At some point, Lil’ Kim is going to have to face the fact that it’s her, not the music industry that’s ruined her career. The latest implosion with her former affiliates International Rockstars (IRS) is just the latest nail in her coffin.

Remember the end of 2011 when Lil’ Kim went on an aggressive anti-Nicki Minaj PR campaign and cobbled together that wretched Black Friday collection of noise and throwaway beats?

If you’ll recall, besides claiming non-existent PayPal records, she also put forth a new entourage that was riding for her: International Rockstars (IRS).

They appeared in her low-budget video for “Black Friday” and you could see everyone rocking the IRS t-shirts and hats.

Well, her ride-or-die crew has become yet another deal gone sour for the Queen Bee. TMZ reports that Kim recently cut off contact with the management firm, fired off a cease and desist letter and then filed a lawsuit disputing the terms of their agreement.

Now, IRS has filed a countersuit for $15 million. Andrew Ro, owner of IRS, says “Kim was a menace to work with” and claims that she derailed several lucrative projects that the company lined up for her.

It’s hard to keep up with all of the failed partnerships, collaborations and deals that Kim has burned through, but suffice it to say, Kim is on the same path to Never, Never Land as Lauryn Hill at this point.

She stays burning bridges and keeps wondering why she can never get anywhere in the music industry.

The struggle, as they say, continues for hip-hop founder and archivist Lil Kim.

The rapper hasn’t yet pulled together a new album out of her magic hat, but Kim is still hard at work on the road delivering them hits to her fans. When she feels like it.

Rap-Up was there at the Gramercy Theater for her stop in NY. The singer wore a cringe-worthy red onesie that looked like a vise was needed to squeeze her into.

The end result has Lil’ Kim looking like an overcooked and overstuffed Vienna sausage. Why won’t Kim realize that smedium is not a good look on her porky petite body frame?

As if the outfit wasn’t bad enough, Kim’s stagecraft looked to be in equally sad shape as she stumbled through her set, out of breath and with very little stamina. She pretty much looked pregnant with fail and misery throughout her show. Won’t somebody, anybody help Lil’ Kim help herself?

Here we go again: Lil’ Kim has got beef with another woman. Only this time, it isn’t Faith Evans, Nicki Minaj or Biggie’s mom, but instead, daytime talk show host and former radio star Wendy Williams.

If you’ll recall, a recent round of unflattering photos made their way around the web and Kim bizarrely accused the paparazzi of manipulating the photos to make her look bad. When Wendy ran a segment on her show criticizing Kim’s tortured face, Kim caught wind of it and took offense.

“She’s just been getting stuff it looks like done, done, done, filled, filled, filled. It’s filled so tight now, Kim, it looks like a pin could just pop ya!” the talk show host exclaimed during her segment.

Honestly? That was mild. Old Wendy would’ve went IN on Lil’ Kim’s patchwork quilt mug. So really, she got off way easy. Besides, Wendy actually kind of defended her.

But Kim didn’t see any of that. She just saw red. The “Crush On You” rapper dropped bombs on Wendy through Twitter and accused the talk show host of being jealous because she sucked Biggie’s dick and he supposedly dissed her afterward.

Why does everything in this bitch’s life, good or bad, all lead back to Biggie? She needs to let that man RIP.

Wendy will likely respond on her show, but you know she is cracking up at this foolish scarecrow swinging windmills at her on Twitter. Kim is totally fighting the wrong battles.

She needs to be focused on plotting a path back to the Billboard charts instead of all this bullshit. She’s the one who opted for that wretched face so why is she mad at the world about it now?

The mind can play tricks on us, y’all. Some people walking around on this earth swear they’re God’s gift to man when really they look more like Moses’ last curse.

Lil’ Kim, the one-time-trend-setting femcee, has stretched, cut, injected, bleached and mutilated her face and body so much over the past decade that she has rendered herself nearly unrecognizable.

Instead of aging gracefully, she chose to go under the knife repeatedly. All of these surgeries haven’t made her look any younger though, it’s just made her look like Michael Jackson.

For gossip blogs, paparazzi photos of Lil’ Kim are a reliable source of traffic and chatter since Kim’s hopeless face always makes for a great “Can you believe Lil’ Kim looks like this?” post.

