Katherine and “Money Hungry” Joe Jackson couldn’t be more satisfied with Dr. Conrad Murray’s conviction for the death of their superstar son.

Michael Jackson‘s parents released a statement saying they feel like justice has finally been served yesterday after the verdict was announced.

“We have been waiting for this moment for a very long time and we couldn’t hold back tears of joy in the courtroom.  Even though nothing can bring back our son, justice has finally been served! We can’t wait to go home and share this day with Michael’s children.”

It’s good to know the Jackson family can finally get closure from all of this…

The mother of the late great Michael Jackson adamantly defended her iconic son to Matt Lauer yesterday morning, calling allegations that the pop star molested two different boys “the biggest lie ever told.”

Katherine Jackson appeared on “Today” to discuss the case against Dr. Conrad Murray, who is accused of manslaughter in the death of her son. When Matt Lauer asked if there was anything else she wanted to share with the world about Micheal she immediately jumped into the scandal that nearly destroyed Michael’s career.

“As far as Michael being a child molester… that’s the biggest lie ever been told,” she said.

“His lawyers told him he should just pay the money,” Katherine said when Lauer asked why Jackson paid off his first accuser. “They thought that just paying the money and shut the people up would be the right thing to do.”

Jackson also revealed that Mike didn’t want to go along with the payoff, but his legal team insisted. She says Michael told her:

“I didn’t want to do it either mother, I wanted to fight it because I knew it wasn’t the truth.”

Michael Jackson‘s family sat down with Oprah Winfrey for an in-depth interview that aired on the “Oprah” show yesterday (Mon. Nov 8).

In the pre-taped interview, Jackson’s mother Katherine gave an update on her grandchildren, talked about her son’s addiction to plastic surgery, his death and much much more. The special also showed segments featuring the King of Pop‘s father Joeseph as well as his 3 children  Paris, Prince & Prince II (aka Blanket).

Katherine Jackson and her grandchildren (Michael Jackson‘s children) are suing AEG Live and are holding them accountable for Michael Jackson’s death!

Mrs. Jackson claims that AEG Live (the company behind MJ’s “This Is It” Tour) breached their agreement to take care of and provide physical care for Michael. She also claims that the company showed their disregard for Michael’s health (and his life) by hiring Dr. Conrad Murray as his physician.

In the document, Katherine also blames AEG for hiring Dr. Murray without a proper background check — claiming, “AEG did not provide a doctor who was truly looking out for Jackson’s well-being and did not provide equipment.”

The suit also alleges AEG caused emotional distress to Michael’s son Prince because he witnessed Michael suffering and dying, and “he was put in a position as bystander to these tragic events.” Kenny Ortega, who produced the planned London concerts for Michael, is also named as a defendant.

The attorney who filed the suit, Brian J. Panish, released a statement saying, “The purpose of this lawsuit is to prove to the world the truth about what happened to Michael Jackson, once and for all.”

Sounds like the Jacksons have their mind made up about blaming SOMEBODY (if not, ANYBODY) for Michael’s death. Not that there’s anything wrong that though…

It’s no secret that Michael Jackson did his best to keep his children sheltered in just about every way possible, including the life of attending a school with other children their age. MJ’s three kids Prince, Paris, and Blanket have been home schooled their entire life… up until now. With the 1-year anniversary of their father’s death coming up soon, their grandmother and legal guardian Katherine Jackson is switching things up a bit and is thinking about letting the kids attend a private school in the fall:

“They don’t have any friends. They don’t go to school, they have private lessons at home – but that will change in September, when they are due to enroll at private college. But they have their cousins and aunts and uncles around them constantly, and that’s helped them immensely. To them, it’s normal, it’s the life they have known. They have a certain time to go to bed, then they get up and get dressed for lessons. They practice karate and swim, which they love.”

Joe Jackson ruffled a lot of feathers earlier this week when he blamed his wife Katherine for their son Michael‘s death. But now the Jackson family patriarch is back tracking on the hateful comments he made towards Katherine. Check out what he told our buddies over at Pop Eater below:

“Katherine did not kill my son,” he told PopEater on Monday. “She isn’t at fault.”

