After much speculation, Lifetime has confirmed that Lindsay Lohan will play iconic actress Elizabeth Taylor in their biopic about the late actress’s life.

Lifetime Networks’ executive vice president of programming Rob Sharenow said in a released statement, “We are thrilled Lindsay will portray beloved Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor. She is one of the rare actresses who possesses the talent, beauty and intrigue to capture the spirit of such a provocative icon.”

In the movie, called “Liz and Dick,” Lohan will play Taylor during her famed relationship with actor Richard Burton. The two fell for each other when they met on the set of “Cleopatra.”

They left their spouses, married, divorced, remarried and divorced again! (Sounds like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie on steroids)

In a statement, 25-year-old “Mean Girls” actress Lindsay said of landing the role, “I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor. She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honored to have been asked to play this role.”

Lindsay is also set to star in an upcoming episode of hit TV show “Glee” where she will play herself judging the glee club at the national show choir competition.

Looks like Lindsay’s so-called ‘failed comeback’ on Saturday Night Live paid off after all.

After finding herself in trouble early last Thursday for allegedly striking a man with her car outside of a nightclub, troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has decided to put herself on house arrest until her probation is complete.

Last week, a man accused Lohan of hitting him with her $80,000 Porsche as she tried to drive through a large group of paparazzi.

Lindsay claims she did nothing wrong, however, her closest friends have advised her to stay indoors until her probation ends, which will ensure that she gets into ZERO trouble until then.

Lohan agreed, and she will only leave her house when it’s completely necessary, like her court ordered community service at the morgue, for instance.

Lindsay’s probation is scheduled for completion on March 29th. Fingers crossed she’ll stay out of trouble until then!

Lindsay Lohan made a triumphant return on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” this past weekend as she poked a little fun at herself, including her recent legal woes, drug problems and lesbian past.

In her opening monologue, the “Mean Girls” actress kicked off the show by referring to her stint under house arrest. “Wait, so the alarm goes off if I leave the stage? I thought it was if I left the studio!” she joked as a fake alarm went off.

Castmembers Kristen Wiig and Keenan Thompson also mocked the guest, patting her down and checking for stolen jewelry, and checking her eyes for dilation, respectively.

Further poking fun at herself, another sketch showed Lindsay yelling at kids involved in a “scared straight” program, and warning them of the dangers of jail.

Lindsay also starred as Rapunzel in a hilarious sketch called “The Real Housewives of Disney,” which is a parody of Bravo’s highly popular “Real Housewives” reality shows.

No more partying for Lindsay Lohan! At least that’s what she told Matt Lauer in a recent interview on the “Today” show.

“I still need to go through the process of proving myself,” said Lohan, who’s hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend.

She adds, “You know, with SNL, being on time, being, you know, keeping my – can’t say the word – but stuff together.”

Further proving that Lindsay may very well be getting her “stuff” together, L.A. Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner told the actress at a court hearing last week that she was proud of her progress. “You seem to be getting your life back on track,” she said.

Now that her legal problems are almost over, Lindsay says she’s evolved into a totally different person, and no longer wants to be a part of the party scene that got her into so much trouble.

“That’s not my thing anymore,” she says. “I went out, actually, a few months ago with a friend. And I was so uncomfortable. Not because I felt tempted, just because it was just the same thing that it always was before. And it just wasn’t fun for me. I’ve become more of a homebody, and I like that.”

The full interview is set to air tomorrow morning on NBC. Lindsay is also set to host SNL this Saturday night.

In the interview that goes with Lindsay Lohan‘s tastefully nude Marilyn Monroe tribute photoshoot in Playboy’s latest issue, the troubled actress reveals that doing the shoot was important to her because it “gave [her] confidence.”

“Sex and sexuality are a part of nature, and I go along with nature,” Lohan said.

“I think Marilyn Monroe once said that,” she continued in her Playboy interview, which appeared online just a few days after the photos from her nude photoshoot prematurely leaked via a foreign file-sharing Web site

“I certainly agree with her … Knowing yourself and your body is so important because it gives you confidence, and in life, women need confidence. It’s a very male-dominated world to begin with, so knowing yourself and being comfortable with your body is an important thing for me as a woman. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this is mine,” Lohan said.

The actress, who has been a staple in the news over the last few years for her various legal issues (drunk driving, drug possession, theft, the list goes on…), told Playboy that during the past five years, she’s come to understand “that ultimately we are responsible for ourselves and our own actions.”

She continued, “Looking back, I probably would have listened to and taken more advice from the people whom I admire and would have followed through with it more. My stubbornness at 18 and 19-years-old got in the way. During the past five years, I’ve learned that time flies faster than you think, and because you only live once you have to learn from your mistakes, live your dreams and be accountable.”

