Lots of celebrities showed up on the red carpet of the 2011 Espy Awards in Los Angeles Wednesday (Jul 13).

Among the big names who posed for pics as they arrived at the Nokia Theater were Justin Bieber, Serena Williams, Matt Kemp, Maria Sharapova, Jason Kidd, Kerry Washington, Hank Baskett and Kendra Wilkson, and plenty more.

The 2011 Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards were held Monday (Feb 21) in Santa Monica, CA.

Some of the celebrities who walked the red carpet before entering the Barker Hangar to catch Cartoon Network’s first-ever sports awards show were R&B diva Monica, tennis phenom Venus Williams, pro skateboarder Tony Hawk, NFL player Terrell Owens, rapper Nelly, R&B newcomer Miguel, WNBA player Lisa Leslie and others. The show airs tomorrow (Fri. Feb 25) at 7 PM on Cartoon Network.

The 2010 ESPY Awards were held yesterday (Wed. Jul 14) in Los Angeles, CA. And celebs like Amber Rose, Mario (who brought along his new girlfriend Dez), Terrell Owens, Chris Bosh, Kenyon Martin, Hank Baskett & Kendra Wilkinson, Zac Efron and more all walked the red carpet before making their way into the Nokia Theater L.A. Live for the ESPYs, which, hosted by sports network ESPN, honors the best athletes and teams in the world of sports. Reggie Bush also attended the Espys Wednesday evening, but chose not to arrive to the show with his rumored new girlfriend Amber Rose, who made her presence known on the red carpet with a bright yellow dress.

The 2010 Espys also featured a performance from singer Janelle Monae, who also participated in a funny skit with actor/comedian Will Ferrell (equipped with one of those loud, annoying vuvuzelas). The 2010 BET Awards went down Sunday night (Jun 27) live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and the red carpet was full of black star power as celebrities like Ciara, T.I. (who brought along his entire family), Keri Hilson, Nick Cannon, John Legend, Diddy, Carmelo & Lala, Nicki Minaj, Brandy, the Black Eyed Peas and more arrived in style at the 10th annual show.

Former WNBA player Lisa Leslie gave birth to her and her husband Michael Lockwood’s second child together, Michael Joseph (aka “MJ”), Tuesday (Apr 6) reports Essence. The baby came in at 7 pounds, 13 ounces and was measured at 21.5 inches long, according to the former Los Angeles Spark‘s sister Tiffany.

Lisa and Michael have another child together, their daughter Lauren Jolie, who will turn 3 in June. Congrats to the family on their new addition!

The 2009 ESPY Awards went down Wednesday night (Jul 15) at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, CA. Kobe & Vanessa Bryant, Venus & Serena Williams, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Michael Phelps, Wyclef Jean and other celebrities/athletes showed up to the ceremony, which was hosted by award-winning actor Samuel L. Jackson.

The 17th annual sports awards show will air this Sunday, July 19th, at 9 PM ET on ESPN.

Buffalo Bills receiver Terrell Owens and actress Ali Landry attended a premiere party held for ABC’s new reality series, “The Superstars,” at Saddle Ranch Tuesday night (Jun 23) in Universal City, CA. Other athletes at the event were former footballer Warren Sapp and WNBA star Lisa Leslie.

The Superstars is basically sports competition, televised in the U.S. on ABC, that pits elite athletes from different sports, such as Terrell Owens, against each other in a series of athletic events, similar to that of a decathlon. But despite T.O.’s status as an athlete, his performance on Tuesday night’s premiere episode was sub par, as noted by his teammate supermodel Joanna Krupa, who publicly stood up to the NFL star after he bombed on the show.

“I don’t want a teammate like that!” Krupa yelled after T.O.’s feet got tangled up in nets on an obstacle course. “Calls himself an athlete? What does he get a million dollars for?”

“You’re the one that [messed] up!” Krupa yelled after T.O. blew a lead during their first run over the course. “We could have won! So shut up!”

Afterward, Krupa refused to shake hands with Owens.

Said Krupa: “So cocky? For what? You got in the NFL?”

Owens responded. “I feel really bad for your boyfriend. I feel really bad for him.”

The 2008 Finals was a great event in itself, but the final long awaited match-up between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics was nail biting, to say the least, until the final buzzer. The past rivalry between these two team is legendary. For the 11th time, they battled head to head for the championship title. Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce were known as the ‘Big Three’ all up against a one man stampede, Kobe Byrant. The Los Angeles Lakers showed their teamwork in the 2008 Finals, but the Celtics lead the series victoriously.  Although the Boston Celtics took the 2008 Championship title, it was still very interesting watching every game they played against one another, making it the best moment in sports.

Southside Chicago native point guard, Derrick Rose, was chosen as the top draft pick of the NBA. Rose got recognition for his position by scouts who had watched him play for his college basketball team, University of Memphis Tigers. During his freshman year at the University of Memphis playing with the Tigers, he lead his team to 38 consecutive wins breaking a new NCAA record taking them to the NCAA Division Basketball Tournament.  He was selected first overall by hometown team, Chicago Bulls, in the 2008 NBA Draft. At 6-foot-3, Rose is now averaging 17.2 points per game.

The Women’s National Basketball Association is known for there charisma and strong athletic women, but until recently, they’ve never been known for “cat fights!” One of the most respected womens’ basketball team, the Los Angeles Sparks, was involved in a brawl against the Detroit Shock. Candace Parker and Lisa Leslie were ejected from the game in the final 90 seconds. It was wild seeing all that athleticism get thrown hand to hand between all those strong women…hahaha.

The very first WNBA brawl involved on of the most respected WNBA teams, The Los Angeles Sparks, in yesterday’s game against the Detroit Shocks. Candace Parker, Lisa Leslie and Plnette Pearson were all involved in a brawl and were ejected from the court moments after. The Los Angeles Sparks also took the victory of the game by 3 points (84-81).
