Around this time last year when Lady Gaga released “Born This Way,” music enthusiasts from all over noted that the single reminded them of Madonna‘s 90′s hit “Express Yourself.” Turns out, Madonna was thinking the same thing!

Now that Madonna is prepping the release of her next album “M.D.N.A.” the Pop diva has finally weighed in on the controversy, and had some choice words for Lady Gaga in a new interview with ABC’s 20/20.

“I certainly think she references me a lot in her work. And sometimes I think it’s amusing and flattering and well done,” she said.

Madonna said sometimes Gaga’s work also appears to be a “statement about taking something that was in the Zeitgeist, you know, 20 years ago and turning it inside out and reinterpreting it.”

“There’s a lot of ways to look at it. I can’t really be annoyed by it …because, obviously, I’ve influenced her.” But the Material Girl became coy when the conversation turned to “Born This Way.” “When I heard it on the radio …I said that sounds very familiar,” Madonna said.

Asked if that felt annoying, Madonna responded, “It felt reductive.” Pressed as to whether that was a good or bad thing, Madonna told Cynthia McFadden to “look it up” before smiling slyly and taking a sip from her tea cup.

In other words, Madonna called Lady Gaga “basic.” (Damn … shots fired!)

Madonna also weighed in on the “Born This Way” vs. “Express Yourself” controversy in a recent interview with Newsweek:

“I thought, this is a wonderful way to redo my song,” she said. “I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was . . . interesting.”

Could you imagine Lady Gaga as a real mother……with real, live children?

The Pop star, who calls herself ‘Mother Monster,’ recently expressed her desire to have children in an interview with The Insider, however, she says don’t expect her to make any big pregnancy announcements anytime soon.

“Someday. A long, long day from now. Not soon. My baby will be my new record,” the ‘Marry the Night’ singer, who is currently believed to be dating Vampire Diaries star Taylor Kinney, said.

Gaga also talked about her dedication to her career, explaining, “I wake up in the morning with tears in my eyes and I write new songs and I think about the future. I was born to make music; I was born to see out my artistic visions.”

She also revealed that she plans on going on tour and releasing new music this year.

“I’m looking forward to putting out another album and going on tour,” she says. “I can’t wait to see the fans. I have a million ideas and I just feel very blessed to be an artist who gets to do what she loves.”

Lady Gaga was among the entertainers who lent their musical talents to help bring in the year 2012 in New York City’s Times Square.

After emerging from a huge, black glittery dress, the Pop star performed a medley of her latest album’s tracks including “Heavy Metal Lover,” “Marry the Night,” and the title track “Born This Way” for “ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.”

Following her performance set, Gaga put on a huge sparkly mask and changed into a silver gown, and helped Mayor Bloomberg count down to the big ball drop.

Wearing dark shades, high heels, fishnets and a leather jacket, singer Lady Gaga was spotted doing some shopping in France…..without pants. (Hey, that rhymes!)

French paparazzi snapped a couple of quick shots of the pants-less Pop star early Monday (Dec 26) as she made her way out of the Bruce Field store in Paris.

In related Gaga news, a former assistant to the Pop singer, who the Associated Press named their “Entertainer of the Year” last week, is suing her for nearly $400,000 on claims that she was her personal little slave:

Jennifer O’Neill says in her lawsuit … she worked for Gaga for 13 months, and is owed $380,000 in overtime. O’Neill says in her suit her job included “ensuring the promptness of a towel following a shower and serving as a personal alarm clock to keep [Gaga] on schedule.”

O’Neill claims she had to cater to Gaga in “stadiums, private jets, fine hotel suites, yachts, ferries, trains and tour buses.”

And, O’Neill says, she was required to be at Gaga’s beck and call at her “earliest waking hour.”

O’Neill is suing for the $380k — which represents 7,168 hours of overtime during the 13 months.

Gaga is not a defendant. O’Neill is suing Mermaid Touring Company, which Gaga uses for concerts and what not.

Gaga’s rep told the New York Post the suit is “completely without merit.”

Pop singer Lady Gaga has had one hell of a year, and now the Associated Press has topped it off by naming her their “Entertainer of the Year” for 2011.