The former child star, who first rose to fame playing twin sisters in the 1998 Disney film “The Parent Trap,” also said that she doesn’t understand why people are so “fascinated” with her and her life.

“I have no idea why there is this fascination with everything I do,” Lohan said. “I suppose it is all part of this trend of people wanting to know every single detail of a celebrity’s life. I mean, once we get to the point where magazines are doing pictorials on my wardrobe to court, that’s just so unimportant.”

What Lindsay Lohan needs to understand is that we aren’t “fascinated” with her OR her life. We’re simply intrigued by how someone so talented and so promising could mess up their own life and continue in a downward spiral.

Thanks to the Internet … Lindsay Lohan‘s much talked about Playboy issue was released in full today, and now Hugh Hefner has announced that he will be releasing the issue early.

“Because of the interest & the Internet leak, we’re releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early,” Hef tweeted Friday afternoon (Dec 9).

Playboy reportedly invested a boatload of money into the Lohan issue, initially due to be released next week, and had printed thousands of extra copies in anticipation of unprecedented demand.

No new release date has been announced just yet … though it will be very interesting to see how today’s leak will impact sales once the physical issue does hit newsstands.

Lindsay Lohan‘s entire Playboy Magazine photo spread hit the web today, just one day after the actress’ cover leaked.

The Marilyn Monroe inspired photo shoot, which cost Hugh Hefner and Playboy a reported $1 million, shows the troubled actress topless against a red velvet background and paying homage to Monroe’s iconic Playboy Magazine photo.

A rep for the magazine tells FoxNews.com, “Someone took photos of Lindsay Lohan’s pictorial in an advanced copy of the January/February issue. They posted the photos online without permission. We are not releasing any official images or information until December 15.”

Lindsay Lohan‘s hugely anticipated Playboy Magazine cover has leaked online prematurely!

Shortly after it was reported yesterday that Lilo would debut the “tasteful” spread herself next week exclusively on The Ellen DeGeneres Show … a photo of the cover popped up online, showing Lindsay with big blonde curls dressed in nothing but black stiletto heels while posing on a red chair shaped like the Playboy logo.

The full issue hits shelves next Thursday (Dec 15), the very same day Lindsay will make her guest appearance on Ellen.

Lindsay Lohan will give talk show host Ellen DeGeneres the very first, exclusive look at her upcoming, much talked about photo spread for Playboy Magazine.

A publicist for Playboy confirmed to the New York Daily News that DeGeneres was chosen over all of the other major print and broadcast outlets to debut the shoot.

“Lindsay has agreed to do one media interview during the on-sale period of her issue, and has chosen Ellen,” the rep told the Daily News. “Lindsay will not be doing any additional interviews to promote her pictorial.”

Lohan is rumored to be scoring a whopping $1 million paycheck for posing in the popular men’s magazine. According to sources close to the shoot, the actress will channel the late Marilyn Monroe. (Someone Lilo can definitely relate to!)

“It’s a classic tribute inspired by the original Tom Kelly nude pictorial of Marilyn Monroe, a portion of which was the original playmate which was in the original issue of Playboy,” the magazine’s owner/founder Hugh Hefner said.

A rep for Lohan says that the spread, which will debut on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ on December 15th, is “absolutely fantastic” and “very tasteful.”

Lindsay Lohan has got to be one of the luckiest repeat offenders around.

The troubled actress checked into the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California late Sunday night (Nov 6) after she was sentenced to 30 days in jail last week when a judge determined that she had violated her probation in her DUI and jewelry theft cases.

But due to jail overcrowding, and the fact that this chick has more chances than a Monopoly game, she was released early, after only spending about 4.5 hours behind bars, the L.A. Sheriff’s department confirmed.

“All I can tell you is that she was already released,” L.A. Sheriff’s Deputy Tony Moore said early Monday morning.

A sheriff’s spokesman had previously explained that a federal mandate to ease overpopulated jails in California allows nonviolent offenders to be sent home after only serving a fraction of their sentences.

Even though Lindsay is jail-free, that doesn’t mean she’s off the hook, as she still has several probation terms to adhere to.

She must continue her community service at the L.A. morgue and attend 18 more psychotherapy sessions. All of this must completed by March 29th.

The judge sternly warned Lilo that if she doesn’t follow her new probation terms, her freedom will be revoked, and she will be hauled off to jail to serve an additional 270 days, though it’s very likely that even in that scenario, she could be released due to jail overcrowding.

Lindsay Lohan admitted to violating the terms of her probation in court today … and Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner sentenced the troubled actress to 30 days in prison!

She must surrender by November 9th and begin her time without eligibility for house arrest or early release.

Judge Sautner told Lindsay that because she got kicked out of the Downtown Women’s Center in L.A. (where she was supposed to do some community service) and she also refused to attend therapy sessions as required by the court, she must now complete ALL of her community service hours at the L.A. County Morgue, which, fortunately for her, she has been doing (and doing it well) lately.

