The Boston Celtics won their final game against the Detroit Pistons and now are heading to the finals to face the Lakers. The Celtics won by 8 in Game 6 in Detroit (89-81). Boston won took 4 games out the 6 to reign the title as Eastern Conference Champs. (4-2). Paul Pierce scored 27 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Kevin Garnett had 16 rebounds, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Ray Allen put up 17 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. K.G. was excited about the win but he was exhausted from playing Detroit so hard. He responded after Game 6:

“It’s kind of surreal,” Garnett said. “Probably hasn’t even hit me yet because we haven’t slept in about four days, going on five days now. Going to the Finals, I’m just hoping to get some sleep.”

The Los Angeles Lakers won so gracefully tonight!!! I’m beyond ecstatic about this win by the Lakers! The San Antonio Spurs had a good run but it’s L.A.’s time to win some RINGS! The Lakers took 4 games out the series (4-1). The Lakers won by 7 (100-92) and became the WESTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS! I’m so proud of the Lakers. They’ve come so far in these series and show no signs of slowing down. MVP Kobe Bryant totaled 39 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Pau Gasol racked 12 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists. Lamar Odom put up 13 points and 8 rebounds. Kobe vented after last night’s victory and said:

“I think it is a tremendous accomplishment,” Bryant said. “I think the West is extremely tough. We’re all extremely excited and proud about it. Now, it’s time to go on and see if we can finish it off.”

I must say it’s coming to an end with the San Antonio Spurs. The Los Angeles Lakers won the away game last night by two (93-91). The Lakers go home in Game 5. L.A. haven’t lost a home game in the series yet so it’s not looking too good for the Spurs. The Lakers are leading the series (3-1). Kobe Bryant totaled 28 points and 10 rebounds. Pau Gasol scored 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Lamar Odom put up 16 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Kobe stated at the end of the Game 4’s win:

“It is a big step for us,” Kobe said, “Tonight we came out and did a much, much better job to win in this building in this particular game. It’s big for us.”

The San Antonio Spurs finally win one at home against the Los Angeles Lakers! Hooray for them! Good Job! Nah, but the Spurs went hard and yeah I’m hating cause I wanted my boy Kobe to dominate last night. The Lakers still lead the series though (2-1). The Spurs won by a 19 points (103-84). Was there any doubt the Lakers wouldn’t win?! The Los Angeles Lakers continues to show and prove they deserve to win the championship this year. The San Antonio Spurs got blew out by 30 (101-71)! The Lakers are currently and steadily leading the series (2-0). My boy, Kobe Byrant, scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Lamar Odom came out and scored 20 points and 12 rebounds. Pau Gasol put up 10 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Although, Kobe is basically unstoppable he still knows that he cannot underestimate his opponents:

“You have to take care of business,” Kobe said. “Get to practice [Saturday] and work on things that we want to adjust or get better at and get ready to rock ‘n roll on Sunday.”

The Detroit Pistons win Game 2 in Boston last night against the Celtics. The Boston Celtics let the Pistons beat them at home and it’s going to be a hard few games on the road since the Celtics don’t do too well on road games. Home games is their ticket to the finals and they lost the first home game. The series are now tied (1-1). The Pistons won by 6 in Game 2 (103-97). Richard Hamilton scored 25 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds. Rasheed Wallace totaled 13 points and 10 rebounds. Chauncey Billups put up 19 points and 7 assists. Hamilton responded at the end of Game 2 about how excited he is about the win and returning to their home court in Game 3:

“The atmosphere’s going to be crazy,” Hamilton said. “We’re geeked about getting back to our home court. The fans are excited, and now it’s our job to take care of home court.

The Los Angeles Lakers take another victory after being down by 20 points in the first half of the game against the San Antonio Spurs came back and won by 4 (89-85). Kobe Bryant, who only had 2 points in the 2nd quarter, scored his last 25 points in the second half of Game 1. Kobe totaled 27 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds. Pau Gasol scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. I’m so proud of K.B. and I hope he gets his ring this year! If anyone deserves it this year it can only go to Kobe Bryant. The Lakers are currently leading the series (1-0).

The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Boston Celtics in Game 4 last night. The series is now tied (2-2). The Cavs won by a good 11 points (88-77). The indeed had to win Game 4 in order to stand ground in this series. LeBron James, who had 21 points, 13 assists and 6 rebounds, said at the game’s end:

“We took care of home court and turned it into a three-game series,” James said.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 9 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Kevin Garnett finished the game with 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Celtics.

The Los Angeles Lakers unfortunately loss to the Utah Jazz yesterday by 8 after going to overtime (123-115) but the series is still tied (2-2). Deron Williams had 29 points and 14 assists. The New Orleans Hornets fell under the San Antonio Spurs in yesterday’s game losing by 20 points (100-80). The Spurs tied the series in game 4 (2-2). Top performer of the night was Tim Duncan. Duncan totaled 22 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists. Here’s quick reaction from Tim Duncan on how he felt about tying the series:

“I’m just trying to do my part,” Duncan said. “It’s just that. You’ve got to step up at playoff time. It’s win or go home. So you’ve got to step up and make plays.”

The Cleveland Cavaliers take the victory at home in last night’s game against the Boston Celtics. The Cavs won by 24 in Game 3 (108-84). LeBron James was determined to win for the home team last night. James had 21 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds. Delonte West was on point last night with 21 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds. West said at the end of the game:

“We came out, jumped on them and didn’t give it back,” West said.

The Celtics are still leading this series (2-1) but a lot can change in the next game. Game 4 will be in Cleveland which will make it harder for the Celtics to maintain their lead.