Gaga beat out fellow artists Taylor Swift and Adele for the title, as well as other figures in pop culture, like the cast of “Harry Potter,” TV star Charlie Sheen and even late Apple founder Steve Jobs, who she reportedly beat by just 3 votes.

Over 135 ballots were submitted by news organizations that make up AP’s membership, who were asked to cast their votes on the person they believe had the most influence on entertainment and culture in the year 2011.

“I am humbled and honored to be named ‘Entertainer of The Year’ by The Associated Press,” Lady Gaga said in a statement Monday signed “Mother Monster.”

“My deepest gratitude to the broadcasters and journalists who’ve supported me over the years, and in turn, are now supporting the loves of my life: my fans. Thank you for believing in ‘Born This Way.’ May you continue to brave the dreams of Showbiz.”

Among the things voters considered when casting their votes for Gaga were her multi-platinum album “Born This Way” (released at the beginning of the year), her “Monster Ball” Tour, her Emmy Award winning HBO concert special, her “A Very Gaga Thanksgiving” TV special, which aired on ABC, and her collaborations with legends like Elton John, Cher and most recently Tony Bennett.

In addition to all of that, Gaga has also visited the White House, she performed for Bill Clinton‘s 65th birthday this year, and has over 17 million followers on Twitter.

“She gets people talking,” says Greg Retsinas, digital director of the Press Democrat of Santa Rosa, Calif. “She’s a polarizing figure not just in music and fashion but in pop culture and society. In a recent week, I heard her referenced personally by my 9-year-old daughter, a prominent local CFO and an airline pilot, all glowingly.”

Previous winners of the AP Entertainer of the Year include Betty White, Taylor Swift, Tina Fey and Stephen Colbert.

According to Forbes, the $90 million Gaga hauled in between the May 2010 and May 2011 from album sales, touring and endorsements earned her a top spot in their list of the highest earning female Pop singers.

The Queen Monster is music’s top-earning woman, thanks largely to her $1.3 million nightly gross on the road. No surprise that advertisers want a piece: endorsement deals include Polaroid, Virgin Mobile, Monster Cable and PlentyOfFish.com. [Forbes]

Other wealthy female singers on the list include Country-Pop singer Taylor Swift, who came in second with $45 million, Pop singer Katy Perry, who earned $44 million, putting her at number 3, and Beyonce ($35M) and Rihanna ($29M) at numbers and five respectively.

Rounding out the bottom half of the top 10 was Pink ($22M), Carrie Underwood ($20M), Celine Dion ($19M) and Britney Spears, who tied with R&B singer/songwriter Alicia Keys at $10 million.

Lady Gaga made headlines this week after the Pop star showed up at the International Emmys Monday night (Nov 21) in a long black dress designed by Stéphane Rolland Haute Couture in France that exposed her leg, upper thigh and her butt cheek.

But apparently … the dress wasn’t made that way!

A rep for the designer revealed that the asymmetrical gown came right off the catwalk, and was intended to be worn by a model much taller than Gaga. “The slit came way further up her waist than what our designers had in mind,” the rep told TMZ.

“We’re not mad that the dress ended up looking like that on Gaga … she does make it a little naughtier!” Stéphane Rolland joked.

Lady Gaga showed a lot of leg as she made a surprise appearance at the International Emmy Awards in New York Monday night (Nov 21) where she presented “American Idol” boss Nigel Lythgoe with an award.

After her hosting duties, the “Marry the Night” singer, sporting a long black dress with a huge split exposing her entire leg and thigh (and her unicorn tattoo), posed for photos with Lythgoe in the Press Room.

Even though we don’t feel like Gaga’s choice of attire was the most appropriate for the International Emmys, this outfit is pretty tame compared to some of her usual get-ups.

At least she didn’t show up in an egg or … or as a guy … or something even crazier!

Apparently, Lady Gaga pees in trash cans. And why does Lady Gaga pee in trash cans?

Because she doesn’t have time to pee in real toilets, duh!

