Rapper Method Man has a new video out … and it’s all about Sour Patch Kids! (No, we’re dead serious … you didn’t read anything wrong)

According to a member of Insane Clown Posse, also known as “ICP,” rapper Method Man got what was coming to him! ICP’s Violent J spoke to TMZ last week after word got out that rapper Method Man had filed a lawsuit against the group and organizers of the “Gathering of the Juggalos” festival following an incident involving a flying beer can……and Method Man’s face.

Violent J told TMZ that the rowdy crowd at the Gathering of the Juggalos (an annual music event trademarked by the Insane Clown Posse, whose fans are called Juggalos), was chanting the word “family” (a term of endearment among Juggalos) as Method Man and his rapping partner Redman took the stage a couple of weekends ago. Well apparently, Meth didn’t understand the significance of that particular word, and as he took the mic, he shouted: “F**k family! It’s all about Hip-Hop!!” And it all went down hill from there…

Later during the duo’s set, a crowd member hurled a full can of beer towards Method Man, and it hit him right smack-dab in the face!

Since the incident, Method Man has spoken out and is planning to sue. However, Violent J isn’t worried about any legal action and told TMZ that he doesn’t feel responsible at all, calling the pending lawsuit “straight b*tch sh*t.” And despite the “bad blood” between the two parties, VJ says: “We don’t think it should have happened … We respect Met and Red to the fullest.”

We don’t know what’s worse. A group of meth (NOT the rapper) addicts disguised as grown men dressing up like clowns or talking about respecting someone after calling them straight b*tches. In any event, with all of the bad press this festival received this year, we wouldn’t be surprised if the whole operation is shut down soon!

Somebody’s gonna pay!!

As we told you yesterday, rapper Method Man is not letting things go so easy after being hit in the face with a beer can and left with a bloody gash under his eye at the Gathering of the Juggalos…and is planning on suing somebody’s a**! The M.C. recently told TMZ during an interview that he’s not okay one bit with the perp who attacked him during his performance.

TMZ spoke with Meth — who didn’t specify exactly who he intends to sue … but insisted that he’s not messing around.

Meth — who continued to perform even after blood was dripping down his face — also told us, “It’s not OK … I don’t condone throwing things at the talent while they’re performing.”

As for why he kept going after he got hit, Meth said, “It takes a lot of heart and balls to continue performing after you’ve been hit in the face” and noted that continuing his show was the “right thing to do.”

Method Man wants to take out legal action against rap group Insane Clown Posse after he suffered cuts to the face while performing on stage over the weekend at the Gathering of the Juggalos festival.

According to TMZ, Method Man was up on stage performing with his partner in crime Redman when an unknown irate crowd member threw a full can of beer in the direction of the stage, hitting Method Man in the face. Right after the incident, Redman cussed the crowd out and said to his homie Meth: “Your face it cut, go take care of that.” However Meth wasn’t having it and insisted that the show go on: “Start the music we’re continuing the show, let’s f**k these motherf**kers up!!”

Though he still managed to perform Sunday night (Aug 15) despite him bleeding from the cuts on his face, Method Man is reportedly planning to sue ICP after he was heard saying Tuesday of this week: “I’m suing those motherf**kers!!”

The Gathering of the Juggalos is an annual event held in Illinois and attended mostly by fans of the make-up wearing, clown-faced “Insane Clown Posse” Hip-Hop group, who call themselves “Juggalos.”

And the event is KNOWN to be rowdy, especially to folks like Tila Tequila and Method Man apparently, SMH…

Pseudo celebrity Tila Tequila wasn’t the only one to get attacked by a crowd at the “Gathering of the Juggalos” over the weekend!!

According to TMZ, rapper Method Man was involved in a similar (but not as harsh) incident. Method and his sidekick Redman were performing at the event Sunday night (Aug 15) when someone from the audience threw an object which appeared to be a full can of beer at MM’s face. Whatever the object was…it left Method with a bloody gash under his eye.

But like any true soldier would…MM kept his cool and continued the show telling his sidekick Redman:

“Start the music we’re continuing the show, let’s f**k these motherf**kers up.”

Sounds like The Gathering of the Juggalos ain’t no joke!! But way to show em tho Method!

Rapper/producer Snoop Dogg gave fans in New York City a taste of his new album when he performed live on stage at the Nokia Theater Thursday night (Oct 29) as a part of his “Wonderland High School Tour.”

Accompanied by back-up dancers, an electric guitar, and an turntable, Snoop’s energy spread over the room like smoke, with goodies “The Next Episode,” “P.I.M.P.,” and “Gangsta Luv,” a joint off his new album, Malice N Wonderland. “New York, New York” had the crowd high, but it was The Lady of Rage, with her puffy hair in tow, that really awakened the audience. She blasted off “Afro Puffs” spitting, “I rock rough and stuff with my afro puffs.” She elicited the encouraging chant, “Hey, rock on wit cha bad self!”

Rappers Method Man & Redman also performed at the concert, which is a part of a 12-city tour to promote Snoop’s new album Malice N Wonderland, set to drop December 8th.

Ashanti sure is looking good these days! It’s hard to believe Nelly let all of that go. She and Ja Rule reunited on stage at the 2009 VH1 Hip Hop Honors Wednesday night (Sep 23), which saw performances from Wale, Kid Rock, Method Man & Redman, Eminem and more. The ceremony honored the pioneers of Def Jam along with the people, past and present, who helped create the label and build it into what it is today. Hosted by comedian Tracy Morgan, the show is set to make its television debut only on VH1 on Tuesday, October 13th at 9 pm.

