Musical genius and R&B singer R. Kelly has made a remix to Mariah Carey’s, “Touch My Body”. R. Kelly told us he was “coming back” but only a year ago, Double Up, came out. R. Kelly first single from his upcoming album, 12 Play: Fourth Quarter, is called “Hairbraider”. I wonder if he’s gonna show up on every major remix this year like the last. Mariah Carey’s new album, E=MC2, is in stores now!!!

The minute I heard DJ Khaled on the radio play this song, and said it was new music from R. Kelly, I went to searching! Apparently the song is called Hairbraider, produced by Tha Bizness, and it’s from Kells forthcoming LP 12Play in stores June 2008. The song is still classic R. Kelly but modern day with the Autotuner. Lol, hey, at least he didn’t overdo it like someone who shall remain nameless (Sean).

GEORGE DANIELS, MAXINE DANIELS AND R KELLY

Maxine Daniels - the 21-year-old woman stuck in the center of R. Kelly’s latest sex scandal, and the daughter of George Daniels, and the step-daughter of Reginia Daniels - has taken her story to the Chicago Sun-Times in an attempt to defend herself and her parents against accusations stated in a press release issued Monday by Kelly’s camp.

“The statement that was issued by R. Kelly’s camp to TMZ, which I interpreted as an attempt to defame Regina and George Daniels, my dad and stepmom, has made it necessary for me to respond to some of those accusations. I take full responsibility for my actions. My stepmother and father didn’t know about my relationship with the singer because I knew and he knew that they wouldn’t approve … so I tried to keep it a secret, but when my stepmother found out about our relationship, she resigned because she felt that Rob had ‘crossed the line’ by dating a girl that he has known since she was 7 years old. My stepmom was not fired for incompetence. She was Rob’s publicist for 14 years and always considered Rob not just a client … but family. And Rob thought of my dad like a father.

I am 21, smart and will be graduating from college this year, but I admit that I was swept up by his charming and generous ways, which I truly regret and have learned from. My brief relationship with Kelly last year ended because my parents were starting to hear rumors that we were together, and I was beginning to feel like it wasn’t a healthy situation, especially with the pain it was causing me and my family. I felt that it just wasn’t right. Also, in reference to my birthday party, which was held last spring, Regina did not push Rob to host the party. We both asked him … and he readily agreed. In regards to the cell phone number, Regina didn’t give me Rob’s number and she didn’t ask me not to tell my dad. Rob personally slipped me his number at another event and that is how we started talking. The Internet has been rampant with all sorts of rumors for months now and hopefully this will clear things up. I admit I made a mistake and I know I am not the first young adult to make a serious misjudgment.”

In response to the same press release on Monday in which a member of Kelly’s camp accused Regina Daniels of seeking “a healthy six-figure settlement from Kelly to go away quietly,” Regina Daniels said: “It sounds good, but it NEVER happened. I never contacted R. Kelly or attempted to contact R. Kelly or anyone in his camp regarding any money or any financial settlement or severance.”

Looks like R. Kelly is in some more trouble. As usual, it involves him and that over-active sex drive of his. You know, the one that only allows him to mess with girls under the age of 20. But anyhow, George Daniels, who is the husband of R. Kelly’s former publicist, Regina Daniels, spoke out against the Chicago-bred singer, accusing that Kelly had an “inappropriate” relationship with his daughter, Maxine, who Daniels claimed the singer had known since she was “a little girl.” Here’s what Robert’s people had to say:

It’s hard to take seriously the moral outrage expressed by George and Regina Daniels over R. Kelly’s relationship with Mr. Daniels’ adult daughter, Maxine. The fact is that they had no problem with the relationship — indeed, they encouraged it — while Ms. Daniels was on Mr. Kelly’s payroll. It was Regina Daniels, then working as a publicist for Mr. Kelly, who persuaded him to attend her step-daughter’s 21st birthday party. And it was Regina Daniels who shortly thereafter gave her step-daughter Mr. Kelly’s private phone number, with the admonition: ‘Don’t tell your father.’ It was only after Ms. Daniels resigned her position to avoid being fired for incompetence that her stepdaughter’s relationship suddenly became an issue for her and her husband.

As if a pending court case for several counts of child pornography, R Kelly has been hit with yet another lawsuit … this time around by ex-tourmate Ne-Yo!

Ne-Yo and Compound Touring Inc. filed a suit Monday (Dec. 31) against Rowe Entertainment Inc., the promoter of R. Kelly’s “Double-Up” Tour, for firing the singer after two shows as the opening act for Kelly. The suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleges breach of contract and violation of the right of publicity. The suit maintains Ne-Yo, born Shaffer Smith, was to be paid $785,000 for opening the 25-stop tour alongside singers Keyshia Cole and J. Holiday. The outing began Nov. 14, and Ne-Yo was fired prior to the third show on Nov. 19 and is still owed $735,000. Compound Touring and Smith are seeking unspecified damages.

“Plaintiffs allege that an unknown representative of R. Kelly urged Rowe to terminate Smith from the tour given the audience’s and critics’ more favorable reaction to Smith than the reaction to R. Kelly,” the suit states. Compound Touring spent “substantial monies in preparation for the tour and turned down other touring and performance opportunities for Smith in reliance on Rowe’s agreement that Smith would perform on the tour,” according to the suit. According to YAHOO! News, a Chicago woman who snapped photos of R. Kelly in a courtroom with her cell phone has pleaded guilty to contempt of court after spending the weekend in jail. 49-year-old Jean Johnson was sentenced to five 5 days in jail after entering the plea Monday, but she was released after Judge Vincent Gaughan gave her credit for the days she had already spent in custody. Lucky for her, she had violated her probation and already had served a little time in the clinker. The judge also ordered her cell phone destroyed.

Describing herself as Kelly’s “biggest fan,” Johnson said she couldn’t resist snapping four grainy pictures of the R&B superstar as he sat across from her last Thursday. She said she didn’t realize cameras weren’t allowed in courtrooms.

“I feel stupid,” Johnson said. “I just got carried away. I’m a big fan of R. Kelly. I wanted it so that every time my phone rang, I could open it up and he’d be right there.”

Those damn camera phones are the devil, lol.

After years, and years … and years of delays and setbacks, R Kelly’s trial date has been set for May 9, 2008. The trial had previously been scheduled for September 17, 2007 but was postponed early that month because the lead prosecutor had recently given birth.

Kelly also avoided having his bond revoked Friday morning. According to MTV News, Cook County Judge Vincent Gaughan had threatened to do so after scolding the singer for missing a hearing on Wednesday after his tour bus was stopped in Utah for a speeding infraction. An arrest warrant had been issued for the R&B singer, who avoided going to jail when he showed for a 9 A.M. court date on Thursday, but Gaughan threatened to revoke the bond anyway. Such a lucky guy.

Also on Friday, Gaughan considered forcing Kelly to call off his U.S. tour but didn’t follow through with the punishment. Gaughan said he decided on leniency because of the “unintended consequences” of canceling such an event, including disappointing fans and a loss of income for venue workers. This dude must be giving Lady Luck “the business!”

I wonder what’s gonna happen when May hits. I’ve already accepted the fact that this fool isn’t gonna see any jail time anytime soon, but you never know. Your thoughts?
