R&B crooner R. Kelly performed in concert Friday night (Oct 16) at New York City’s famous Madison Square Garden.
According to a review from the show, a fan threw her panties up on stage and in true R. Kelly fashion, he returned the favor and threw his own underwear into the crowd and told her that she could keep them.
At one point during the set, a woman in the audience threw her panties at Kelly’s feet. The singer picked them up and said something about “reciprocation.” After a stagehand brought a dressing screen onto the stage, Kelly disappeared behind it and emerged a few minutes later holding his own underwear, which he then threw into the crowd (presumably at the female who donated her panties). “Let her keep those,” he told security. Like all things involving R. Kelly, it was both bizarre and wonderful.

From the two tracks we’ve heard so far, it seems that Whitney’s new album is shaping up really nicely. We love the song and even though she doesn’t go into crazy notes like she used to, her voice still sounds amazing. It’s definitely good to have some real talent back in the game. Hopefully she will see the huge success she deserves with this album.

In other Robert Kelly news, he’s in hot water with police due to his alleged involvement in some kind of investment scam. A Durban woman named Busisiwe Priscilla Zakwe implicated Kelly in the so-called scam that allegedly swindled money out of more than 50 people, most of whom were pensioners. State prosecutor Blackie Swart wrote a letter to Jason Miller, Kelly’s agent, earlier this year with requests that the singer explain his involvement in the scam, but apparently he didn’t receive any kind of response.
