With his wife Sonia on his arm, Sammy Sosa celebrated his 41st birthday and his new light-skinned complexion with a party at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Saturday night. Though his skin is about 10 shades lighter than what he used to be, he says he’s “not trying to look like Michael Jackson.” The baseball legend revealed that his new complexion is the result of a bleaching cream he puts on before going to bed every night, and he’s reportedly using the cream to restore his skin after being in the harsh sun all those years playing baseball…. Yeah, right!

Singer Estelle attended an event celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Super Mario Brothers video game at the Ninteno World Store Thursday night (Nov 12) in New York City.

And Miranda Cosgrove attended the Australian Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in Melbourne Friday evening (Nov 13). Her popular tv series “iCarly” won the award for “Fave Comedy Show.”

Beyonce’s Single Ladies Wins “Best Video” at the 2009 MTV EMAs // Thanks Husband Jay-Z for “putting a ring on it”

Miranda Cosgrove and Brody Jenner presented Beyonce with the award for “Best Video” at the 2009 MTV EMA last night (Thur Nov 5). And when Beyonce made her speech she said she only wanted to thank one person:

“Okay, there’s only one person I wanna thank. …. And that is Jay for putting a ring on it”

Wait, this can’t really be the first time Beyonce has publicly acknowledged her marriage to Jay-Z in the past year and a half can’t it?? Better late than never we guess but damn!

Beyonce’s music video for “Single Ladies” beat out “Waking Up In Vegas” (Katy Perry), “Circus” (Britney Spears), “We Made You” (Eminem), “She Wolf” (Shakira) in the category. Earlier in the night she performed her hit single “Sweet Dreams.”

Rapper Lil Kim arrived at the 2009 MTV EMAs (Europe Music Awards) in Berlin Thursday night (Nov 5) looking about 100x better than she usually does! We know we’ll never get the “old Kim” back but at least this is a step up from her usual look. Just keep the knives away from your face Kim, please!!

Miranda Cosgrove Attends Colgate Oral Health Festival in NYC

Actress/singer Miranda Cosgrove attended the Colgate Oral Health Festival Tuesday (Oct 27) at the Radisson Martinique in New York City.

Miranda, star of the hit Nickelodeon tv series “iCarly,” will be heading to Australia to appear as a guest star at the upcoming Aussie version of the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on November 13th. She’ll be joining Good Charlotte’s Benji and Joel Madden as international guests for the night.

“My friends and I look forward to Kids’ Choice Awards each year as we just love it, so to be traveling to Australia for the first time makes it even more exciting!” Miranda said. “I can’t wait to meet Australian kids and be part of the show… I just hope I get slimed while I’m there!”

Cosgrove is competing against Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and her former on-screen brother Drake Bell in the “Fave International TV Star” category. And her show “iCarly” is up for the “Fave Comedy Show” award.