But Kim is striking back. She believes that in reality, her appearance is flawless. The distorted and heinous face we’ve all been making fun of online is actually some Photoshopped trickery that the paparazzi have been conjuring up, Kim claimed on Twitter.

Yes, because that’s what paparazzi want to do. Spend their time making a washed-up rapper look uglier than she really looks.

Girl, please. Nobody has time to tweak photos of Lil Kim, and frankly, she’s horrified people outside of paparazzi shots too.

Kim needs to accept responsibility for the fact that her face looks like the Afghanistan war was waged on it. It ain’t nobody’s fault but her’s and her plastic surgeon’s.

Lil Kim has a whole new reason to smile these days.

In the middle of embarking on her “Return of the Queen” Tour and all of the other things she has on her plate right now in her effort to reclaim the throne from Nicki Minaj … the pint-sized rapper has found time to find love.

Over the weekend, Lil Kim was spotted leaving Hollywood’s Key club with her new boyfriend, a New York rapper who goes by the name of “Mr. Papers.” (Probably because he has a lot of money, or something like that.)

In the midst of all the Young Money vs. Hot 97 Summer Jam and Peter Rosenberg craziness over the weekend, there was another rap beef transpiring.

After Nicki Minaj was suddenly yanked from the 2012 Summer Jam line-up — thanks to a snide remark by Hot 97 DJ Peter Rosenberg earlier in the show — Lil Kim found out that Nicki was supposed to team up on stage with none other than Foxy Brown (who Kim probably hates more than she hates Nicki).

As soon as Kim caught wind that her two enemies were teaming up, she took to Twitter to slam Nicki Minaj, claiming she stole her idea of bringing female rappers together, just as she did last week with Eve and Missy Elliott.

“Hot damn ho here we go again. Monkey see monkey do. I heard the haters are joining forces against the Queen. LMAO !!!! Have a great show!!! Break a leg!!!! Hahahaha!!!!

Of course, since Nicki’s set was abruptly canceled at the command of Young Money CEO Lil Wayne, she and Foxy Brown never got the opportunity to share the stage together.

But she did spend the rest of the evening at an undisclosed location down the street hanging out with Foxy, Cam’Ron, Beenie Man and the other artists she was supposed to bring on stage that night.

Lil Kim dropped by Power 105′s “The Breakfast Club” last week where she revealed the root of her beef with Nick Minaj.

“Me and Slim were friends for four years, and we decided we were going to do business together. I was over there at Cash Money, and I was getting ready to be partners with him. When I was over there, we were working a lot. I was in Miami and he would put me in the studio.”

Kim says when a song she did with a then-unknown Nicki Minaj for Baby’s solo album didn’t take off as he predicted, all communication between her and Cash Money was nixed, and Nicki randomly started dissing her on tracks.

“The problem with her is, she was very catty with it. I never had a problem with her. I was always nice with her. Always. She was a very obnoxious person, but I was very nice with her. From the time I saw her in that dressing room, the story she told, I don’t even know what the heck she was talking about. That’s not even how it happened.

“But from the moment that I met her, I was always cool with her. But after that, it almost seems like, when they realized, OK, we need Kim, we want to study her swag, that’s what it kind of felt like because I was around for a long time. They were like, OK, let’s study her swag and I think they wanted to get that record just to stamp that I was OK with what was going on.”

Kim also recalled when she and Nicki were together at a birthday party for Diddy’s oldest son, and Nicki “rolled her eyes” at her.

“After that whole Cash Money situation with the song, we’re at Justin’s birthday party. Perfect time to come up and say, ‘Hey, we did the song together.’ Nothing. And she looked at me and rolled her eyes, and I was like, really? Every single record she made was coming at me … She was coming at me in the Puffy record and in the Jay and Kayne record.”

“She wanted to be the only female out there. So when Baby said we not f*ckin’ with this chick cause you can’t stand next to her, she loved it! She didn’t want to stand next to me.” Lil’ Kim added that in the music industry men pit women against each other and Kim said, “Don’t come at me indirectly in records…..don’t do that. At the end of the day, she should have just said ‘I don’t care, you my b*tch, I want to do other stuff with you.”

The Breakfast Club crew asked Lil Kim if there was any chance that she and Nicki Minaj could reconcile in the future, and her response was very straight-forward:

“It will never happen.”

