Despite being revered worldwide for her chart topping hits, Alicia Keys has for some time now been synonymous with the word “homewrecker” since she and her now husband Swizz Beats went public with their relationship back in 2010.

According to Swizzy’s ex-wife Mashonda, Keys is responsible for the break-up of their marriage because she allegedly pursued him while the two were still married. However, after keeping silent on the matter for so long, Keys finally tells her side of the story in her cover story for the June  2011 issue of Essence Magazine.

On her husband Swizz Beatz and their 6-and-a-half-month-old son Egypt:
“I was very closed for a long time. But I feel so open now. To feel open like this means you’ve found the center in yourself. You’re not hiding; you’re not worried about anything. Everything’s going to be just fine.”

On her step-children (Swizz has three kids from previous relationships):
“‘Kasseem is very present in his children’s lives. I wouldn’t be able to love him otherwise. We are doing what is best for the children.”

On Swizz’s ex-wife Mashonda’s allegations that Alicia broke up their marriage:
“We didn’t start seeing each other until months after they had separated. I was aware of all the false things that were being said about me, it definitely hurt. I was sure that if I engaged, it would become back-and-forth like some sick entertainment, which goes against everything I believe and would have made things worse.”

Honestly, at this point we don’t know who to believe. There’s always three sides to every story: One person’s side, the other’s, and then there’s the truth!

Mashonda’s Wikipedia page was hacked by a cyber troll earlier this week, and the unknown miscreant wrote all kinds of nasty things about the R&B singer, who recently went through a nasty divorce from producer/rapper Swizz Beatz. On the very first line of the article, it reads: “Mashonda is a relatively unknown American singer formerly signed to Full Surface/J Records.” It goes on to say:

“Mashonda has one child, and is the ex-wife of a highly successful music producer. This celebrity producer was finally able to divorce her after years of unhappiness in the relationship caused by her obsessive jealously & delusional tendencies. In the summer of 2010 she claimed to be dating, but this has yet to be confirmed as no man has stepped up to claim her as their mate or admit to being involved with her.”

And it doesn’t stop there. There’s a lot more! The page has since been fixed by Wikipedia officials, but someone was able to take some screenshots before all of the trashy remarks were all removed.

Swizz Beatz‘ ex-wife Mashonda is still talking about the behind the scenes foolishness that went down with her relationship and it gets weirder and weirder every time she brings up something new. This time, Mashonda is speaking out against her ex-husband’s brand new wife Alicia Keys, and talking about how the R&B singer/songwriter asked their 3-year-old son Kasseem Jr. (along with Swizzy’s newfound daughter) to call her “Umi,” which means “Mommy” in Arabic!

Yup, that’s right! Your favorite “Super Woman” actually asked her husband’s young children (and her step children) to call her MOMMY! Mashonda talks about that and more in her cover story for the October issue of S2S Magazine. Check out a few snippets from the feature below:

On Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz’ affair

S2S: Were you guys dating other people before he got with Alicia? Were you guys separated?
Mashonda: We were married. Sleeping in the same bed and having sex every night while he was seeing Alicia. Okay? It was an affair. 100 percent. I don’t know why people want to change that rule so much. We had just had a kid, for crying out loud. Our child was 8 months. I found out about Alicia two days before my son turned 1. They had been doing their thing for months before that.

On Alicia asking Kasseem Jr. to call her “Mommy”

S2S: You said that Alicia wanted your baby to call her “mommy”. How do you know that she said that?
Mashonda: My son told me.

S2S: And you told her that is not going to happen?
Mashonda: Yeah. I sent her an email and asked her to please respect what I am to him and it’s not right for her to think that is okay. She never replied. She doesn’t reply to me. She has never given me that respect.

S2S: What does Swizz say?
Mashonda: He said okay, he would stop it. He wouldn’t let her do it.

S2S: That would be kind of confusing for the child.
Mashonda: Oh, it is. It is so unfair to the child. I have been in contact with the little girls mother (the woman in England who has Swizz’s baby). She’s a young girl. She’s a spiritual girl. She apologized to me… I don’t even judge her. I can’t. She’s totally different than the other one. This other one knew. Alicia knew about me 100 percent. Swizz introduced me at prior events. They were signed to the same record company. She knew. And I emailed her and asked her to stop doing what she was doing and she disregarded me. Just like she disregarded me when I asked her to not have my son thinking it was okay to call her “umi.” You’re not his umi. You just met my son.

S2S: “Umi” is like “mommy”?
Mashonda: “Umi” means “mommy” in Arabic. I’m like no. And then after I spoke to the lady in London, she told me that she tried to get her daughter to call her “umi” as well.

S2S: She’s met the lady in London?
Mashonda: Yes. I’m glad she’s having her own child now because now she will have someone to call her “umi”.