This change of rhetoric follows a News of the World article where the patriarch said his wife refused to help Michael when he was at his frailest, “because she was afraid she was invading his privacy.” He added that, after the King of Pop’s tragic death, he admonished Katherine. “I said this would have never happened if you had went and been with him.”

The comments have spurred a flurry of responses from Katherine’s supporters. “The world knows that Mrs. Jackson has always been a loving mother and grandmother, and that she and Michael had a very special relationship,” her lawyer, Adam Streisand, told TMZ, adding, “The world also knows who Joe Jackson is and he seems bent on never letting us forget.” Howard Weitzman, a lawyer for the Jackson estate, called Joe Jackson’s comments “preposterous.”

Joe and Katherine Jackson married in 1949 and both currently reside, along with Michael’s three children, at the family home in Encino.

“MY” son? Really Joe?

Leave it to Joe Jackson to stir up some drama just one week ahead of the anniversary his late son Michael Jackson‘s death. In a new interview with UK tabloid News of the World, Joe recalls blaming his wife Katherine for Michael’s untimely death because she didn’t save him from his addiction to prescription drugs:

“Katherine was weeping uncontrollably and highly upset. But I didn’t give her a hug because I was MAD at her crying,” snaps Joe, 80, who says he had spent months urging her to get the singer into rehab for his prescription drugs addiction. “I said, ‘If you had listened to me Michael would be living now!’ I kept thinking about the times I had stood in front of her saying something was wrong. I couldn’t bottle up my feelings. Katherine didn’t say a word – I had to get away from her. If she’d done what I asked, Michael would be here today. I am incensed with her. She could have made a difference.”

Joe says: “I only saw him a couple of times in his last few months – and he looked weak, thin and like he needed to get some sleep. He really never had that glow in his eyes, which he had on stage. I didn’t know that he was addicted to drugs, but something was wrong.”

“It was a fan who told me Michael was being carried out of the house on a stretcher. Then it came on the news saying that he had a heart attack,” says Joe. “I knew I needed to get to LA. But on the way I found out by phone from La Toya he had passed in the car. I felt numb and unreal.”

Devastated Joe headed to the Jackson family compound in Encino as other members said their final goodbyes to the King Of Pop in the emergency room of the UCLA hospital in Westwood. “I didn’t want to see Michael laid out on the slab like that – that was not how I would want to remember him,” he says.

“I didn’t shed any tears, but maybe I should have. I just felt furious that my son was gone.” And he focused that fury on Katherine. “In Michael’s final months alive I said to her many times that I couldn’t get through to him – and that she needed to help her son,” storms Joe. “I had begged her to go over and stay with him, but she insisted he needed his privacy and gave him the slack she thought he needed. A child will listen to his mother more than his father – and Michael was a mummy’s boy. He listened to her.”

We’re gonna need Joe Jackson to keep his mouth shut from now on and just refrain from any interviews. Rarely does he have anything good to say and most of the time it seems like it’s just for publicity. And he always sounds so stupid!! How are you gonna blame a mother for her child’s death? How heartless can you be Joe?

According to a will published by Britain’s News of the World, Michael Jackson left each of his three children, Prince (13), Paris (12) and Blanket (8) a whopping $33 million dollars a piece! Under the late King of Pop’s trust, the kids will get 40% of their father’s estate. His mother Katherine Jackson is set to receive another 40% of the estate, and the remaining 20% will be set aside for charities. Papa Joe was left out of the will on purpose.

Meanwhile, the three young Jacksons won’t even be able to see their money until they turn 30, which is when they’ll receive 1/3 of their share outright.

Here’s what’s interesting … that we didn’t know until now.  Under the trust, Prince, Paris and Blanket  have no control of the money until they are 30 years old … until they turn 30 they just get income — almost like an allowance — determined solely by the trustee.  When each of the kids turns 30, the trustees must then give them 1/3 of their share outright.  When the kids reach 35, they get 1/2 of their share outright. At age 40, the kids then get what remains of their share — outright.

And even though it’s being said that the kids are set to receive $33 million dollars, that number is expected to grow tremendously over the years as the executors of MJ’s estate secure bankable business ventures including concerts, movies and song releases

Dr. Conrad Murray‘s court hearing was rescheduled moments before it was set to take place in downtown L.A yesterday. The hearing was originally scheduled to be held Monday (Apr 5) but the judge postponed the hearing due to his affiliation with Attorney General Jerry Brown, who wants Murray to have his medical license revoked.