As if being embroiled in a beef with Iggy Azalea and T.I. wasn’t enough … Hip-Hop newbie Azealia Banks has sparked yet another rap beef with someone else.

This time around, she’s shooting off at the mouth (via her infamous Twitter page, of course) about Lil Kim, who she says snubbed her after she sent her a song she wanted her to rap on.

Without mentioning any names, Banks tweeted on Saturday:

It really sucks when someone you respect and admire is trying to act brand new when all u did was reach out and try to work… I can’t lie… My little feelings are hurt. Women are so petty… But whatever…Your loss… Not mine.

The very next day, Azealia went in a little deeper and actually mentioned who she was referring to in her previous tweets, and also explained why she was so upset.

According to her tweets, Azealia reached out to Lil Kim and sent her a “reference verse” because she wanted the two of them to do a song together.

But Lil Kim, clearly offended at the fact that Azealia would basically write her verse for her, respectfully declined the offer in a message sent by her assistant.

So in response, Azealia — being the loose cannon that she is — chose to go in on Lil Kim on Twitter, and attacked her credibility, claiming that she “doesn’t write her own raps.”

Okay so true tea is that Lil Kim got mad that I wrote a verse for her on a record I wanted her on.

Everyone knows Lil Kim doesn’t write her own raps and I saw this as a faster more efficient way of getting the track done.

She then had her assistant write me some long ass offensive email about how Lil Kim writes her own raps and doesn’t need anyone’s help.

So….. My question was and is still… IS SHE DOING THE TRACK?

Who cares about what you use to do…. WILL YOU DO THE TRACK??!

Shortly after Azealia Banks’ Twitter rant, Lil Kim’s publicist released a statement accusing the rap newcomer of manufacturing a phony beef for publicity:

Earlier today a press release went out making a claim that there was friction between Hip Hop Icon “Lil Kim” and aspiring hip artist azealia banks. The release comes as a surprise to our team, being that my client and azealia have NEVER spoke to one another or met AT ALL.

Kim was actually very flattered azealia’s public admiration for her, which is why it’s so hard to understand how someone who claims to be a true Lil Kim fan could flip the script so easily on someone who was supposedly their idol.

It is also VERY interesting that NO ONE from her team made any attempts to reach out to anyone from our team to voice any concerns or problems that they may have had. I have NEVER heard of anyone having a conflict with someone they have NEVER met with or personally spoke with.

We have no idea what they are referencing and have no desire to discuss the matter any further as there is nothing to talk about. It honestly seems that someone from azealia’s team would rather have her fans buy into manufactured drama instead of buying music.

Kim knows nothing of any beef, and furthermore has had nothing but nice things to say about her. We don’t know what this is and will not address this any further. It seems that this is another sad attempt by someone trying to use my client for publicity. We wish her nothing but the best.

Predictably, that statement led to yet ANOTHER Twitter rant from Azealia Banks:

The female rapper — whose last album was released almost 10 years ago — recently sat down with The Women of Hip-Hop for an exclusive interview where she discsusses her new project, as well as her thoughts on new femcees Azealia Banks and Iggy Azalea, the Nicki Minaj vs. Lil Kim Beef, her dream collaboration and more.

On her new music: “I’m gonna throw out a viral single at the end of this month before the official single. I’m probably gonna throw out a couple records before the radio single. My whole goal for this record, since it’s been so long, I wanted to make sure that my core audience didn’t feel like Eve completely forgot about us and went to another side. I feel like this record is well rounded. It has enough of the hard street stuff, it has some radio stuff, but it also has some stuff that people can listen to when they’re feeling down.”

On new female rappers: “I like Azealia Banks. I think her style is dope. If you listen to her lyrics, she knows how to wordplay and I think that’s cute. I’m not really into the Iggy Azalea chick. I can’t really fuck with her music, but her look is crazy. I just can’t believe it.”

On her dream collaboration: “Lauryn Hill has always been my one dream collaboration. She to me is so dope lyrically. Unfortunately, she’s just in a place right now mentally, but that would be a dream come true.”

On which five female MCs she would put on a record: “I would definitely have to get Missy [Elliott]. I would definitely have to do Kim ’cause I never got to do a record with Kim. Azealia Banks, I like her. A lot of people want me to hate on Nicki and say crazy things about her. I ain’t got nothing to say about her. Until somebody names me by name, then I don’t feel like nobody [is talking] about me. I wouldn’t have a problem putting her on a record.”

