Michael Jackson was recently arrested for pickpocketing at a Moscow subway station.

A 50 year-old Canadian man (who goes by the same name as the late pop star) was caught by cops stealing a wallet from a woman’s purse.

“Standing on the platform, the man stole a wallet from the purse of one of the passengers. Police officers witnessed the crime – they arrested the thief red-handed.”

Jackson was taken to the fifth police department for further investigation. The Investigative Committee of the Interior Affairs Department of the Moscow Metro filed a criminal case against the Canadian national in accordance with Part 2, Article 158 of the Penal Code of the Russian Federation (Theft). The police are currently investigating the Canadian’s involvement in other similar crimes.

Janet Jackson sat down with ABC’s “Good Morning America” for an interview that aired Thursday (Dec 15) where the 45-year-old entertainer announced that she is the new face and body of the popular Nutrisystem diet program.

Janet says her self and body image issues, which started when her brother (late Pop idol Michael Jackson) teased her about her weight when they were kids, inspired her to inspire others and become the face of Nutrisystem.

“It’s a matter of learning how to keep it off, that maintenance and they have a program for that,” Janet shared. “My success plan is to be healthy and feel good about me.”

In addition to the Nutrisystem announcement, Ms. Jackson also talked about her niece Paris Jackson, and what she thinks about her signing on for a role in the upcoming movie “Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys.”

“I’m happy for her because this is what she wants to do,” she said. “[But] I said, ‘You should really take this time to enjoy your youth to its fullest’ because you lose so much of your childhood in this industry.”

Jackson also discussed how she’s doing after he trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor who was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of her brother, Michael.

“It’s been a great deal of happiness and a great deal of sadness,” she said.

Michael Jackson‘s daughter Paris Jackson sat down with daytime TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres for a rare interview where the celebuspawn talked about a number of topics, including the best advice her father gave her before he died, her acting dreams and more.

“He said, ‘If I die tomorrow, always remember what I told you.’ I took his advice, and I remembered everything he told me,” the 13-year-old said in an interview scheduled to air on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ on Thursday (Dec 15).

In her first-ever solo TV interview, Jackson also discussed the famous masks her late father made her and her two brothers wear whenever they went out with him in public.

“I’m like, ‘This is stupid, why am I wearing a mask?’” she told DeGeneres. “But I kind of realized the older I got, like, he only tried to protect us and he’d explain that to us too.”

These days, she says she lives a relatively normal life. “I’m treated the same. When I [went to school], they didn’t know who I was. I was like, yes, I have a chance to be normal.”

But now, after being sort of ‘incognito’ for so long, Michael Jackson’s only daughter has decided to step in the spotlight herself after snagging a role in the upcoming fantasy film “Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys.”

“My dad was in the movie Moonwalker, and I knew he could sing really well but I didn’t know he could act. I saw that and I said, ‘Wow, I want to be just like him,’” Paris told Ellen. “We would do improv together. He would give us little scenarios. He would go, ‘Okay, in this scene you’re going to cry,’ and I’d cry on the spot.”

Dr. Conrad Murray was sentenced to four years in jail today for his role in the death of Michael Jackson. But the (former) doctor will reportedly only serve half of his sentence at the L.A. County Jail due to overcrowding.

Just three weeks ago, Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter following a 6-week trial in which prosecutors successfully argued that Jackson’s shocking 2009 death was the result of Murray’s reckless use of the surgical anesthetic propofol to help the singer sleep.

Testimony during the trial revealed that Murray told detectives he had been giving Jackson nightly doses of propofol to help him sleep as he prepared for a series of comeback concerts in London due to kick off the next month.

Propofol is an anesthetic drug to be used in hospital settings and has never been approved for at-home sleep treatments, yet Murray clearly admitted to giving it to the King of Pop (without proper monitoring equipment), then leaving the room the day he died.

In a lengthy statement delivered before Murray’s sentencing — attended by several members of Jackson’s family, including mother Katherine and siblings LaToya, Jermaine, Randy and Rebbie — Judge Michael Pastor said that he felt as though he had a significant responsibility to utilize his sense of “fairness and decency” in determining the appropriate sentence for Murray.

Judge Pastor also said that in his decision, he had considered not only the entire “book” of Murray’s life, but also the “book of Michael Jackson’s life.”

“Regrettably, as far as Dr. Murray is concerned, the most significant chapter, as it relates to this case, is the chapter involving the treatment, or lack of treatment, of Michael Jackson.”

Jackson died “not because of an isolated one-off occurrence or incident,” Pastor said. “He died because of a totality of circumstances which are directly attributable to Dr. Murray … because of a series of decisions that Dr. Murray made.”

He also cited Murray’s “pattern of deceit and lies. That pattern was to assist Dr. Murray.”

Pastor noted that a tape recording of Jackson’s slurred voice (due to him being drugged up) was Murray’s “insurance policy” that was “designed to record his patient surreptitiously at that patient’s most vulnerable point. I can’t even imagine that happening to any of us because of the horrific violation of trust.”

He said he wondered whether or not Murray would have sold the tape, had Jackson not died and the two had a falling out later on down the road.

Prosecutors said in a sentencing memo filed with the judge last week that Murray had “displayed a complete lack of remorse” about Jackson’s death, adding that he is “even worse, failing to accept even the slightest level of responsibility.”

The Judge also made note of Murray’s critical comments about MJ in his recently aired documentary, while prosecutors cited Murray’s decision to not testify in his own defense, even though he gave interviews for the documentary that aired days after the verdict, in which Murray says, “I don’t feel guilty because I did not do anything wrong.”