No, really. Apparently it is sometimes a real hassle for her to use a real toilet once she’s put on one of her crazy costumes. So instead of going through the “trouble” of walking down the hall to use the toilet, Gaga conviently pops a squat over a nearby trashcan.

In a recent interview with TV personality Alan Carr, the strange Pop star said:

“I do quite often pee in the dressing room, in the trash can. It would have been an interesting photo today because I had a big pink bow on, and I was over the trash can. The bathroom is down the hall, and I was naked. It was just me, my bow and my nakedness. Me and my dustbin have a very important relationship.”

And that was your Lady Gaga time-saving tip of the day!

Lady Gaga and her creative director Laurieann Gibson have parted ways following a “bitter fight,” The Hollywood Reporter confirmed this week.

Gaga and Gibson had been working together since the beginning of Lady Gaga’s career, with Gibson having helped Gaga with her “Monster Ball” Tour and several music videos.

But recent reports suggested that the pair’s relationship began to falter earlier this year over their differing appearances regarding the production of Lady Gaga’s music videos for “Edge of Glory,” “You and I” and “Judas.”

A popular gossip site originally reported that the pair had a “bitter fight” over Gibson’s ego, which had apparently gotten out of control, and now it’s being confirmed that Gaga and Gibson will be going their separate ways.

Gibson’s No. 2, Richard Jackson, is now taking over choreographing duties for Gaga, as confirmed by a tweet from the pop star earlier this month.

“Warming up with my choreographer Richard Jackson, singing + pinning garments till the last moment. So excited for The Night, gonna Marry It,” she tweeted.

Lady Gaga, usually known for her highly unusual wardrobe, actually looked pretty normal as she greeted fans and photographers when she was spotted leaving her hotel in London over the weekend (Sat. Nov 12).

Dressed in a frilly bright pink blouse and a black skirt with a large belt, which she matched with black red-bottom Christian Louboutin heels, black leather gloves and cat-eye sunglasses, Gaga stepped out of her London hotel in a more classic and conservative look. (Something we are totally not used to!)

The 2011 MTV Europe Awards were held Sunday night (Nov 6) in Belfast, North Ireland.

The show, which was hosted by singer/actress Selena Gomez, is held annually to highlight European music, and also draws A-List stars from the United States. This year’s show featured appearances and performances from Gomez’s boyfriend Justin Bieber, Taio Cruz, David Guetta, Bruno Mars, Ludacris, LMFAO, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and more.

As far as the actual awards were concerned, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga picked up the most trophies, including best male and best female act. Gaga also won awards for best song and best video for her hit single “Born This Way,” while Bieber picked up the award for best Pop act.

Other awards went to Bruno Mars, Eminem, Katy Perry and British rock band Queen, who received the “Global Icon” lifetime achievement award.

Simon Cowell is setting the record straight after a tabloid article claiming that he had called Pop superstars Beyonce and Lady Gaga “boring” spread like wildfire on the web this week.

Reps for the “X Factor” judge told Radar Online: “This was completely misreported. It’s the complete opposite in fact. Simon is a massive fan of both and he always refers to them as amongst the artists he most admires. He thinks they are two of the most interesting, talented and relevant artists today.”

Simon Cowell himself had nothing but nice things to say about both superstars, telling Radar: “It’s like they’ve all been bred to take over the world and dominate everything in entertainment. They are unbelievable, these girls.”

About Beyonce, he said, she’s “the biggest star we’ve seen in 20 years; we’re seeing sort of the rise of the super female pop star. It’s like a different breed. Beyoncé has that.”

As for Gaga, Cowell said he thinks she “has the X Factor. She’s smart … [and] has real ambition. She is a total, utter star … You have to be open and embrace this level of expression. You hope to God that you can find someone like her.”

About Gaga, he continued, “I think somebody like Lady Gaga defines exactly what we’re looking for. She’s both talented and interesting. She’s worked it all out for herself. You never get the feeling somebody is controlling her.”

Ever wondered what it’d be like being related to one of the biggest stars on the planet? Well Lady Gaga’s little sister dished all in her recent interview with Teen Vogue.

Natali Germanotta, a New York fashion design student, told the fashion magazine how she gets away with wearing some of her own outlandish outfits.

