Those court documents turned out to be phonies … and Pleasure P has since denied the reports and released a statement saying:

“All of the recent rumors and accusations that are being circulated about me are 100% false. They are disgusting and vile; and they are being spread by individuals with their own sick agendas. The purported documents that are also being circulated are forgery.”

Now Marcus “Pleasure P” Cooper, moving on from the nearly career-ending accusations, has released a set of promotional pictures as he prepares to release new music. The pictures, taken by photographer Tyren Redd, show the R&B crooner shirtless and smiling on the beach.

“Well, the new album is really about love and romance,” Pleasure P told Hip Hollywood about his upcoming album. “I think that’s missing from music nowadays. I’ve been working on it for like a year and a half now. It’s good to be getting back out here. I’m still on Atlantic records, we got a whole new beginning coming for me.”

Speaking on the album’s collaborations, Pleasure P continued, “You definitely may be seeing a Lil Wayne collab. I have a song called Nino Brown and I have a Drake sample in it but me and Drake are going to do something really soon. We actually got the opportunity to exchange songs with each other but he is going for a different sound now, so we have to agree on certain things, but its definitely going to take place.”

R&B singer Pleasure P hit up the Ed Lover Morning Show to attempt to clear his image of those nasty child molestation rumors that came out about a week ago. As time goes on, more bullsh*t comes out (for one, the dates on the “documents” are all off) which goes to show that you can’t believe EVERYTHING you hear/read on the internet.

We actually feel pretty bad for running with the original story but you live and you learn. Take everything you hear (no matter WHERE you hear it from) with a grain of salt. Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.

Anyway, Pleasure P (real name: Marcus Cooper) discussed his 3 Grammy nominations and the effect this crazy story had on his career and his personal life. He and the morning show hosts also discussed who might be behind the the allegations (read: Pretty Ricky!)

On if he believes his former Group Members are behind the rumors
I can’t say that I feel that I do and I can’t say that it ain’t them but we are going to get to the bottom of it. We are investigating it and we will reveal who the perpetrator is real soon.

Lawyer: I don’t like to point fingers publicly, we are above that but I can say that I’m certain I know where these rumors came from. I just can’t talk about it right now because there are legal proceedings going on that that might effect.

Pleasure P: Honestly I don’t want to talk about Pretty Ricky. We don’t have no relationship where I can sit back and talk about Pretty Ricky. I just want to keep it moving and everything on the positive. I have been nominated for three grammys. It’s bee a tough road. These are the things an artist has to go to. It’s a part of me becoming successful. Two successful tours and now I’m nominated for three grammys.

On How The Rumors started:
It actually came from a no-face blogger, a person that don’t exist on the internet. A person who won’t show their face just decided “I’m going to put out some false information about Mr. Pleasure P. We dealing with it right now. I took off the R. Kelly tour just to deal with this issue. It’s a very serious matter and it could happen to anybody. It could happen to you. That a person put something out there like that and people actually believing it”.

On If he has an idea of who is spreading this rumor
It could be person(s), I’m not saying that i really know who it is. We are getting to the bottom of this and that’s why I’m not on tour. I’ve been nominated for three grammys and I haven’t been able to celebrate that. The same day as my nominations came through, I had to deal with this.

On Where He Was When He First Heard About It
I was just getting off the stage or on the bus. People started calling me, then I checked my twitter and people are like “I want to burn your cd” and I’m like “are you serious, for something that’s not even true”. Then I took off the tour and came to New York to deal with it.

On If It could possibly have some truth in the rumor
It’s out of left field. It’s done. it’s something that never happened

On if the names on the documents were actually family members or people he knew:
(Lawyer steps in and speaks). You gotta look at it this way. How do you defend yourself against a lie on the internet. It’s virtually impossible. The only thing that this unnamed person has come forward with are these documents and if you look at them they don’t make sense. They are cobbled together. There are different documents. We don’t know if they are real or not, I think they are phony. I don’t think anyone has really looked at them or read them. They have the name Marcus Cooper on them, they have the name Joseph Smith and Mariah Johnson but they don’t say anything about child molesting. And it wouldn’t make sense for documents that are from a family court, for anyone to be able to publish them because the law requires that these stay sealed for the safety of the minor children. The courts would never in a million years release documents like that and that’s how we know these are phony.

On it being the price of fame
I’m gonna be honest, I told my publicist Sydney “blogs don’t talk about me, I’m not worried about no blogs”. I got what I asked for but not in a positive way. They see me and Bria around all the time together and say “oh now he’s dating her” and it could be a big part of it too. I don’t know..

On how it is effecting him personally
If someone tried you like that and you can’t do nothing about it. I feel real hurt about it. I feel like I never got the chance to enjoy the fact that I got nominated for three grammys. Someone took that moment in my life from me. When I am 50 and I think back “Remember In 2009 when I was nominated for three grammys, I had to deal with…” I will always have to remember this situation as I go through life.

So it looks like Pleasure P has finally broken his silence on the headlines surrounding his name right now, and it’s looking like home boy is in major denial. Either that or someone is damn good at putting out a story.

Friday afternoon the R&B singer updated his Twitter with a link leading to his official statement:

The following statement was issued by Marcus Cooper p/k/a Pleasure P through his attorney Robert Meloni, Meloni & McCaffrey, P.C., 1515 Broadway, New York, NY10036; Email: r.meloni@m2law.net; Tel: (212) 520-6090.