“In each of these interviews, the defendant has very clearly stated that he bears no responsibility for Michael Jackson’s death,” the prosecutors said. “Moreover, the defendant has continued to express concern only for his individual plight and portrays himself, not the decedent, as the victim.”

“Finally, the defendant consistently blames the victim for his own death, even going so far as to characterize himself as being ‘entrapped’ by the victim and as someone who suffered a ‘betrayal’ at the hands of the victim,” the prosecutors said.

In addition to asking the Judge to sentence Murray for the maximum four years, prosecutors also asked for Murray to be ordered to pay Jackson’s 3 children Prince, Paris and Blanket more than $120 million in restitution.

Murray is unlikely to ever practice medicine again, so it is very doubtful that he will be able to pay any of this money out of his own pockets.

But the fact that he owes so much money will prevent him from reaping any major financial benefits from the sell of any books, interviews, film/TV projects, etc. in the future.

Katherine and “Money Hungry” Joe Jackson couldn’t be more satisfied with Dr. Conrad Murray’s conviction for the death of their superstar son.

Michael Jackson‘s parents released a statement saying they feel like justice has finally been served yesterday after the verdict was announced.

“We have been waiting for this moment for a very long time and we couldn’t hold back tears of joy in the courtroom.  Even though nothing can bring back our son, justice has finally been served! We can’t wait to go home and share this day with Michael’s children.”

It’s good to know the Jackson family can finally get closure from all of this…

Following a six-week trial and two days of deliberation, the jury in the Michael Jackson manslaughter case against Dr. Conrad Murray reached a verdict Monday (Nov 7).

Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in Los Angeles County Superior Court for the death of Michael Jackson. Jackson’s immediate family, including parents Joe and Katherine, and sister LaToya, were present in the court room as the verdict was read.

Prosectors say Murray caused Jackson’s death through acts of “criminal negligence” when he used a hospital-grade drug for insomnia in Jackson’s home without the proper monitoring and resuscitation equipment (like a defibrillator, for instance).

Murray also acted negligently by waiting 20 minutes before calling 911, incompetently administering CPR, and failing to tell EMS workers who arrived on the scene that he had used Propofol, the drug that killed Michael Jackson.

Murray also failed to fulfill a doctor’s legal duty to care for a patient by acted negligently in delaying 20 minutes before calling 911, attempting CPR incompetently and failing to tell rescue personnel he had used propofol, prosecutors said.

Dr. Conrad Murray will be sentenced at a later date, and faces up to 4 years behind bars. He could also lose his medical license.

The fate of Dr. Conrad Murray is in the hands of the jury after deliberations began Friday (Nov 4).

After six weeks of listening to testimony from both sides, the jury went behind closed doors in a downtown Los Angeles courthouse to try and figure out whether they will convict or acquit Dr. Murray of involuntary manslaughter for the death of Michael Jackson in June 2009.

The Associated Press reported:

The physician’s attorneys attacked prosecutors and their witnesses, saying they had over time developed stories and theories that placed the blame for Jackson’s death squarely on Murray.

On Friday, media were camped outside the courthouse and in the courtroom where the jury’s decision will eventually be read. There was no sign of Murray or attorneys handling the case, but they will receive a two-hour notice when a verdict is reached. Murray waived the need for his presence if the panel asks any questions, but must be present when a verdict is reached.

After nearly 6 hours of deliberation Firday, the jury wasn’t able to deliver a verdict, and the judge presiding over the case dismissed them in the late afternoon.

Deliberations will continue Monday morning at 11:30 am sharp.

Michael Jackson‘s only daughter Paris Jackson showed up at Chris Brown‘s concert in Los Angeles to show her support for the young Pop star … and even spent time with Chris backstage after the show!

Sans her two brothers Prince Michael and Blanket, 13-year-old Paris and a group of her friends spent their evening screaming Brown’s name while singing and dancing along to Chris Brown’s concert set.

Young Paris even threw her arms in the air and made a heart shape with her hands for Chris. Looks like she had one hell of a time!

After the show, Paris took to her Twitter to express how much fun she had at the concert, sending out a special tweet the singer:

“AMAZING Show Tonight!! You were Outstanding!!”

“Blew my MIND!!! I was in the front and it was just like, mind-blowing!! hahaha! Amazing, mind-blowing, outstanding, crazy, like indescribable lol”

We hear Michael Jackson was a fan of Chris Brown so he would be proud to know that his daughter supports the young superstar as well.

The prosecution continues to show that they are pulling NO punches in this Dr. Conrad Murray trial by displaying yet ANOTHER haunting image of Michael Jackson‘s dead body.

TMZ just posted the above photo of Michael Jackson’s dead, naked body sprawled out on a gurney in the hospital just moments after he died at the hands of Dr. Murray of a propofol overdose. Prosecutors showed this very same shocking image during today’s court proceedings.

Though the date near Jackson’s body reads August 25th 2009, the autopsy doctor Christopher Rogers claims the date was wrong. It should have read June 25th, the date he died.

During the trial’s opening proceedings a few weeks ago, the prosecution sent one hell of a message to the jury with the use of this haunting photo of Michael Jackson’s lifeless body, with his eyes closed and his mouth open, on a hospital gurney under the words “Homicide.”

They also also presented the jury with an eerie recording of the King of Pop’s voice slurring through what appeared to be a drugged up haze from the surgery-strength anesthetic propofol.

