A fan took to Twitter to ask the one-time talk show host if she was “frazzled” by her OWN network’s performance thus far, as it has struggled with ratings since its launch on January 1st.

“Nope, not frazzled. And I have faith that if I do what I’m supposed to — allow it to serve my purpose, and you, the viewer — it will succeed. Everyone in the cable business told me it would take 3 years. Some said 5. I’ve been here a week”, she responded.

She later took to her Facebook page and admitted, “I will say this; it’s 10 times harder than doing my daily show. Doing that show felt like breathing everyday. Now I’m in so many meetings I sometimes have to step out and catch a breath.”

The Lifetime Achievement Award winner never got where she is today by letting the little things phase her.

“But I see every challenge as an opportunity. So no shortage of opportunities here,” she says. “I know the same is true for your life. My experience is a network, yours is whatever is calling you right now. Get clarity. Don’t allow yourself to be overwhelmed. Don’t be defeated by mistakes. Learn from them. We have a new motto … ‘The next right decision’ … what is it?”

If anyone can make a success of something, it’s Oprah!

Over the recent weeks rumors have been rife that Oprah Winfrey will be conducting an interview controversial former NFL star O.J. Simpson over his alleged recent confessions for the murders of his wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman.

But don’t get your hopes up too soon because reps for Harpo Productions tell The Hollywood Reporter: “It’s not true.”

However, Oprah said of Simpson at an event in Chicago last week: “I have a dream of O.J. Simpson confessing to me. I am going to make that happen, people … I don’t just want the interview. I want the interview on the condition that you are ready to confess, Mr Simpson,” she continued.

In 1995 Simpson was acquitted of the double murders of both Goldman and Brown. He was later found guilty of wrongful deaths in a civil proceeding and also planned to “admit” to the murders in a book called “If I Did It…” But the book never saw the light of day after it sparked outrage, forcing the publisher to cancel its release.

O.J. is now currently serving a 33 year prison sentence for his part in a 2007 robbery at the Palace Station Casino in Las Vegas for sports memorabilia.

Oprah Winfrey may have just wrapped up her 25-year network talk show run , but there’s one thing she is willing to come out of retirement for ……. a confession from OJ Simpson!

On Thursday, Winfrey told Paula Zahn at the NCTA Cable Show at Chicago’s McCormick Convention Center:

“I have a dream of OJ Simpson confessing to me. And I am going to make that happen, people. I don’t just want the interview … I want the interview on the condition that you are ready, Mr. Simpson.”

Well there you have it people … if OJ owns up to what he did, Oprah just might be the one to cover it.

Legendary author/poet Dr. Maya Angelou recited an original poem, while R&B singer Alicia Keys accompanied her on the piano during the second part of Oprah Winfrey’s all-star tribute “Surprise Oprah! A FarewellSpectacular.” The gorgeous Ms. Keys dedicated her empowering anthem “Superwoman” to the iconic talk show host, who seemed to be hanging on the song’s every word.

No one says “goodbye” like Oprah!

A bunch of the media mogul’s most famous friends, including Beyonce, Stevie Wonder, Jamie Foxx, Alicia Keys and many more packed into the United Center in Chicago for “Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular,” a star-studded send-off for the legendary talk show host.

Beyonce kicked off the festivities with a performance of her new single “Run the World (Girls),” which was followed by a poem recital from Maya Angelou (accompanied by Alicia Keys on the piano), a performance from music legend Aretha Franklin, an appearance from Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, a performance from Usher and more. The event also featured appearances form many other celebrities, including Tyler Perry, Tom Hanks, Maria Shriver (Arnold Schwarzenegger’s estranged wife), Simon Cowell, Patti Labelle, Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes and tons more.

“Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular” will air on television today (May 23) and tomorrow (May 24).

Everyone knows that Maria Shriver is going through a difficult time right now. Earlier this week, news broke that her cheating ass husband of 25 years, former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, had fathered a child with a member of the family’s household staff over a decade ago.

However, Shriver isn’t using the heart-wrenching scandal as an excuse to retreat from the spotlight. In fact, she was one of the many celebrity guests who attended Oprah Winfrey’s finale on Tuesday evening.

Shriver seemed to issue a subtle comment on her husband’s actions during the show as she commended her friend for decades of tireless work:

“For more than 30 years you have bestowed upon me the most amazing friendship … You have shown love, support, wisdom, and most of all—the truth.”

Luckily for Maria “The Truth” is out now….it always has a way of setting itself free.

R&B sensation Beyonce was just one of the many surprises for Oprah Winfrey yesterday afternoon as she rocked the stage performing her latest single “Run The World (Girls)” for the very first time as part of Oprah’s  “Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular” show.