The judge also gave Lindsay a stern warning that if she doesn’t adhere to the new terms of her probation, a warrant for her arrest willl be issued, and she WILL be sentenced to an additional 270 days in jail.

“These are very strict rules,” Judge Sautner told LiLo. “You don’t have to accept them.”

According to TMZ:

Judge Stephanie Sautner gave Lindsay a strict schedule on completing the rest of her probation — by December 14, she must have completed 12 days at the morgue and 4 psychotherapy sessions. By January 17, another 12 days at morgue and 4 psychotherapy sessions. And so on. Everything must be completed by March 29 — or she goes directly to jail for 270 days.

With these new probation terms, Sautner said she was “putting the keys to the jail in the defendant’s hands.”

Among the terms of her probation include a stipulation that Lindsay is NOT to leave the country. If she completes everything outlined above by March 29th, Lindsay will be allowed to go on with her life.

“If you do this all by March 29th, you just go about your business and obey all laws and all this ends,” the judge told Lindsay.

At the end of the court hearing, Lindsay seemed to be in good spirits. As she walked out of the courtroom, sources say they heard her mumble “Thank God” under hear breath.

Sources in the courtroom also told TMZ that when the judge got off the bench, she said Lindsay “looks good today.”

Due to jail overcrowding, of the 30 days Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to, she will only be required to serve 6 of them.

Looks like Lindsay Lohan has finally got that grill of hers fixed up.

A couple weeks back, Lindsay was called out after photos of her smiling with horribly damaged (and yellow-stained) teeth on the red carpet of an event in Los Angeles hit the web, leading many to think she’s doing heavy drugs (i.e. meth).

But we guess LiLo took the advice of the blogosphere and got her teeth fixed because she showed of a picture of her new smile on Twitter yesterday after undergoing the famous “Zoom!” teeth whitening procedure.

“Thanks Dr. Dorfman for the zoom… My gums are so sore though!” Lindsay tweeted along with a picture of her new grill.

The troubled actress has had a whirlwind few weeks too, with her facing a potential jail sentence and also snagging a reported $1 million for an upcoming Playboy shoot.

Lohan also began her court-mandated community service at a Los Angeles morgue earlier this month. A judge has ordered her to complete 400 hours of community service, including 120 at the morgue.

Michael Lohan is cooling his ass in a Tampa jail this morning after getting arrested on suspicion of domestic violence charges.

Tampa Police arrested Lindsay Lohan’s dad at 1:10AM ET after they responded to reports of a fight between Michael and a live-in girlfriend. Law enforcement sources confirm it was Lohan’s on again-off again GF Kate Major.

Now this part is classic Lohan: We’re told Michael complained of chest pains when he was taken into custody — so police took him to a hospital. We’re told Michael was treated, and then was attempting to slip out of the hospital on his own — until an officer spotted him, hauled him down to jail and booked him for the alleged domestic violence.

Tampa PD’s website lists him as still in custody.

Being the fun, family friendly site that we are, we don’t like to be mean … but Lindsay looked like she came straight from Zombieland in these newly released pictures of her at her progress report hearing earlier today (Wed. Oct 19) in Los Angeles.

What the f**k is wrong with her face?!?

Meanwhile, we hear the judge presiding over the case is pissed off at Lindsay for not treating her probation and community service requirements seriously.

So she revoked her probation!

At Lindsay Lohan’s progress report hearing, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner called her previous ruling of probation on a theft charge a “gift” and told Lohan, “there’s something called looking a gift horse in the mouth.” (Huh?)

According to Reuters, Lohan’s longtime attorney Shawn Chapman Holley tried in vain to argue that her client should be allowed to continue uninterrupted on probation due to her complying “substantially” with the other portions of Judge Sautner’s sentence, including going through psychological counseling and attending a program for shoplifters.

But Judge Sautner didn’t want to hear it, and believes that Lohan has “blown off” the court’s order to work at a downtown Los Angeles women’s detention center, and she instead requested to reassigned by city officials (without court approval) to work in a Red Cross program.

Sautner also noted that in the past six months, Lohan has only completed a small fraction of her community service (only 21 out of 480 total hours).

“Nobody has the power to change my sentence,” Judge Sautner said before pronouncing, “I am revoking her probation.”

Lohan was immediately led from the courtroom in handcuffs, and posted bail of $100,000.

She was allowed to go home, for now, but she must appear at a November 2nd court hearing where officials and attorneys will present evidence to prove that Lindsay did, in fact, violation her probation.

If it is determined by the courts that the troubled actress has violated her probation, she could be sent to prison for up to 18 months.

