Last week, Kevin Hart was formally charged with DUI after a previous incident in which the actor/comedian allegedly drove drunk and nearly crashed into a gas tanker truck.

TMZ reported that Hart was busted a couple of weeks ago when California Highway Patrol officers spotted him driving erratically and over going 90 mph on a Los Angeles freeway, with him at one point almost slamming into a gas tanker truck.

Kevin Hart Calls DUI Arrest a “Wake-Up Call”

In a quick interview with a TMZ photographer as he was leaving jail, Hart said he passed the sobriety test, but failed the breathalyzer. Sources now tell the gossip site that Hart blew a .15 — nearly twice the legal limit of .08.

Hart has since been charged with two misdemeanor counts of DUI, and if convicted, he could face up to a year in prison.

But since this is Kevin’s first offense — and he’s a celebrity (and lets’ remember, this is the L.A. County legal system we’re talking about here) — it’s more than likely that he will walk away with a simple fine and some community service … if that.

Kevin Hart may be a jokester, and he’s known to not take his life too seriously, but when it comes to his recent DUI arrest, the actor/comedian is letting everyone know that this is no laughing matter.

Hart was arrested early Sunday by Los Angeles traffic police on “suspicion” of drunk driving after they observed him in his black Mercedes weaving across traffic lanes and almost running into a gas tanker truck as he sped down a freeway at 90 mph.

The California Highway Patrol said in a statement that Kevin “had objective signs of intoxication and was unable to perform the field sobriety tests.” Hart was then taken to jail, where he was booked for misdemeanor DUI. He posted bail and was released the next morning after sobering up.

On his way out of jail, Kevin admitted to TMZ cameras that he was indeed drunk, and said that he told the officers who arrested him the same thing the night before. Watch here:

Chris Rock is reportedly joining the “Real Husbands of Hollywood” … following news that Robin Thicke is leaving the show to focus on his music.

“I just watched the show and it seemed like they were having so much fun and I was like I want to have fun,” Rock told Hip Hollywood. “I’m a fan of Kevin … it’s rare when you actually get to work with each other and have fun.”

This won’t be the first time Rock has worked with Kevin Hart, the creator of “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” as Rock recently shared the stage with Hart, Dave Chappelle, Bill Bellamy and Marlon Wayans, sparking tour rumors.

“That’s a mentor and a friend to me … to have him just accept an invitation is huge to me,” Hart said.

It was initially reported that Robin Thicke and Kevin Hart had a falling out, which is why he left the show. But Kevin has made it clear that there is no bad blood between him and the R&B crooner.

“Within this season, his schedule and what he was doing didn’t coincide with the show, so he opted to go and do his music,” Hart said about Thicke leaving the show. “Hopefully at some point in time, we can have Robin come back and do some stuff, but for this particular period he went to go and do better things for him.”

Kevin Hart’s “Rel Husbands” airs Tuesday nights on BET and has just been renewed with the network ordering 10 episodes for season two. The show also stars Nick Cannon, JB Smoove, Robin Thicke, Boris Kodjoe and Duane Martin.

Comedian Kevin Hart hosted “Saturday Night Live” this weekend and the episode, like many that have debut in recent years, has been met with mixed reviews.

Entertainment Weekly concluded that the episode was “heartless” despite the fact that the show’s cold open was promising. All the more disappointing is that Hart is a comedian and was therefore accustomed to performing in front of a live audience. This alone should have prevented the show from flat-lining but didn’t.

The Huffington Post classified the episode as “the definition of mediocre” but skits like “Z-Shirt” and “The Walking Dead” spoof received high marks.

Highly panned skits include “New Pope,” in which “Beats of the Southern Wild” star Quvenzhané Wallis becomes the new pope (Yes…it’s as awful as it sounds), and a mock “Steve Harvey” show segment.

The episode also drew criticism for recycling a sketch called “McDonald’s Firing” that appeared in the Anne Hathaway-hosted show. “Barnes & Noble Firing” may serve as proof the recurring skit will have a limited run.

The New York Post called the show “high-energy but inconsistent.”

While Hart did his best, much of the wiring wasn’t up to snuff. Though Hart did have some tough talent to contend with.

So far, the season has included Oscar worthy hosts like Jennifer Lawrence and Christoph Waltz as well as cultural icons like Seth MacFarlane. And based on popular opinion, it seems that Waltz is many viewers’ favorite guest so far.

We’re sure a little skit called “Djesus Uncrossed” had a little something to do with that.