Judge Michael Pastor, in the interest of full disclosure, told lawyers for both sides he was appointed to the bench by Attorney General Jerry Brown back in 1983 when Brown was governor of California. Brown is the one who is gunning for Murray’s license. And, in the “small world” category, Judge Pastor revealed he wrote a letter of recommendation for prosecutor David Walgren, who is looking to become a judge.

Dr. Murray is under fire for allegedly killing Michael Jackson on June 25th 2009 when he administered lethal amounts of Propofol (an operating room anesthetic) to the King of Pop. He is being brought to trial on charges including involuntary manslaughter, and he is pleading not guilty. Prominent members of the Jackson family, who believe that he is indeed responsible for MJ’s death, showed up to the court-house together to attend the hearing, which was postponed to June 15th.

Katherine Jackson‘s attorney Adam Streisand is speaking out against claims stating that Michael Jackson‘s youngest son, 7-year-old Blanket, was “almost” tased by his older cousin Jafaar (Jermaine’s 13-year-old son) with a stun gun that was immediately confiscated by a member of the family’s security team.

“Two weeks ago, Jermaine Jackson’s 13-year old son, Jafar, who lives with his mother Alejandra at the home of Mrs. Katherine Jackson, received a package with a taser he ordered online,” Streisand said. When Katherine and a security guard heard the sound of said taser being tested—on a piece of paper, Streisand assures—upstairs, they immediately confiscated the weapon.

“Mrs. Jackson took control over it and then had it removed from the house,” her lawyer continued. “There was no other incident. Blanket Jackson never saw or heard the taser. Neither did Paris Jackson. Prince saw the taser in the possession of security. There is no second taser. All of the kids are happy, healthy and wonderful, and that is Mrs. Jackson’s only objective and concern,” added Streisand.

Dr. Conrad Murray, the man accused of murdering Michael Jackson, was arraigned in court Monday (Feb 8) after being charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the King of Pop’s death last summer.

The criminal complaint says that Dr. Murray “did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson … in the commission of an unlawful act, not a felony; and in the commission of a lawful act which might have produced death, in an unlawful manner, and without due caution and circumspection.”

His bail was set at $75,000, which is three times greater than what people thought it would be. Though he wasn’t handcuffed, police took Michael Jackson’s former doctor into custody for booking. In addition, Murray must surrender his passport, which means he will not be allowed to leave the country. And if convicted, he faces a maximum prison sentence of 4 years.

The Jackson Family – Joe, Katherine, LaToya, Jermaine, Tito and Randy – were there, and as they made their way to their vehicles following the hearing, they candidly spoke to reporters.

After the proceedings, Mr. Jackson’s father, Joseph, who attended along with other members of the Jackson family, was asked his reaction to the charge. “We need justice,” he said..

“He’s a monster,” said the pop singer’s mother, Katherine Jackson, after a hearing for Dr. Conrad Murray. “This charge is a slap on the wrist,” said Brian Oxman, longtime lawyer for Jackson’s father Joseph. “There’s great disappointment here. [Conrad Murray] should’ve been charged with a higher degree of responsibility. What he did was reckless. It was a disregard for human life.”

“Michael was murdered and although he died at the hands of Dr. Conrad Murray, I believe Dr. Murray was a part of a much larger plan,” said Jackson’s sister, LaToya. “There are other individuals involved and I will not rest and I will continue to fight until all of the proper individuals are brought forth and justice is served.”

During Sunday night’s 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, Michael Jackson‘s kids, Prince Michael and Paris accepted the Lifetime Achievement Awards on behalf of their late great father. This was the first time that the world got the chance to hear Prince Michael speak.

“We are proud to be here to accept this award on behalf of our father, Michael Jackson,” said Prince Michael. “First of all, we would like to thank God for watching over us these past seven months and our grandma and grandpa for their love and support. We’d also like to thank the fans. Our father loved you so much because you were always there for him. Our father was always concerned about the planet and humanity. He has helped through many charities and donated to all of them. Through all his songs, his message was simple: Love. We will continue to spread his message and help the world. Thank you.”