It seems whenever a team is home it’s easier for them to win games but this wasn’t the case for last night’s game. The Detroit Pistons defeats the Orlando Magic with a 3-pointer by Tayshaun Prince in the last 8.9 seconds in the final quarter (90-89). Pistons still leading the series (3-1). Tayshaun Price totaled 17 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Pistons’ coach Flip Saunders feared they would lose without their star point-guard, Chauncey Billups, but Hamilton stepped in and took charge. Richard Hamilton scored 32 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Game 5 airs Tuesday (May 13) @ 7 on TNT

The Utah Jazz won Game 3 against the Los Angeles Lakers at home by 5 (104-99). The Lakers still lead the series for now (2-1). Top perfomers of the night were Carlos Boozer and Kobe Bryant. Tony Parker did not want to lose 3 games in a row to the Hornets so he stepped up his game a little bit. Parker totaled 31 points, 11 assists and 4 rebounds. “We know that going 3-0 — it’s never been done to come back like that,” said Ginobili, “Today, for us, it was a Game 7. We knew if we didn’t win today, it was almost over. So we had a different approach. We played with more passion, more edge.”

It’s kind of surprising LeBron James hasn’t been shutting it down but these games can go either way. Kevin Garnett was on his game tonight and did not let up. K.G. scored 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists. Paul Pierce was even shocked to see that King James wasn’t beating them! Here’s what Pierce had to say:

“I’m a little shocked that he’s 8-for-42, but this is what we work on. We work on trying to contain him,” said Pierce, “LeBron is what makes them go. And if we can somehow control him, we control their team. And with the help of the guys around me, we’ve been able to do that.”

Ray Allen scored 16 points and 3 assists. Paul Pierce scored a total of 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. I guess they are kind of succeeding in this theory cause it’s not looking to good for the Cavs. LeBron can even admit this himself. LeBron said after the game:

Kobe lead L.A. to another victory (2-0) with a total of 34 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. The Lakers won by 10 points (120-110) last night. Lamar Odom racked up 19 points, 16 rebounds, and 2 assists. Pau Gasol had 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Kobe was pumped last night for Game 2. After the game he stated how he felt:

“It was an emotional night for all of us,” Bryant said after the game. “We haven’t seen Staples Center this electric. It gave me goose bumps. You want to ride the momentum, and we were able to do that.”

“I made my first couple and really felt like I was going to have it going tonight,” said Lewis, who came to the Magic in a trade with Seattle. “I know my 3 ball hasn’t been falling this whole series.

“Detroit’s obviously been a team that’s been beating us the past couple of years,” Lewis said. “The main focus is we don’t want to dig ourselves too deep of a hole. We want to try to win our home games, take the series back to Detroit 2-2.”

The best player in the league, Kobe Bryant, finally got what he deserves today and was crowned MVP of the year. Kobe Bryant should have received this award years ago but now he has to wait no longer. Kobe had some words in honor of him winning MVP:

“I really don’t know what to say to be honest with you. It’s a blessing and such an honor to be here. To recieve this award, I can go through a list of thank you’s. My family, they enabled me to be the best I can be.., training everyday and they give up so much to sacrifice for me to be able to train and prepare for games and I’m just very honored and blessed to be here.” Bryant said.

He also mentioned that his team [The Los Angeles Lakers] helped him out a great deal:

“I couldn’t have won without my players, my teammates. This is a team award. This is not an individual award. This is an award I couldn’ve won on my own. If that was the case I would’ve won when I was averaging 40,” He laughs and continues. “This gets done because we all do it as a union. I can’t thank these guys enough. These are my guys, these are my brothers. Let’s get ready for tomorrow.”

The New Orleans Hornets win another game against the San Antonio Spurs (2-0). The final score by victory for the Hornets by 18 (102-84). Top performer of the night, Chris Paul scored a career-high 30 points and 12 assists, had a comment after the game:

“These are some of the best moments, I think, of my life that we’re experiencing right now,” Paul said. “We’re just riding a wave right now.”

The Boston Celtics regained their mojo back with the final win of the series against the Atlanta Hawks (4-3). The win the seventh game by 34 points (99-65). It’s been a good seven games for the Hawks though winning every home game they played. Atlanta Hawks’ coach Mike Woodson said at the finish of Game 7:

“I wish we could have played all of our games in Atlanta,” said Woodson, “Nobody thought we had an opportunity to even win a game in this series. We battled them right to the end. We just didn’t have it today.”

LeBron James scoring his 3rd-career playoffs’ triple-double in game 6 with 27 points, 13 rebounds beating the Wizards’ by 17 (105-88). The Cavs has had a great season and now they’re advancing closer to the Finals. Cavaliers’ teammate Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists. LeBron was happy to see his team coming closer to the Finals stated at the end of Game 6:

“Cleveland is advancing. We won the series 4-2. That speaks louder than me saying anything about the fans here, anything about DeShawn Stevenson ,” James said, referring back to when he called him “overrated”. “Cleveland is advancing. That’s all that matters.”

Kobe Bryant dominated last night’s game against the Denver Nuggets with a total of 31 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, ultimately winning straight games against Denver (4-0). Last night’s final score resulted at (107-101). Pau Gasol had 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists last night. Lakers’ teammate Luke Walton tells how happy he is to have K.B. on his team:

“He is unbelievable,” Luke Walton said of Bryant, his teammates and one of the MVP favorites. “It’s always so comforting knowing you have the best closer in basketball. Orlando Magic take the victory of the series with a total of (4-1) wins to losses against the Toronto Raptors. The final score of game 5 was (102-92).  Dwight Howard leads Orlando to the Eastern Conference for the first time in 12 years. Howard scored a total of 21 points, 21 rebounds, and 2 assists. Opponent Chris Bosh never underestimated Howard and even congratulated him with his recent success in the series. Bosh states:
