Lady Gaga and her creative director Laurieann Gibson have parted ways following a “bitter fight,” The Hollywood Reporter confirmed this week.

Gaga and Gibson had been working together since the beginning of Lady Gaga’s career, with Gibson having helped Gaga with her “Monster Ball” Tour and several music videos.

But recent reports suggested that the pair’s relationship began to falter earlier this year over their differing appearances regarding the production of Lady Gaga’s music videos for “Edge of Glory,” “You and I” and “Judas.”

A popular gossip site originally reported that the pair had a “bitter fight” over Gibson’s ego, which had apparently gotten out of control, and now it’s being confirmed that Gaga and Gibson will be going their separate ways.

Gibson’s No. 2, Richard Jackson, is now taking over choreographing duties for Gaga, as confirmed by a tweet from the pop star earlier this month.

“Warming up with my choreographer Richard Jackson, singing + pinning garments till the last moment. So excited for The Night, gonna Marry It,” she tweeted.

Lady Gaga just performed her new single “Marry the Night” on the the UK’s “X Factor.”

With a name like “Judas” you know you’re going to spark a bit of controversy … as was the case in Lady Gaga’s new controversial visual for her single which bears the same of Jesus’ betrayer.

Speaking on the uproar the video has caused, Gaga states people need to chill out, saying that the visual “is not meant to be an attack on religion. I respect and love everyone’s beliefs.” And declaring that “it’s meant more to celebrate faith than it is to challenge it.”

When MTV caught up with the video’s  o-director Laurie Ann Gibson, to get her thoughts on an all the hoopla the video has caused, Gibson shared Gaga’s sentiments and even took some shots at a few of the critics in the process.

“To the religious groups, I don’t even know that there’s religious [stuff in there],” she explained. “I’m like, you know, Jesus did have a crown of thrones, he did die for my sins. I’m a believer, so I say to them, those religious people, personally, I can’t speak for Gaga, but as a director, a choreographer, as a believer, I say, ‘Take a look at yourself.’ For me, I would never [defame] my savior and the love and the non-judgment of what Jesus means to me. So I say, ‘Take a closer look at why you’re judging.

Top choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson (aka “Boom Kat”) believes that Young Money femcee Nicki Minaj has the potential to become the next Lady Gaga. After working with Nicki on her VMA pre-show performance, Gibson says that she noticed Minaj had the same qualities she saw in Gaga three years ago before she took the world by storm.

Boom Kat told MTV News:

“What I love about Nicki is she has the eye of the tiger and she is fearless. These are the components that I saw about three years ago in LADY GAGA. I thought, ‘This is going to be fantastic.’ Her swag is amazing.”

The next Lady Gaga? Technically she’s already the Lady Gaga of Hip-Hop or the “Black Lady Gaga” (if you will) and if she keeps it up, she could even be bigger. Lady Gaga needed an album to jump-start her career, and here we are still waiting on Nicki’s debut and you still hear about her every day…

Ryan Seacrest is at it again!

The “American Idol” host will be teaming up with E! and Lady Gaga’s choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson to launch a brand new reality TV show. According to the Hollywood Reporter:

“The network is piloting a project co-starring Lady Gaga’s choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson. Details are being fleshed out, but Gibson will be one of a few cast members on the project, which revolves around choreographers and dancers in Los Angeles.”

Wonder what they have up their sleeves?

R&B crooner Maxwell performed Saturday night (Jul 4) at Day 2 of the Coca-Cola sponsored 2009 Essence Music Festival, held in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Louisiana Superdome.