“Whenever I wear something crazy and my dad gives me a hard time, I say, ‘Well, at least I’m not walking out on the street with red pasties,’ and he’ll be like, ‘Good point,’ ” she said.

No stranger to the Manhattan private school herself, as she previously studied there, at her sister’s 2010 graduation the “Judas” singer turned up donning the now infamous beekeepers head piece which left school staff gobsmacked. “The teachers were like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t handle this family,’” Natali told Vogue.

In her sister’s defense, Natali confirmed that it was her that encouraged her Pop star sibling to go all out. “She asked me, ‘Should I dress really conservative and look not like myself, or should I do it over-the-top and freak everybody out?’ And I was like, “The latter, definitely the latter.’ ”

As we mentoined, Natali is a fashion design student, but even so, she has no intentions on working with her eccentric Pop star sister. “She changes 50 times a day,” Natali unenthusiastically said when asked if she would style her sibling.

Pop singer Lady Gaga teamed up with music legend Tony Bennett to record their own version of the 1937 show tune by Rodger and Hart “The Lady is a Tramp.”

The song is set to appear on Bennet’s upcoming “Duets II” album, which also features a final recording from late singer Amy Winehouse, along with additional features from Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Queen Latifah, Carrie Underwood, John Mayer, Faith Hill and others.

Lady Gaga was spotted in this all-red get up (and ANOTHER pair of sky-high heels) while out and about in New York City’s Meatpacking District Monday night (Sep 12).

The “You and I” singer was on the set for a new photoshoot (by Annie Leibovitz) for an upcoming issue of Vanity Fair Magagazine.

Former music executive Steve Stoute is touting a new book entitled “The Tanning of America: How the Culture of Hip-Hop Rewrote the Rules of the New Economy.” And to coincide the book’s release, Stoute — who is best known for linking the music industry with corporate America — is hosting a new video series with AOL HuffPo called “The Tanning Effect.”

Making a name for himself in the music and business industries, Steve Stoute has been able to provide some of today’s biggest stars with high profile endorsement deals and business ventures, like Justin Timberlake‘s McDonald’s deal, LeBron James‘ deal with State Farm, Jay-Z‘s exclusive Reebok line and even Lady Gaga‘s partnership with MAC Cosmetics.

In his “Tanning Effect” series, Stoute will sit down and talk about race, business and pop culture with superstars like Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams, Lady Gaga and Interscope exec. Jimmy Iovine.

After Madonna was recently quoted as saying, “As for Lady Gaga, I have no comment to make about her obsessions having to do with me because I don’t know whether her behavior is rooted in something deep and meaningful, or superficial” … Gaga fans — affectionately known as “Little Monsters” — naturally went on the defensive, claiming that the 53-year-old Pop Queen was simply being bitter.

But that’s not the case! Or at least that’s what Madonna’s people are saying.

“She didn’t diss Gaga,” Madonna’s rep Liz Rosenberg tells Us Weekly.

She didn’t? Because that clearly sounded like a “diss” to us, like when someone prefaces an insult with “no offense, but…” or “with all due respect…”

Just because you (or your people) say you’re not insulting a person, doesn’t mean you’re not insulting them.

We don’t believe you Madonna … you need more people!

Lady Gaga is a huge Madonna fan … but Madonna doesn’t see it that way. She believes that Pop’s newest queen is “obsessed” with her!

When asked by a French newspaper what she thinks about Lady Gaga being one of her biggest fans, Madonna sharply replied:

“As for Lady Gaga, I have no comment on her obsessions related to me, because I do not know if it is based on something profound or superficial.”

Ouch!

In the past, Gaga has been pretty outspoken regarding her admiration for Madonna. She even gushed to talk show host Jay Leno: “There is really no one that is a more adoring and loving Madonna fan than me. I am the hugest fan personally and professionally.”

But based on Madonna’s latest comments, we guess the feeling is far from mutual.

She is well-known for her crazy and outlandish styles, but this time around, Lady Gaga is going for a much more toned down (and make-up free) look on the cover of the October 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar Magazine.

