Lil Boosie is NOT GUILTY!

After six days of testimony from 27 witnesses and a nearly two-hour jury deliberation, Lil Boosie‘s murder trial finally concluded early Friday afternoon (May 11), and the Louisiana rapper was acquitted of ALL first-degree murder charges for the shooting death of a 35-year-old man named Terry Boyd.

Prosecutors argued that Boosie hired Michael “Marlo Mike” Louding to kill Boyd, who was shot to death through a window in 2009 while he was sitting inside his home.

One of the 27 witnesses called during the trial was Louding, who earlier had admitted his involvement in the murder to police, but he changed his story again in court this week, saying he had been pressured by detectives to give a confession.

During a pre-trial hearing held on April 24th, detective Alvin Howard confirmed Louding’s confession. Louding — who is accused of six different murders in Baton Rouge — told detectives that Lil Boosie gave him $2,800 to kill Terry Boyd.

The prosecution also tried to argue that the lyrics to some of Boosie’s songs proved his role in the murder, but obviously the jury didn’t buy it, and cleared the rapper of the murder charges.

If Boosie had been convicted of murder, he could have faced a possible life prison sentence.

“All I can do is give the glory to God because I knew he was never guilty,” said Connie Hatch, the rapper’s mother. “He’s crying and he knew from the beginning he was never guilty.”

“This man has been innocent,” said Boosie’s defense attorney Jason Williams. “He’s been innocent this whole time. Fans across the whole world have been praying for this. And, I thank God that justice was swift. I thank God that the truth came out.”

After the conclusion of the murder trial, the 29-year-old rapper was taken to the West Baton Rouge Parish Prison, where he has been held since the start of the trial.

Lil Boosie is currently serving an 8-year prison sentence for attempting to sneak drugs into two Louisiana State prisons … but that’s nothing compared to life in prison.

Soon, time will tell the fate of Louisiana rapper Lil Boosie. In a new letter penned to his fans, Boosie reveals he will stand trial for murder this April, and also thanks all those who have been showing him love and support.

Lil Boosie is currently serving an 8-year prison sentence for attempting to sneak drugs into two Louisiana State prisons. At the time, he was already in jail serving a four year sentence on drug charges.

Lil Boosie, born Torrence Hatch, is also facing a possible death sentence or life in prison if he is convicted on murder charges in April.

Social media has killed off yet another celebrity…

As the world was mourning Whitney Houston‘s unexpected death last night came false reports that incarcerated rapper Lil Boosie had died after being stabbed in prison. The rumors started on popular social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter and spread from there.

But according to rapper Webbie, an affiliate of Lil Boosie, the rumors are completely untrue, and Lil Boosie is NOT dead.

Gotta keep your head up….

Lil Boosie is remaining optimistic after being sentenced to 8 years in prison yesterday for attempting to smuggle drugs into prison.

Surprisingly, the rapper’s lawyer says he is happy with the time the judge gave him and is confident he will be allowed to participate in a drug rehab program.

Boosie, who is reportedly addicted to codeine and other drugs, also sent a personal statement to TMZ on the matter, stating:

“Don’t worry about me I am getting help with my drug addiction and I am accepting full responsibility for the choice I made. I am going to fight the false murder charge till the end. Love you all.”

If only Conrad Murray could have this same type of attitude……if you do the crime, do the time!

Lil Boosie just can’t catch a break!

The “Wipe Me Down” rapper, who is currently in jail awaiting trial on murder charges, was sentenced to 8 years in prison this morning for previously attempting to smuggle drugs into both the Dixon Correctional Center and Angola State Penitentiary.

Baton Rouge rapper Lil Boosie arrived at district court Tuesday morning for a pre-trial motion and ended up pleading guilty to drug charges.

Lil Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, pled guilty to three counts of conspiring to bring drugs into a penal institution. Judge Mike Erwin sentenced him to eight years in prison.

Investigators said he tried to smuggle drugs into Dixon Correctional Center once and into Angola State Penitentiary twice.

After the judge announced the sentencing, Lil Boosie requested drug rehab. Erwin said he would recommend it but could not order it.

Supporters for the rapper were seen hanging their heads low once the judge made that statement.

On another note, he walked into the courtroom wearing an expensive pair of Addidas tennis shoes, instead of prison-issued sneakers.

There were about 12 deputies with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office surrounding Lil Boosie while he was in court.

Lil Boosie is also charged with first-degree murder in the death of Terry Boyd.

Prior to the plea, Erwin refused to remove District Attorney Hillar Moore from that case.

Lil Boosie’s lawyers subpoenaed Michael Louding, also known as Marlo Mike, to testify on Lil Boosie’s behalf after repeatedly trying to get Louding on the stand.

Louding’s attorney, Margaret Lagatutta, said she will fight the subpoena.

Louding is accused of six separate murders.

Prosecutors said Louding told them he was hired as a hitman by Lil Boosie.

It is unclear if the death penalty is on the table.

It seems like every few months things just seem to get worse and worse for Boosie…..SMH!

Lil Boosie‘s mother Connie Hatch is upset about the lack of love her son has been getting behind bars.

In a recent interview, Mrs. Hatch told On Wax magazine that Boosie has been in lock down since June and hasn’t received any support from his fellow rap mates.

“He’s always locked down/ For example, a three-way call – he’s locked down for that. And most inmates make three-way calls. He’s locked down for another inmate taking a picture of him – [the inmate] sent it to his girlfriend and the girlfriend put it on the Internet. Whether or not the other inmate was punished, I don’t know. But because of these two incidents Torrance has been locked down since June. From June until December.