If Saturday’ show wasn’t your cup of tea, next week marks the return of one of the best hosts the sketch comedy series has had … Justin Timberlake!

Kevin Hart is a damn fool for this! After attempting a career as the rapper “Chocolate Drop,” Hart has now switched gears and is now trying to be an R&B singer named HartFelt, armed with his debut single “Frost Without You.”

The hilarious song and its accompanying music video premiered Tuesday night (Feb 19) on BET’s “Real Husbands of Hollywood.” Ever since the first episode of the show, Kevin has been trying to get at Robin Thicke’s wife Paula Patton to no avail, and the pint-sized comedian has this one-sided beef with Thicke because of it.

Using the hypnotizing power of auto-tune, HartFelt’s “Frost Without You” — a parody of Thicke’s “Lost With Out You” — is basically a tribute to Paula and one of Hart’s many attempts to get her to leave Robin for him.

Kevin Hart is in love with Rihanna and he ain’t afraid to show it. The successful comedian let his Navy flag fly high when he posted a video of himself getting down to Rihanna’s “Pour It Up,” a track from her #1 album “Unapologetic.”

To be honest, Kevin’s dance moves were a bit … off. He did a lot of stomping, like he was trying to kill some pesky roaches in a dimly lit apartment in the Bronx. And all of that giddy-up cowboy lassoing was more “Gangnam Style” than twerk.

The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards are set to air live from Los Angeles TONIGHT … and MTV officially announced this week that Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz will be gracing the stage along with previously announced performers Rihanna, Frank Ocean, Taylor Swift, Green Day, Pink, One Direction and Alicia Keys.

According to reports, Nicki’s performance will include a “secret guest,” while her Young Money boss Lil Wayne will be performing his new single “No Worries” — the second single from his upcoming album “I Am Not A Human Being II.”

Rihanna will reportedly open the show with a performance medley of her new single “Cockiness (Love It)” featuring A$AP Rocky and “We Found Love” featuring Calvin Harris.

The 2012 VMAs — hosted by Kevin Hart — airs on MTV tonight (Thu Sep 6) at 8 pm ET.

The line-up of performers for the upcoming 2012 MTV Video Music Awards just got a little hotter.

MTV News confirmed Monday (Aug 27) that five-time VMA nominee Rihanna will be hitting the VMA stage in September, along with R&B newcomer Frank Ocean, which marks the latter’s very first awards show performance.

Previously announced performers for the 2012 VMAs include Taylor Swift, Green Day, Pink, One Direction, and Alicia Keys.

Additionally, 2 Chainz, Ke$ha, The Wanted, Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg are among the new confirmed presenters for the show, joining previously announced presenters Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, Miley Cyrus and the “Fierce Five” — the U.S. Women’s Olympics Gymnastics Team that won the team gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.

The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards — hosted by comedian Kevin Hart — will air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on September 6th at 8 pm EST.

Trey Songz teams up with Young Jeezy & Lil Wayne (and funnyman Kevin Hart) in the video for his new single “Hail Mary,” which is a song full of sexual innuendos about “scoring,” “going long” and “puttin that d on ‘em.”

The video features two teams of female lingerie football players — Team Songz & Team Heart — wearing skimpy uniforms as they battle it out on the field.

Joseline and Stevie J from “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” also make random, unexpected appearances at the end of the video, which was directed by Trey Songz himself.

“Hail Mary” appears on Trey’s new album “Chapter V,” which is in stores now.

This has to be a sign of good things to come.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, one of the most buzzed about couples in Hip-Hop right now, aside from Jay-Z and Beyonce, made a cameo appearance in a promo for MTV’s 2012 Video Music Awards, alongside host Kevin Hart.

Prior to hooking up with Kim, Kanye had pretty much gone into hiding and media seclusion, vowing to never sit in the audience of an awards show again.

Well, that changed earlier this year at the BET Awards when Kanye and Kim sat front row with Jay and Bey. And if Ye’s cooperation with MTV for this VMAs promo is anything to go by, we can expect to see Kim and Kanye front row and center again at the MTV VMAs as well.

MTV had just better make sure they do two things: 1.) Equip Kanye’s seat with a seat belt that producers can control via remote, and 2.) Seat Kim and Kanye far, far away from cry baby Taylor Swift.

But anyway, back to the promo.

The 30-second bit features Kevin Hart getting ready for his VMA night out. He then calls out to Kim and Kanye to coordinate outfits so that they can all match.

The two love birds are relaxing on the bed, completely clueless as to what Kevin is talking about.