This past Wednesday (May 11), outgoing Windy City mayor Richard Daley honored the legacy of his city’s greatest daytime personality, Oprah Winfrey, by naming a block in front of her Harpo Studios “Oprah Winfrey Way!”

“Your presence in Chicago has been a gift,” the mayor told Winfrey, 57, at the unveiling ceremony, adding that she is “a great ambassador for our city.”

Winfrey, who came to the city in 1984 to host A.M. Chicago, declared the honor “better than an Oscar or an Emmy.”

“It is really just a full circle, miracle story,” said Winfrey, “that a little colored girl born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, on a red dirt road ends up with my name on a street in the greatest city in the world, Chicago.”

Congrats O! Your ultimate plan of world domination is coming full circle one street at a time!

Time Magazine recently revealed their Time 100 for 2011, the magazine’s eighth annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world, which includes Canada’s biggest pop star, one of America’s biggest TV stars … and a “Gossip Girl”-turned-big screen leading lady.

Hollywood notables littered the coveted list this year, including Justin Bieber, Chris Colfer, Blake Lively, Oprah Winfrey, Amy Poehler, Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, Colin Firth, “Mad Men” creator Matthew Weiner, Prince William and Kate Middleton, Bruno Mars, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg and designer Tom Ford.

“From the minute I met Justin, I knew this kid possessed a certain confidence that only a star could have,” Usher told Time of his friend and pop protégé, Bieber. “What’s interesting and will keep the world watching is that at the same time he’s having this incredible success, he’s like any other kid living a normal life.”

A lot of powerful people on that list. Oprah alone probably makes what half of the entire list makes in a year.  Sweet!

The name Oprah Winfrey is synonymous with greatness ….  so it should come as no surprise that White House spokespersons and Harpo publicists recently confirmed that President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will tape a joint interview in the Windy City on April 27 for Oprah to air on her show on May 2nd.

It will be the Obamas’ first appearance together on the daytime talk show since 2006, though each has been interviewed by the billionaire media mogul multiple times since Obama took office in 2008.

Winfrey’s syndicated talk show officially wraps on May 25th.

If you’re going to go out, you might as well go out in style. And no one is more stylish than our nation’s smooth talking commander-in-chief.

Media mogul Oprah Winfrey never got to where she is today without being business savvy. Where there’s money to be made, O’s already made it! So it’s no surprise that Oprah is charging $1 million dollars for 30-second commercial slots during the airing of her series finale.

But some find this price a bit much, even for Ms. Winfrey. PopEater.com responded to the news by saying:

Take into account the fact that the ‘Oprah’ finale will air during daytime, not primetime, and the reported $1 million price tag is pretty staggering.

Our guess is it’ll be a good investment and publicity for all involved on the day! Oprah’s final show airs May 25th, and it is estimated that she will pull in AT LEAST 20 million viewers.

Back in 2008, daytime talk show queen Oprah Winfrey announced that she was publicly supporting Barack Obama for president, which shocked many TV insiders who had always thought it best for talk show hosts to keep their political views to themselves.

Now with President Obama officially getting his 2012 reelection process underway, PopEater’s Rob Shuter reports that this time around Oprah’s support will be much more private.

“For 2012, much has changed for Oprah. She now has own cable channel called OWN that has been struggling to find an audience — she isn’t going to do anything to alienate them,” a TV insider tells me. “Unlike in 2008, when a drop in ratings didn’t matter as much for the queen of TV, Oprah is now fighting every day to get people to tune into OWN.”

Winfrey’s daily talk show ratings dropped in 2008 after her highly publicized political rally for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, which wasn’t a big deal back in those days. But now that she has her own network, things have changed.

As much as Oprah may still love the smooth talking President, don’t expect to see the same public support you saw in 2008.

“Helping a friend keep the most important job in the world is great, but making sure her OWN network thrives is now her priority,” Shuter’s source continued.

You can’t even blame the woman. She can’t do anything for anyone if the money stops rolling in. Get your mula O!

With Oprah Winfrey’s iconic talk show set wrap at the end of this season, for her final episode, the billionaire mogul is set to give a gift the whole world can truly enjoy.

The NY Post reports that Winfrey’s wish is to give  fellow billionaire Donald Trump and other celebrity guests on-air makeovers in an episode before she takes her final bow. Trump may want to take Oprah’s style advice if he’s serious about his reported presidential bid.

As the invite to appear on Oprah’s show reportedly noted, “This will become one of those historical television moments that will become iconic.”

You can never go wrong when you side with O. Just ask Barack Obama. He won.