It’s only right that the first Def Jam artist to be honored was the label’s foundation and face for so many years, LL Cool J. The Roots started it off with “Rock the Bells.” Black Thought ripped the first verse of the record, then gave way for a special guest: Eminem. Last year, Slim Shady publicly expressed his love for LL during a phone prank on DJ Tony Touch’s Shade 45 radio show. Spitting the second verse of “Rock the Bells” on Wednesday night, Em sounded almost exactly like the legend who inspired him. “Now I’m worldwide known/ Whether you like it or not/ My one-man band is Cut Creator…/ When he’s on the fader/ What’s my DJ’s name?” “Cut Creator!” The crowd yelled. Later, Kid Rock paid tribute to LL with “I’m Bad.” The Kid also DJed during the show, as did Ed Lover.

The second performance was from one of Def Jam’s signature groups, Public Enemy. Chuck D was immediately electrifying with the opening words for “Rebel Without a Pause”: “Yes, the rhythm, the rebel.” Chuck still has one of the most recognizable and commanding voices in all of music, not just rap. Flavor Flav came out wearing a white tuxedo jacket, matching top hat and a black bow tie. PE arguably had the performance of the night with help from the Roots, S1W and Boots Riley. The Long Island-bred rap chiefs were just born for the stage. The entire crowd was on their feet cheering. After their performance, Flav was seen talking to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan in the audience.

Another bricklaying squad for the house that Russell and Rick built was, undoubtedly, the Beastie Boys. KRS-One, Wale and the Gym Class Heroes did a rocking rendition of “No Sleep Till Brooklyn.” Travis McCoy, who wore a black T-shirt with the names “DJ AM” and “Roc Raida” in the shape of the Run-DMC logo, took on the first verse. The Blastmaster, who is a former HHH honoree himself, took verse two and ended by saying, “Adam, get well soon,” referring to Adam Yauch, who is currently battling cancer. Wale finished off the song and later paid tribute to Kanye West, wearing a backpack and rapping “Touch the Sky.”

When Onyx performed “Slam” it felt like the group had stepped out of a time capsule: They looked almost exactly the same and still had that insane energy that made them famous. During his verse, Sticky Fingaz climbed on top of a large speaker. Rather than climb down when he finished, Stick climbed into the balcony. Other performers included Rick Ross, Fabolous, Foxy Brown, Redman, Method Man, Mary J. Blige, EPMD, Ghostface Killah, Chrissette Michele, Warren G, Trey Songz, the reunion of Ashanti and Ja Rule, Ludacris and DMX — many of whom teamed up with the Roots for a show-closing medley of Def Jam hits.

Offstage, Ja Rule and DMX had their own reunion. The two came up together as close friends and later turned to bitter enemies, even dissing each other on records. As X was walking out, Ja was returning to his seat, and the pair saw each other, hugged and talked for a few moments.

Rappers Method Man and Redman posed for the cameras at the All Points West Music & Arts Festival Pre-Event Kick-Off Party Thursday night (Jul 30) at New York City’s Nokia Theater. The rap duo also took the stage later in the evening.

And yes, we’re well aware of the both of them looking high as hell. Peep the blunt in Redman’s mouth. And they have money, so you know they’re smoking on that good ish… hopefully.

Rocking a fresh pair of Air Yeezy’s, rapper Common took the stage Sunday afternoon (Jul 19) in Wantagh, New York as he performed in front of thousands of fans at the 2009 Rock The Bells concert at the Nikon a Jones Beach Theater. Fellow hip-hop artists Method Man, Nas and Big Boi also performed at the annual concert.

So Method Man and Redman (as a rap duo) are back and they’re finally putting out a sequel to their 1999 Blackout album! It may have taken 10 years, but it was well worth the wait!

Here’s “A-Yo,” (featuring Saukrates) the latest music video from the hip-hop duo. The song itself will be featured on Meth & Red’s upcoming Blackout 2 album, which will be released via Def Jam Records May 19th! Peep the video after the cut.

After it was reported that his truck was reposessed, he said that he remembers receiving the tax notices, dating back all the way to 2002, warning him to pay his personal income taxes worth over $52,000, but he blew them off because he was on the road doing what he loves to be: smoking weed. He said the money part wasn’t the problem. He just never found the time to actually pay them. Wow…

Citing the Wu Tang member for being $52,503 in arrears on his personal income taxes, the state Department of Taxation showed up at the Staten Island native’s home at 6 a.m. March 19 with “four NYPD cops and the repo team,” Meth told us. “I knew why they were there. It wasn’t like ‘Oh my God! Noo!! Don’t take it!’ like it is on that TV show [“Operation Repo”]. I was half-dressed, and it was so early that I just said, ‘Okay, you’re taking the truck. … Aight.’”

The back story, according to the rapper, is simple.

“Myself, I’m a pothead,” he said on the set of a video shoot for his new album, “Blackout 2,” with Redman. “It’s no secret. Everyone knows that. I go on the road and forget everything else. Sure, [the tax department] sent letters to my house saying, ‘We need this money.’ They started sending them in 2002. Here it is, 2009, and I never paid this s— because I don’t think like that!”

“I could have easily just written them a check for whatever amount, but no — I waited until they knocked on this door and were like, ‘We got your truck and we outta here,’?” he laughed.

“Now I’m thinking we’ve gotta get our truck back, which means I have to get all my paperwork together,” the rapper continued. “That means days of going through mail, ’cause I got mail like woah.

I’ve found checks from 2005 that have never been opened yet. And we’re talking a significant amount of money! But I never opened [the tax department’s] letters … so this is how the tax man came to Meth’s house and took his truck. Not because I was broke! I got plenty of money!”
