Rapper T.I., actor Lance Gross and R&B singer Miguel were among the celebrities who partied with Nelly for his birthday at Vanquish in Atlanta last Thursday night (Nov 17).

Music producers Rico Love and Just Blaze were also spotted in the building as Nelly celebrated his 37th birthday, which was earlier this month on November 2nd.

The 2011 Soul Train Awards were held in Atlanta at the Fox Theater last Thursday night (Nov 17).

Hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, this year’s Soul Train Awards saw appearances from a variety of celebrities, including R&B singer Keri Hilson, model Amber Rose, actor Lance Gross, NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey from the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Tamar Braxton, our blogger friend Necole Bitchie (who won the award for Best Soul Site — CONGRATS!!), and many more.

The show also featured performances from Mindless Behavior, Common, Cee-Lo, Melanie Fiona, Robin Thicke, Eric Benet, Mary Mary, Gladys Knight, Lloyd, Miguel and a few others.

The Soul Train Awards also paid tribute to the late Heavy D midway through the ceremony with a touching video of the rapper accepting a Soul Train award for 1990′s “Big Time,” and performances from Big Daddy Kane, Naughty By Nature, Kurtis Blow and Goodie Mob.

The 33rd Annual UNCF Evening of Stars gala was held Sunday evening (Aug 14) in Pasadena, CA and featured red carpet appearances from Keke Palmer, Pooch Hall & Coby Bell from “The Game,” Lance Gross, Tatyana Ali, Musiq Soulchild, David Banner,  and many others.

During the ceremony, R&B acts like Musiq Soulchild, Miguel, Ledisi, Erykah Badu, Estelle, Jill Scott, Marsha Ambrosius and more, including music legend Patti Labelle, hit the stage and performed.

Tyler Perry‘s newest film “For Colored Girls” premiered this week in New York City. And stars from the movie, including Janet Jackson, Kerry Washington, Thandie Newton, Kimberly Elise and others, walked the red carpet and posed for pics outside before making their way into the Ziegfeld Theater to catch the premiere.

Ludacris (with the help of some of his celebrity friends) hosted his annual all star celebrity basketball game in conjunction with his LudaDay Weekend festivities over Labor Day Weekend in Atlanta.

Sunday (Sep 5) at the 5th Annual LudaDay Weekend Celebrity Basketball Tournament, held at Morehouse College’s Forbes Arena in Atlanta, Luda, Chris Brown, Chris Paul and Terrence J‘s team (with Larenz Tate as assistant coach) competed against Nelly, Polow Da Don and Sammie‘s team (coached by Teyana Taylor with Kenyon Martin as the assistant coach) with Luda’s team taking the win at the final buzzer.

Other celebs spotted at the 5th Annual LudaDay Weekend Celebrity Basketball Tournament were Kelly Rowland, Lance Gross, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Bow Wow, Ne-Yo. And at the end of the game, Luda’s non-profit (The Ludacris Foundation) was presented with a $25,000 donation from AirTran.

With the help of The American Cancer Society, “Cancers for a Cause” was put together by Zone 4 Inc.‘s Clay West, Polow Da Don and Foundation F.O.C.U.S. and is held every year in an effort to educate the community about the growing cancer epidemic.

They were set to wed this summer, but Essence Magazine is reporting that actor Lance Gross (28) and model/actress Eva Marcille (25) have split up. The couple’s reps confirmed the news with an official joint statement:

“Lance Gross and Eva Marcille have mutually decided to end their relationship. The split is completely amicable and both parties remain friends.”

Lance and Eva have been engaged since Christmas Eve 2008, and were planning to get married in July 2010.

Actor Lance Gross is really doing his thing these days! He recently released a new photo shoot entitled “My Life” with photographer Hannibal Matthews. The photo shoot literally features shots of every element of his life which starts with him waking up to his fly fiancee Eva Marcille. He then heads to Tyler Perry Studios to shoot “House of Payne,” and he typically ends his day sitting court side on the floor with floor at an Atlanta Hawks game… or at a strip club (LOL). Actors Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene posed for pictures together as they arrived at Veuve Clicquot’s Yelloween At TAO And LAVO in Las Vegas Saturday night (Oct 31). Sam and Rutina star in the HBO hit series “True Blood,” while Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene are the stars of the “Twilight” hit movie series.

And singer Kat Deluna attended the Heroes vs. Villains Halloween Party Saturday night (Oct 31) at the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City.

Basketball star Carmelo Anthony, Rapper Ludacris and skateboarder Rob Dyrdek are the new faces of TAG signature series body spray and the three of them were pictured clowning around on the red carpet of the launch party for the new line of TAG body sprays at the London Hotel Tuesday (Jul 28) in West Hollywood.

Jasmina Anema is a six year old from Brooklyn battling leukemia, and is in dire need of a bone marrow transplant. But finding a match, which would most likely come from an African American, is especially difficult because Jasmina is adopted and has no siblings. Her battle and the race to find a match for the bone marrow transplant has garnered a lot of press and media attention, especially from the Black celebrities, including Rihanna, Kelly Rowland, Natalie Cole, Vivica A. Fox and more.

Soon-to-be newlyweds Lance Gross and Eva Marcille were all booed up at the Los Angeles screening of “Russell Simmons Presents Brave New Voices,” held at the Steven J. Ross Theater on the Warner Bros. studio lot last Wednesday in Burbank, California.

After more than a year of dating, America’s Next Top Model winner Eva Marcille and Tyler Perry’s House of Payne star Lance Gross are engaged. They discussed the details in a recent interview with Essence Magazine, in which they revealed that Lance popped the question, on bended knee of course, in front of family and friends on Christmas Eve.

On Wednesday, December 24, while vacationing with their families at the couple’s favorite winter getaway spot—the Big Bear ski resort in the San Bernardino Mountains outside of Los Angeles—Marcille and Gross decided to open gifts after dinner in their rented cabin. When Marcille opened her gift—a pillow with a note attached that read: “Hope you like it. Give this pillow to the man you love and he will explain.” After taking the pillow and using it as a cushion, Gross got on bended knee and popped the big question with a 3.36-carat 1895 Pave Cartier ring at 11:30 P.M. PST.

“I was in a complete state of shock!” the 24-year-old Los Angeles native tells ESSENCE.com. “I cried. It was totally unexpected. I’m still in shock. I could not even sleep because I was afraid that I might wake up from the most beautiful dream ever.”

“Eva’s mouth went from closed to on the floor!” jokes Gross, 27, a Howard University alum. “She asked, ‘Baby, is this real? Baby, are you playing with me?’ Then she said, ‘Forever and always: Yes, Yes, Yes!’ And jumped up and hugged me, crying, and then she did her happy dance!”

The blissful couple (an item for a year and a half) first locked eyes at an audition for the film “The Express” two years ago. They were formally introduced on the set of Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne” during a table read. Though Marcille and Gross have yet to set a date, they’re strongly considering a beautiful summer wedding in 2010.

Gross, a NAACP Image Award-winning actor has appeared in Perry’s film “Meet the Browns.” Marcille, winner of cycle three’s “America’s Next Top Model,” recently joined the cast of the popular soap opera “The Young and the Restless.”