According to the Associated Press, the final original episode of Oprah Winfrey’s hit daytime talk show “The Oprah Winfrey Show” will air Wednesday, May 25. Harpo Productions, the talk show host’s production company, confirmed the date Friday (March 25).

After her final show, Winfrey will turn her focus and attention to her new cable network, OWN (The Oprah Winfrey Network.), which officially launched on Jan 1st.

Speaking on the decision to end her longtime talk show, Winfrey had this to say:

“I love this show. This show has been my life. And I know when it’s time to say goodbye. Twenty-five years feels right in my bones and feels right in my spirit.”

Those billions in her bank account probably keep her spirit feeling right as well. The world is definitely gonna be different with the Oprah Show though.

Are you going to miss it?

Not only is she a tenured professor at Mississippi Valley State University, Oprah Winfrey’s first cousin Jo Baldwin is also an ordained minister who preaches at not one, but TWO churches each and every Sunday.

Seeing as this is O’s first cousin, chances are the mogul was well aware that Ms. Baldwin was a deeply religious woman when she hired her to be her  personal speechwriter back when her now hit Oprah Winfrey Show first debuted.

After performing such a bang up job,  Baldwin was promoted to VP of O’s production company Harpo Inc. And as Baldwin explains to Gawker.com,  2 years after the promotion the honeymoon ride was officially over:

“When I received my PhD in 1985 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Oprah asked me where I was going to work,” said Jo Baldwin in the summer of 2010. “I said I would be applying for a position at Ebony magazine as a copy editor. Oprah said she did not like Linda Johnson Rice [owner of Ebony] and I should come to work for her instead. So I did.”

“I was to work for her for three years, but she fired me without notice after two years… I heard from someone later that she got rid of me because she got tired of me talking about Jesus all the time… Oprah preferred the teachings of Shirley MacLaine’s books, such as Dancing in the Light and Out on a Limb, which Oprah made me read but I didn’t think much of.”

Willow Smith is one lucky 10-year-old!

The rising Pop star took over “The Oprah Winfrey Show” yesterday (Tue. Mar 1) by serving as co-host and debuting her new single. Willow was a part of a special episode that focused on the world’s most smartest and talented kids, and she performed a medley of her smash hit “Whip My Hair” and her latest single “21st Century Girl” to show off her talent.

Willow also chatted it up with Oprah for a quick second about a number of topics, including touring with Justin Bieber, meeting Lady Gaga, her closet size and more.

What does “Whip My Hair” mean?
First of all, whipping my hair is the new, “I am me.” I don’t know what you are doing but I’m me. It’s an anthem about being yourself and not caring what other people think about you. Just do what you feel is right for you.

I think I incorporate it in all that I’m doing because when you’re on the stage, you’re playing to the crowd; you’re acting toward the crowd. You’re giving them the face, so that they scream.

Michael Vick was scheduled to make an appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” this week, but at the last minute, pulled the plug!

The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback was supposed to sit down on Oprah’s couch for an interview to air next Thursday (Feb 24) but a spokesman for the show said the football player’s reps called late Tuesday to cancel his appearance for “personal reasons.”

“After careful consideration, I will need to postpone the taping of the Oprah Winfrey interview scheduled for February 22. I admire and respect Oprah and hope to be able to participate in an interview in the future,” Michael Vick said in a statement.

The interview, which was to cover Vick’s time in prison, his work with the Humane Society and his return to the NFL, was said to objected by Vick’s team. However, the Eagles say they had nothing to do with their QB’s decision to cancel on Oprah.

“We were supportive of him doing it and we’re supportive of him not doing it. We’re supportive all the the way through,” Eagles spokesman Derek Boyko told USA Today Thursday (Feb 17). “I think he just changed his mind,” Boyko, who says he’s not sure why Vick canceled, continued.

Why do you think Michael Vick canceled on Oprah?

Even though it may not seem like it at times…Stedman Graham isn’t the only guy Oprah Winfrey has spread her love to over the years.

In an interview with Gawker, one of the talk show host’s ex-lovers revealed how the two were at one point an item and could have even taken it to the next level.

“I remember how she loved taking candle-lit baths before going to bed. We took lots of them together. We spent many nights together in her new condo which she loved so much. I would be watching TV and she would be working on her next day’s show. ..Besides going to restaurants for lunches and dinners, to stores to buy gifts for employees and friends—-Oprah is generous with stuff-we would go to the Bears games because I was friends with one of the players. We occasionally had dinner with Michael Jordan and his wife, Juanita, or with Danny Glover, [Oprah's co-star in The Color Purple.]

