Kelly Rowland has been estranged from her biological father Christopher Lovett for more than 20 years and has never had a father figure in her life.

And you would think that since Kelly calls her former Destiny’s Child bandmate Beyonce her sister….then she would naturally consider Beyonce’s father Mathew Knowles as her own father figure. But apparently that’s not the case.

In Kelly’s cover story for the latest issue of JET magazine (on newsstands now), the R&B singer reveals that she plans on meeting her real dad, who has battled alcoholism throughout his life and hasn’t seen his daughter since she was seven, for the first time in over two decades for the upcoming Holiday season.

“I think every little girl wants to be a darling in her father’s eyes, and I’m going to get the opportunity to meet my biological father, so we’ll see what happens” the 30-year-old star, who was raised by her mother, admits. “That’s all I can say because I’m going to meet someone I haven’t seen in more than 20 years. In my heart I have forgiven him.”

When asked about her former manager Mathew Knowles, who is the father of her sister/best friend Beyonce, and whether he played that father role in her life, Rowland responded:

“Well, I am so thankful I was able to have my mom and Tina (Knowles), as well as wonderful women in my life, so I’m happy about that.”

Just as Beyonce is being questioned about her own pregnancy … more controversy surrounding the superstar and her family has emerged, thanks to her father Mathew Knowles‘ baby mama and former mistress Alexsandra Wright.

In a brand new exclusive interview with Star Magazine, Wright claims that when Mathew found out she was pregnant, he asked her to give up the child they conceived together during their illicit affair, which according to rumors, went on for 18 months, to Beyonce and her rap superstar husband Jay-Z to raise on their own.

“My first thought when he asked me if I would give up our child to Beyonce and Jay-Z was, ‘Are you out of your mind?’ Nothing in the world, no amount of money would make me give up my child, you can’t buy my child from me!” Alexsandra recalled.

“I don’t know why he suggested it,” she continued. “Maybe Mathew thought money could buy anything.”

Wright also said that after she rejected Mathew’s outrageous request, he offered her money to leave his name off the birth certificate, which she also rejected.

Despite the fact that Mathew and Alexsandra had been living together in Beverly Hills (while he was still married to Beyonce’s mother Tina Knowles), he adamantly denied that he was the father of her unborn baby, so she filed a paternity suit in October 2009 when she was 6 months pregnant.

She went on to win the suit, and a judge ordered Mathew to pay $8,200 per month in child support. Shortly afterward, Mathew’s wife Tina, after 30 years of marriage, filed for divorce, which was followed by Beyonce ending her business relationship with him months later.

Alexsandra says she believes that Beyonce knew nothing of her father’s crazy scheme to clear his image.

“I don’t believe that Beyonce or anybody else has a clue about what was flying out of Mathew’s mouth,” she insisted. “I don’t think it was anybody but Mathew.”

Alexsandra says Mathew, who she claims desperately wanted the child and “prayed for a boy,” has never even met his now 20 month old son, but her new boyfriend Harvey Wheldon (of “Celebrity Fit Club” fame) has stepped in and is raising little Nixon as his own.

After being fired from Beyonce‘s management team just a few weeks back, Mathew Knowles is speaking out for the first time, denying that he stole money from his multi-million dollar daughter. And he’s filed a lawsuit to prove his case!

“We absolutely have not taken any money from Beyonce, and all dollars will be accounted for,” he told The Associated Press in an interview Thursday afternoon. “In no way have we stole money. Again, this about the people who have made these claims — they have to come into the light.”

Knowles insists that he still has an amicable relationship with his daughter, but alleges that the people around her have tried to destroy his reputation with the theft allegations.

So he has filed papers in a Texas court this week alleging that members of his superstar daughter’s camp, including her label Columbia records, Live Nation Entertainment Inc. and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation imprint, have made “negative comments” about him.

“The relationship with Beyonce is extremely amicable. I want to make that clear. Where there’s concern is the people that she’s doing business with,” he said. “I’m challenging all of these folks on integrity, professional integrity.”

After Beyonce fired her dad, she put together an entirely new team, Mathew says. “She changed almost every aspect of her business. The team ironically appeared to be a cross-pollination of Beyonce’s team, Roc Nation’s team, and Live Nation’s team, who ironically have the most to gain.”

