LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA // THURSDAY, SEPT. 4TH 2008 » The 2008 BMI Urban Awards went down Thursday night and was a big night in the Black Music Industry. Three major awards were handed out that night to, Songwriter of the Year, T-Pain, Producer of the Year, Kanye West, and Janet Jackson presented the BMI Icon Award to her brothers The Jacksons 5. There were many celebrities as guests, winners, and performers. Ray J, Keri Hilson, Mario, Christina Milian, Lloyd and more were all in attendance. Check out more pics of the night after the cut!

Here is official video premiere of “Single” by pop group New Kids On The Block. The song, which was written by and features Ne-Yo, comes off their new album The Block (Interscope). I really like this song! I’m not sure if it’s because they sing the song well or if it’s because it sounds like something that could be on Ne-Yo’s album, either way iIm feeling it! Singer Chris Brown was spotted making his rounds in New York yesterday afternoon. The singer has also been recently spotted out and about with girlfriend Rihanna. The two hung out in Virginia and Maryland for a while, but it appears as though Chris is back to business in New York.

NEW YORK CITY // SUNDAY, JULY 29TH 2008 » Chris Brown & Ne-Yo are both participating in remaking the jingles to some of Wrigley’s brand chewing gum. Chris Brown will be putting a twist on Wrigley’s Doublemint gum jingle using his single, “Forever”. Ne-Yo will be remaking the jingle for Wrigley’s Big Red gum jingle, “Kiss A Little Longer”. I’d really like to see these new commercials to see how these jingles came out. No wonder Chris Brown was chewing a Wrigley’s brand chewing gum in his video. In this edition of T2W’s Who Owns the Track?, we have Rihanna and fellow label mate Ne-Yo with “Take A Bow“. I think I’m going to have to give this one to Rihanna; though, I do give props to Ne-Yo for his contribution since obviously he owns the rights to the song.