On the Lil’ Kim vs. Nicki Minaj feud: “It’s not about publicity. It’s about wanting that respect. I think maybe that’s where Kim is coming from, like, you’re doing your thing right now and no one can take that away from you, Nicki—we all see it—but at the end of the day, if it wasn’t for Kim, she wouldn’t be here and that shit is real.”

Lil Kim feels like she was disrespected after BET personality Rocsi Diaz asked her a question about Nicki Minaj during a recent appearance on BET’s 106 & Park.

Lil Kim was on the show Friday (Mar 9) to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the death of her late friend Notorious B.I.G. and promote her own projects, however the nature of the interview quickly changed once host Rocsi mentioned what she referred to as the “elephant in the room,” or in other words … Nicki Minaj.

Kim tried to politely brush the “question” off, however Rocsi continued to press the issue, stating:

“Kim, with much respect due to you and your craft and I’m not trying to not say what the fans don’t want to hear but it’s being an elephant in the room and it’s being spit out there. It’s the only reason why I address it, but I respect your game if you say you don’t want to talk about it but I don’t want to see you talking about it somewhere else.”

Without either of them actually mentioning Minaj’s name, a clearly irritated Lil Kim quickly responded back, saying that she was done talking about the issue … at least for now:

“At the end of the day, this is about Kim right now. We gave you that movie already, you know what I’m sayin’. We movin’ on to a whole ‘nother direction and if it come back that way, then we give ya’ll another movie. But right now we moving into another direction. ‘Bout to drop some new singles for Queen Bee and Brooklyn.”

Lil Kim later addressed the situation on Twitter:

“I want to take this time 2 say #TeamLilKim & all my fans that came out 2 106. I f**king love u guys. Y’all really turnt it up & represented,” she tweeted. “Even when Rocsi tried to get disrespectful towards the end & ask an unappropriate irrelevant question on the day we are supposed to be celebrating my man, notorious B.I.G’s accomplishments.”

Too bad it’s not the Lil Kim you’re thinking of, because landing a cover like that would definitely one up her archenemy Nicki Minaj.

But let’s be serious about this for a quick second. Lil Kim — the rapper — will probably NEVER land a cover like this, though it’s still a pretty big deal they used her name to make fun of the new Korean dictator.

The “Lil Kim” TIME is referring too is 29-year-old Kim Jong Un, who was appointed the new ruler of North Korea following the death of his father Kim Jong Il last year.

Why did they call him Lil Kim though?

Floyd Mayweather Jr. was supposed to turn himself in Friday (Jan 6) to begin his 90-day jail sentence on charges stemming from an assault on his ex girlfriend/baby mama. However a judge has agreed to postpone to the pro boxer’s jail sentence so that he can train for a May 5th fight against a currently unnamed opponent.

The Associated Press reported yesterday that several of Floyd’s famous friends — including “#MoneyTeam” members Ray J and Lil Kim — were at the court house to support the boxer.

Sources close to Lil Kim told TMZ that she and Floyd “have become really close friends,” and Kim has put her career on hold, canceling recent New Year’s Eve appearances and pushing her holiday album’s release back, just so that she could be there for Mayweather while he awaits his sentence.

“Money Mayweather” now has until June 1st to turn himself in, thanks to Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa ruling, which came after Mayweather’s defense lawyer cited the economic boost that Las Vegas could get from the Cinco de Mayo fight, AP reported.

The lawyer estimated that Mayweather’s last seven fights in Las Vegas brought in at least $1 billion in gross revenue to the community. He predicts that the May 5th fight will bring in over $100 million.

It was rumored that Floyd Mayweather would finally use May 5th as a chance to fight his archenemy Manny Pacquiao, the wildly popular 33-year-old boxer who is considered to best in the world, next to Mayweather of course.

However Pacquio’s promoter Bob Arum has reportedly shot those rumors down, saying that there have been no recent discussions to stage a fight between Mayweather and Pacquio.

Meanwhile, Mayweather’s manager Leonard Ellerbe told news reporters that his opponent’s would be announced as early as next week.