Now that they’ve posted this new photo — which shows just how sickly Michael Jackson looked underneath his clothing — it looks Dr. Murray is going DOWN.

Michael Jackson‘s bodyguard Alberto Alvarez testified during day three of the King of Pop’s high profile manslaughter trial Wednesday (Sep 28), claiming that he, as the first member of the singer’s security team to arrive at the scene of his death, was told to hide Dr. Conrad Murray’s evidence.

In his testimony, Alvarez said when he first arrived on the scene on June 25th 2009, Murray instructed him to collect several vials of drugs and remove all of the medicine from Jackson’s nightstand and take it away in a bag before 911 was called. He claims Jackson’s eyes were open, and he appeared to be dead when he first arrived in the room.

Alvarez claims there were two saline bags on the IV stand, but Murray only cared about the one that contained a vial with a “milky white substance.”

Alvarez also said that he observed Murray performing one-handed chest compressions, in a failed attempt to perform CPR while Michael Jackson lay on his bed. (Sidenote: With Dr. Murray being the “medical professional” that he claimed to be, he should have known that CPR should ALWAYS be done on a hard surface, like a floor or a table … NOT a soft bed.)

After Alvarez hid the “evidence” as he was instructed, Murray, being the priority-driven medical professional that he is, then instructed him to call 911. (Listen below!)

The dispatcher on the line told Alvarez to move Michael from the bed to the floor in order to successfully perform CPR, and a few minutes later, paramedics were on the scene, and they took it from there.

Dr. Murray’s attorney Ed Chernoff tried to get Alvarez to admit that maybe he had been confused about the timing and order of the events, however, Alvarez was adamant about the fact that Murray instructed him to stash away the drugs, vials, etc. BEFORE he was instructed to call the paramedics.

Alvarez is the second member of Jackson’s security team to testify this week. His testimony will be challenged by Murray’s defense attorneys, who earlier this week questioned Jackson’s head of security and the singer’s personal assistant about why they initially held back certain details about the day Jackson died.

Authorities accuse Dr. Murray of giving Jackson a lethal dose of the powerful anesthetic Propofol in the bedroom, which they believe in turn, killed him.

If Murray is convicted of involuntary manslaughter, he could face four years in jail.

As we previously reported, the manslaughter case against Dr. Conrad Murray in the death of Michael Jackson began Tuesday (Sep 27) with the prosecutors projecting what is being called the “Michael Jackson Death Photo,” and playing a shocking audio recording of the King of Pop slurring his speech as he is clearly under the influence of the powerful anesthetic drug propofol.

The clip, recorded on Murray’s iPhone with a time stamp of May 10th 2009, features the Pop superstar speaking about his legacy in a very deep, weak, monotone voice, which shows just how much the drug was effecting Jackson. Something Dr. Murray and others clearly ignored, which led to Jackson’s death just a little more than a month later on June 25th 2009.

With much of Michael’s immediately family in the courtroom, including his parents Joe and Katherine, and a few of his siblings Janet, LaToya, Randy and Jermaine, prosecutor David Walgren played only a clip of the recording, saying that it showed what Dr. Murray “is doing to Michael Jackson.”

Walgren told the court that the rest will be played throughout the remainder of the trial.

The sad and disturbing recording played of Michael Jackson said:

“We have to be phenomenal. When people leave this show, when people leave my show, I want them to say, “I’ve never seen nothing like this in my life. Go. Go. I’ve never seen nothing like this. Go. It’s Amazing. He’s the greatest entertainer in the world.”  I’m taking that money, a million children, children’s hospital, the biggest in the world, Michael Jackson’s Children’s Hospital.”

Dr. Conrad Murray‘s manslaughter case kicked off with a jury hearing yesterday (Sep 27), and the prosecution sent one hell of a message to the jury with the use of this haunting photo of Michael Jackson‘s lifeless body, with his eyes closed and his mouth open, on a hospital gurney under the words “Homicide.”

The almost incoherent recording, with a time stamp of May 10th 2009 (about a month before Jackson died from an overdose of propofol), was retrieved from defendant Dr. Conrad Murray’s iPhone, and in it, you can hear Jackson speaking with painfully slow, clearly intoxicated speech.

“When people leave this show, when people leave my show, I want them to say, ‘I’ve never seen nothing like this in my life. Go. Go,’” the clearly weak entertainer is heard saying in the recording. “I’m taking that money, a million children, children’s hospital, the biggest in the world, Michael Jackson’s Children’s Hospital,”

Prosecutor David Walgren hammered the cardiologist for his “extreme deviations” from medical stands.

He also told jurors during his opening statement, “This voice recording documents Michael Jackson highly under the influence of unknown agents. (It documents) Conrad Murray’s knowledge of what he is doing to Michael Jackson.”

Walgren said Murray pumped Jackson with propofol as part of a lethal cocktail of drugs then abandoned the singer to make calls and return emails the morning of June 25, 2009. He said Murray did not have the proper equipment to administer the dangerous anesthetic, waited 25 minutes to call 911 when he noticed Jackson wasn’t breathing and “deceived” paramedics and emergency room doctors by not telling them about the propofol when “specifically asked.”

In short, he said Murray failed to act like a doctor, and his negligence caused Jackson’s death. “Conrad Murray, with his eyes on an anticipated $150,000 (per month) lucrative contract, instead agreed to provide Michael massive amounts of propofol on a regular basis in complete disregard of all acceptable standards of medical care,” Walgren said.