“No telephone calls, no contact, no store. He’s locked up in the cell for 23 hours. The only time he comes out is one-hour a day…Not one rapper [has reached out] — The only person I have spoken with is Young Jeezy. I heard from him but he hasn’t done anything as of yet. But the rest of them, you hear from them, but when you call them, they know my number so they don’t respond. My child was not like that. He gave to everybody.”

Incarcerated rapper Lil Boosie, who is already in jail facing murder charges, was formally indicted Thursday for allegedly trying to smuggle drugs into prison for the second time!

The latest charge stems from a May incident when Torrence “Lil Boosie” Hatch and two other inmates attempted to sneak codeine into the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola. The 28-year-old Baton rouge rapper is already under indictment on a charge of conspiring to introduce illegal drugs into another state prison (the Dixon Correctional Institute at Jackson).

Boosie and the other two men, Titus Franklin and Arthur Stewart, both 27, were all charged with one count of criminal conspiracy to take contraband to and from a penal institution.

Boosie, currently serving a 4-year prison sentence for drugs and gun possession, was individually charged with inciting a felony, while the other guys each were charged with a count of possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.

On top of the remaining 2 years he is serving from an unrelated drug charge, Boosie could get another 4 years due to his most recent charges.

Lil Boosie has been serving time behind bars since 2009 after he pleaded guilty to a third-offense marijuana possession charge. He was indicted on a first-degree murder charge in June 2010 for the October 2009 slaying of 35-year-old Terry Boyd.

Prosecutors allege that Hatch hired someone to kill Boyd, and that hired “hitman” (who was only 16 years old at the time) is also charged with first-degree murder in Boyd’s death, along with 5 other killings. On a separate case, Boosie is accused of paying the same teenager to kill Christopher “Nussie” Jackson.

With Boosie’s rap sheet growing every month … it doesn’t look like he’ll be getting out of prison anytime soon.

Yesterday, felony charges were filed against the Louisiana rapper for attempting to smuggle codeine into a prison.

Rapper Lil Boosie was hit with drug charges today (May 25th), for attempting to smuggle codeine syrup into Angola prison.

According to Louisiana State Police Lieut. Doug Cain, Lil Boosie was working with two Baton Rouge men to get the drug into Angola prison.

Police began an investigation and had an undercover officer work with two local men, Titus Franklin 27, and Arthur Stewart, also 27.

Both men were arrested last week and hit with drug charges, according to Lieut. Cain.

Lil Boosie, born Torrence Hatch, was booked into Parish Prison and charged on one count of conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal institution and inciting a felony.

Lil Boosie is currently serving 10 years prison for possession of marijuana, although he was only expected to serve two years of the sentence.

While he was in prison for his third marijuana possession charge, the rapper was indicted for first degree murder.

In that case Boosie is charged with paying a hit man to kill 35-year-old Terry Boyd in October of 2009.

Boosie is also being investigated into at least five other murders in Baton Rouge, along with five other men.

Lil Boosie and his lawyer Jason Williams are fighting to get the D.A. removed from his murder case because the rapper feels as though he’s getting an unfair trial.

Torrence Hatch, better known as Lil Boosie, is in trouble with the law but lawyer Jason Williams thinks he’s getting an unfair rap. According to Williams, the District Attorney filed murder charges against Boosie shortly after hearing a Boosie track titled “Fuck ‘Em All” that disses the District Attorney and the lawyers, accusing them of racism and cursing them to go “to hell.”

According to Williams, the District Attorney heard the song and prepared the case because of it. As a result, Williams would like the D.A. off of the case. “Mr. Moore learned of these disparaging comments and within 10 days of hearing these remarks, he prepared a case against Torrence Hatch to bring before a grand jury when the individuals actually responsible for this crime had been in custody for quite some time,” Williams noted.

Currently, Boosie is being held on a first degree murder charge. The case against him states that he paid to have a man, Terry Boyd, killed. Moore responded to these claims with The Advocate, saying the allegations from Williams are untrue. “He’s calling me a racist. It (the criminal case against Hatch) has nothing to do with color,” Moore said. “The indictment had nothing to do with a song. It has to do with dead bodies and victims.”

A State Judge will rule on the case in late June. The lyrics in question are below.

Well….according to a new source from around the way, Boosie may be receiving another first degree murder charge in the next few days. We don’t know how true any of this is, but lets just say we’ve been right on the money so far.

Either way, Boosie is claiming he’s innocent on all charges during footage of him being transported to the East Baton Rogue jail Friday (Jun 18). In addition to a first-degree murder charge, Boosie was also hit with drug distribution charges after he allegedly tried to smuggle ecstasy, marijuana, and codeine into prison headquarters. If convicted of these charges, Boosie could face death by lethal injection.

Rapper Lil Boosie a.k.a Torrance Hatch has been indicted of first degree murder and drug charges. It all stemmed from an October 21st shooting which led to the death of a guy named Terry Boyd.

An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury charged Boosie along with Michael Louding and Adrian Pittman with first-degree murder Thursday (Jun 17) for their involvement in Boyd’s death. According to District Attorney Hillar Moore the death penalty is not out of the question!

Man… this is just crazy. We have no words.

We seriously hope that this is just another one of those crazy rumors flying around…..but word on the streetz is rapper Lil Boosie may be facing a lot more jail time than any of us could have imagined!

Last year, Boosie was sentenced to four years in prison for violating probation. Now the “Wipe Me Down” rapper may be receiving a much longer prison stint because reports are stating he is on the verge of being charged with first-degree murder. Boosie along with five other men were allegedly involved in a string of murders that took place in Louisiana, and even included rapper Chris “Nussie” Jackson.

If this turns out to be true, this will be quite devastating for the lad since the punishment in Lousiana for first-degree murder is either a life sentence or the death penalty!

Woahhh, wait!! The death penalty?!? The hell has Boosie gotten himself into?!