“We’ll make an announcement about who we’re going to fight next week. We just came out of the … court hearing. Give us a chance to catch our breath,” Ellerbe said.

R&B star Mary J. Blige refuses to take sides in this whole “Lil Kim vs. Nicki Minaj” beef. In fact….Mary J. wants the rap ladies to squash their beef, which she believes is being fueled by their respective crews.

“Kim is my friend and I love and respect Nicki,” Blige said in an interview with Chicago radio station WGCI. “I got to know the young lady and she’s a sweetheart. … It’s the crews [fueling it.] It’s the people behind the whole thing. Maybe one day it will happen. I’m hoping. We just all got to think positive. Everyone is just thinking so negative about it and everyone is in it, but if a bunch of people would say, ‘Yo, stop this and let’s help these girls do something together or to see the light.’”

Rap star Lil Kim recently celebrated the opening of Salon Se Swa, her latest hair salon in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Lil Kim launched the newest 3,600 square-foot salon with business partner Katrise Jones, making the business the fifth salon location the rap star owns in North Carolina.

“This new location allows us to cater to a larger customer base and better serve the needs of not only Charlotte, but also its surrounding areas” Salon Se Swa owner Katrise Jones told AllHipHop.com. “We are extremely excited about our upcoming Customer Appreciation Day. Our clientele is vital to the success of our blossoming business. They appreciate the high end services that we provide and we in turn appreciate the, returning for a few hours each week, as they get dolled up and pampered.”

Lil Kim partnered with Katrise Jones in September of 2011 to become co-owner of the Salon Se Swa salon, which was established in 1999.

The pair have been expanding their brand ever since.

While Kim and Katrise already own locations in Raleigh, Greensboro, Winston-Salem and Rocky Mount North Carolina, the pair are planning to turn the salon into the next big franchise.

Former collaborators 50 Cent and Lil Kim linked up earlier this week to perform their 2003 hit single “Magic Stick” at the Winterbeatz Music Festival in Melbourne, Australia.

Though largely unconfirmed, recent reports suggested that the pint-size rapper had inked a deal with 50 Cent’s G-Unit records. But acording to UMG’s new roster, Lil Kim is now an artist under Universal Music Group.

Other acts who performed Wednesday night (Aug 17) at the Winterbeatz festival in Australia were rapper Fabolous and R&B singer Mario. Check out a few pics below:

But it now it looks like Kim has finally found a home and has officially signed with Universal Music Group, as noted by her appearance on the roster on the label’s official website.

An A&R for the label named Jaywan also confirmed the news via Twitter:

“Just signed @LilKim to a deal here at Universal. Welcome to the team mama! Looking forwaed to working with you and your team #Congrats.”

Kim has already reportedly started on a new album under her new label due for release later this year, which will include the not-yet-released single “Looks Like Money.”

Sidenote: Universal heads Cash Money, which is over Young Money, which just so happens to be home to … you know who.

While something like this is pretty inevitable given that there are only a handful of major labels out there, the fact that Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj are going to be under the same parent company is going to bring about some interesting developments!

It’s a big momma thang, and apparently Biggie’s mom won’t clear the sample on Monica’s new single “Anything (To Find You).” The track which features Rick Ross, Missy Elliot and Lil Kim contains samples from the Notorious B.I.G.’s 1995 track “Who Shot Ya” and according to Monica’s Twitter Ms. Wallace cleared the sample, but denied Kim’s contribution.

“I am just finding out what has happened to my single and myself & Missy are beyond hurt that @LilKim was removed. She’s our friend, a legend & @LilKim will get the respect she deserves at all cost. The clearance was revoked & I’m fighting to get it reinstated by the Biggie Estate.” the R&B singer wrote on Thursday (July 14).

“I am as through as they come and I LOVE @LilKim bottom line is Ms Wallace has the final say and she said No. If we put it out we get SUED,” she added.

BET Awards who? That’s exactly what the self-proclaimed Queen Bee aka Lil Kim must have been saying Sunday (Jun 26) when she snubbed the this year’s Black Entertainment Television Awards.

While the majority of Black entertainment figures were in L.A. attending the 2011 BET Awards, Lil Kim was in NYC at the Gay Pride Parade.

With some of her classic hip-hop anthems blaring from an Asian themed float Kim, donning hit pink killer heels, was celebrating the recently passed same-sex marriage law that had been passed in the city earlier that week.