So was Mathew Knowles deliberately deleted from the equation? “I’ll let people come to their own conclusion,” he said.

While Knowles hasn’t spoken to his daughter specifically about the allegations (yet), he did tell her this: “The only way we will be able to understand this is through a court of law. That’s the only way either one of us will be clear if someone in our camps did something that was not correct.”

Beyonce’s new album “4″ debuted at the top of the charts last month, but it has failed to produce a hit single. Mathew Knowles blames her camp and her label for that. “They put out the record in a vacuum,” he said, adding that her success came despite setbacks.

“It makes you believe that there are some artists that don’t need radio. There are some records that don’t need a record label, and Beyonce is one of those artists,” he said.

Beyonce’s reps have yet to respond to anything regarding this matter.

Mathew Knowles is accused of stealing money from his superstar daughter Beyonce … and according to a new report from TMZ, this is the reason behind her letting him go as her manager earlier this year!

Beyonce’s father has now filed legal docs against Live Nation on allegations that the company told Beyonce that he had stolen money from her on her most recent tour or “otherwise taken fund that [he] was not entitled to.”

Once Live Nation allegedly revealed to Beyonce that her dad was stealing money from her … she promptly had her law firm conduct an audit that determined he had indeed pocketed some extra cash. She immediately fired him and hired a former Live Nation executive to fill his spot.

Mathew insists the theft accusations by Live Nation are false, and he wants the judge to give him the right to take depositions of various people at Live Nation, to determine just how they concluded he was a thief, TMZ reports.

The show aired on GMC last night on Easter Sunday (Apr 24).

Looks like all is well between Mathew and Michelle!

The Music World Entertainment CEO, who recently parted ways with his daughter Beyonce after being her manager throughout her entire career, recently sat down with Black Enterprise and talked about a wide range of topics, including his next next move, the music business and how he strategically split with Beyonce. Definitely an interesting read.

BlackEnterprise.com: You’re a film producer, songwriter, philanthropist, professor, label owner, artist manager and so much more. Is there anything left for Mathew Knowles to do?
(Laughs) Thank you for that acknowledgement. Most people don’t realize the depth of what I’ve been fortunate to accomplish. I’ve had a wonderful journey coming from Gadsen, Alabama, living on a dirt road, in a small house with an outdoor bathroom, and I plan to continue to grow.

You’ve set the blueprint for R&B girl groups with Destiny’s Child and R&B/pop phenoms with Beyonce, yet you’ve expressed interest in solely focusing on gospel/inspirational music. Why have you chosen to ditch secular music?
First of all, I never use the word “secular” because I believe there are just different genres of music. The reason I chose to focus on faith-based and inspirational music is because of the message and hope and it gives people. Folks, especially young people today, want hope. [Music World’s] goal is to get that message across to the masses. There’s tremendous growth potential for the faith-based inspirational community in digital, production, branding, endorsements and merchandising. I believe we can share 20 years of knowledge and successes to make that growth happen.

After 20 years working as a successful team, you and your No. 1 artist—daughter Beyonce—decided to part ways. As her father and manager, will not having her under your wing be a difficult transition for you?
Interesting enough, the transition started way before the official announcement. If you’re strategic, which we are, you don’t make a decision like that before you start dialogue. That dialogue started nine months ago. At the end of the day, I’m Beyonce’s father first and her manager second. Remember, this is 20 years I’ve been doing this. She’s almost 30 years old, and if she says, “I want to run my business,” I think she’s smart enough that she will get the right team. Beyonce is smart enough to know what she knows and what she doesn’t know, and that takes an even smarter person to admit that. And she knows she can call me anytime. It takes a lot of hours and a lot of staff to run the business of Beyonce. (Laughs)

How has Beyonce’s departure affected Music World’s momentum and relevance?
To give that comparison I evaluate my email activity, which has gone up 100 emails today. Now I’m really focused and I have activated myself in such a way to embrace new opportunities. I’m so grateful and blessed to have had so many successes. I pinch myself sometimes to think of this country boy who has accomplished so much—my career at Xerox [as] the No. 1 sales rep, having talented daughters and a wife, the creation of Destiny’s Child, a No. 1 female artist. And I don’t know if folks know this but of all the artists in the world in a decade, Destiny’s Child and Beyonce are on that Top 10 list. I’ve achieved and accomplished more that I could have ever imagined.