Jackson’s famous sister Janet Jackson, his parents and several other siblings filled the downtown courtroom for the first day of the long-awaited trial. The entertainer’s three children were not present, but his eldest son and daughter could be called during the trial since they witnessed some of the chaotic resuscitation attempt.

Murray, 58, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and faces up to four years in prison and a likely loss of his medical license if convicted. His defense lawyer started his opening statement saying Jackson was responsible for his own death.

Ed Chernoff told jurors that the King of Pop woke during Murray’s absence and self-administered enough extra propofol to create a “perfect storm” that killed him “so instantly he didn’t even have time to close his eyes.”

Murray, who dabbed tears during his lawyer’s statements, earlier told investigators that Jackson used propofol for his insomnia – calling it his “milk” — and that he was trying to wean the 136-pound performer from his addiction over a two-month period of nightly doses.

Wow … what a way to kick off this case. The L.A. District Attorney is going all the way in with that photo and that audio tape!

Can’t say that Dr. Murray dude doesn’t deserve it though. He killed Michael Jackson and deserves to be punished.

It’s a known fact that certain members of the Jackson family do not want the planned “Michael Forever” tribute concert to go down. But according to new reports, it looks like they’re not alone.

Michael Jackson‘s fan club members are demanding that the tribute be cancelled IMMEDIATELY. They have even gone as far as to send an open letter to Katherine Jackson, urging her to cancel the upcoming tribute concert because they believe that it is “doomed to fail.”

The fan club members are also upset that the concert is scheduled to happen around the same time Dr. Conrad’s Murray’s manslaughter trial, a feeling that is mutual between the fan club members and Michael’s brothers Jermaine and Randy Jackson.

The fans are also displeased with legendary rock group Kiss being added to the line-up earlier this month, however they were dropped after fans complained about Gene Simmons’ quotes about Michael’s child molestation trials last year.

In an effort to publicly show that they’re against the tribute concert, MJ’s loyal fans have set up a “Fans Against Michael Forever Tribute” Facebook page that reads:

“From the timing of this tribute, in the middle of Dr Murray’s trial, to the ticketing prices, to the obscurity over what charities will be receiving the donation, to the no-guarantee policy of performers, the addition of Gene Simmons and dishonouring, thus tarnishing, Michael Jackson’s legacy was simply the last straw.”

If it does go on, amidst the controversy, he concert, set to take place on October 8th at Cardiff’s Milennium Stadium in Wales, will feature performances from Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke and others. It was announced this week that Pop Queen Beyonce will also be performing (via satellite).

And if new reports are anything to go by, she’ll be singing one of the famous family’s songs (or maybe even an MJ solo song) again, because the “Best Thing I Never Had” singer will be performing on October 8th in Cardiff, Wales at the Michael Forever Tribute Concert.

However, due to Bey’s ever busy schedule, she will not be able to perform in person but will be seen via satellite.

Other stars that are said to be lined up for the special tribute include Christina Aguilera, Smokey Robinson, Cee Lo Green, Alien Ant Farm and Leona Lewis.

Perry’s latest catchy single “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” from her album “Teenage Dream,” helped her secure the spot.

And not only is Katy Perry the only woman in Billboard history to have five #1 singles from the same album, but she is also the only living artist holding that record to date.

“What a way to wake up! SO proud to announce that the little-engine-that-could of a song ‘LAST FRIDAY NIGHT’ is officially #1 & made HISTORY!” the singer tweeted yesterday.

With an attitude of gratitude to her fans she went on to tweet “& u know, I couldn’t have done it with out ya, really I owe u guys BIG… so take this moment to give yourself a high FIVE!!! #allbecauseofu.”

The Jackson family is feuding again … and this time it’s over the Michael Forever Tribute Concert that is scheduled to take place on October 8th in Wales, Great Britain.

According to our buds over at Radar Online, the main reason why the Jackson family is at war is because Katherine Jackson is allowing Michael’s three children to attend the event. And not only that, but Michael’s brothers Jermaine and Randy are also upset at the timing of the concert, which is scheduled to go down around the same time Dr. Conrad Murray’s involuntary manslaughter trial will be going on.

“Randy and Jermaine just don’t think it’s a good idea for Katherine, who is 81 years old, to fly all the way over to Britain for the concert, along with Michael’s children. Prince and Paris need to stay in school, and not be used for publicity. Jermaine is very concerned about his mother’s health because of the stress she is under with the upcoming trial of Dr. Murray. Katherine has vowed to be at the trial as much as possible, and her sons are concerned about the toll that all of this is taking on her”, a source close to the family told the entertainment site.

Another twist to the story is that the website selling tickets specifically confirm that MJ’s mother and children will be attending the event. “Michael’s mother Mrs. Katherine Jackson has agreed to attend the Concert with as many of Michael’s children as are available.”

Smokey Robinson, Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis and Cee Lo Green are all scheduled to perform at the concert.

Aaron Carter is making some major claims about the late Michael Jackson…..

In an interview with OK! Magazine’s Australia edition, the former child star reveals that Michael gave him cocaine and alcohol.

“He gave me cocaine. I felt weird about that and other stuff,” he reveals.

At the time, Aaron was 15 and felt as if he couldn’t refuse taking drugs and wine from the pop icon. “I mean, I could have refused, but I was 15. I admired Michael, but his behavior bothered me a lot,” Carter said.

Carter went on to tell the magazine … that he misses Michael, but is still troubled about what he did to him.