As part of her punishment for stealing a gold necklace from a jewelry store, Linday Lohan was sentenced back in April to 360 hours of community service at the women’s detention center, and another 120 hours at a morgue. She also served 35 days under house arrest.

Lohan’s publicist Steve Honig told the Associated Press that his client is working hard to get her life back on track.

“She’s really pounding away,” Honig said. ”She’s on a good track. We’re optimistic the judge will see that.”

To help her case and try to prove her innocence, Lohan took to Twitter Tuesday night:

“I just want it to be known, that just because I was not followed&photographed during the times I’ve gone to community service, does NOT mean that I wasn’t following my obligations (by going) to the court.”

Judge Sautner sounds like she means business. Looks like Lindsay lohan might be going to jail for real this time!

Have you seen Lindsay Lohan‘s teeth lately?!?

Either she’s not practicing proper oral hygiene (like at least brushing once a day) … or she’s doing meth (or something), because no one with a bank account with more than 5 digits should have chompers that look like that!

The 25-year-old troubled actress flashed a very unattractive smile at an event in Los Angeles (R) last week, and her teeth appear uneven and yellow with stains, a stark contract from the pearly white teeth she flashed earlier this year (L).

Dr. Irwin Smigel, celebrity dentist and creator of Supersmile, told the NY Daily News:

“Lindsay’s right central tooth is chipped, giving the impression of a space. She has what looks like tartar between her [two front teeth]. The yellowish brown stains are from smoking and very poor oral hygiene. To correct it, first she would need to have a thorough cleaning and I would also do some X-rays to see if there is extensive decay or a severe gum condition.”

It’s no secret that Lilo smokes cigarettes, and cancer sticks are known to cause teeth yellowing. She could also be drinking excessive amounts of red wine, coffee and other dark colored-liquids.

Or even worse … she could be doing METH! (Because we know plenty cigarette smokers and coffee drinkers with pearly white teeth)

You’ve probably heard this over a million times in your lifetime … but Lindsay Lohan could possibly go to jail for violating the terms of her probation!

Lindsay Lohan could be sentenced to nearly a year-and-a-half in jail if Judge Stephanie Sautner decides she violated her probation.

We’re told the computations are complicated, because Lindsay has had so many cases. But based on the 120 day suspended sentence for shoplifting, time served under house arrest, and her prior DUIs, Lindsay could be thrown in jail for a long, long time.

We’ve learned Lindsay MUST be in court Wednesday to face the judge … and the judge has lots of questions, including why Lindsay was a no-show 9 times at the Downtown Women’s Center, where she was performing her community service. And the judge will almost certainly want to know why Lindsay didn’t comply with the order to spend a minimum of 4 hours at a time when she showed up at the Women’s Center.

TMZ broke the story, Lindsay was booted from the Women’s Center because of all the problems and reassigned to the American Red Cross.

And one more thing. The judge will almost certainly ask Lindsay why she didn’t meet with her shrink every Monday for 1 hour, as required by court order. Lindsay claims she did a bunch of therapy sessions by phone.

Will Lindsay Lohan FINALLY go to jail this time? Probably not.

It would actually be a surprise if the judge decides to throw her in jail. Isn’t this like the 4th or 5th time she’s violated her probation in some way or another?

Okay … maybe not. But the “Mean Girls” actress did send out what came across as a … “proposition” … to the “Deuces” singer via Twitter.

Just after Brown’s energy filled performance at the VMAs Sunday night, Lohan took to her Twitter account and tweeted “@ChrisBrown killed it. #MTVVMAs” which Chris then re-tweeted for all to see.

Moments later, she tweeted “@chrisbrown wanna meet?” leading many to believe that she wanted to “hook up” with Breezy.

But after a few raised eyebrows and what the hells later from everyone, Lindsay told Gossip Cop “Hahaha. That’s so random!” of her friendliness being mistaken for a proposition.

22-year-old Chris must still be in shock as he has yet to respond to the 25-year-old troubled Hollywood starlet’s tweet.

Pitbull is shocked about Lindsay Lohan‘s ridiculous lawsuit against him…

The “Mean Girls” actress and her lawyer Stephanie Ovadia are reportedly suing the creators of Pitbull’s #1 hit song “Give Me Everything” (f/ Ne-Yo) off of his latest album “Planet Pit.”

According to reports, Pitbull, along with co-writers Ne-Yo and Afrojack have also been named in the suit over the unfavorable set lyrics that say, “Hustlers move aside, so I’m tiptoeing, to keep flowing/I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan.”

Lohan claims that Ne-Yo and Pitbull mentioning her in an unfavorable way in their song is a breach of New York’s civil laws, which protects “people from having their name exploited for commercial purposes.” The filed suit seeks to get an injunction and halt the broadcasting of the song.