“All of the recent rumors and accusations that are being circulated about me are 100% false. They are disgusting and vile; and they are being spread by individuals with their own sick agendas. The purported documents that are also being circulated are forgeries. I have never met or known anyone by the name of “AGoldstein” or Laura Goldstein or Ashley Goldstein, which I believe are fictitious names. I have never been represented by an attorney named Goldstein. For someone to go to such depths to assassinate my character and slander my good name is truly criminal. My attorneys are investigating this matter and will take all necessary and appropriate action to protect my name and reputation.”

Dang, they gave a phone number/address and everything! They still get the side-eye though for denying the “rumors.” Something about this just isn’t right…

Wow, just when you thought 2009 wasn’t going to get any crazier!!

An explosive story just broke out about up and coming R&B singer and former Pretty Ricky member Pleasure P and it’s not looking too good. It’s quite disturbing if you ask us!

Pleasure P. (real name: Marcus Cooper) has been outed as a repeat child molestor and the victims were 4 years old and 3 years old. And to make matters worse, they were his own niece and nephew! Rumors are circulating that this is the reason why he left Pretty Ricky back in 2007. In fact, he was allegedly KICKED OUT of the group but the label and management decided it’d be best to tell the world that he just wanted to go solo.

But why is this story coming out all of a sudden? Well, because home boy couldn’t pay his bills apparently! The law firm that represented Mr. Cooper is pissed because they have not been paid. Their daughter hit up a blogger on Twitter with all of the dirty, filthy, disgusting details!

My dad was being paid to cover it up but they owe my dad a lot of money and don’t want to pay him. I first overheard my dad say that it was someone famous but I found out who he was talking about.

This guy Pleasure P got kicked out of a group bc he was hiding that he was a child molester. his managers or whatever hired my dad to keep it quiet so he could get a record deal

The guy Pleasure P molested a 4 yr old child and was about to molest another one when police came and saved the child. Now, the truth is out they’re threatening my family nd telling my dad he’s going to get sued. But they can’t because its a crime.

FreddyO says he spoke with someone who confirmed it to him as well:

I was lost for words on this whole situation, until I spoke with someone who I cannot name, that is very very very close to Pleasure P, they told me: “Yes all this Sh-t is true, not only that but one of the peps he touched was his on fam …. NEPHEW….. thats not right” He then said: “I knew all this would come out in time, their is so much yall dont know but all these allegations are completely true.”

The person also told me that Pretty Ricky has never really spoke about why Pleasure left the group…

And someone sent in a very detailed letter to Necole Bitchie, and even though the dates are a bit off, the facts are all 100% correct!

I know you heard a lot about the whole “Pretty Rickey/Pleasure P” child molestation drama. Well I am VERY close to the situation and BOTH parties and I want you to understand that it is ALL true. Not speculation or anything. He was convicted. The problem lies in Blue Star Entertainment, the label that housed and groomed Pretty Ricky. They paid a substantial amount of money to have these documents sealed back in 2006. The label wanted to keep the aura of Pleasure in the group and figured since he was signed basically for life that they would recoup the cost. Well, this was not the case as the other members of Pretty Ricky started separating themselves from Marcus “Pleasure P” Cooper as time went on. This eventually lead to them riding in separate cars to shows, arguing amongst themselves to them even jumping him (Pleasure P) at one point. This lead to him leaving the group but he is still very much contracted to Blue Stars Entertainment for 5 albums.

Here’s what happened: When he was 16 going on 17, he was left alone with his niece and nephew with whom he touched and penetrated with fingers on several occasions. His aunt noticed his niece complaining of her genital area hurting, when asked what happened she replied “Uncle Marcus keeps touching me and he hurt me”. Of course Marcus (Pleasure P) denied the allegations but the doctor found signs that she had vaginal damage and tearing. Charges were then pursued by the State of Florida.

The incident happened in 2004 going into 2005. He served like 8 months, rehab and community service by time the trial came up. Marcus accepted a plea with the State of Florida and Joseph Smith who is the care giver of the niece and nephew which Marcus “Pleasure P” Cooper molested. These are not the only papers filed against him. These are the first of 3. As part of the plea agreement Marcus plead guilty and paid an “undisclosed amount” to remain free and have the records “sealed” and on the family level for them to remain quiet and not to speak publicly about it. The “sealed document” means nothing other than “we won’t tell anyone it’s here..but if they find it they can have it” basically. The problem also is that Attorney Goldstein (Who represented Marcus “Pleasure P” Cooper in the trial) has a daughter named Laura Goldstein who is also her fathers assistant. Marcus Cooper never completed his payments after the hearing to his attorney.

Attorney Goldstein tried to reach out to Marcus only to be told “Don’t call this phone no more” on several occasions. This caused frustration on Attorney Goldstein’s ends due to the time & effort he put into this “special plea bargain” he negotiated that I don’t think ANY attorney could have done. After Attorney Goldstein threatened to sue Marcus Cooper the “alleged threats” became real from Coopers end. I have personally heard these messages and I know who they are from and they are very disturbing. Especially to an attorney who can use them against you.

Laura Goldstein felt her father was not doing enough to stop the threats as they began to increase so she took to twitter (her twitter is @AGoldsteinGirl) to “expose” Marcus “Pleasure P” Cooper in a way that was sure to make him “go away”. Now all the documents from the initial hearing have been released and there is plenty more evidence out there I assure you. Everyone involved including Spectacular (Pretty Ricky) have commented via twitter on the documents in shock thinking they would never get out.

The next problem is whether Laura Goldsteins father will have to pay the ultimate price of getting disbarred for breaking Attorney Client Privilege or will it be deemed public domain? I don’t know, but I do know both parties and its about to get ugly. I will keep you up to speed if anything else jumps off.