“Whether I’m wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I’m always the same person inside,” said the singer, adding that she likes to wear her birthday suit more than she likes wearing crazy costumes.

“I’m very free-spirited,” she says. “Even when I was a kid, I used to run around naked with the babysitter, driving her crazy.”

Vanity Fair has just released its annual “Influential Business People” list and we have the scoop on who made the top spot.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg took the #1 spot (for the second year in the row), while influential Pop diva Lady Gaga came in at #9. At age 27 and 25 respectively, both are two of the youngest entrepreneurs to make the list.

What some would say are Zuckerberg’s cyber nemeses, co-founders of Google Sergey Brin and Larry Page came in at the #2 spot and Amazon head-honcho Jeff Bezos grabbed the #3 spot, which was occupied by the aforementioned Google CEOs last year.

According to VanityFair.com, there are 14 billionaires on the list, including Zuckerberg, Brin, Page and Bezos, as well as Mark Pincus (Zynga), J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter), Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn), Peter Thiel (Paypal) and more.

Also making the list was filmmaker Tyler Perry who came in at #44, music mogul Jay Z who came in at #21 and new “Two and a Half Men” front-man Ashton Kutcher who came in at #43. Justin Timberlake ended the list of 50 influential business people in the last spot.

The 2011 MTV VMAs went down last night in L.A. and boasted appearances and performances from several A-List celebrities/entertainers, including Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and more.

As far as the winners were concerned, Katy Perry took home the evening’s top prize: “Video of the Year” for her “Firework” clip, while other stars also took home awards, like Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears and Adele (who won 3 moon men).

Last night, MTV took a few minutes to pay tribute to one of Pop music’s greatest performers: Britney Spears!

Introduced by Lady Gaga — er, we we mean Jo Calderone — a group of young girls, dressed in Britney’s various iconic outfits, danced up a storm to a mash-up of Britney’s hit singles, including “Baby One More Time,” “Oops I Did It Again,” “Slave 4 U,” “Toxic,” “Hold It Against Me” and “Til the World Ends.”

Immediately after the tribute performance, Jo presented Britney with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and tried to seal it with a kiss, but Britney wasn’t having it. “I’ve done that already,” Britney quipped. “I don’t want Gaga to get pissed,” Jo said after Britney turned down his advance.

Dressed and styled as her male alter-ego Jo Calderone, Lady Gaga opened the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards with a very strange rendition of her latest single “You and I.”

But before sitting down at her piano to play the tune, Lady Gaga — excuse us, we mean Jo Calderone — emerged on the dark, empty stage wearing a black suit and dingy white T-shirt with slick black hair and a lit cigarette she continued to puff on as she ranted on during a nearly 4-minute opening monologue.

After playing the more jazzy version of “You and I,” the Pop star was joined by a slew of male back-up singers who danced along to the uptempo version of the song currently playing on the radio now.

Lady Gaga stepped out in this all red ensemble Friday night (Aug 26) as she arrived on the red carpet of the Atom Factory’s pre-VMA dinner, of which she hosted.

The event, sponsored by Ciroc Vodka and Streamline Records, also featured appearances from R&B singer Mary J. Blige, producer Dallas Austin, rapper Nas and singer Nicole Scherzinger.

In a completely UN-shocking turn of events, a set of nude Lady Gaga pics have leaked to the web!!!

Apparently they’re from a “test photoshoot” (or something like that) for a past issue of Vogue Hommes Japan (where Lady G unveiled her male alter-ego Jo Calderone).

In some of the pics, a messy-looking, tied up, completely naked Lady Gaga — with heels on of course — can be seen puffing on a cigarette and putting her p-p-p-poker face all up in the camera lens.

We guess Vogue Japan decided against using this “bondage-themed” photo shoot for whatever reason, but somehow the Polaroids leaked. And here they are!

You know you’re somewhat of an icon when classic cult animated show The Simpsons comes a-knocking at your door … and Lady Gaga answered!

In fact, the “Judas” singer has already recorded her guest spot on the show in a special episode called “Lisa Goes Gaga.”

