Guess who snagged 8 Grammy Award nomations for the 2009 show? The official nominations for the 51st Grammy Awards were announced yesterday, and our boy Lil’ Wayne led the pack! The rapper grabbed 8 nominations, with fellow rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West following not too far behind. 2009 GRAMMY AWARD NOMINATIONS

New singer Keri Hilson has officially released her third single from, In A Perfect World. The song is titled “Turnin’ Me On” and it features rapper Lil’ Wayne.  I feel really bad for Keri. Keri is extremely talented and it doesn’t seem like the public is latching on to her singles well enough. Please, check out the video by clicking on the image. NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE // WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 12TH 2008 » Rapper Lil Wayne made a surprise appearance with rock artist Kid Rock Wednesday night at the 2008 Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, TN. According to MTV News, Weezy is the first hip-hop act ever to perform at the country music award show, but he didn’t even rap on stage. The rapper reportedly played on the guitar the entire song and never peeped a word. A source close to the Louisiana native claims that he did this in order to keep fresh. He didn’t want to do what he did at the 2008 VMAs.

Since Beyonce decided to call herself “Sasha Fierce,” the internet has been buzzing and downright clowning the singer for doing such a thing. But why can’t she? Everybody else is doing it! Take Lil’ Wayne for example. How many names does he have? You got Dwayne, Wayne, Lil Wayne, Weezy, Wizzle, Wizzard, and however else you can mix-up the phonetics of his name. And what about Diddy, huh? Sean John, Sean John Combs, Sean Combs, Sean “Puffy” Combs, Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Diddy, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Diddy Combs, Dumb Dump Diddy. And that just covers the FIRST decade of his career. Who knows how many there’ll be when he hits the golden ages. Kanye has Ye and Yeezy, Ludacris goes by “Chris” and Luda sometimes, and T.I. calls his alter-ego T.I.P. So we ask again, why not Beyonce?

While we appreciate Mad TV’s use of satire with morphing our friend Weezy into their mascot, but we have to note a typo in their quote: “The Rise and Fall of a Rap Star.” They obviously mean “The Rise and Sharp Shoot Upwards of a Rap Star.” But it’s cool, we all make typos here and there. Nobody’s perfect. Not even editors of a nationally published magazine.

Rapper Lil’ Wayne and some Vietnamese chick named Sarah from Cincinatti, Ohio welcomed a little boy into this world earlier today. They decided to continue with the whole “Carter sequel” sh*t Weezy’s been using for the past 3 albums and name him “Dwayne Carter III.” But none of this should come as a surprise to those of you who caught my earlier post about Lil’ Wayne’s “little” announcement at Saturday night’s BET Hip-Hop Awards.

But wait? Didn’t we give Nivea the coveted title as “baby mama?” Well according to Miss Info Nivea is definitely not the mama. So if Nivea’s pregnant, then Weezy must have another kid on the way… But anyway, hit Miss Info’s link to read up on the Sarah chick.