I noticed a few times she would bring up the subject of marriage and ask me if this was something I believed in. I think at that time Oprah was ready to take the plunge, and I was the chosen one… but I wasn’t interested in getting serious…. Oprah took me to her mother’s house for dinner in Milwaukee and that’s where I met Jeffrey, her gay brother [who died of AIDS in 1989]. Oprah said to him, “You stay away from this guy. He’s mine.”  Haitian filmmaker Reginald Chevalier stated.

But unfortunately, Reginald and Oprah’s love-fest came to an end after he returned from a business trip to find out all the locks at her home had been changed and his belongings were boxed-up.

“I had been out of town on a modeling assignment and when I returned to the Water Tower condo, my key wouldn’t work. The concierge informed me that the locks had been changed. Oprah had left a box for me filled with all my belongings. On a yellow envelope she had written: ‘Sorry, things aren’t working between us. Oprah Winfrey.’ That was it. No phone call. No good-bye. Nothing. She was as cold as ice…. A few weeks later Stedman was on the scene—full time.”

Jennifer Hudson has finally opened up about the shocking October 2008 murders of her relatives.

The award winning actress and singer made a guest appearance on “The Oprah Show” yesterday (Thur. Feb 10), and spoke about a number of topics, including losing 80 pounds, her new family life with her son and husband, and coping with the loss of her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew. While Hudson still refuses to go into detail about what actually happened, she did talk to Oprah about how she got back on her feet and what keeps her motivated to this day.

Hudson, who is currently prepping her sophomore album I Remember Me for a March 22nd release, also performed her newest single “Where You At.”

Oprah Winfrey made a shocking revelation yesterday: that she has a long lost half-sister! The 56-year-old TV titan proudly introduced her sister Patricia, who was given up for adoption by their mother when Oprah was only 9 (back in 1963), to the world on Monday’s (Jan 24) episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” Oprah and her sister met for the very first time (in person) on Thanksgiving Day.

Seeing as Oprah is one of the richest people in the world, one would assume that Patricia’s first line of business would be to sell her story to a national magazine or some sort of tabloid for a large sum. However, that was not the case when it came to Patricia.

“All Patricia wanted was the truth,” an insider told our buds over at Pop Eater. “She wasn’t interested in selling her story even for a million dollars. She just wanted to know who she was, where she came from and if she had any brothers or sisters. She had no idea when she started this search she would end up being Oprah Winfrey’s half-sister.”

“No one knows what the future holds for the family. Patricia doesn’t want a dime from Oprah and certainly wasn’t going to take money from a tabloid whose offers are now pouring in,” the insider continued.

Just to put things in perspective, an interview with Oprah’s new-found half-sister would be worth around $1 million dollars, according to an influential tabloid editor.

We have a feeling just because Patricia respected her sister’s privacy and reputation, the Big O is going to look out for her in a BIG way. Probably even much more than $1 million dollars worth!

Oprah Winfrey has been hyping up a huge family secret over the past week or so, and the cat is finally out of the bag: Oprah has a half-sister that she had NO IDEA about until just a few short months ago! The TV titan made the big announcement on a pre-recorded episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” that aired Monday morning (Jan 24).

As she introduced America to her half-sibling Patricia and her two children Andre and Aquarius, Oprah teared up, recalling that her “new family” didn’t sell her out to a tabloid when they discovered they were related to her over 3 years ago.

“What is so extraordinary about Patricia and Andre and Aquarius is that they have known this secret since 2007,” Oprah told her live studio audience. “There have been few times that you can bring anybody new into your life and not have that person in some way betray you or use you or take advantage of you.”

Find out exactly how Patricia and Oprah found out they were half-sisters below:

Forty-seven years ago, when Oprah Winfrey was 9 years old and living with her father in Tennessee, her mother became pregnant with a daughter who was given up for adoption. Winfrey had known nothing about it.

Patricia was born in 1963 in Milwaukee and lived in a series of foster homes until the age of 7. She was then adopted, but said her childhood was “difficult” and she longed to be reunited with her birth mother, Winfrey says. When Patricia was 17, she had a daughter, Aquarius, and then six years later son, Andre. She was unwed and as a single mom worked two jobs to care for her kids.

When Patricia, whose last name was not revealed, turned 20, she first tried to find out who her birth mother was but quickly gave up the search. Then a few years ago, she resumed the search and got her adoption records. Through the adoption agency, Patricia reached out to her birth mother, whose name she still didn’t know, but her mother did not want to meet her.

The very day, she happened to catch a TV news story about a woman named Vernita Lee, who was talking about a son, Jeffrey, who died in 1989, and a daughter, Pat, who had died in 2003. The information matched details in her adoption records. “The hair on the back of my neck stood up,” Patricia said. “I said, ‘No, that can’t be.’”