Talk about bad timing for Pitbull though, as the song in question has sold 2.96 million copies since its release in June and scored him a #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.

Neither Ne-Yo nor Pitbull’s camps have commented on the law suit thus far, and in our opinion they shouldn’t, because this is a pretty stupid lawsuit.

Our advice to Lindsay Lohan: Don’t get in trouble and get “locked up” and people won’t have that kind of juicy material to use in their music :)

So when will she be back at work? “In October, I’ll begin work. I hope to spend next year on set” she said.

Fallen Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan was back in familiar surroundings yesterday …. the court-room!

Lohan arrived at the LAX Airport Courthouse early Thursday morning (around 9:45 am ET) for a 10 am hearing before Judge Stephanie Sautner to determine whether or not she violated her probation.

The judge over her 2007 DUI case, Judge Elden Fox, had previously stated that the actress was NOT to consume any alcohol while on probation. But Lindsay tested positive for alcohol last week … which is supposed to be a direct violation of her probation terms.

However … Judge Sautner noticed somewhat of a “loophole” in Judge Fox’s ruling, which only required “controlled substances testing” (not alcohol testing) from January 3rd to February 25th 2011, and it was determined that Lindsay DID NOT violate her probation as previously assumed.

So thanks to Judge Sautner’s careful eye … Lindsay Lohan dodged one hell of a bullet, and will NOT be going to prison.

Just before going into chambers, Sautner formally addressed the court, saying that the hearing was “meant to be a little private conference with the attorney,” adding, “if you all thought there was going to be something exciting happening, I wouldn’t count on it.”

At the end of the hearing after she ruled that Lindsay was innocent, Judge Sautner told the 24-year-old “Mean Girls” star that she is not only forbidden from hosting any parties, but she is now restricted to just one friend at a time, in addition to family members, at her Venice, California home.

The judge also told Lindsay:

“What you are guilty of is of poor judgment to have parties on your roof. You are not to have parties, you can have one friend over at a time, plus family members or business associates. You can go on your roof, if probation calls you, you must answer. There is no drug or alcohol testing in effect.”

Which basically means that she can get drunk (with no more than 1 friend, of course) all she wants … as long as she doesn’t get behind the wheel of a car.

Now if what Judges Sautner said doesn’t ring clear to Lindsay … we don’t know what will!

It’s about that time for Lindsay Lohan. Earlier today, the troubled starlet surrendered to Los Angeles police to begin her court ordered house arrest.

Lohan was fitted with an electronic ankle monitor at the Lynwood Jail before returning to her Venice Beach home. The house arrest is expected to continue for 35 days.

In addition to her house arrest, Lohan has been ordered to perform a whopping 480 hours of community service, which she is expected to divide between a women’s center and a morgue.

The 24-year-old “Mean Girls” star last month told late night host Jay Leno that she’s hoping to get through her current legal troubles, and bounce back so she can focus on getting her acting career back on track.

“I let a lot of my fans down by putting myself in situations when I was young and wasn’t thinking clearly,” the blonde New York native told Leno. “But as long as I stay focused, then I will be able to achieve what I want to achieve.”

Hopefully this will force Lindsay to shape up her act. Emphasis on “hopefully.”

Due to her ongoing legal troubles it should come as no surprise that embattled actress Lindsay Lohan has had problems landing leading roles these past few years. Not to mention her string of box office bombs and the exorbitant cost of guaranteeing her insurance – - – few have been willing to deal with the headache known as “Lilo”. But there may be a promising new project on Lohan’s horizon, as iconic writer Stephen King recently revealed to Entertainment Weekly that Lindsay’s name has been tossed around a new film adaptation of King’s horror classic Carrie.

“I’ve heard rumblings about a Carrie remake, as I have about The Stand and It. Who knows if it will happen? The real question is why, when the original was so good? I mean, not Casablanca, or anything, but a really good horror-suspense film, much better than the book … Although Lindsay Lohan as Carrie White… hmmm. It would certainly be fun to cast. I guess I could get behind it if they turned the project over to one of the Davids: Lynch or Cronenberg,” King mused.

TMZ recently reported that Lindsay was “stoked” at the possibility of starring in the Stephen King remake. Granted she can keep her often troubled tail out of jail long enough to film it.  Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how this one plays out.

Despite her legal troubles supposedly seeming over, RadarOnline may have uncovered another possible mess for embattled actress Lindsay Lohan.

According to the site, Lilo may have violated her court ordered probation by downing an alchoholic beverage at  Paul & Andre Hollywood nightclub and someone caught it all on camera! That is until someone in Lohan’s entourage reportedly grabbed the Nikon point-and-shoot camera from the hands of the fan and dumped it into a bucket of ice used to chill booze bottles.