“Thank you Pride nyc!!! My G bf’s & gf’s are the best,” Kim told her fans while performing at Latin Quarters nightclub later that evening.

Over the weekend, Shawty Lo brought Lil Kim out on stage during Hot 107.9′s Birthday Bash and after she performed “It’s All About the Benjamins,” the Queen Bee made an announcement that left many to believe she might be joining the gang as well.

Former female Ruff Ryder Eve wants somebody to knock some sense into Lil Kim‘s noggin.

In a interview with Tim Westwood, Eve gave her opinion on the ongoing feud between the Queen Bee and Nicki Minaj.

I need her to stop. If I was Kim’s friend, I’d be like, yo. Because she’s Kim, period, So she never has to feed. She shouldn’t. It’s bad. It’s not a good look. If I was her friend, I’d tell her, yo, just come back bigger and better. The best way to get at people is to do you better than you’ve ever done you. So that’s it…I love it. You know, it’s definitely a nice group of females that’s out representing, but because I come from hip-hop, I need more females in hip-hop.

Nicki definitely is holding the flag down, and a lot of people be wanting me to hate just because that’s how girls supposed to do in hip-hop, but I’m loving everything she does. But we need more females, man. There’s too much testosterone in the hip-hop game.

Now that your mixtape Black Friday is out, when are we going to get the next studio album?
I’m always working. You’re gonna always hear music from me. I can honestly say I’m so proud of the body of work that I’ve been producing. It’s a new sound for me, something that I think my fans are gonna love and I’m excited about the new direction. I’m basically always working. You’re gonna always hear music from me, but you’re gonna have that coming right after [the mixtape]. We got some surprises and some treats.

Do you have an album title yet?
I have a few, but I really don’t want to mention them now.

Is it going to be more like the Hard Core days or will we see the pop side of Kim?
You’re gonna get a mixture. There’s no way to just go straight Hard Core. I’m not one of those artists that say, “OK, I’m in a Hard Core mood, so everything’s gonna be Hard Core.” I’m not one of those artists. I don’t live my life like that. I don’t wake up every day and feel that same feeling. I live by the nature really. There are artists who will take a certain concept and go with that concept through the whole album; I’m not like that. I’m an artist who likes for everything to be universal.

Which producers are you working with?
Well, just so you know, I’m on Dr. Dre’s Detox album and I can’t wait, wait, wait, wait for that. The song is freakin’ phenomenal. It’s definitely something that my Hard Core fans are going to love, love, love, love, love. In return he’s doing a song for me on my album. I got Timbaland. I’m not the type of person where every name has to be a big name. I just have a really wonderful relationship with Timbaland and a wonderful relationship with Dr. Dre, so I’m lucky to have them as in-house producers. I also have up-and-coming producers, who people are going to get to know through my music. They’re not even out there like that.

There were reports that you were signing with Roc Nation…
I did get offers from representatives from Roc Nation and I did get phone calls from representatives from Roc Nation. A couple representatives from Def Jam had also reached out to me. I think they’re both amazing companies and I think it would’ve been brilliant for me and Jay to collaborate and team up together. However it just didn’t pan out like that. Not to say that something with me and Jay can’t happen in the future, but I doubt if Jay-Z or Roc Nation will be a part of my upcoming album. He and I are really good friends. We both were excited about the idea of us collaborating and maybe me signing with Roc Nation. I think Jay-Z is letting me be Kim at this moment. I think he feels that I deserve to be Kim and also to have everything that… It’s hard for record companies to sign females these days and give them exactly what they want and need. I understand that. It’s a different world out there.

Have you signed a new record deal or are you in the process of doing that?
I have a lot of situations on the table and I have a lot of situations in effect. For the most part, I’m very independent right now. All the situations that I have on the table, whatever the situation is, it’s going to be a partnership.

You previously mentioned a potential collaboration with Rihanna. Did anything happen?
Well, I mentioned I would love to collaborate with her. She’s my favorite pop artist right now. I think she’s just phenomenal. I feel like collaborations with people happen naturally. But I do have three people on my radar that I wanna work with so bad, but I’m not gonna tell you who they are. You know why I’m not gonna tell you? Because there were two people that I wanted to work with that [Nicki Minaj] ended up working with and I feel like it’ll just jinx it when you say it out loud. People hear you and they wanna do the same thing you do. I know that this collaboration is gonna happen. I feel it. I see it happening.