“I miss Michael … I have spent such incredible times with him. I did things with him that nobody else did,” he added. “But I was also troubled about what he did to me.”

We don’t know if Aaron’s telling the truth or  just trying to get his face back in the spotlight. But regardless … the timing is horrible!

Since the death of her brother Michael Jackson, his sister LaToya Jackson has never hidden the fact that she believes that her brother was murdered.

In an explosive interview with Pop Eater, LaToya does not hold back. “Michael always used to say, ‘La Toya I want to leave everything to my kids,’ and here they have absolutely nothing” she says.

You think Michael was murdered.
Yes, I do. I believe that from the bottom of my heart. The people that he told me were going to murder him are behind his murder. They know that. They know who they are. They’re controlling his estate now.

Within a week of his death people he had eradicated from his life completely, came in lurking, asking questions about the catalog, speaking to the attorney who controls the catalog. My brother Michael was clean (when he died), he had no drugs in his system, he was leading a good life. He was unhappy with the way people were treating him. The coroner said there was nothing in him except for the propofol which was pumped in his body and it was enough to kill an elephant.

Dr. Murray was simply the fall guy, there were people behind it. It was a conspiracy and they know that. I want to have a one-on-one with Dr. Murray. I would love to sit down and talk with him.

You say the English tour was fishy.
First of all he told me he never would do a tour again because he said they would assassinate him if he was on stage. He finally agreed to ten shows which he didn’t want to do but he agreed and he wakes up overnight and there’s 50 shows and they told him he had to do them. They knew he wasn’t capable of them, they knew he wasn’t healthy enough. He had a kidney problem, he was extremely thin, he was always freezing. They knew what they were doing. This isn’t what I’m thinking, these are facts.

How does your family feel about you saying this?
When you lose a loved one, everybody is so hurt and there were some that said, ‘Oh he’s dead, let it be and move on,’ but no, I need to find out what happened. My mother and father have always been for me and on my side and telling me they’re so proud of me, to keep fighting. I love that, it gives me the tenacity to keep fighting and for his children. Michael always used to say, ‘La Toya I want to leave everything to my kids,’ and here they have absolutely nothing.

How are his children doing?
They’re doing very well thank you. I’m very proud of them. It was my mother’s decision to unmask them. She felt like she wanted them to be normal. However I understand why Michael did it. He wanted his kids to have the freedom to go out and not be recognized when they weren’t with him.

Milton Verrett, a commodities trader from Austin, Texas, made the purchase — over several times more than its anticipated price tag, which was between $200K and $400K — on June 26th at Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills.

The iconic fashion piece will be used as a fundraising tool with the proceeds from its tour around the world going to various children’s charities.

Verrett described the item of clothing as “among the most recognizable and famous garments of the 20th century.”

Today marks two years since the shocking death of Michael Jackson, and unsurprisingly, controversy surrounding the singer has hardly died down.

In the involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, accused of administering the pop icon’s fatal dose of meds, the defendant is allegedly maintaining his innocence so adamantly, TMZ reports that Murray wants to refuse any plea offer, including deals with no jail time.

Behind the scenes, Murray’s team just won court approval to view hours of outtakes from the MJ documentary ‘This Is It.’ In gaining access to the top-secret footage, the defense seeks proof that Jackson was unwell in the days before his 2009 cardiac arrest.

Dead beat father Joe Jackson is coming out with his own line of body scents in tribute to his son the late Michael Jackson. (And we can already tell it’s going to suck monkey balls)

The 82 year-old debuted his new scents for women and men this week in Cannes, France.

The cologne is called “Tribute” and the perfume is called “Legend”.

Only Joe Jackson would still be trying to capitalize off somebody’s death two years later. SMH!

The mother of the late great Michael Jackson adamantly defended her iconic son to Matt Lauer yesterday morning, calling allegations that the pop star molested two different boys “the biggest lie ever told.”

Katherine Jackson appeared on “Today” to discuss the case against Dr. Conrad Murray, who is accused of manslaughter in the death of her son. When Matt Lauer asked if there was anything else she wanted to share with the world about Micheal she immediately jumped into the scandal that nearly destroyed Michael’s career.

“As far as Michael being a child molester… that’s the biggest lie ever been told,” she said.

“His lawyers told him he should just pay the money,” Katherine said when Lauer asked why Jackson paid off his first accuser. “They thought that just paying the money and shut the people up would be the right thing to do.”

Jackson also revealed that Mike didn’t want to go along with the payoff, but his legal team insisted. She says Michael told her:

“I didn’t want to do it either mother, I wanted to fight it because I knew it wasn’t the truth.”

The involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson’s former doctor, which was scheduled to begin next week, has been delayed by four months.

This past Monday (May 2),  a Los Angeles judge agreed to postpone the start of Conrad Murray’s trial until September.  Murray’s attorneys requested the delay, arguing that they needed more time to prepare after prosecutors added more expert witnesses to their list.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the potential jurors who filled out questionnaires in March will be excused.  The process of selecting a jury will start all over on Sept. 8.

Murray is charged with giving Jackson a lethal dose of the powerful anesthetic propofol prior to the King of Pop’s death in 2009.  The doctor has pleaded not guilty the involuntary manslaughter charge.

Not too sure if this is a good idea. But, whatever…

Cirque du Soleil wants to recreate Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch in Sin City.