“We didn’t press charges because we thought it was funny at first,” said an eyewitness who asked not to be identified. He and three friends, including the owner of the camera, sat for an hour at a table next to Lohan’s. “We all were drunk. But then we figured out when we got home that the camera was broken because water seeped in. The memory card, though, was still good.”

In a photo obtained by RadarOnline, a  24 year-old Lohan can be seen sitting on the back of the couch while her friends are partying.  However according to the source, Lohan was getting just as wild as everyone else.

“Lindsay appeared to be ‘belligerently drunk,’” the source said. “She and her people were doing shots of something all night. She looked like she was falling all over the place. She was being stupid. When she grabbed my friend’s wrist, another woman who was with Lindsay grabbed the camera. She kept saying ‘I need that camera’ over and over again. So the woman got it and sunk it into the ice bucket.”

This could spell potential disaster for Lohan seeing as another probation violation could land the star of “Mean Girls” in jail for months!

The “Case of the Stolen Necklace” has finally been resolved!

This past Wednesday, Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer entered a no contest plea in a Los Angeles court. Lilo wasn’t present during the proceedings and did not acknowledge guilt through the plea, but the court will log the case as a conviction anyway. (Pretty gangster, huh?)

This does not, however, impact the 120-day jail sentence that the Judge already handed down on April 22nd when she determined Lohan did indeed violate her 2007 probation from a DUI arrest.

But because of the nature of the crime, a misdemeanor, and because of jail overcrowding, it is likely that Lohan won’t serve time in jail. Instead, she will most likely serve her sentence (and probably not even the entire amount) at home chilling on the couch, with a pretty little anklet monitoring device clamped upon on her pretty little ankle.

All in all, we must say … as usual, Lindsay got off rather easy. Hopefully this time around she’ll learn her lesson and keep that nose of her clean! But knowing her track record, she probably won’t.

Most people would have thought it would have been a cold day in hell before Paris Hilton would ever apologize to ANYONE. Especially Lindsay Lohan!

TMZ.com recently spoke with Paris, who now wants to apologize to Lohan for a comment she made in a preview clip for her new reality show “The World According to Paris.” She explained:

“I apologize to Lindsay for the comment that I made. I was joking around but it was thoughtless and unnecessary,” she said.

And for all you doubters out there, this is not just for TV and Paris has insisted that her apology is genuine. So much so that she said, ”I am reaching out to Lindsay so I can tell her myself.”

In the eyes of the law – - everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty, but according to socialite heiress turned porn star, Paris Hilton, such is not the case when it comes to her ex BFF, Lindsay Lohan.

In a segment from Paris’ upcoming reality series, “The World According to Paris,” which was obtained by TMZ, Hilton made reference to Lindsay’s ongoing legal problems which stem from an allegedly stolen necklace.

The clip shows Hilton feeding the homeless at Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles, when one attendee takes a liking to her stunning pair black earrings.

When the woman asks, “Can I have those earrings?” Hilton graciously removes them from her ears and hands them over. ”I’ll give them to you for Christmas,” the heiress said.

The woman replies that she would in turn give them to her sister in Oklahoma and tell her that they were from “Lindsay.” Upon hearing this, Hilton laughs and responds with “I am not her.”

When the woman expresses confusion, saying, “I thought you were supposed to be in rehab,” Hilton against responds, “I am not Lindsay.” Then, In a voiceover, the heiress went on to point out the not so subtle difference between herself and Lohan.

“If I were Lindsay, I’d be stealing the earrings,” Hilton said, “not giving them away.”

And BOOM goes the dynamite! Sheesh … talk about not pulling any punches. (Harsh!)

The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department allows inmates to serve their time at home as long as they wear an electronic monitoring device.

And since Lindsay’s crime is a non-violent misdemeanour offense, she’ll be able to make use of that condition.

The judge presiding over the case has made it clear that Lindsay will be treated just like any other defendant, and people in her position don’t get put behind bars.

We’re sure Lindsey has no contest with this argument!

Late yesterday afternoon Lindsay Lohan received a call from the Downtown Women’s Center (the place where she’ll be doing her community service) informing her that there was an open spot for orientation at 5 PM … and Lindsay jumped at the chance to fill it!

Anxious to get her hefty 480-hour court ordered community service underway, Lohan, with her legal pitbull Shawn Chapman Holley by her side, showed up to the Woman’s Center service induction …. WITHOUT A BRA!

While Lindsay has yet to officially begin her service efforts … reports tell that she’ll get the 480 hours underway later this week. Judging by Lindsay’s “revealing” pics … it’s pretty safe to assume it was a little “nippy” out. At least that’s what her shirt is saying. :)

Looks like Lindsay Lohan has had a change of heart. According to TMZ, the troubled starlet will plead no contest to the theft charges she faces in the ongoing case of the allegedly stolen necklace.

