Lots of celebrities, including daughter-mother duo Solange and Tina Knowles, LaLa Anthony, Kim Kardashian, Estelle, Eve, and many others, came out to support songwriter Denise Rich‘s Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research benefit Monday evening (Oct 17) at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

Other celebs spotted at the event were Naomi Campbell, Patti Labelle, Natalie Cole, Star Jones and Anthony Hamilton.

The 33rd Annual UNCF Evening of Stars gala was held Sunday evening (Aug 14) in Pasadena, CA and featured red carpet appearances from Keke Palmer, Pooch Hall & Coby Bell from “The Game,” Lance Gross, Tatyana Ali, Musiq Soulchild, David Banner,  and many others.

During the ceremony, R&B acts like Musiq Soulchild, Miguel, Ledisi, Erykah Badu, Estelle, Jill Scott, Marsha Ambrosius and more, including music legend Patti Labelle, hit the stage and performed.

R&B legend Patti Labelle, recipient of BET’s annual Lifetime Achievement Award, was honored during last night’s BET Awards with performances by Cee-Lo Green, Marsha Ambrosius and Shirley Caesar. Ms. Patti even performed some of her own hits including “Lady Marmalade.”

No one says “goodbye” like Oprah!

A bunch of the media mogul’s most famous friends, including Beyonce, Stevie Wonder, Jamie Foxx, Alicia Keys and many more packed into the United Center in Chicago for “Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular,” a star-studded send-off for the legendary talk show host.

Beyonce kicked off the festivities with a performance of her new single “Run the World (Girls),” which was followed by a poem recital from Maya Angelou (accompanied by Alicia Keys on the piano), a performance from music legend Aretha Franklin, an appearance from Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, a performance from Usher and more. The event also featured appearances form many other celebrities, including Tyler Perry, Tom Hanks, Maria Shriver (Arnold Schwarzenegger’s estranged wife), Simon Cowell, Patti Labelle, Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes and tons more.

“Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular” will air on television today (May 23) and tomorrow (May 24).

The Holidays are always a good time to help the less fortunate. On Wednesday (Dec 15) Singers Jay Sean and Patti LaBelle and TV personality Sherri Shepherd joined forces to feed New Yorkers for The Food Bank For NYC.

The event was held in Harlem and brought smiles to many faces in need. Jay Sean, Patti and Sherrie were all set up with sanitary food gloves and aprons and handed out meals and hugs to all who came. Good on them!

Tyler Perry‘s newest film “For Colored Girls” premiered this week in New York City. And stars from the movie, including Janet Jackson, Kerry Washington, Thandie Newton, Kimberly Elise and others, walked the red carpet and posed for pics outside before making their way into the Ziegfeld Theater to catch the premiere.

Paying homage to legendary R&B singer Prince, newcomer (and Bad Boy Records recording artist) Janelle Monae hit the stage and performed one of Prince’s hit songs “Let’s Go Crazy.” After her very animated performance, Jazz bassist Esperanza Spalding took to the stage and sang “If I Was Your Girlfriend,” which was followed by a performance from R&B singer Alicia Keys who performed “I Adore” and surprised everyone (including Prince) when her pregnant self climbed on top of the piano to finish off the performance. Last (but most certain not least) came R&B legend Patti Labelle who sang “Purple Rain” and kicked her high-heels off at the end of her act.