As a hip-hop veteran, who are you feeling these days?
I almost listen to everyone’s music. I’m really loving Wiz Khalifa. I like him a lot. I think he’s a dope artist. And also another up-and-coming artist, his name is Big Sean. I think he’s hot. There’s a lot of pop artists I love. I love rock ‘n’ roll music. I love all types of music. Usher, I’m loving him again. Not to say I stopped loving him, but at one point I didn’t understand the direction his music was going in, but I am in love with everything he’s doing now.

What do you think of Lady Gaga’s new single “Born This Way”?
I love Lady Gaga. Anything she does, I love. Even if it’s not my favorite Lady Gaga record—she’s just phenomenal. She is so cute.

Some people have compared her to you, saying she’s taken a page from your book at times.
I see that. I can see some of my influences too, but you know what I love about it? She just made it her own. She went in a direction that is her own. I would never try to go in that direction. She went in a direction where I love to watch her.

Maybe one day we’ll see a Kim and Gaga collaboration?
[Laughs] She’s wonderful. She’s definitely wonderful.

Any other projects coming out that you’re excited about?
Well, I have a book deal that’s been in the works for a long time. We’re finally starting the process of getting it out. It won’t come out around the same time as my album, but a little bit after my album comes out. I’m excited about that book. The name of the book is The Price of Loyalty. I have a book deal with St. Martin’s Press and I cannot wait for this book to come out because it’s solely about my stay in prison and a lot of the wonderful, beautiful girls that I met in prison. It’s some of their stories mixed with my stories mixed with the whole prison situation, and even how it came to be for me. It’s gonna be an interesting book. I do have some other things that I’m excited about, some endorsement situations.

Anything you’d like to add?
I just want to thank all my fans for making Black Friday so successful. I love seeing my fans smile and cry tears of joy because everywhere I go they’re just freaking so supportive. I want to thank them right now and just let everybody know that they can find me on Twitter @LilKim.

Lil Kim isn’t worried about those of us who are pointing and laughing at her claims that she sold 113,000 copies of her Black Friday mixtape. In an interview with our friends over at Rap-Up, the Queen Bee responded to all of her so called “haters.”

Rap-Up: You tweeted that you sold 113,000 copies of Black Friday within 28 hours. Is that accurate?
Lil Kim: Right now it could be more.

What do you say to those who question the authenticity of those figures?
At the end of the day, you’re always going to have your haters. We need the haters. There was actually a representative at PayPal who basically didn’t really confirm or deny it, but also [said] that they’re very happy and proud of the success of Lil’ Kim. I think numbers in other areas speak for themselves. I mean, why aren’t they questioning the Black Friday [video] being at 2.5 [million views] in less than 18 hours? Why aren’t they questioning that? What’s the difference? How can you add up one thing and not the other? I just feel like people pick and choose the area that they want to attack [laughs].

Do you know the current sales numbers?
No, I actually don’t know right now. I have a team that kinda checks up on all that. We’ll keep you posted.

Nicki Minaj laughed off your sales claims. Did you see that?
I heard about it. I didn’t see it actually for myself, but to be honest with you, homegirl is basically obsolete to me right now. She’s doing a lot of lame stuff. She’s so lame to me right now—she’s always been, but now really. At the end of the day, her sales can be questioned also. Not to say she didn’t have the build-up, but the only thing you kept hearing before her album dropped was nobody liked it, it was wack. Don’t get me wrong, she might have a couple songs that are OK, but who cares. The haters will be haters, that’s their job, and we need them.

Rapper Lil Kim was at Club QUO in New York City over the weekend (Fri. Jan 14) to perform at their weekly gay event “Rockit.”

The “Queen Bee” had fun taking pictures with some fans dressed in drag and…we couldn’t help but notice how tight those purple pants were hugging on Kim’s “goodies.” They, uh, gave her shape and other things a lot of definition. (LOL!!)

Over the weekend at a New Year’s Eve concert, Lil Kim duped us all into believing she was planning on working with Mary J. Blige on a diss record that would go after Nicki Minaj and Keyshia Cole in response to their “I Ain’t Thru” collaboration. But now, just days later, it seems like the pint-sized rapper has had a change of heart, and will NOT be doing a diss track with MJB afterall.

