I’m looking at getting into film, and I’m working on my own businesses.” Raven Symone, who has just launched Ravensymonepresents.com, has been dubbed the $400 million woman by Ebony for the estimated revenue her “That’s So Raven” show has brought Disney.