What advice do you give people starting out in the music business?
My number one piece of advice for any of my artists is that your reason for doing music has to be passion. If it isn’t, you won’t be successful because passion rules this industry. After passion, you must have an incredible work ethic because there will be a lot of rejection. I still have some of the rejection letters for Destiny’s Child. I’d say almost every major label rejected them until they got a production deal with Elektra and were eventually dropped. But rejection shouldn’t discourage you because a “no” only means you didn’t present something the right way or you really need to go and get better.

What do you tell those talents who think they don’t need improvement?
Essentially, I’ve never heard a songwriter say his song was average or an artist say, “This is an average song and it’s a hit!” (Laughs) How do you know it’s a hit? Every artist says, “I’m the bomb and we gonna make a lot of money!” The first thing I educate them about is the numbers. According to the statistics, less than one percent of artists worldwide are successful. This is why record labels have to have a 360 deal, because it can’t survive on record sales alone nowadays. Some people think it’s unfair; but why should I take a risk investing a million dollars in an artist to make him successful and not benefit in the revenue streams?

So as a label owner and manager, you support the 360 deal?
Yes, I do. True story: I invested a million dollars into The O’Jays, a group whose career had stalled, and while their album sales might not have been what we hoped, my investment helped to reactivate their touring career and increase public awareness of their latest project. So should I not try to recoup as much of my investment? From a management perspective, I agree with [Alicia Keys's manager] Jeff Robinson. If a label is not an active participant in securing other lucrative business deals, then they should not benefit 100%. Perhaps they would get a smaller percentage for their passive participation in [brokering] outside deals for the artists and a larger one when they have actively participated. There’s a difference between passive participation and active participation.

So after achieving Music World domination—literally and figuratively, what’s next?
(Laughs) One of the things this [decision] has allowed me to do is reduce my overhead and now personally focus on our gospel/inspirational label and to take some days off and some more relaxing time. Even more importantly, I can look at other opportunities. I wouldn’t be surprised if one day we land another A-list R&B client or Destiny’s Child (whom we still manage) goes on tour or puts out a commemorative box set that includes everything about them that their lifelong fans want.

In parting, how do you wish to be remembered?
I hope people say, “Here is a man who was really there for his kids and who grew and learned from his failures, not his successes.”

It’ll be interesting to see what comes of Mathew Knowles and his career now that he no longer has arguably the biggest superstar in the world right now on his roster of artists.

Formerly managed by Ciara’s manager, Philana Williams, young R&B starlet Tiffany Evans has parted ways with her manager Mathew Knowles.

In a statement released via Twitter, the “Promise Ring” singer said:

The Announcement that I was going to make is that I am No Longer Managed by Mathew Knowles. In all honestly, it was a Great Learning Experience but the BEST decision was made for me. I appreciate so much the support that Music World family has shown me but feel at this stage in my career to go a different direction with my choice in management. I am so very pleased with it and I can’t begin to tell you how I feel I am and the excitement behind what is going on with my project now! I truly know NOW that this is the start of a great journey in my career! Can’t wait to share the OTHER exciting news! Love you #TeamTiff! Cheers to success!

Geez … first Beyonce and now Tiffany. What is happening over at Music World Ent?!?

Knowles has managed Beyonce’s career ever since she hit the scene as the lead singer of Destiny’s Child back in the late 1990′s and throughout her career as a solo superstar. In the statement, Beyonce says that she is grateful for the role her father played in her career.

“I’ve only parted ways with my father on a business level. He is my father for life and I love my dad dearly. I am grateful for everything he has taught me.”

In a separate statement, Mathew Knowles confirmed the split and also revealed that he would be discontinuing his relationship with R&B singer Tiffany Evans.

The decision for Beyoncé and Music World Entertainment to part was mutual. We did great things together, and I know that she will continue to conquer new territories in music and entertainment. Currently, I am very focused on the tremendous investment that our record label has made in the gospel/inspirational genre of music and on our supremely talented roster of artists, including Trin-i-tee 5:7, Brian Courtney Wilson, Juanita Bynum, Micah Stampley, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Pastor Rudy and others.

