NY Daily News is reporting that Eddie has actually attempted to get to know his youngest daughter for the first time in her 3 year existence. Apparently, Murphy hosted some big bash at his LA mansion recently and Mel and her husband Stephen Belafonte attended the event with she and Eddie’s little girl in tow:

“All of the children were there for the party, and it appeared that they’re one big happy, blended family,” the source added. “They’ve both said some really nasty things about each other to the press,” says our source. “So needless to say, some guests were shocked.”

“Eddie’s ex-wife Nicole helped them reconcile their issues, too,” the insider said of Murphy’s ex-wife, with whom he has six kids. “Angel is Eddie’s youngest child, and Nicole wanted her children to know her. That helped Eddie to come around and get past all the animosity he had toward Mel.”

We think that it’s nice to see that Eddie Murphy is finally stepping up and accepting the fact that little Angel is indeed his daughter. It’s never too late to start building a relationship with your child, even if you did act like a big ol’ busta in the past…

This week, singer/songwriter Justin Timberlake will be hosting a charity event for the Shriners Children’s Hospital. Over 130 professional goffers will go head-to-head for a $4.2 million pot in his Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. The ultimate winner in the competition will walk away $756,000 richer.

Here Timberlake can be seen getting ready for his attempt to win a $1 million charitable donation to the children’s medical facility by hitting a hole-in-one on a 180-yard, par 3 hole at the Callaway Golf Center Monday (Oct 12) in Las Vegas. He had three chances to make the shot. Unsurprisingly, JT didn’t complete the challenge by making the nearly impossible shot, but a $5,000 donation will be made to the Shriners Hospital Children’s charity anyway.

Following the golf tournament will be a huge concert called “the Justin & Friends” concert, which will see performances from Snoop Dogg, Alicia Keys, Ciara and more.

Actor/comedian Eddie Murphy has made it clear to the public that Melanie Brown (aka Mel B or “Scary Spice”) deliberately tricked him into getting her pregnant. According to The Daily Mail, the former Spice Girls singer stressed to the actor that she was on birth contol, and Eddie claims that the former couple only had sex 3 times. And although he accepts the fact that Angel Iris Murphy-Brown is indeed his daughter, a source close to Eddie says that he will not see her until she’s 18 years old. Why? Because he doesn’t want to set eyes on Mel.

“What was supposed to be a casual relationship ended with her having his baby and taking him to court for millions,” a source told The National Enquirer. “He says he will have to wait until Angel is older before he can get to know her without any interference from her mother.”

So basically the two were only supposed to be “friends with benefits” and home girl took it to another level by lying about her being on birth control. While I can’t (and won’t) take sides on this situation, I will say that they BOTH are wrong. She shouldn’t have lied to him, telling him that she was on the pill, when she knew she wasn’t. Or even if she was, if she stopped taking her birth control just so that she could cash in on the man’s fortunes by having a baby with him, that’s wrong as well. And as far as the situation on Eddie’s side goes, he had no business having unprotected sex with someone if he didn’t want to have a baby with them. Fellas, unless a woman is your wife, you should never trust the “I’m on birth control” nonsense.

Regardless of the circumstance, Eddie needs to step up to the plate and be a father to this baby. The little girl should not go through the next 18 years with some other man raising her. In the long run, Eddie will regret this.

Leaving your 2-month-old daughter with your cleaner for four days while you get hitched in Las Vegas doesn’t sound like great parenting skills, even by Hollywood standards. But that’s the claim made by the former housekeeper of Melanie Brown, who is involved in a rumored $9 million child support battle with baby-daddy Eddie Murphy. Tonia Lamere says Spice Girl Mel B left young Angel Iris with her while she eloped to Sin City with Stephen Belafonte.

“One evening of baby-sitting turned into four days!” Lamere tells Star magazine. “The child was sick, there was no nanny, and when Mel called, she never even asked about the baby.” Lamere also claims she was forced to buy food for baby Iris and her older half-sister (Phoenix Chi, 8) out of her own pocket during the four days Brown was away. Brown’s rep, however, says the whole story smells of green. “Melanie is a hands-on mother completely dedicated to the upbringing of her children and the well-being of her entire family,” she told us yesterday. “Any fictitious accusations to the contrary stem from greedy people looking to make a buck.” [ NY DAILY NEWS ]