The Mandalay Bay hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip plans to open a sprawling entertainment complex that includes a Jackson-themed lounge, an interactive memorabilia museum and a theater designed to replicate the iconic refuge of the deceased musical legend, Cirque du Soleil president Daniel Lamarre said Wednesday.

“This place, Mandalay Bay, is going to become the home of Michael Jackson in many, many ways,” he said at an announcement at the casino attended by Jackson’s older brother, Jackie.

John Branca, co-executor of Michael Jackson’s estate, said the attraction will offer fans a permanent place to celebrate, as well as give them the opportunity to see some of the objects displayed at Neverland Ranch.

“Very few fans would ever get to visit Michael’s Neverland Ranch because of its remote location,” he said.

Plans for the Las Vegas lodestone, set to open in 2013, are part of the budding business relationship between the acrobatic troupe and the pop star’s estate.

Diva extraordinaire and Motown legend Diana Ross has been confirmed as the next in line to take care of the late, great Michael Jackson‘s kids if anything should happen to his 81 year old mother Kathryn Jackson.

According to RadarOnline, a source close to the Jackson family revealed that Ross was named in Michael’s will to serve as the second guardian of Prince Michael, Paris, and Blanket.

The alleged source went on to say:

“Diana has made no moves whatsoever not fulfill her role that Michael intended for her. Michael didn’t trust anyone in his family besides, his mother, to raise the children. Michael loved Diana and chose her for a very specific reason.
Katherine is a very doting, loving grandmother. She just isn’t getting any younger and that is why Michael named a second guardian.”

The site reports that an informant from Miss Ross’s camp has said:

“She will step in if there’s an immediate need to do so”.

We can see them all right now….one big happy family.

No big surprise here. The lawyer for Dr. Conrad Murray, the doc accused of administering the drugs that killed Michael Jackson, is claiming that his client is innocent.

The AP reports that Murray’s lawyer, Edward Chernoff, is arguing that it was Jackson himself and not Murray who is responsible for ended the King of Pop’s life.

In a pre-trial hearing, Chernoff argued that Jackson was so down and out over his declining empire and deep debt that he took his own life, and asked for access to Jackson’s financial records in order to prove it.

However, not everyone was feeling the doc’s defense. Prosecutors slammed Chernoff, claiming that his allegations were part of a ploy to defame Jackson.

The judge denied Chernoff’s request on grounds that it was an unnecessary invasion of Jackson’s privacy. The court is still screening jurors for the upcoming trial.

Shame on Dr. Murray for trying to throw this on Mike. Straight scumbag move.

Is nothing sacred anymore?

Apparently, some scum sucking douche out there is trying to cash in on the late great Michael Jackson’s demise by shopping around chest x-rays of the deceased King of Pop. The asking price? An astounding $3,000!

The troll with no self respect has attempted to sell chest x-rays from when Mike was ill with pneumonia on March 26, 2007. According to Radar Online, they were propositioned with the x-rays in hopes that they would buy the creepy piece of memorabilia.

The x-rays are credited to being those of Mike Smythe, which appears to be one of many aliases that the star used for medical procedures. The birthday attached to them does, indeed, match Jackson’s August 29, 1958 birthday.

There is absolutely no guarantee that these x-rays even belonged to Jackson, but the person trying to sell them claims they were taken while in Vegas. The technician who took them apparently kept a copy for their own nefarious agenda, and decided that since they no longer worked at the Las Vegas medical facility, they would try to cash in on the medical images.

SMH! The things these scumbags will do to just to make a quick buck. SICK!

Information collected from Gracenote, which pieces together data from billions of searches on popular services like iTunes, Google lyrics and through Sony products, indicates that MJ is the most looked-up artist in the world.

Artists that followed behind Jackson were Tupac Shakur and Bob Marley.

Dr. Conrad Murray, the “doctor” accused of being responsible for the death of the late great Michael Jackson, hasn’t given up on his “I’m innocent” campaign just yet…

According to TMZ, the doc and his lawyers were petitioning in court Wednesday morning (Mar. 16) to have the court grant them a first generation fingerprint off  a broken syringe found in MJ’s bedroom the day he died. The syringe could be the potential smoking gun in the doc’s ongoing case of MJ’s death because it  could potentially prove that ” The King of Pop” actually killed himself.

Dr. Murray insists he did not break the syringe. The defense believes MJ caused his own death by giving himself a massive overdose of Propofol while Murray was out of the room.

The defense is asking that the FBI deliver the first generation fingerprint.

On the latest episode of MTV’s “When I Was 17,” singer/songwriter Brandy recalled the moment she met King of Pop Michael Jackson and how it all came about.

“When I was 17, my producer Rodney Jerkins was working with Michael Jackson at the time,” Brandy says in the episode, premiering Saturday at 11 a.m. ET on MTV. “He knew how much I wanted to meet Michael Jackson, so he says, ‘Would you like to come and meet him?’ I’m like, ‘Are you serious? Of course I want to meet Michael Jackson! Where do I meet you? Where do we come?’ ”

And it wasn’t just Jerkins who knew about the singer’s admiration for Jackson. “Michael Jackson was it, so we studied Michael. Brandy studied Michael,” her brother Ray J says.

Brandy says the super-producer orchestrated the meeting between the siblings and Jackson at the recording studio. However, prior to entering the room, Brandy says nerves got the best of her.