Then, Kevin excitedly proposes the trio come up with a name, so he proposes KevYeKim, YeKevKim or perhaps…KKK! Yeah, that’ll do.

Hilariously, upon hearing KKK, Kevin asks Kim if she has a white hoodie, to which Kanye turns and asks, “Do you?”

Kanye and Kim are playing out the minefields of interracial dating for our entertainment. Gotta love it!

R&B singer Monica played host to a HUGE party at Club Liv in Miami on the night of Mother’s Day (Sun May 13) that was attended by several of her music industry friends.

Among the big names spotted in the club were Ludacris, Diddy, Trina and Monica’s hubby Shannon Brown of the Phoenix Suns.

R&B singer Ray J allegedly punched rapper Fabolous in the face at the Palms Hotel for talking smack on Twitter.

Comedian Kevin Hart also poked fun at Ray J over his “One Wish” performance.

Well, Ray J obviously didn’t find any of this the least bit entertaining, so he called in to Power 105.1′s The Breakfast Club this morning to express his ANGER over the incident.

The 2011 MTV VMAs went down last night in L.A. and boasted appearances and performances from several A-List celebrities/entertainers, including Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and more.

The 9th Annual Ford Hoodie Awards went down over the weekend (Sat. Aug 13) at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Hosted by Steve Harvey, the 2011 Hoodie Awards featured appearances from R&B singer Letoya Luckett, actor/BET personality Terrence J, actor/comedian Kevin Hart, gospel singers Tye Tribbett, Marvin Sapp, & Kirk Franklin, actresses Tisha Campbell-Martin & Tichina Arnold, and many more. The 90-city tour has been dubbed one of the most successful comedy concerts in history, and now Hartbeat Productions and Codeblack Entertainment have announced that a full-length feature film, also titled “Laugh at My Pain,” is due to hit theaters on September 9th.

The movie documents a raw and uncut version Hart’s 2-day performance at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, as well as backstage footage and more.

Viewers will also be taken on a trip back to Philadelphia, where Kevin Hart began his journey to become one of the funniest and most successful comedians of all time.

The 2011 BET Awards aired live from Los Angeles Sunday night (Jun 26) … and the best part of the entire show (in our opinion) was host Kevin Hart‘s extra funny “Real Husbands of Hollywood” comedy sketch!

The multi-part sketch, which along with Hart, also starred Bobby Brown, Nelly, Jermaine Dupri, Nick Cannon and Anthony Anderson parodied Bravo’s “Real Housewives” as well as VH1′s “Basketball Wives,” making fun of the some of the most hilarious moments on the reality shows.

The song comes from T-Pain’s upcoming studio album “RevolveR,” which features appearances from Lil Wayne, Drake and Chris Brown, and is expected to come out later this year.

Kevin Hart doesn’t have any hard feelings for his ex-wife Torrei. The comedian/actor called up Power 105.1′s The Breakfast Club this morning and spoke on everything from them splitting up to the YouTube video of her blasting him during a live comedy show.

Peep what he said below:

“That’s actually from when we first split up. People don’t understand: I’ve been separated for almost a year and a half now. But now the media is getting hold of it because the [divorce] filing is going through. But when I first decided to leave, she decided to get on stage. No matter what, that’s the mother of my kids, I gotta love her for that. So regardless of what she displays, whether it’s anger or not, I’m not gonna bash the woman. I want the best for her because I gotta be in her life for the next 18 years. So, at the time she was coming from a hurt place, that’s where that came from. She’s a different person now. It was sad that they put that out there because it hurt her. Now, we cool. It’s a divorce, but it’s not an angry one.”

Kevin Hart may be going through a nasty divorce right now…but that doesn’t mean the jokes have stopped coming!

The comedian stopped by “Lopez Tonight” earlier this week and spoke on everything from the model who’s hair caught on fire at Diddy’s Last Train to Paris party to his daughter getting all E’s and G’s on her report card. He even recalled an incident where he got beat up by a girl cousin named “Kimberly.” Funny stuff!!

Kevin Hart and his wife of nearly 8 years are calling it quits!!

The actor/comedian has formally filed for divorce from his wife Torrei after legally separating on February 5th 2010, according to court documents filed in California. Kevin and Torrei have two children together, 5-year-old daughter Heavenly and their 3-year-old son Hendricks.

Hart, who is seeking joint custody of the children, cites irreconcilable differences for the split, and is asking the court not to give ANY spousal support to Torrei. He is also requesting that Torrei not be allowed to leave the state of California without either a court order or his permission. (Wow!)

We don’t know what happened between these two, but this sounds messy as hell!