Her son Andre researched Winfrey’s background and quickly realized that dates and locations lined up. Patricia tried to reach Lee numerous times, once even having her church pastor contact Lee’s pastor, but Lee was not ready for a meeting, Winfrey said.

So Patricia went to a Wisconsin restaurant owned by Winfrey’s niece, showed her the adoption documents and revealed her suspicion that they were related. Patricia and the niece underwent DNA testing, which proved a positive match. After that, there were a flurry of emails back and forth between various Winfrey relatives and Winfrey, but none would reveal the secret, saying it was Lee’s place. Winfrey asked her mother about giving a child up for adoption, but Lee said it wasn’t true.

Then one day in October, 10 minutes before she was walking out to do a show, Winfrey asked her assistant what the truth was and she replied, “You have a sister.” Winfrey confronted her mother with the information and Lee finally admitted the truth. Lee and Patricia met on Oct. 25 for the first time since her birth. On Thanksgiving Day, Winfrey drove to her mother’s home in Milwaukee, where her half-sister sister Patricia was waiting. “It was a Beloved moment,” Winfrey says, referring to the movie in which a daughter comes back from the dead. Home video shows the two embracing for a long moment.

During an interview taped last week with Patricia and their mother, Lee said she had denied the truth for so long because she was ashamed that she had given up a child for adoption. “I thought it was a terrible thing that I had done,” Lee said, adding that she felt she wouldn’t be able to take care of another child and get off welfare if she had kept her. Still, she said, “I did think about the baby. I went back looking for her and they told me she had left.”

Oprah Winfrey opened about her painful childhood last night on the premiere of “Piers Morgan Tonight.” The talk show host revealed that she contemplated suicide after getting pregnant at the age of 14.

Winfrey explained:

“Getting pregnant was a result of bad choices, not having boundaries, sexual abuse from the time I was 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13. [...] I thought, ‘Before the baby was born, I’m going to have to kill myself.’“

After her mother found out about her pregnancy she was immediately sent to live with her father in Nashville……who had no idea she was with child. Oprah recalled:

“My father, as a part of his decree about what’s gonna go on in this house… said to me… ‘These are the rules of the house, you are gonna obey the rules you have a 10 o’clock curfew and I would rather see a daughter of mine floating down the Cumberland River than to bring shame on this family and the indecency of an illegitimate child.’”

This left her feeling like suicide was the only other option she had.

“He’s saying that to me, and I know that I am pregnant. So I’m thinking, well, I’m just going to have to kill myself.”

However Oprah never took such action….and later was given a second chance after she lost her baby.

“But this is my 14-year-old self. I don’t even know what I thought the plan was going to be. You’re having a baby out of wedlock, your life is over. So when the baby died – the baby was never brought home from the hospital – when the baby died, I knew that it was my second chance.”

In an interview airing this Monday on “Piers Morgan Tonight”, the media mogul revealed how the 1998 comedy/horror film caused her to scarf down 30 pounds of macaroni and cheese. (Yes, we said 30 pounds!)

It premiered on a Friday and I remember hearing on Saturday morning that we got beat by something called Chucky. I didn’t even know what Chucky was. So, I asked my chef at the time to make some macaroni and cheese…and I ate about 30 pounds worth. I’m not kidding!”

Since then, Oprah has learned a huge life lesson….always learn from your mistakes.

“I think the way life is set up, for most people who have the opportunity to succeed, is that if you get the lesson, you don’t have to repeat that again.”

Hopefully eating 30 pounds of mac is also on Oprah’s never-to-do again list. Where they do that at??? (LOL)

America’s favorite TV talk show host Oprah Winfrey was seen boarding her private jet in Santa Barbara, CA on Tuesday (Jan 11) in company of one of her beloved dogs.

Oprah, who launched her new “OWN” TV Network earlier this year, recently filmed some episodes of the Oprah Winfrey Show in Australia for what is destined to be the show’s last season ever. Where ya headed to, O?

Oprah Winfrey‘s brand new TV network, aptly titled the “Oprah Winfrey Network,” or simply “OWN,” launched on New Year’s Day (Sat. Jan 1) in the United States, and among the many shows included in the cable channel’s initial line-up is a documentary series called “Oprah Presents: Master Class.”

The first episode of “Master Class” chronicled Jay-Z‘s rise to success, and featured the rapper as he showed Oprah around his old stomping grounds in the Marcy Projects of Brooklyn, New York City. Future episodes of the show will feature poet Maya Angelou, iconic actor Sidney Poitier and media-maven Diane Sawyer.