“My heart is beating so fast at this point,” the “Dancing With the Stars” alum recalls. “I’m like, ‘Oh my God. It’s happening. We’re about to open the door and he’s going to be in there.’ ”

Ray J, who was equally excited, peeped around the room, saying, “When we first walked into the studio, we can kind of see Michael in the corner and we looked at each other like, ‘Did you see him?’ ” Unfortunately, Brandy, couldn’t maintain the same type as composure. “And I’m looking at him like, ‘Oh my God. This is Michael Jackson,’ ” adding, “I fainted, blacked out — like seriously blacked out.”

Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor charged in the death of the King of Pop Michael Jackson, has just brought himself an extra few months of freedom. Dr. Death met with a judge on Wednesday (Mar 2) and agreed to delay opening statements in the case until May.

According to the Associated Press, Murray’s attorneys consented to the postponement after they discussed the matter with prosecutors and both sides agreed they could be ready for trial by May 9.

Murray reportedly told Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor that he did not want to forfeit his right to a quick trial, but agreed to the delay if screening of prospective jurors begins as scheduled on March 24th.

“It is only acceptable to me if this is not strung along over a long period of time,” Murray told the justice. “I don’t want to lose my constitutional right to speedy trial.” (Source)

Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

On the morning of June 25th, 2009, Chris Brown was scheduled to meet with his idol: the legendary Michael Jackson. Only problem for Chris was that Mike already had an appointment scheduled…an appointment with the afterlife.

The “Deuces” singer recently revealed  to Nylon magazine that he and fellow crooner Jamie Foxx had planned on checking out Jackson’s rehearsal for his ill-fated This Is It tour while at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, but were told to stall their travel plans when Jackson failed to show up for rehearsals.

Brown, who performed an emotional tribute to his  fallen hero at the BET Awards last year, went on to tell the magazine that the meeting would have fallen on the day Jackson died in June of 2009.

“Me and Jamie Foxx were going to see him and (someone called) and they were like, ‘Hold up. He didn’t show up yet.’ And then we got the call later (that he had died) and it was devastating.”

Devastating indeed. And not only that, but one hell of a roller coaster ride. From excitement to sadness just like that…

Michael Jackson created somewhat of a legacy in showbiz and with his charity work, and now his kids say they want to continue what their father started.

Prince (14), Paris (12) and Blanket Jackson (9) sat down with “Good Morning America” host Robin Roberts in an interview that aired Friday (Feb 25) where they spoke candidly about how much their lives have changed since losing their father nearly 2 years ago.

The three children, who have been attending a traditional school since their father’s death, after being homeschooled for years, are much like any other children, cracking jokes, texting and playing with toys throughout the segment. When prompted to disclose their favorite subjects in school, Prince answers, “Gym and lunch,” to which his sister responds, “Amen!”

While their interests are that of any other kids their age, their father’s love of the stage seems to have rubbed off on them. Paris tells Roberts that she wants to be an actress and hopes to achieve her goal like any other kid: by auditioning for a school play. Prince, a “beast” at basketball as his sister describes him, says he also hopes to go into the entertainment business as a movie producer. “We had a teacher from UCLA come to our house, and we would do film classes there,” he says of the inspiration behind his goal, fostered by his father.

The Jackson children hope to do more than just entertain the world, though; they want to make it a better place. “[We want to] continue what our dad was doing, helping children from across the world and animals who couldn’t speak up for themselves,” says Prince. “Ditto,” echoes his sister.

Michael Jackson’s estate has generated $310 million in revenue from album sales, a film, merchandising and other products since the “Thriller” singer died in 2009, according to court papers filed on Thursday.

His estate’s administrators have used $159 million to pay down the pop star’s debt, which when Jackson died amounted to more than $400 million, court records show.

“Although there remain unresolved creditor claims, pending litigation and additional challenging business, tax and legal issues, and the estate is not yet in a condition to be closed, the executors have made substantial progress in reducing the estate’s debt,” the documents state.

The records, which were made public as part of the estate’s probate proceedings, are the most detailed accounting yet of the finances of Jackson’s estate from his death until Dec. 31, 2010.

Beneficiaries of the estate are Jackson’s children, his mother and various charities. Attorney John Branca and music executive John McClain were named administrators in a will the “Thriller” singer signed before he died in June 2009 from an overdose of drugs, most prominently the anesthetic propofol.

The singer’s physician at the time, Dr. Conrad Murray, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death and has pleaded not guilty.

Jackson’s 1982 release “Thriller” remains the best selling album of all time. Industry players think his estate can generate cash for years to come, just as dead stars like Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon and Elvis Presley continue to rake in millions.

Among the projects making money for Jackson’s estate are the new album “Michael,” which contains previously unreleased songs, and the concert movie “This Is It,” which compiled videotaped rehearsals for a series of comeback concerts in London. Various merchandising and licensing deals have also swelled the coffers. Jackson’s recordings are released by Epic Records, a unit of Sony Corp.

Noteworthy costs included a $900,000 payment to Forest Lawn Memorial cemetery where Jackson’s body is interred, and $35,000 in expenses listed as “costume for memorial.”

Administrators paid $27.2 million in taxes, as well as $5.3 million for Jackson family members and properties he owned. They made $4 million in mortgage payments on his properties.

Usher paid a touching tribute to his idol Michael Jackson during a recent tour stop in London.

The R&B crooner, who has credited the late superstar for being his mentor, did the King of Pop’s signature moonwalk halfway across the stage in the second night of his five night residency at London, England’s O2 Arena; the same arena were Michael Jackson was to play for 50 nights in 2009/2010 before his untimely death in the summer of 2009.