And apparently it won’t be the last. Maya Angelou wrote a poem for the re-make of “We Are the World” and one of the song’s leading producers Quincy Jones says he’s going to try and get Prince Michael and Paris to read it at the end of the Haiti tribute, titled “We Are the World 25 Years for Haiti.”

Quincy is saving perhaps the most touching moment for last. At the request of Katherine Jackson, Maya Angelou penned a poem to be read at the end of the song. Quincy is going to speak to Michael’s children about reading that narration.

The charity song’s co-producer Lionel Richie told MTV that the King of Pop’s little sister Janet Jackson will sing her brother’s part.

Co-producer Richie said that Janet Jackson would be laying down her version of Michael Jackson’s part on Tuesday, and he hinted that some other artists might also be added over the next few days.

Nearly three months after his surprising death, Michael Jackson was finally laid to rest Thursday evening (Sep 3) in an intimate ceremony only attended by close family and friends at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, located in the Glendale district of Los Angeles. According to reports, guests were told the ceremony would start promptly at 7 P.M. (sunset) but the Jackson family left them waiting for about an hour until they showed up a little after 8 P.M. (PT).

Jackson’s brothers, Randy, Marlon, Tito, Jackie and Jermaine, wheeled his gold casket to the front of the service once they arrived, and his three children, Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael Jr., placed a gold crown on top of the flowers adorning it. They also wrote letters to their father that were placed inside of his casket, alongside one of his signature white gloves.

Celebrities among the attending guests were, of course, the Jackson family, Chris Tucker, Elizabeth Taylor, Quincy Jones, Berry Gordy, Macaulay Culkin, Rev. Al Sharpton, MJ’s ex wife Lisa Marie Presley and Gladys Knight, who sang a gospel song after a prayer by Pastor Lucius Smith. Clifton Davis also performed “Never Can Say Goodbye,” the popular song he wrote for the Jackson 5. After the ceremony was over, MJ’s brothers carried his casket to the Grand Mausoleum, where Michael Jackson entered his final resting place.

After the service, the family ate dinner at an Italian restaurant in Pasadena, CA.

With all the Michael Jackson rumors and drama that’s been surfacing lately, we can finally put to rest one pressing issue and get it out of the way. Michael’s mother Katherine Jackson has received custody of Prince, Paris and Prince II aka “Blanket” under terms of a deal that was reached Thursday (Jul 30). Under the deal, Debbie Rowe, Paris and Prince’s biological mother, will keep her parental rights but will not claim custody or receive any extra money.

“It’s an agreement, an agreement for the best interests of the children. This is not a money deal. This is not about money,” says Katherine’s attorney Londell McMillan. “There is no situation better for these children than for them to be raised and reared in the loving care of Mrs. Katherine Jackson.”

In addition, Prince and Paris know that Debbie Rowe is their mother and therefore, she will be allowed visitation rights to begin having a relationship with her children. The sessions will be supervised by a child psychologist.

We knew that with all the press and alleged rumors, there was no way Prince and Paris could avoid finding out who their real mother was if they didn’t already know. We’re just happy the kids are finally out of limbo and have a place they can call home.

According to the New York Post, Katherine Jackson and Debbie Rowe, mother of Michael Jackson‘s two eldest kids, have reportedly struck up a secret deal. Rowe apparently has agreed not to pursue custody for the kids as long as Joe Jackson does not have any part in raising them.

“The last thing she wanted was for those kids to be looked after by Joe and go through what Michael went through,” a source told the paper. ‘When [Rowe and Jackson] were [married], Michael poured out his heart about how much he loathed Joe for what he had done.”

In addition to this, they have also agreed that Rowe will never identify herself to the children as their mother, an agreement that Michael and Debbie initially had. Under the deal, she will get monthly supervised visits with Prince Michael and Paris and will be referred to as “Miss Debbie” the family friend.

If this is true, we don’t see how it could work. Since his death, Debbie has been over all magazines and tabloids. If the kids do not have access to these, they are old enough to simply look it up on the internet. We think the best thing is for Debbie to have no contact, as it has always been.
