Katie Holmes and her always adorable daughter Suri Cruise were spotted in New York City yesterday (Thur. Nov 10) while on the way to a taping of “The Late Show with David Letterman.”

As the pair greeted the awaiting photogs, Suri hammed it up for the cameras, making funny faces that even had her famous mom giggling.

The mommy-daughter duo are in New York City while Katie is doing press for “Jack and Jill,” her new movie with Adam Sandler.

No one says “goodbye” like Oprah!

A bunch of the media mogul’s most famous friends, including Beyonce, Stevie Wonder, Jamie Foxx, Alicia Keys and many more packed into the United Center in Chicago for “Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular,” a star-studded send-off for the legendary talk show host.

Beyonce kicked off the festivities with a performance of her new single “Run the World (Girls),” which was followed by a poem recital from Maya Angelou (accompanied by Alicia Keys on the piano), a performance from music legend Aretha Franklin, an appearance from Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, a performance from Usher and more. The event also featured appearances form many other celebrities, including Tyler Perry, Tom Hanks, Maria Shriver (Arnold Schwarzenegger’s estranged wife), Simon Cowell, Patti Labelle, Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes and tons more.

“Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular” will air on television today (May 23) and tomorrow (May 24).

Katie Holmes one … Star Magazine zero!

Mrs. Tom Cruise has settled her lawsuit with America Media Inc. (publishers of Star Magazine) after the tabloid published a story that insinuated the actress was a drug addict. The corporation has issued an apologetic statement, which said that they “did not intend to suggest that Ms. Holmes was a drug addict or was undergoing treatment for drug addiction.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter:

Though the monetary terms of the settlement are confidential, American Media said it is making “a substantial donation” on Holmes’ behalf to Dizzy Feet Foundation, a non-profit charity that helps underprivileged youngsters realize their dreams of becoming professional dancers and to support, improve and increase access to dance education in the United States.

In a statement Katie said, “I’m pleased that this lawsuit could be resolved amicably and accept American Media’s apology. With this dispute out of the way, I look forward to once again focusing my attention on my family and career.”

The wife of Hollywood icon Tom Cruise just filed a massive $50 million libel lawsuit against American Media Inc., the publishers of “Star” magazine, after the recent release of a  cover which insinuated Holmes to be a drug addict.

The rather disturbing headline read, “ADDICTION NIGHTMARE – Katie DRUG SHOCKER! – The Real Reason She Can’t Leave Tom”, which is in stark contrast to the actual article that does NOT allege any drug use by Katie.

Sources allege that Katie feels the suggestive cover is deliberately defamatory and is libelous on its own.

Holmes’ lawsuit states,

“[Katie] has no intention of leaving her husband, and is not prevented from doing so by any drug addiction.”

Katie’s attorney went on to tell TMZ:

“Star Magazine’s malicious claims about Katie are untrue, unethical and unlawful.  Not only do they cruelly defame Katie, they play a cheap trick on the public, making ridiculously false claims on the cover unsupported by anything inside. Someone should bring a class action to get all buyers their money back.”

That’s right Katie! You show those lying bastards who’s boss!

On Tuesday (Jan 11) Katie Holmes was on set of her new film Jack and Jill with her inseparable daughter Suri Cruise.

There was a petting zoo set up for filming and Katie took the time out to take her daughter to play with the animals, although it seems to us she wasn’t having it. The 32-year-old actress was suddenly scared however, when an unruly bunny rabbit abruptly hopped out of her arms. Still, Katie managed to giggle at the situation and went on to pet some of the other animals hangin’ around.

Tom Cruise‘s boo Katie Holmes was spotted on the set of her new movie at The Grove in Hollywood on Monday (Dec 13).

Daughter Suri was in Mommy’s trailer in some PJs waiting for her to be done doing her takes. The comedy film, titled “Jack and Jill“ will also star Al Pacino and Adam Sandler. The movie hits theaters sometime in 2011.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes may need to set up a meeting with Kate Gosselin!

According to a report from Sun Magazine, the couple’s 4-year-old daughter Suri is growing up to be a regular pain in the a**.

“Whether it’s a priceless diamond tiara or cupcakes at midnight, spoiled Suri’s wish is her overworked staff’s command. She’s a champion tantrum thrower, and neither her mom and dad at home nor the cast and crew on Katie’s movie can deny her. She can be as sweet and charming as all get-out, but look out if she doesn’t get what she wants. Everyone working on the movie thought it was cute when Suri began telling people to ’shush’ as cameras rolled. But once she got a little more comfortable, she took charge. She was soon demanding cookies from crew members — and if she wasn’t granted her request right away, she’d throw a fit,” A close source told the mag.

“She loves shopping and has already developed an eye for picking out clothes for Tom and Katie. Money is no object to her parents, and they literally buy her whatever she wants. They’ve been known to spend $50,000 in one month on clothes and toys for her, and they allow their personal chefs and household staff to indulge Suri’s cravings. She knows how to mind her manners, but she’s learned that she can manipulate people a lot easier if she plays the pestering princess. Right now her diva act is cute, but it won’t be before too much longer.”

Sounds like Suri Cruise is a spoiled brat to us! Tom and Katie better nip this ish in the bud before she ends up like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and all he rest those other party animal, drug addicted rich kids.

Actress Katie Holmes isn’t ready for another baby on board!

In the October 2010 issue of Marie Claire, Katie revealed that she and hubby Tom Cruise only want to focus on their only child Surie at the moment…and aren’t planning on having more kids any time soon.

“Maybe in a couple of years, but right now I want to make sure I’m really there for Suri. I’m the youngest in my family —- my closest sister is five years older than me, and the next one is nine years ahead of me, so I was a bit of an only child, and I liked it! I liked having all of my mom’s attention, and sometimes I think I still do.”

Holmes also talked about how she balances Suri and a demanding schedule.

“We travel a lot, and so for me, it’s keeping a daily schedule for Suri that never changes. We wake up and we do the same thing. She does her chores. If she doesn’t get her chores done, I notice she’s not really herself. She has to make her bed, she has to take her dishes to the sink, she has to put her clothes in the laundry — you know, that basic stuff.”

Award winning actress Cameron Diaz is the latest Hollywood celebrity to receive her very own star on the world-famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony was held Monday (Jun 22) in Hollywood, CA in front of the Egyption Theater and her friends Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Lucy Liu all came through to show their support. Her new movie, “My Sister’s Keeper,” hits theaters this Friday (Jun 26).

Diaz, the 2,386th star to be so honored on the sidewalk, which runs along Hollywood Blvd. and Vine St., dedicated the star to her mother and father. Her father, Emilio Diaz, passed away in April 2008, but her mother Billie and her older sister Chimene attended the ceremony.

“I dedicate this star to the eternal love that my mom and dad shared. It was what has given me the strength and courage to live this extraordinary life, and it was that powers the light that burns inside of me, bright enough for me to be honored today with this star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