“Losing one of the world’s greatest entertainers is sad – while we didn’t get the opportunity to see him perform here, let’s pay tribute to him,” he told the screaming crowds before putting his feet into a pair of black sequinned shoes. “Michael, we will never forget you – we will always remember,” he added.

Meanwhile, Usher is rumored to perform alongside Slash and the Black Eyed Peas tonight during the Super Bowl XLV halftime show today in Dallas, TX.

Dr. Conrad Murray pleaded not guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter in Los Angeles court Tuesday (Jan 25) during his arraignment in the Michael Jackson murder case. The 57-year-old doctor was the King of Pop‘s personal physician and is said to be responsible for MJ’s unexpected death on June 25th 2009.

If Murray is found guilty and convicted of those charges, he could face a maximum of 4 years in prison and will likely have his medical license, currently under suspension pending the outcome of the trial, revoked.

For some odd reason, producer Teddy Riley believes that Michael Jackson is still alive and recently took to Twitter to defend his theory.

“You know people are so F-ing anal. If people can think Elvis is still alive why the F#*@ I cant [sic] think Michael is still alive,”  he tweeted.

Riley previously worked with MJ on his Dangerous album and produced “Breaking News”, the lead single on the upcoming Sony album. Just a day before tweeting his conspiracy theory, Teddy received a message from a fan asking if he agreed with Akon, who also supposedly believes the late Pop idol isn’t dead.

“Akon said he believes Michael is in hiding and will be coming back one day. I’m curious to know what ya think bout that,” the fan’s tweet read. Riley tweeted back, “AKON IS MY FRIEND AND WE THINK ALIKE.”

Either this guy is completely crazy or he seriously knows something we don’t! For the sake of our sanity though…..we’re gonna go with the first option. Can you say CUCKOO???

Michael Jackson‘s family sat down with Oprah Winfrey for an in-depth interview that aired on the “Oprah” show yesterday (Mon. Nov 8).

In the pre-taped interview, Jackson’s mother Katherine gave an update on her grandchildren, talked about her son’s addiction to plastic surgery, his death and much much more. The special also showed segments featuring the King of Pop‘s father Joeseph as well as his 3 children  Paris, Prince & Prince II (aka Blanket).

Here is the official album artwork for the new posthumous Michael Jackson album titled Michael.

The project, to be released by Epic Records, is due to hit stores just in time for Christmas (Dec 14) and will feature the single “Breaking News,” which was recorded in 2007 and released online TODAY. You can expect the record to also feature unreleased recordings for the King of Pop that were either started or completed before his death last year.

However, there are questions surrounding the legitimacy of the songs featured on the record, and whether the songs are purely Michael or just a product of studio manipulation and advanced sound engineering. In layman’s terms, people close to Michael are saying that some of the tracks are FAKES, especially the lead single “Breaking News” (which Jackson left unfinished in his vault and never used it on album).

So we’ll just have to wait and see how the songs sound when the album comes out next month in order to determine if they’re genuine.

When Quincy Jones released the remake to Michael Jackson‘s popular song “P.Y.T.”, MJs fans were none too thrilled.

The auto-tune heavy re-make will be on Jones’ upcoming tribute album Q: Soul Bossa Nostra (in stores Tuesday), and features T-Pain and Robin Thicke on the vocals. In an interview with our friends over at Rap-Up.com, Jones hits back at the “haters” who criticized the track, adding that they “don’t have a life.” Check out what he said below…

“Today with Facebook and Twitter and everything, I have never seen so many haters in my life,” the 77-year-old legend exclusively tells Rap-Up.com. “But it’s people sitting in their basements with their pants on the ground, just being haters. I don’t get it, man. That means they don’t have a life.”

Mr. Jones also said that he has no problems with the way the song was re-made and that both T-Pain and Robin Thicke volunteered to lend their voices to the track.

“The freedom in music is do what you want to do,” he shares. “I don’t think anybody should sit there and say you shouldn’t do that or you shouldn’t do this. That’s not up to me to say. They volunteered. I didn’t choose them. I didn’t produce this. Six years ago, Timbaland came to me with one of his assistants in South Beach and said, ‘We’d like to do a hip-hop tribute to all your old songs.’ I said, ‘Great, man. That’s a very big honor ’cause I’ve worked with a lot of the hip-hoppers anyway and have always been behind them. I just sat down with guys that were my friends and they called and asked me questions and so forth. I’m there for them, but I said use your own voice, but make it better than the one we did.”

And just yesterday, T-Pain took to his Twitter to hit back at critics who disagree with the “P.Y.T.” remake as well.

“For all the ppl that hate mr for ruining pyt just stop listening to my shit. But if Quincy jones tell you he want you to do something, no matter how much shot you know ur gonna get from the dumb asses in the world, you god damn do it. The fucked up thing is everybody being so kind to mj after he’s gone, but how can you wish a man to rest in peace when you never gave him peace in a life time? I had the pleasure of meeting MJ and when I left his house I got a call from his lawyer telling mr that MJ wanted me to remake that song. So everybody that’s being overly disrespectful, you don’t have to like me at all, but you also can keep that bullshit to yourself. Like I said I’m making it my job to stay positive on twitter but this is why the image of my ppl is so fucked up cuz we all are to envious and jealous of each other to get passed anything. In conclusion, if you don’t like what I do then stop listening to it, if somebody tells you that my shit is wak, why would you go and try to find it? Just stay off my timeline and my dick and get YO shit together, obviously I’m str8″