Music World will continue its partnership with Sony with Destiny’s Child and UK female group From Above, as well as management. We will also continue to develop the Music World family of labels: Music World Country/Compadre, Music World Kids and Music World Music. In Music World’s repositioning it will not continue its label/management role with Columbia/Sony artist Tiffany Evans.

Business is business and family is family. I love my daughter and am very proud of who she is and all that she has achieved. I look forward to her continued great success.

We also look forward to the big “surprise” announcement that Beyonce will be joining Rihanna, Willow Smith, J. Cole and everyone else at Roc Nation. Can’t say we didn’t see this coming though. First it was Michelle. Then Kelly smartened up, and now Beyonce has left the reigns of Mathew Knowles.

Around this time last year it was reported that Tina Knowles was filing for divorce from her husband Mathew Knowles, after Mathew was hit with a paternity suit from a woman named Alexsandra Wright. Following a DNA test, Mathew was later determined to be the father of Wright’s son Nixon, and was ordered to pay child support.

But in spite of all of that, it seems as though Matt & Tina have kissed and made up! According to TMZ, the married couple gonna stay just that….married. Details are below:

A trial was supposed to take place yesterday in Harris County, Texas, but nobody showed up, so the judge dismissed the case. It’s unclear if Tina and Mathew have reconciled … or just forgot to show up, but we’re guessing since they both were lawyered up they didn’t just forget to show … rather, they made a conscious decision to drop the divorce. Here goes another rumor bust! Despite popular demand, R&B group Destiny’s Child will not be reuniting any time soon. The group’s former manager Mathew Knowles (Beyonce’s dad) dismissed all of the rubbish via an official statement.

“Contrary to rumors online of a Destiny’s Child reunion, there are no plans for the group to reunite for a performance or album. The rumors are false. Destiny’s Child made an unprecedented impact in contemporary music, becoming one of the best-selling groups of all time. Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams have each moved on to successful solo careers. The members remain close, but will not reunite as a group.”

We already knew that there was no way in hell Destiny Child would be getting back together anytime soon. Glad Mr. Knowles could clear that up!

It’s official. Beyonce and Solange have a brand new little brother and Mathew Knowles has that son that he’s always wanted. Over the past few months, following Knowles’ divorce from his wife Tina Knowles, there’ve been talks about a certain illegitimate child named Nixon, who was the result of an 18-month affair between Mathew and a woman named Alexsandra Wright.

Well of course Mr. Knowles wanted proof that the child was actually his, so he requested a DNA test and TMZ has received word that the test came back positive:

With the DNA test a match, we’re told lawyers for Knowles and Wright are in the final stages of negotiating a settlement for baby Nixon’s child support. Wright filed a paternity suit last October against Knowles — who was temporarily ordered to pay $8,200 in monthly child support. Wright claims she had an 18 month affair with Knowles.

Welp, we guess his marriage can be officially considered O-V-A. There’s no way Tina’s taking him back now that it’s 100% confirmed that he’s the father of a child that isn’t hers, SMH…

Though a paternity test is still pending, an L.A. judge ordered Mathew Knowles to pay up for his alleged newborn son Nixon (pictured above). According to TMZ, the judge ordered Knowles to pay $8,200 per month in child support, in addition to 100% of uninsured medical costs.

A woman named Alexsandra Wright claims that Mathew is the father of her newborn son Nixon, who was born February 4th. And apparently, little Nixon is the result of an 18-month affair between Wright and Knowles. Alexsandra’s lawyer asked the judge for financial support from Mathew, who technically didn’t “confirm” that he’s the child’s father, but back in January gave Alexsandra $10,000 to cover her immediate medical costs, which proves that there’s a really good chance that Mathew is the baby’s daddy.

A DNA test is set to take place on March 1st to determine the newborn’s paternity, but in the meantime, Knowles was still ordered to pay child support, backdated to February 1st in addition to the baby’s extra expenses and uninsured medical bills. It’s unknown whether or not the judge will order that Knowles pay more if he’s determined to be the child’s father.

Furthermore, the judge ordered Mathew to pay his alleged baby mama $20,750 for the month of January.

