The King of all that is Pop, Michael Jackson, returns with Thriller 25, Thriller - 25th Anniversary Edition is a special 25th anniversary edition of the album Thriller by Michael Jackson. Thriller, released in 1982, was and still is the world’s best selling album to date. Michael Jackson not only started a trend but a phenomenon, influencing many artists for over a decade. If there were no Michael Jackson, there would be no Usher, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Sterling Simms, the list goes on and on. Michael Jackson will always be relevant in all that is pop, this is apparent, no if’s, and’s, or but’s about that.
You know, when I think about it too, I have always been more of a MJ lover than Prince (no disrespect, none, sir). Mike just has that charisma and stage presence about him, and yes I know your going to say, “but he doesn’t play an instrument!” FOOL! His body is an instrument! Just imagine Michael Jackson on stage with an “instrument,” it would be so, beneath him.
Anyway, I digress (somewhat, I lost myself). Oh! With this special edition of Thriller you can look forward to brand new material, including five remixes of original material featuring Akon, Fergie, Kanye West, and producer will.i.am ftw! Now, I have to admit, some of these songs they shouldn’t have messed with just for the fact of definitiveness. BUT I do love most of will.i.am’s work (”P.Y.T.” and “The Girl is Mine”) and Akon’s (”Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’”) mixes.
MJ covers next week’s Jet Magazine — ANYBODY say ANYTHING bad about MJ gettin’ shot. In the issue they talk about MJ planning to release on his Double Diamond-selling album, Thriller (read more here). Thriller is remarkably the top selling album of all time, even today, every year thousands get sold. MJ is indeed the King of Pop — he’s earned that title.

EPIC RECORDS/LEGACY RECORDINGS UNVEIL THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF MICHAEL JACKSON’S THRILLER THE WORLD’S BIGGEST SELLING ALBUM OF ALL TIME Well it has indeed been a long time coming but the wait is now worth it, The World’s Top-selling Pop Artist Ever Mr. Michael Jackson will be returning with brand new and unreleased material featuring Will.I.Am and Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas, Akon and Kanye West for the final installment of Thriller 25th Anniversary Edition! The album will be available for purchase February 12th of next year and expect a new single to be announced sometime in December of 2007. I’m so overzealous — you have no idea! The album Thriller has been certified by the RIAA 27x platinum thus achieving Double Diamond status and making history as the first and only record to be America’s top-selling album two years running (1983 and 1984). Michael Jackson has started a mainstream phenomenon in everything, not just music, he is just simply the greatest and there will never be another quite like Michael. Ahh, I think my all-time favorite MJ cuts would have to be (next to “Thriller” of course), “They Don’t Care About Us,” “Leave Me Alone,” “Ghost” and “Scream!” But really, I like all of ‘em! This man puts out consecutive hits to me, he will always be number one, I cannot stress that enough. Oh, I’m so excited — can you tell?! **CONTINUE READING
Mary J. Blige fans can now pre-order her new album, appropriately entitled, Growing Pains before it hits stores December 18! Along with the pre-order of GP MJB fans will get the first single, “Just Fine” produced by ‘Tricky’ Stewart and Jazze Pha, instantly! If that’s not all on December 18 you can receive the Digital Booklet along with a bonus track entitled “Mirror” featuring Eve!
Check out a mash-up video (above) of “Just Fine” featuring “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough!” As I said before, being a MJ fan myself, that “Just Fine” reminded me a lot of that song (as did the video). God, there will never be another Michael Jackson.
If you didn’t know already, Michael Jackson is slated to make a big comeback with a new album paying homage to “Thriller,” an album he released 25 years ago, featuring productions from a few of the heavy-hitters in the industry. Just to mention a few names … Kanye West, Akon, and Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. Sounds like it’s going to be a pretty crazy project!
Anyhow, Jacko is featured on the cover of the latest edition of Ebony Magazine in honor of “Thriller” turning 25. Spies told the NY Post’s Page Six that MJ was “very sweet” and asked a ton of questions about the lives of the crew members on the set at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. “He did go on and on about kids, though, saying how much he loved them,” reported the spy. After the shoot, he posed for photographs with the crew.
Mike really needs to let go of how much he loves children if he wants anyone to believe he isn’t a pedophile. But eff all that … 25 years?! Where can some of these so called “artists” today say they’ll see themselves in the year 2032. Working the graveyard shift at Lil’ Cricket [1]? I mean really, what will Soulja Boy being doing 25 years from now.