S2S: Wow.
Mashonda: Like, if you want to be a stepmother, that’s great. Be a stepmother. But don’t think that it’s okay to make a kid call you “umi” or “mommy.”

On why she’s still talking about Alicia & Swizzy if she says she’s moved on

Mashonda: People ask me why am I still talking about this and why don’t I just leave it alone. I’m like, this is going to help somebody. My story is a universal thing. This is not just something that only happened to me: This happens to women every day. Mine was just ugly. If I can help the next woman get through and be positive, then I’m going to talk about it.

WOW!! We can’t believe Alicia Keys would actually do something so low down and dirty! You are NOT those children’s mother, you are their STEP-MOTHER. Learn your role and just be patient for that seed of yours to make its arrival. Then you can have him/her calling you “Umi” or “Mommy” or “Mammy” or whatever you want all damn day long…

Swizz Beatz‘ ex wife Mashonda is finally opening up after months of drama and chatter surrounding Swizz leaving her to be with Alicia Keys, who is also pregnant with his baby and has his engagement ring on her finger. Mashonda told Vibe that it was important for her to have a sit-down with Alicia to see where each other was coming from, mainly because Alicia was going to be around her son and she wasn’t fond of having folks she doesn’t know around her kid.

Up until now, no one knew that Mashonda and Alicia Keys had a sit-down to talk about the situation and what-not. Here’s what Mashonda told Vibe:

Vibe: I know it was very important for you to sit down with Alicia if she was going to be around your son. Safe to assume that happened?
Mashonda: When I wrote her that Twitter letter everybody wanted to say things like ‘Oh, what do you need to meet her for? It’s not her problem, it’s Swizz’s.” I’m like, ‘You have a kid, go through what I went through and then talk to me.’ I’m not having my son around anybody I don’t know. I don’t give a [fig] who you are and how much money you have and what management he’s going to be under when he visits you. I need to see you and I need you to see how serious I am about him. And that’s what happened. We had to sit down, and I told her how I felt. I didn’t mention anything else, it was all about my son and it was fine after that. I’m not going sit and talk to [them] about what happened between the three of us. This is about my son.

We are glad to see that Mashonda and Alicia Keys were able to talk in person and get some things straight. At this point, it is what it is.

Damn, just 2 weeks after Swizz Beats finalized his divorce with Mashonda, she is already back on the prowl looking for ways to make his life as miserable as possible. She is taking the super producer back to court because he is supposedly late on spousal/child support payments.

Here’s what The NY Post said:

The ink’s not even dry on their divorce yet, but hip-hop producer — and soon-to-be Mr. Alicia Keys — Swizz Beatz and his ex-wife are heading back to court. In papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Mashonda Dean says the man who officially became her ex-husband two weeks ago already owes her $334,000 in missed payments. “I so much wanted both of us to get on with our lives and maintain our respect for one another, but he now shows that his priorities and sense of responsibility are screwed up,” Dean said.

Dean’s lawyer, Bernard Clair, called the nonpayment “particularly troubling” because of reports that Beatz bought a seven-carat engagement ring for Keys earlier this year and that they’re moving into a $14.5 million duplex penthouse on Crosby Street. Beatz told The Post his ex’s allegations that he owes $325,000 in equitable distribution and $9,000 in alimony and child support are “inaccurate” and “overblown,” and said that he’s gone “above and beyond” to provide for her and their 3-year-old son, Kasseem Jr.

He said he’d agreed to pay Dean more than the judge required and much more than his lawyer recommended — he even had to sign court papers acknowledging that he was going against his attorney’s advice. “I gave over what the judge was recommending to give. I gave her $700,000 up front, because I thought $200,000 wasn’t enough for what she wanted to do. I still get spit in my face for it,” he said. He suggested that the subsequent payments had been ready to go when he discovered “she’d been selling all my stuff out of my house.”

Clair said the only items his client sold were some remote-controlled vehicles the producer had left behind after movers took out his belongings.” The two sides are due back in court next month. The 31-year-old will reportedly tie the knot with the stunning “Empire State of Mind” singer Keys this summer.

Now this is somewhat shocking and should be embarrassing for Swizz’ new boo Alicia Keys. Could it be that Swizz has been “high-siding” and may be heading down the same path as Scott Storch did when he was forced to file bankruptcy last year?

The divorce between rapper/producer Swizz Beatz and his estranged wife Mashonda is now final!

According to recent reports, the judge presiding over the case finally signed the papers as of last Friday (May 7). And now that the divorce is 100% final, Mashonda, plans on putting out a book about her life with the help of NY Times best selling author Aliya S. King, who also collaborated with Faith Evans and Frank Lucas on their respective memoirs.

Mashonda is also said to be in talks with a few production companies for her own reality show and has been entertaining a few offers but nothing solid has been set up just yet. The YBF says that the former singer turned down a show deal with VH1 where she would star alongside fellow singer Olivia and celebrity stylist Misa Hylton.