Lilo’s lawyer will take the no contest plea to the judge next week, ahead of Lohan’s pre-trial. Sources say Lindsay wants to get on with her life and has accepted responsibility for her actions.

In fact, Lindsay’s already started doing  her court ordered community service! Lindsay was given 480 hours of service, along with 120 days in jail, for violating her probation, and she’s supposedly aiming to get a head start.

LiLo’s lawyer Shawn Holley has already appealed the jail sentence, and the ultimate decision will be passed down in the next few weeks.

Apparently Lindsay’s camp is not expecting the judge to add on any time for the misdemeanor theft charge, so once she serves this sentence she’ll be free and clear.

While speaking to Jay Leno Monday in a surprise Tonight Show appearance that will air Tuesday night, embattled actress Lindsay Lohan, was a studio audience favorite upon her arrival, and even received a standing ovation.

During her visit Lilo spoke on her 120 day sentence in connection with a probation violation for taking a necklace from a Venice Beach jeweler.

“At what point did you realize, ‘Oh my God, I could lose this, this could slip away from me?’” Leno asked Lohan, to which she responded:

“I think that when, you know, being young and being in the position I was in, you don’t really take the time to appreciate what you have and it’s all kind of a whirlwind, and people make decisions for you,” Lohan said. “But I’m not a kid anymore — I’m 24, I’ve made a lot of mistakes and I recognize that. I’m in the clear now, and as long as I stay focused, I can achieve what I want to achieve.”

“She is angry because she has been working so hard on turning her life around. She didn’t do what they said she did. She didn’t steal that necklace,” producer and close friend Nathan Folks told PEOPLE. “She is ready to do her time. She wants to go to A.A. and N.A. and to serve her 400 hours of community service. She has already been doing lots of charity work.”

Back in January, Lindsay was accused of stealing a $2500 necklace from a jewelry boutique in Los Angeles. She denied the accusations, however, and refused to take a plea bargain, which landed her a 4-month jail sentence. And she is not happy about it.

Lindsay Lohan was in tears this past Friday when a Judge sentenced her to 120 days in jail for violating her probation by getting busted for allegedly stealing a necklace. A few hours after being taken into custody, Lohan was released on $75,000 bail.

In addition to the jail sentence, L.A. Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner sentenced the troubled starlet to 480 hours of community service, including 360 at the Downtown Los Angeles Women’s Center, and 120 at the LA County morgue. Sautner said working at the women’s center could give her some perspective: “Perhaps then she might see how truly needy women who have fallen on truly hard times have to live.” Lohan has already filed a notice of appeal to the ruling.

The judge did downgrade charges of Lindsay’s alleged swiping of a $2,500 necklace on January 22nd from felony grand theft to a misdemeanor, but Lohan put her head in her hands and cried when the judge refused to dismiss the charges outright.

The judge felt that when Lohan walked out of the store wearing the necklace, she showed intent to keep it. “I see the intent here. I see a level of brazenness with, ‘Let me see what I can get away with here,’” she said.

This will be Lilo’s fourth jail stint. (Michael would be proud).

Lindsay Lohan was spotted spending some family time with her siblings at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon (Apr 21). The troubled actress seemed to be enjoying herself with her brother Micheal Jr. and younger sister Ali as they made their way around the theme park.

Just days after rumors spread of her being nixed from the upcoming flicks, reports have surfaced that Lindsay Lohan is back in the mix for the Gotti movies.

“We’re very pleased to have Lindsay on-board for both of these films,” Marc Fiore said (via Us magazine). “She has been very enthusiastic about the Gotti project, and after resuming discussions with her, we were impressed by her commitment to the film and felt she would be a perfect Kim Gotti.”

Sources say LiLo’s management team became a bit too much, and that’s why Fiore said she was out earlier this week. But, now things have settled down.

“I’m really excited to be back on set and clear up all the misinterpretations about me and show this is what I love to do,” Lohan told The Associated Press. “I think it’s such an iconic story. I’m honored to be working with John Travolta and Joe Pesci.”

Well that clears that up. If only her many legal problems were that easy…

Lindsay Lohan might be wising up after all.

The troubled Hollywood starlet’s lawyer recently asked the judge in her grand theft case how much time she’ll get if she agrees to a guilty or no contest plea.

The eventual sentence was discussed last week in a top secret meeting between Los Angeles Judge Stephanie Sautner, Lohan attorney Shawn Holley and Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers.

Lilo’s preliminary hearing is scheduled to begin on Friday morning at the LAX Airport Courthouse.

A source close to the case claims that the judge told both attorneys how much time the 24-year-old wild child could serve, but word of a precise sentence hasn’t leaked. Worst case scenario, Lindsay faces three years of hard time in a state slammer.

Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers will be calling the owner of the jewelry store where Lohan is accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace and the employee who waited on Lohan that day. The preliminary hearing is scheduled to last one to two days if Lohan doesn’t enter a plea on Friday.

Whew! Talk about pressure. Keep your head up, Lilo!

Linday Lohan basically confirmed rumors that she will be taking on the role of Victoria Gotti in the upcoming film “Gotti: Three Generations” by attending the press conference for the film Tuesday (Apr 12) at the Sheraton Hotel in NYC.

Meanwhile, when asked about Lindsay’s involement in the movie, producer Mark Fiore had nothing but nice words for the troubled actress. Without confirming if she had indeed landed the role, he said: “Lindsay is a terrific actress.”

Also spotted at the event were Dina Lohan, members of the Gotti family (including Victoria and her 3 sons Frankie, John and Carmine) and John Travolta, who is reportedly playing the role of John Gotti Sr. in the film.

According to published reports, after turning him away from her house over this past weekend, Lindsay Lohan has allowed her train-wreck father Michael Lohan into her home.

Yesterday, Michael confirmed to RadarOnline that he was with Lindsay at her Venice Beach, CA home, where he was spotted over the weekend trying unsuccessfully trying to visit his estranged daughter. “I am with my daughter,” Michael said about his visit Monday morning.

Lindsay, 24, has been estranged from Michael, who recently filmed a season of Celebrity Rehab, which upset his family and prompted them to release the statement that they were not speaking with him (and even planned on changing their last names).

However, it looks like the father and daughter might be mending their relationship with Mike’s visit to Lindsay yesterday morning.

Let’s see how long this reunion lasts this time around. We bet in about a week or two they’ll be back to fighting. :)

According to published reports, Lindsay Lohan is on the verge of scoring her first big-screen gig since leaving rehab!

Rumor has it that Lilo is currently in negotiations to join John Travolta in a movie about the infamous Gotti family. Travolta has been linked to the lead role of real life Mafia boss John Gotti ever since he was spotted meeting with the gangster’s son John Gotti, Jr. back in January.

The actor is now officially signed up and Lohan is rumored to be joining the project as his onscreen daughter. Lohan is in “final talks” to take on the role of Victoria Gotti, according to TMZ.com.

Full details about “Gotti: Three Generations” will be unveiled in a news conference on April 12th in New York.

Congrats Lindsay! (Unless you end up actually going back to jail).

Although her life is currently in shambles, embattled Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan is trying to jump back into the acting scene. Rumor has it that Lilo is set to audition for a role in the new “Superman” movie.

According to Pop Eater:

“Lindsay is planning to return from New York on Wednesday, at which time she will meet with producers and read for them,” a source close to Lohan said.

Though the lead role of Lois Lane isn’t up for grabs — Amy Adams nabbed the part earlier this month — Lohan will read for another role for producers soon.

“Lindsay said she would be ecstatic to be part of the ‘Superman’ movie … it’s a dream of hers,” Lohan’s friend Nathan Folks dished.

Filming for the new flick is set to begin in August.

Let’s hope Lindsay isn’t behind bars by then.

Well, well, well. Look who’s trying to make amends.

Michael Lohan has decided that he wants to start mending fences with his estranged family, and in an emotional plea, has stated  that he is “so sorry” and wants to apologize to his family.

“I’m so sorry,” Michael said in an attempt to begin rebuilding a relationship with Dina and their four children, Lindsay, Michael, Ali and Cody.

“I want to apologize to my wife and children for not concentrating on helping them and taking the focus off of them. I totally neglected focusing on them. I was angry at Kate [Major] and I should have been focusing on my family – Dina, Lindsay, Michael, Ali and Cody.

“It’s no excuse, but I followed my heart and my co-dependency issues, made very clear by Dr Drew, which will air on Celebrity Rehab, got the best of me. Instead of focusing on myself and my family, I tried to help people like Kate, who conned me.”

It has previously been reported that Dina and the kids have all been estranged from Michael over the past few weeks. In fact, Dina told Pop Eater that she planned on changing her last name, as well as her kids’, to her maiden name “Sullivan,” and Lindsay would be dropping the “Lohan” from her professional name.

Meanwhile, both Dina and Lindsay recently told Radar Online that Michael’s decision to appear on “Celebrity Rehab” totally blindsided them, and they did not visit him while he was filming the show.

“Lindsay is not talking to her Dad now,“ Dina told RadarOnline.com in mid-March.

Sorry Mr. Lohan, sounds like your “apology” is just a little too late. Jerk.

Lindsay Lohan is currently on the defensive after recently having the misfortune of being photographed while falling outside the Motor City Bar on Wednesday, which had a few people assuming that Lindsay falling down outside a bar meant she had also fell off the wagon. If you know what we mean.

But according to Lilo that wasn’t the case at all. In fact, it was all a joke on her behalf, she says.