Well what do ya know. Mathew Knowles (Beyonce and Solange’s daddy) really did father an illegitimate child while he was married to Tina, which prompted her to file for divorce last fall.

Sources say that Alexsandra Wright had a paternity test done recently after giving birth to her daughter, and Mathew Knowles is indeed the father. No word on how Bey Bey, Tina or Solange are taking the news of their newest family member, but we’re sure they aren’t too happy. It is said that Tina’s recent file for divorce was due to Mathew’s cheating.

Wright — who filed a paternity suit against Mathew Knowles back in October — gave birth last Thursday to a baby boy. The name … Nixon. Priceless. Wright — who once appeared on “Scrubs” — claims she had a relationship with Knowles that lasted 18 months. And, sources say, Wright claims she and Mathew picked out the baby name together. We’re guessing they were watching “Frost/Nixon.”

Sources tell us Wright has a court date next week in an attempt to dislodge some support money from Mathew. We’re told Alexsandra hasn’t gotten a penny from Mathew for the baby. Mathew Knowles’ rep tells TMZ, “We are not aware of the birth of a child. Mr. Knowles has never had a DNA test. These rumors are untrue.”

Looks like Michelle Williams is going to follow in Kelly Rowland‘s footsteps and has decided to part ways with Music World, Mathew Knowle ‘ management/artist devolopment company.

“After much prayer and consideration I have decided to part ways from my management team, Mathew Knowles and Music World Entertainment,” Michelle said in a statement. “From my time in Destiny’s Child to my solo career, I am grateful for everything Mathew and his team has done for me. We’ve shared great success together. However, as I move in a new direction in my career, I felt it was time. I wish Mathew Knowles and the Music World Entertainment family all the best.”

Go girls! We think that this is a good move.

We were one of the first to report that after 29 years of marriage, Beyonce and Solange‘s parents Tina and Mathew Knowles were getting a divorce and now the former couple has released an official statement confirming the news:

“The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one. We remain friends, parents, and business partners. If anyone is expecting an ugly messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter.”

Tina apparently filed for divorce from Mathew shortly after word got out that he had an illegitimate child on the way. According to official divorce court records, Papa Knowles was served on November 16th. In addition, the pair had been legally separated as of January 2009. What will be most interesting about this all is how they will split their fortune, which (for the most part) can be accredited to the success of their oldest daughter Beyonce.

Meanwhile, a friend of the family says that the divorce has been “unraveling for some time” and had nothing to do with Mathew’s affair, which turned public in October 2009 after reports hit the Internet that he had gotten a women (who is not Tina) pregnant.

“It’s a rough time for the family — especially over the holidays,” the source tells Us. “The kids are sad, but it’s been unraveling for some time.” And while infidelity reports have circulated, the pal clarifies that the divorce “really wasn’t about affairs.” Instead, Tina, 55, and Mathew, 58, simply “drifted apart” and led “busy, separate lives.” (Mathew manages his daughters’ music careers, while Tina heads up the House of Dereon fashion line with Beyonce.) “They will try to make it cordial. They put their kids first, and will still be around each other.”

Looks like Tina and Mathew are becoming the next Joe and Katherine (minus the divorce). We were tipped off from a seemingly reliable source that Beyonce and Solange‘s parents are getting divorced! And just in time for the Holidays.

Tina, who goes by Celestine when the courts are involved, has filed for divorce from Mathew. Documents were actually filed last month and Mathew was officially served his walking papers on the 16th of November. All of this is pretty new info so stay tuned and keep checking back for more!

PROPS: ALL EYES ON WHO

There may be another child joining the Knowles clan, but not by the woman we know as Tina Knowles! Beyonce and Solange‘s father, Mathew Knowles has had a paternity suit filed against him by TV actress Alexandra Wright. Wright is in her late 30s, lives in LA, and has appeared as a guest in shows like “Scrubs” and “JAG.” She has been pregnant for six months and has hired attorney Neal Hersh to handle the case.

Mathew Knowles has been married to Tina Knowles since 1980 (and are now separated), but we’re not so surprised. There have always been scandals involving Mathew but they’ve always been resolved outside of the court so we can’t wait to see his this one pans out.
