But this time it will be for Elliott’s new single “Ching-A-Ling,” which recently made it’s peak position at number 39 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The song, being the latest single lifted from Step Up 2 the Streets soundtrack available in stores February 5th, also will be Elliott’s first single off her untitled album reportedly dropping the fifth quarter of this year. NAS ISN’T GETTING DROPPED! » Yeeeah … you know that rumor about Nas getting dropped by his Def Jam? Not true, according to Rolling Stone, a label-rep says to Rock Daily, “that is absolutely ridiculous and untrue.” These falsified claims first starting surfacing on the National Enquireresque-site MediaTakeOver, which quoted an “inside source,” stating, “If Nas doesn’t change his mind, he’ll be dropped. And he doesn’t have to much time to come to that realization.” The Emcee has been frequently in the media now leading up to the release of his forthcoming album Nigger. Missy Elliott’s MySpace bulletin confirmed that “Ching-A-Ling” would be the lead single from the movie soundtrack Step Up 2 the Streets, which is in stores February 5th 2008, and possibly included on Missy’s yet-to-be-titled studio album set to be released during first quarter. Missy NEVER disappoints, never. I loved all of her projects but Cookbook has to be my favourite from her music catalog. From what I hear her newest album is going to be dance-oriented so that will be grand, “Ching-A-Ling” is just a taste of what we can expect I’m sure but I’m lovin’ it! It’s sort of the “I-got-my-check-now-let-me-go-get-ready-for-the-cl ub” track! LOL Her music is always so lively and extrovert, which is the complete opposite of her personality in person; she is reeeally short and shy – not shy like “scared” – but shy like “reserved” and asexual, like me.

BET’s Stephen Hill and his long standing commitment to fighting AIDS/HIV was honored with “Live Beats.” “Live Beats: A Night of Musical Mayhem and Tonal Terror Fashioned by Fun(k),” took place this past Tuesday at the Highline Ballroom in New York. MISSY AND KEYSHIA ON STAGE AT THE “DOUBLE UP TOUR” IN ATLANTA

R Kelly’s currently on tour with Keyshia Cole, Ne-Yo, and J.Holiday, and the crew touched down in Atlanta last night. I’m hearing Keyshia’s giving a little trouble behind the scenes though. I was reading on Fresh’s site that homegirl wasn’t too happy about her dressing room arrangement (and the show line-up) at the previous show in Columbus, Georgia. She did NOT go on stage that night because she didn’t wanna go BEFORE Ne-Yo! Why? Because she believes that she’s bigger than he is. Wow… Lol. Style Razzi has all the info on that. But it looks like they came to some kind of agreement cause she hit the stage last night in Atlanta. If anyone went to the ATL show last night, PLEASEEEEE hit us up! I wanna know who came first … Keyshia, or Ne-Yo?? Lol!

But on the real, she needs to chill out with that. Drama on the road is not cool, especially when you have to be around these people almost all day long for a period of 2 – 4 months. Wasn’t she the one causing issues a couple of years ago during Kanye’s tour?? It was something between her and Fantasia if I remember correctly.

Well it’s been quite a ride for pop sensation Justin Timberlake from the release of his sophomore effort FutureSex/LoveSounds (Jive/Zomba) last year to the FutureSex/LoveShow world tour he embarked on earlier this year (and apparently continuing through to November 26). Timberlake is set to release the FutureSex/LoveSounds Deluxe Edition (audio/DVD), with added material, including a subtle duet with mega star singer Beyoncé Knowles. The two disc set will be available sometime later on this year. Below you can hear “Sexy Back (Remix)” featuring Missy Elliott and “Sexy Ladies” featuring 50 Cent.