Yesterday, Lil Kim’s camp issued the following statement:

Contrary to circulating reports, Hip-hop Icon Lil’ Kim will not be releasing a diss record with Mary J. Blige. Rumors began circulating after a live videostream of Lil’ Kim’s New Years’ Eve performance re-aired show footage. During the performance, Lil’ Kim spoke out about how she felt about Keyshia Cole and Nicki Minaj’s song ‘I Aint Thru.’ She did not insinuate a collaborative diss record. There will be no “diss” track.

Nicki Minaj: Yes! I hope so. I love me some Oprah. It’s the beginning stage but I never imagined in a million years that this would be happening. It’s quite surreal.

T Magazine: Are you happy with your first CD?
Nicki Minaj: Of course! It’s amazing. Honestly, sometimes I get tired of some of the songs because they have been with me for so long but overall I never imagined that it would be something that I would cherish so much and be so proud of. Obviously, I’ve done mix tapes before but having the album out feels like I am finally a real artist, like I have the stamp of approval as an artist from myself.

Nicki Minaj:Exactly. That’s why in “Roman’s Revenge,” the song I do with Eminem, I say “I am not Jasmine, I’m Aladdin.” It’s time for the girl to be the main character, you know?

T Magazine: Well, you’ve always been a superhero to me and part of your weaponry has always been your makeup. It’s fitting that you now have your own lipstick.
Nicki Minaj: Isn’t it cool? Anyone who knows me will tell you that I’m inspired by color and everyone knows I love pink. Actually, when I was first doing shoots people would always ask me to change my color of lipstick. Normally people wear different lipsticks, but pink is my thing and to change it would be like me changing my name when I walk out of the door.

T Magazine: A lot is made about your costumery, but tell me a bit about your personal style.
Nicki Minaj: When I’m just at home or in the studio, I’d rather be chill. I like to dress down on my personal time but when it’s time to go out it’s on. I do like a pop of color.

T Magazine: And I know you have been vocal in saying that it’s not all sex all the time, but you always wear body-con stuff.
Nicki Minaj: Yeah, but to me it’s less about wearing the tightest thing than wearing what makes me feel confident. Sometimes if something is too tight I’m not confident, I’m like, Don’t look!

T Magazine: I saw your documentary, “My Time Now,” and I have to say that parts of it, like when you cry talking about your grandmother’s passing, are heartbreaking. How hard is it to open up like that and talk about things like your dad doing crack?
It’s very hard and to be honest, he kind of caught me off guard when he asked me about my grandmother. I wasn’t prepared to answer that question. But that’s when you get the raw emotion and if being open about the things that have happened in my life inspires someone then it’s cool with me. I’ve done my part.

T Magazine: I thought it was also very important to show you in the studio, producing, writing on the fly, showing yourself as a creative person.
Nicki Minaj: Well, it’s hard to be a female rapper but it’s more tough being credited with the work that you put in as a female rapper because people assume that you’re not the brains behind the operation or that you’re not the one doing writing these lyrics. So letting people come into my world and see that I am doing these things is good for all girls.

T Magazine: That brings up an interesting point because I would be pretty remiss not to mention your spat with Lil’ Kim. When she badmouths you and others doesn’t that just make it even harder for female rappers?
Nicki Minaj: It does, it does. But the thing that I want to promote is that if you see someone doing their thing, give them their props. We all have it hard and face the same challenges as female emcees. Show some mutual love and respect for each other so that it doesn’t get nasty. And she can be a nasty character.

Speaking of characters, I wasn’t sure which of your alter egos would show up today. I was hoping for Roman.
Nicki Minaj: [Nicki Minaj laughs and puts on a thick English accent.] Sometimes if it’s really early in the morning, Roman gets cranky and doesn’t want to get out of bed. Roman is lazy, you know, he wants to stay out all night and not wake up so I send Nicki out into the world. Roman has to be conjured up and now you’ve conjured him.

You’ve said that Roman is a sister. Please tell me he helps out with your hair and makeup.
Nicki Minaj: Of course. Roman is leading the way when it comes to makeup and hair. He’s gay!