Swizz Beatz and his estranged wife Mashonda threw a lavish party at FAO Schwarz in New York City for their son Kasseem‘s third birthday this past weekend. It’s good to see that the couple were able to put their differences aside and help their little one celebrate his big day.

Looks like the issues surrounding this “love triangle” between Swizz Beatz, his soon-to-be ex wife (and mother of his child) Mashonda and his new woman, Alicia Keys, have reared their ugly head again! Though Beatz and Keys (that sounds funny together, haha!) have yet to publicly announce that they’re knocking boots, anybody who follows either of the two know what’s going down behind closed doors. They’re always at events together, send mushy messages to each other on Twitter and have even been spotted by the paparazzi enjoying an intimate evening.

Well now Mashonda’s fed up with the whole situation and has decided to put A. Keys on front street for allegedly assisting in the failure of her 5-year marriage. Here’s a message she sent to Alicia the other day on Twitter.

After having a great evening with my son and enjoying some fun twit chat, I decided to sign off and get some work done. However, a few hours later I was advised that I should check @aliciakeys twit page. I’ve never reached out to her on twitter before. I feel our issues are a lot more serious than a website conversation. Not to mention that I’ve reached out to her many times in the beginning of this whole thing, as any wife would do. Unfortunately, I never succeeded in getting a response. The 1st time I meet AK, my husband introduced us to each other at an event. ( I have no choice but to call him my husband, until he is not anymore) In the messages that I sent to her (AK), I made it very clear that on the contrary of what she might be hearing, I am still married to my husband, living with him and just had a child. Its been two years and I still have not received a response. What I do receive, is constant displays of selfishness and disconcern to me and my son.

I was a fan of AK’s last album, we were both signed to J Records and I always checked up on her projects. I sang her songs and admired her for creating Superwoman and Karma, I would never deny her, her talent. I believed in her until I found out she was possibly sleeping with my husband. The affair was denied by both, until it was finally admitted months later.

Already I can hear some of you saying ” why are u blaming her, You cant make someone leave their wife, You cant break something thats broken”. Well, my marriage was not broken, as far as I knew we were celebrating our sons birth and getting ready to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary . Call it blind love, whatever. I call it being a devoted wife.. As far as me blaming her and not blaming him, thats false. Me and my husband have worked out our differences. We are in a good place as people and as parents. I accept his choices and I am comfortable enough with myself to move on. I am so very blessed in many ways.

My concern with AK is no longer the fact that she assisted in destroying a family but that she has the audacity to make these selfish comments about love and wanting to be with someone, even after knowing their situation. How is this the same Superwoman that I sang out loud with in my truck? I ask myself sometimes.

If you are reading this Alicia, let me start by saying, you know what you did. You know the role you played and you know how you contributed to the ending of my marriage. You know that I asked you to step back and let me handle my family issues. Issues that you helped to create.
Im not saying everything was perfect all the time but no relationship is perfect. We made a vow to God and I believe you should have respected that, as a woman. I know you owe me or my son nothing but I just wish you would’ve handled things more carefully. I’m not judging you, I put you and the whole situation in the hands of God, the Higher Power. Just know that as a woman, I expected so much more from you. I never had intentions on reaching out to you this way but after reading your twits tonight, and the constant disregard, you left me no choice. I feel that after 1 and a half years of you hiding this affair and acting like it doesnt exist, that now is the time to confront it, since you talk so openly about it now

This is not a publicity stunt, I dont have a record coming out. I just need to close this chapter in my life and that means confronting our issues. There is a small child involved. His dad loves him to death and he wants to spend more time with him but hes afraid because he knows we don’t have a relationship. This is my main concern. My son NEEDS his dad and I NEED to be comfortable with you. For him!

I know many will see my point and many will not be able to look into what’s real because they only want to see Alicia Keys the celebrity, not the human. This is not for the “people”, this is for you. Like I said I was left no choice but to reach out to you this way. By now, Im sure you want to find a balance in this as well.

I read your tweets tonight and I felt they were very insensitive. You have no idea how much pain I was caused because of this affair. Its baffling to me that you don’t understand what I might have gone through with this situation. I dont consider myself a victim anymore, Ive learned alot from this! I just ask you to try and be a bit more realistic and delicate to the situation, at least until my divorce is final. I felt me attending the party would have been a starting point for us, since you shook my hand after I offered it, but I suppose I was wrong.

If its so, that you and my husband are meant to be together, then God bless you both and I hope you never have to deal with what I did. I would not wish it on my worst enemy. If you two being together forever is the case, its more of a reason for us to get along, because I’m not going anywhere. Theres a child to be raised.

Swizz and Mashonda got married in 2004 and have a 2 year old son (born in Jan. 2007). They divorced in April 2009 but the legalities of the settlement haven’t been straightened out just yet, even though Swizz and Alicia have been getting very comfortable with each other recently.