According to EW, in the episode, Lady Gaga’s character makes a pit stop in Springfield upon learning that it’s the place to go if you have low self esteem, and winds up trying to cheer up Lisa through the power of speech, song, and a flash mob.

There’s also a scene where she kisses Marge! “I play a little bit of a slut,” Gaga says of her role. “The apple doesn’t fall far from my artistic tree.”

So how did 25 year old Gaga feel when getting ready for her role? “I make music, but I don’t do voice-overs every day of the week, and their characters are so awesomely convincing and sincere and wild and funny, I had to remind myself constantly of the sincerity of the humor. That’s what I was trying to focus on, not putting on a character too much and really being as sincere as I could with the lines.”

Creator Matt Groening said of the whole Lady Gaga process, “Since the very beginning, I’ve always wanted to have on the most iconic personalities of our time, and she’s it. It’s very hard to top reality with her, but I’m sure we’ll come up with something that is going to be as improbable as her usual wardrobe.”

Executive producer Al Jean continued, “For the first time in the history of The Simpsons, we are honored to have on a show business legend who is younger than our show.”

Out of the many highs in her short career the “Born This Way” singer says of her Simpson experience, “I would say this is one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. My dad’s probably going to do 80 backflips when the episode comes out.”

The episode, titled “Lisa Goes Gaga,” will air in the Spring of 2012 as a part of The Simpsons’ 23rd season, which premieres on September 25th.

“The [video is about the] idea that when you’re away from someone you love, it’s torture,” Gaga told an Omaha radio station last month. “I knew I wanted the video to be about me sprinting back and walking hundreds of thousands of miles to get him back.”

“You and I,” the latest cut from  was reportedly written about her on-and-off boyfriend Luc Carl, who also helped inspire the video’s location and story line.

“It was so sweet, and I looked out and it’s so beautiful, that tall corn. … Then all of a sudden you start to see these monsters pop up,” she said of Nebraska. “I love this place so much, and it really comes from a genuine place. The person who I wrote this song about has been my buddy and my best friend since I was 19 years old, and he’s from here.”

That’s right! Lady Gaga was spotted out and about in Los Angeles last week with none of her outlandish costumes in tow.

Sporting a black dress with a purple & yellow pattern, large black square sunglasses and with Christian Louboutins, “The Born This Way” singer was snapped leaving a recording studio on Thursday night (Aug 11) after recording some new material. The singer was also seen exiting the La Maison De Fashion restaurant later in the vening.

In the newly released cover artwork for her “Born This Way” album’s fourth single “You and I,” pop singer Lady Gaga has re-introduced her male alter ego Jo Calderone.

Calderone was first introduced by Mother Monster when she was styled last year for a photo shoot for the September 2010 issue of Vogue Japan. Stylist Nicola Formichetti helped debut the alter ego on the two part cover and posted an interview with “him” where he revealed what “his” relationship is with Gaga.

“I met her at a shoot Nick Knight was doing. She’s f*ckin beautiful, and funny, and interesting. I was a little nervous for Nick to start shooting. She said, ‘Don’t be baby, you were ‘born this way.’ I took her out after. The rest is private ;)” he disclosed.

Lady Gaga looked (almost) normal as she made her way through Sydney airport Wednesday morning (Jul 13) after performing the night before for her one and only show down under.

Gaga’s YouTube account was suspended earlier today due to “multiple or severe violations” of the site’s copyright policy. According to reports, the account was shut down because it featured footage from Gaga’s recent performance on a foreign TV show called “Smap x Smap.”

Team Gaga has since removed the video and her account has been re-instated.

Lady Gaga made a random appearance last night (Mon. Jul 11) at Club Nevermind in Sydney, Australia.

The singer, who is in Sydney for a one-off performance at the Sydney Town Hall later this week, teased her Twitter followers earlier in the day by hinting at her appearance at the popular Australian gay club.

Gaga is also set to perform alongside Coldplay, Nicki Minaj, Jennfer Lopez, Alicia Keys and many others this fall at the I Heart Festival in Las Vegas. Check out a dozen or so pics of her performing in Sydney last night below:

Earlier today (Mon. Jul 11), Mother Monster was spotted outside a nightclub in Sydney wearing a white dress and a white burka covering her face (and her green hair).

And just yesterday, paps in Sydney photographed Lady G dressed up in a see-through police officer outfit as she made her rounds in the city. (Earlier in the day she was seen stepping out of her hotel looking semi-normal in an all-black get-up.)

Lady Gaga, dressed like a futuristic Cruella de Vil, made a grand entrance into Sydney, Australia early yesterday (Sat. Jul 9) via a private jet just days ahead of an upcoming concert in the Land Down Under. The Pop star looked to be very happy as she smiled and waved at photographers and fans on the way to her car.

Rolling Stone Magazine has crowned its “Queen of Pop!”

Lady Gaga blew the likes of Rihanna, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Shakira, Pink and Ke$ha out of the water and took the crown.

According to Digital Spy:

The magazine ranked 16 female artists who had released solo albums between 2009 and 2011 by various categories. These included album and digital song sales, Billboard Hot 100 rankings, radio airplay, views on YouTube, social media, revenue from live shows, award wins and reviews from critics. GaGa scored 1,205 points in the overall Master Ranking, beating Taylor Swift into second place with 881. Rihanna came third with 833 points, Britney Spears fourth with 674 and Beyoncé fifth with 668.

“No matter how we cut the numbers, GaGa was bound to crush the competition,” says Rolling Stone. “Our goal here was to crown the current tiara-wearer. The hard-working, culture-dominating GaGa more than earned the title. Maybe a year from now, after Beyoncé’s new album 4 has spun off a year of radio, digital and video hits, Lady G and Honey B will be more evenly matched, tugging on either end of the Queen of Pop sceptre like the demigods they are.”

Lady Gaga is being accused of “stealing” a portion of the proceeds from sales of the “We Pray For Japan” wristbands she co-signed.

1-800-LAW-FIRM — a Michigan based law firm — have filed a class action lawsuit citing that Gaga pocketed a fraction of the profits, which paying consumers assumed were going directly to Japan.

Attorney Ari Kresch told Radar Online: “I’m suing Lady Gaga simply to hold her accountable for giving the money that she was raising for charity to the cause that she was trying to raise it for.”

Gaga sold the wristbands for $5 for the wristbands, then charged another $3.99 for shipping and handling and an additional $0.60 for taxes. But the law firm claims she inflated the costs and pocketed the extra cash, refusing to reveal how much of the $5 actually goes to the Japanese victims.

The law firm’s automated phone message says that they have “uncovered evidence” that not all of the proceeds were donated to relief efforts and Gaga’s initial statements regarding the charity bracelets were “false.” The message also urges people who have purchased one more bracelets to join the lawsuit.

Photogs caught Lady Gaga signing autographs for fans as she was leaving a popular Japanese restaurant while out in Tokyo Wednesday night (Jun 22). Gaga was in Japan to perform at the 2011 MTV Japan Music Awards, held the very next day.

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick were spotted out together Wednesday in Los Angeles getting back into their convertible Ferrari after spending the afternoon together. Earlier in the day, Kourtney and Scott went out for lunch at Il Pastaio Restaurant before heading to Neiman Marcus for a little shopping.

And Ciara, rocking a figure-hugging horizontally striped dress, was seen out and about in Beverly Hills running errands Wednesday afternoon.

Drake made a surprise appearance last night (Sun. Jun 19) as he and Justin Bieber accepted an award together at the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada. The hometown heroes both tied for “Video of the Year by a Canadian” award for Drake’s “Find Your Love” and Justin’s “Somebody to Love (Remix).”

Lady Gaga was the big winner of the night, taking home two awards: one for “International Video of the Year” for “Judas” and the other for the UR FAVE International Video for “Born This Way.” Other winners included Far East Movement and Fefe Dobson. Justin Bieber also took home a UR FAVE award, giving him 2 wins for the evening.

The 2011 MMVAs also featured appearances and/or performances from Selena Gomez (who co-hosted the show alongside actor Colin Farrell), Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Snoop Dogg, Fefe Dobson, Avril Lavigne, Shay Mitchell (from “Pretty Little Liars”), and others.
